Teaches straight from the book with EASY quizes each week. Gives you a 15 minute break everyday, and doesn't care if you leave. Very understanding, and chill. Reccommend, as workload is light, and class isn't a stress.

Very easy going and clear. He is super sweet and interested in his students. If you go to class and take good notes, you probably don't even need the book. The midterm and final are based on the book, but he covers it all completely. Two papers are required, but they are easy and he gives you a clear guideline on how they should be written.

He is the most nice teacher i have met, (not a moron). :) The quizzes are pretty easy but there is some critical thinking questions in there which are tricky. I hate the book, it is really hard to understand (Salmon). The midterm and final are like the quiz questions, so if your good with the quizzes then you will do fine.

Professor Law, though he has lengthy lectures, was one of my very first professors and my favorite of my first semester. Starting college later than most young adults I was very nervous for one of my first classes, but when I talked to Jerry Law about my fear to fail school he made it clear to me that I would be supported by him no matter what in his Ethics class. He was extremely flexible, understanding, kind, and all of the material you have to study for any quiz is always online in his lecture power points. Literally all of it. His quizzes are direct and not ridiculously lengthy- he doesn't try to trick you, but simply quizzes the knowledge you have studied. I really appreciated this style of teaching during my first year in college and was very lucky to have Jerry Law for a professor. A professor simply caring about your success and willing to work with you is worth so much!

Prof. Law is the sweetest gentleman. His lectures read to you, but he writes them quite thoughtfully and eloquently. The material is all common sense so it's easy to grasp the concepts. You just learn terms. He posts the entire study guide for the course from day 1 so I literally just wrote my notes on that and never missed a test question. Easy A!

This is a good choice if you have responsibilities outside of school, attendance is not mandatory and slides from lectures are posted online so studying can be done from home. Professor Law is a kind individual who is passionate about philosophy and cares about his students. My one complaint; he speaks quietly and is hard to hear sometimes

I had him for Ethics in Fall 2019. He is a kindhearted and caring person who loves philosophy. Your grade in the class is 7 quizzes and a paper. Quiz questions come directly from the powerpoints, which are on Canvas. He lets you take quizzes home if you miss taking them in class for whatever reason which is nice. Take his classes if you can!

COVID year. Honestly feel bad that I attended only 1 lecture because Jerry genuinely cared about what he taught and about his students. Very easy class, tests you can take twice and are based completely off lectures. Only 1 paper which was also fairly easy. Very sweet, feels like your typical boomer that isn't good at using tech but tries his best.

Class is super organized and easy to understand; professor is also super amazing and nice. There are lectures, but it's not mandatory to attend them live, and they're recorded so you can watch them later. Tests are extremely easy if you do the study guide. Read the PowerPoints and watch the lectures if you can!

This is a very easy class and Prof. Law is a very cool guy. It's super straightforward- a couple quizzes and 1 paper (graded easy). You can tell he's really passionate/knowledgable about what he's teaching. He's also really understanding and flexible with the entire class, allowing you to do assignments at times that work best for you. Take this!

Jerry was knowledgable and you can tell he cares about the topic he teaches. His work load is fairly easy. 5 quizzes and one paper- all take homes. I don't know why there are people complaining about his tests and essays. Yes, sometimes his wording can be confusing but honestly if you don't get an A -- the problem is probably. Easy A.

Mr. Law is a nice guy. Grade is made up of 5 quizzes and an essay. Prompts are kind of confusing for the paper but he is a lenient grader. quizzes are entirely built on the google slides he gives you. if you get anything lower than a B ur goofy lol.

If you need GE credits, this professor is the one you take for intro to philosophy. I honestly never listened in class and watched youtube every single class but still got an A. I of course listened sometimes when it interested me but most of the time I didn't. The only assignments are only 5 tests and a paper, which are all exceptionally easy.

I liked Jerry but only because I took this class as a GE. If this is a class you are taking for your major, I wouldn't recommend because the slow lecture pace, lack of any homework, and heavy reliance on MCQ tests makes retaining info difficult. That being said, it was a fairly easy class to pass and he is very kind and works with you if needed.

Great Professor. Gives great lectures with voluntary student participation, and interesting topics to discuss. There's around 8 canvas quizzes and one final paper. His PowerPoints are simple and he reads off a “script” but not in a bad way but rather to structure the lecture. Attendance isn't mandatory but he does take roll. 10/10, awesome prof!
