BEST TEACHER EVER! He understands you have a life outside of class, so he doesn't overload you with work. Open book, at home quizzes, which he went over in class before we took them! Very nice guy, fun to talk to! I would take him over and over again if I could! I would recommend him to anyone!! In class you work with groups, so its easier!

Wonderful teacher, always helpful. He repeats a lot but thats because class is once a week or an 8 week course. He just wants to make sure u remember it. At home quizzes, open book work, note on shared files, and u do group work. I wish he would have more class discussions. Other then that there is no way you can fail in less you just don't try.

Great Professor! The way he teaches his students in a different way than other professors. He repeats the material so that you understand the material, and when it comes to the test-- you already know the answer without having to second guess yourself. I would take him again.

This was my second class with Sorrell. He teaches in a manor that you learn the material. Tests are all open book, except for final. So do not worry, you will know the material by the time for the final. You break into groups after each class and do reviews over the material learned. I am taking him again in the fall. Love this Professor!

This professor is awesome if you pay attention in class and do the packets he gives out then you should have no reason to fail. be glad if you get him.

Great teacher. You'll watch a lot of youtube videos & take a lot of notes. He makes the class easy, so there is no reason to fail. He helps you on what to study before the tests. He is not boring or monotone. He keeps the class interesting. ONLY downfall is you will stay until whatever time class gets out. Very rare to get out 5-10mins early.

Favorite professor ever! The class is easy because he has designed it to be that way, he believes that learning should not be hard that is why we are allowed open note tests up until the final. He drills the material into your head repeatedly so when you take the final you will automatically recognize the answers. I HIGH FIVED HIM AFTER EVERY TEST!

This professor was Awsome! The first day he seemed intimidating to me (i missed the 1st week)but he's actually really chill. I had dropped 2 psych classes already, decided to even go in the afternoon class, as long as i had him. I passed w/ an A! His class is very easy, and he has a way that u actually memorize everything needed for the final. A

The best ever, easiest A you will ever get. Only 1 discussion board every week that's it, then he gives you study guide for the test that is every 3 weeks and it is the exact same as review. seriously cannot believe this class was sooooooo easy.

He helps you with test reviews and sends lots of announcements. He expects you to read and keep up with your announcments and emails. Great class!

Professor Sorrell is an awesome instructor. He responds to emails quickly and will go out of his way to help you if you don't understand something or having trouble. There are 3 tests, a final, and 5 discussions. He provides a review for each tests. The final comes from the reviews. If you do the discussions and use the reviews you will get an A.

Open book, open notes for all tests except for the final exam. Looooved this class. He's funny & keeps class interesting. No reason you should not make an A!

Even though this was an online course I learned a great deal from reading and the group discussions.

Amazing Professor. He sent out plenty of announcement to keep class up to date, clear expectations, answers emails fast, and grades in a timely manner. Only assignments were discussion boards and exams. Exams aren't difficult if you read the lectures and the chapters. Discussions boards are simple. No reason why you shouldn't make an A.

If you show up to class everyday and pay attention you will pass, most likely with an "A" I would highly recommend him for any psychology course that you need.

Mr. Sorrell was a GREAT professor!! I wish he would teach all classes, but excellent in this course. I took lifespan beofre with a different professor, and didnt understand, but with this guy, you're guaranteed a A+. I received an B because I missed an exam, and there is no retaking. Make sure you go to class, and particpate you will be just fine!

Easy teacher, lets you use review for test. Questions are exactly the same so easy grade however for final doesn't let you use review but the final was still easy. He gives you the answers to every review at the end of class and group participation is required. If you want something flexible & to have no worries he's the teacher to take!:)

Plays music at the start of class & shows youtube vids for the 1st 30mins of class. Some for class, some for fun! Awesome man, laid back and friendly! Open book/notes for all test! Minus the final which the review is spot on for it. Easy A+ if you show up to class and take each exam. Power points replace the book but it's helpful to have it.

I've been in school 4 2 years, i tell you this was the best, coolest, & understanding professor ever. This is the easiest class i have ever taken & easiest A I've ever made. He tells you his class is an easy A to begin with, as long as you show up you will get an A. He hands out reviews each class and you fill them out in class as he lectures, they are all easy. Everything is done in class and the exams are online so they are easy 100's because they are word for word from the reviews he passes out in class.

Such a nice guy and an easy coarse. If you take the time to read the book, it's actually interesting... although you don't have to read for the test. They're online.

One of the best online classes Ive ever taken, he responds to emails fast and is really there to help you out. Just do all your work and youll pass with an A easily. Every week will have homework but wont be for a grade (the test are based off that homework so itd be best to do it)

Such a great professor with a good sense of humor. Lecture is PowerPoint based with videos included that are actually interesting ! He highlights key points in powerpoints to take down as notes . Near the end of class he passes out a packet to be done in group work. All test are done online -10 questions only.

Easy A, however you still learn. You walk away from the class with learning all the key information for life span. It's amazing how his method of teaching really gets embedded into your brain. I didn't believe him at first but wow i walked away with a whole lot of information I didn't know and can explain to people. Impossible to fail this class.

This was a fun class, very easy open book test that he gives you review you can use for the tests which are identical to each other. He is funny and looks like a badass Santa. Has some interesting stories very enjoyable class he is cares for his student.

Studying his review and listening to his lectures then you can remember almost everything. He makes this class easy to study. Doing his quiz helps me to remember everything.

Dr. Sorrell is an amazing educator. He has a method to the madness, except the work isnt madness, it is fundamentally laid out to easily allow you to learn the information. You will be stunned at how much you learn stress-free. I took the final (comprehensive!) exam making a 100. Almost every single student will make an A due to his efforts. A+!

By far one of my favorite professors I have had. I took his PSYC 2319 class online for the summer and his assignments were never hard and you always learned something new. He emails you reminders weekly, very good at communicating and responds to emails fairly quickly.

There is no way you can fail this class unless you don't your part. Professor Sorrell keeps up great communication, a very balanced syllabus and lots of assistance to help you pass this course. You have your weekly discussion board post, which he just requires you to make an effort on, and a chapter test to follow which are open book w/reviews.

This is my second time to take Dr. Sorrell! I wish he could be my professor for every class. He tells you exactly what's on the test and doesn't leave any room for confusion. You can send your review questions before the test to be looked over and all exams (except final) are open note!!! Review questions are identical to the test.

One of the best professors I have taken. He is a great professor and is a helpful teacher. He makes Psychology fun and he wants all his students to pass with an A. He says you need your book but if you read his power points you dont really need it. I only used it like twice the whole semester. Just do all your work and reviews and you will pass.

I took this 8 week class online and the professor took time out to make videos covering the lectures and letting the students knw what to focus on. There were 8 discussion boards that are mandatory to keep track of attendance 5 exams and 1 final. Show up and do the HW and you will pass!

His class was very easy. Show up, receive study guide, get the answers and memorize them for the quiz the following week. They were pretty much identical to the study guide. Discussion assignments took about 30 mins. He's not a tough grader on those. He cares about you making a good grade and will help you. Just make sure to come to class. Easy A+

He designed this class to be easy and low stress. He is very supportive of students and quick to respond to emails. He adds in music videos to his power point presentations "to give your brain a break" and most of the informational videos he selects are interesting and sometimes humorous. His approach makes it easy to learn and retain information.

He makes sure to just teach you what you need to know. Has pop quizzes at the beginning of class but they're to make sure you know the material so they're not graded. Free textbook online!

Mr. Sorrell is one of the best professors I have ever taken. Class was very fun and he makes sure to make things short and sweet and not to overwork you with unnecessary assignments. If you need to take PSYC-2314 I HIGHLY recommend taking him, you will not regret it.

Best professor EVER!! I took his online class 2023Fl PSYC-2301. We had 7 Quizes,7 discussion assignments and our final exam. Dr. Sorrell would provide us with weekly PowerPoints and a video going over it, he explains everything clearly and if you have any questions, he response quickly.

Dr. Sorrell is as nice as they come, I loved this class. He's super communicative and always leaves us little videos to give our brain a break. I think it's impossible to get less than an A because he gives you the EXACT answers that you need to pass the quizzes. For the 8-week course, we had a discussion and quiz every week. Super manageable :)

This professor is AMAZING. I was a little nervous taking a psychology class, but he made it so easy. He basically gave you the answers for each test (you had to find them, but they were super easy to find) and he gave amazing lectures and power points that made it easy to learn as much as possible about psychology.

Professor Sorrell was one of the best Psychology professors I ever had. He made lectures fun and he loves discussing about Psychology with his students. Grading criteria and expectations are straightforward. Exams are mostly guided apart from the Final. Overall, classes were fun and assignments were simple!

I took this professor during the spring semester. Every week there was a quiz and discussion, where you are not required to respond to other students' posts. He is super chill with questions and grading. He prepares students very well to take every quiz, including the final exam. Plus, his textbooks are free!!!!

I took him for psychology online summer month long course, he was a very lenient professor, first few weeks he graded very lightly, by week three he started grading harsher but even then was still very easy on taking points off, all in all a very easy course thanks to him, i would highly recommend taking him again, seems to care a lot.

assignments were straightforward and set simple expectations. checks in every few days and is accessible outside of class. you'll do great if you stay caught up with and read the directions. the textbook is free, respondus was used twice, and the tests had two attempts (the second attempt only had the questions you missed)

Hes great. I took the 4-week class, and it took me maybe 3ish hours to complete the work per week. its around 4 assignments per week including tests no more than 300 words for the writing assignments and open book multiple choice quizzes. had 2 tests using respondus. final review had 90% of the questions on the final. Take for easy A.

Amazing Professor. You should definitely take him. His assignments are easy. He was very caring and responsive, often reminding his students of when assignments were due. He had quizzes and tests, but those were very easy if you read through the materials. From my experience, the final was made up of past tests and quizzes, so it was very easy.

Dr. Sorrell was an amazing professor. He made psychology fun to learn and the assignments were very easy. I don't think it ever took me more than 2 hours to complete any of his assignments. If you're looking for a fun course that's also super easy, go ahead and take him.

Took an accelerated online class with Dr. Sorrell. A LOT of reading and I mean A LOT. Since it was accelerated there was usually 2 assignments per week all due Sunday at midnight. Although there was a lot, he made sure to check in on us each week and was really nice. I rate a 6/7

Took accelerated 8-week course, it was easy. Three simple assignments each week (dis board, 300-word essay, or quiz) that should not take more than two hours altogether. Uses lockdown browser, allows some open-note quizzes, and responds quickly. Lots of reading, but it is not necessary to read all. The final is a combination of previous quizzes.

Some quizzes are proctored, while others are not. There are two tests that are protected, and the discussion board is quite easy as long as you understand the materials. He also gives feedback on the discussion board.
