Amazing. Everything was posted onto canvas so no need to show up to class. Has a weekly 10 question quiz that was word-for-word from the textbook, and a Packback. All the tests are open-note/book. The one thing is all the tests are ONLY true/false, so you need to think - but almost all the questions come directly off his slideshows that he posts.

(Actually 206 review) TAKE HIM! I was nervous to take POLS at A&M because I heard it can be difficult but he made it so understandable. Just one 10 question quiz and a packback a week along with 3-4 tests over the span of the semester. Look over his notes on Canvas and you'll be good. I'm already signed up to take his 207 class next semester!

Chupp is great, his tests can be difficult if you weren't in class, but he also records his lectures. He gives extra credit on the exams, and is overall pretty knowledgeable about poly sci.

This class is an easy A if you put in the effort. Weekly packbacks and quizzes, and he takes the top 10 from each and drops the rest. There were 4 exams (drops the lowest) that are 50 true/false and are open note/internet... most of the answers come from his lectures. I took both 206 and 207 and got As on both, very doable if you put in the work.

Professor Chupp does an excellent job creating clear connections between concepts throughout the course, emphasizing them heavily throughout the semester. It's important to attend lectures and pay attention to his commentary, but if you miss one or two you can always catch up from the slides. I'd recommend him in a heartbeat!

Absolutely loved having him for POLS 207! Easy workload, one 10 q quiz and one packback per week (only the top 10 grades for both are taken) and 4 exams (lowest one dropped). Exams are 50 T/F questions online on canvas, but if you attend the review sessions the week of, he goes over the material you need to know, and everything is open note

DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOKS! You can use quizlet and get all of the same info for the quizzes. All assignments are open note, internet, etc. Very good prof and if you go to the review sessions, you do very well on the tests (which are take home btw).

Professor Chupp was a great professor, he responds to emails quickly, its graded by participation, weekly quizzes that are open note, and 3 exams ( the highest of four). His lectures are to the point and he doesnt ramble about stuff that wont be tested. Exams are open note and internet and your given like 3 hours to take the exam. Great Prof!

ONLY take Chupp for any POLS classes you have to do. Class is extremely low effort and gives insane extra credit. Tests are on canvas take home: open note, open internet, etc. Shows answers to see what you got wrong right after submission. Do not buy textbooks for this class. Reading can be found free online.

I hate POLS but he made the class better. His exams are only true or false so you have to know whats going on, but he also does the best reviews so as long as you go to the review days you should get a good grade on the exams.

I took completely online pols 206 taught by professor Chupp. The class was very straight forward with a very scheduled weekly routine. Overall I probably spent less than a couple hours a week total with work for this class as the lectures are somewhat short, but enough to get a good grade on the tests. I will be taking Mr. Chupp again for 207.

He is very passionate about the subject he teaches, and wants you to succeed! He dropped one low test grade, plus a good amount of Packback grades (discussion posts) and quiz grades. Exams are in true/false format and are open-note. Just take good notes during his lectures. He also gave lots of extra credit. He is very approachable and friendly.

Professor Chupp is AMAZING. We had two assignments per week, one being a participation grade for Packback. The exams are identical to the review he holds before every exam. If you attend the review there is no way you can fail. He loves to see his students succeed, gives out a lot of hints during lecture, and bonus points for attending the review.

Pretty easy class, Only counts the top 10 assignments and 10 quizzes. You also get your lowest exam grade essentially dropped. The exams are the only confusing thing especially the first one because the exam is entirely based off of his recorded lectures and slides.

Professor Chupp is one of the best professors I've ever had. I was concerned in taking a political science class because I've had over-opinionated teachers and professors in the past whose own ideas took away from the class, but Chupp was unbiased, cared about us learning, and fostered an environment where we could learn and share ideas freely.

Online course was very easy as long as you do all the assignments. Everything is open note so you can get by without reading the textbook on quizzes and exams are based off lecture. However if you want a straight shot A you should read up on the textbook so you'll have an easier time with quizzes. Overall the class was very adequate for pols!

This was by far the easiest A that I have taken during the Fall of 2022 semester. He uploads the lectures online so you don't even have to go to class. However, you do need to pay attention to what he says in class- that's what he bases the tests on. I never read the book and did just fine, but read it. Do your packbacks and weekly quizzes.

Anyone who chats disrespect on Chupp's name is wrong. This class is so easy, read the chapters for the quizzes, copy the slides for the exams. There are some inconsistencies on his exams but I emailed him with evidence and got them changed. I didn't do perfectly on the exams, but the packbacks and quizzes are light so its not that deep.

Chupp is awesome. He really knows what he is talking about and the class is easy. He understands everyone has to take POLS 207, so he does not want to see you fail. Highly recommend!

Very organized in terms of how the class is ran, no surprise assignments randomly showing up in Canvas. Quizzes are all about the textbook and tests are solely based on the lectures. The tests are all true/false questions and his interpretations takes precedence over the textbook(they might conflict).

This is the best teacher for POLS 207. There are four exams, and all the exam questions are True/False. Plus they're open-note and open-internet. Same goes for the weekly quizzes. You don't have to go to lecture, but he's a great speaker, so I would recommend it. He's a very chill guy that is fun to listen to.

All lectures are posted online, almost 30% of lowest assignment grades are dropped alongside one test, and tests are online over the duration of the weekend. Review days answer nearly half of the test questions. Easy filler class to take. Chupp is the best!!

Simply, the perfect POLS professor. He understands that most of his students have other class commitments, and makes it very accessible to get an A. For the tests, all you need to do is watch the review video, and you will learn the unit and do well on the test pretty easily. He doesn't give a ton of busy work and is overall a very nice guy.

Super great guy! Absolutely take Chupp if you can, especially if you have a lot of hours and want to knock out an easy POLS class. He gives 1 bonus point to your final course grade if you go to his review session before tests which is really awesome. Tests are open note/internet and all his answers are in his slides, just read them carefully.

If you are taking a POLS class, I could not recommend him enough! If you really want to learn about political science, maybe pick a different professor. He wants everybody to ace this class and wants by the end of the semester for his classroom to be empty. Chupp knows that POLS is a required course and wants to make your load as light as possible.

Dr. Chupp's lectures are amazing, and keep your attention. Luckily, this leads to you actually learning, which translates perfectly to the exams, which are all online. All the homework, textbooks, quizzes, and participation are all online as well. There's no due dates, meaning you can knock them all out early. Amazing teacher, would take again.

All exams and quizzes are open note and open internet. Have to purchase textbooks, but you don't really need to read them.

If you're taking a lot of credit hours and need at least one easy class, take professor Chupp. He records his lectures, and his assignments are not time-consuming. He also takes only a portion of every type of assignment, so if you miss one it's fine. His quizzes and exams are open everything (use the slides he posts and go to reviews).

This professor is amazing, we were an in person lecture class but he made it incredibly easy to do everything from home and virtually. He had large gaps in between assignments and an extremely clear syllabus. I would take any course he teaches as he is a great lecturer as well.

His assignments don't take too long at all and are reasonable for each week. If you were happy with your grade after Exam 3 and finished the required number of quizzes (you don't need to do all of them for full credit), then every assignment/the final was optional. Exams were true/false questions and online/open note, and he records lectures.

Dr. Chupp made POLS 207 an interesting class to take. The assignments are just weekly packbacks and quizzes which are quite simple and don't take up a lot of time. The exams were in an online format with 50 true or false questions which were open notes. However, most of the exam questions are answered in the exam reviews.

He lets you use open notes and open internet on exams, which makes it 100x less stressful. He doesn't require attendance and uploads all his lectures. I thought I'd still go, but I ended up doing the course and reading the textbook at home, rather than attend the lectures. I appreciate him making the class lenient and easy to do from home.

Out of all the professor options, he's definitely the best one for this course. Although he does his lectures in-person, he also posts them online, so you don't even have to show up to class if you don't want to. Professor Chupp is by far my favorite professor. I took him as an online class and it was so easy to get an A. The tests were kind of tricky sometimes, but if you go back and watch the lecture recordings he almost verbatim says the answer. Will be taking him for all future pols credits.

Chupp is the best option for the POLS credit, all the quizzes and homeworks were easy, just don't wait until the last second to do them. The exams could sometimes be annoying just because he based the questions on his interpretation.

One of the easiest classes I've ever taken - all material is open note, open textbook, open lecture, open internet, even exams. Homework is no issue, just weekly readings and packback assignments. Chupp himself is a pretty nice lecturer, and with how chill the class is participation is encouraged and lectures teach content well.

DON'T TAKE ANYONE APART FROM CHUPP. As an engineering major I wanted to focus on my core classes, I could not imagine having to put a significant amount of effort into my non-major courses in order to get an A. With Chupp, I was able to do just that. If you want to make your life easier and have the opportunity to take Chupp, do it!!!

The only lecture I went to was the first one so I can't say I know Dr. Chupp on a personal level. However, I can attest to the ease. I got an A with minimum effort despite my absence. Like others have said, all of the content for this class is open everything so if you're good enough at googling and using AI, you should be perfectly fine.

Best professor for this class. He records all lectures and basically lets you take the class completely online. The tests are crazy easy, I never studied and didn't make lower than a 96. You only need to attend and take notes on the test review lecture. He also was just an interesting guy, I loved listening to him talk about Passbacks.

I haven't finished the course yet, but I know I will end with an A! I have the 8am lecture but the class is all online and the test are completely open note. I show up to lectures just for a place to sit and study, but he also has exam reviews which add a bonus point to your final grade. I HIGHLY recommend taking Chupp!

With Chupp just know this class is a free A with at most 20 minutes per week. Lectures are never mandatory, so this class was basically an online class for me. If you do decide to go, you can tell he's an amazing lecturer. Do anything you can to take him, especially if you're in engineering and want to focus on physics and math classes.

As a freshman in general engineering, Prof Chupp made POLS 207 a simple class I didn't need to stress over. Assignment-wise, he takes the top 10/16 Packback posts, top 20/30 quizzes, and top 3 exams (optional final). He calls this a "glorified online class", meaning everything is open internet and open lecture/slides (which he posts). Chill prof!

Everything is online. 95% of the class can be found on quizlet. There are weekly Packback discussion posts and responses but those are easy. If you just do two quizzes, one post, and two responses a week it takes about an hour if you're fast and you won't need to take the final test. Just wait to take him until I register for 206 with him first.

Professor Chupp was one of the best profs I've had here at A&M. As a BIMS major, this class was one that I didn't have to stress too much about. Exams are open notes, open internet, etc and straightforward. Loved being in his class and would reccomend him to anyone.

Best Prof for POLS 207. Assignments were easy to complete and only took 30 minutes to do. Exams were super simple and if you studied the night before you will get an easy A. Would highly recommend putting off 207 if you can until you get Chupp if you want to make your life easier.

Chupp is one of the freest professors you can ever have. So many open note and open internet assignments (quizzes AND exams!) that you MUST take him if possible! If you don't care for the course material, take this class. It is ZERO effort for a free A, as long as you do the assignments.

This class was insanely easy and you never HAVE to go to class, but when I did it was always interesting and insightful. Practically impossible NOT to get an A in this class. Chupp is an amazing professor/THE BEST for this class! Every assignment is open internet and extra credit is given for attending review sessions. I was done with this class BEFORE thanksgiving break AND i have a 103. He even only takes around 75% of the highest assignments in a certain category.
