Great class, easy. Just quizzes from notes and graded projects.
This man is incompetent and REALLY boring! I dread his class every Wednesday. There are only three grades; a journal, a midterm, and a final. The movies screened inclass are equally boring. Take FIL 2400, it satisfies the gen. ed. requirement!!
Easy. He repeatedly tells you exactly what you need to know for the tests. Have to write a review for each movie that you screen including 10 outside of class, but he's a nice guy who knows his stuff and makes it easy to understand.
This guy is the man. You should take his class. Go Broncos!
I like the class. The requirements are easy, nothing difficult. Definitely pay attention to the lectures even though inside your head you will be screaming "When will it be over!". I like being able to watch different genres of movies. Very inte
Cool guy, interesting lectures and the movies are usually good. Easy tests, lets you retake midterm if you missed it.
Halarious teacher (expecially when his car blew up and we didnt take the midterm) deffinetly choose him.
EASY EASY EASY is all you can say about his class. Lets you make up the exam if you miss it which is a little unfair to the real dedicated students but who cares when you get an easy A right!
He is the greatest. Very cool teacher. Funny guy, and anything else you can think of to describe the best film teacher ever. Take the class.
Great class. If you want an easy A take this. Class is a little boring but you can leave and watch the movies at home on your own time. I definately recommend taking this class.
Only 2 tests. Incredibly easy homework- reviewing films! It can't get any better than that. He picks mostly good films to show in class, but be prepared for something boring like 'Finding Nemo'
AWESOME class! Take few notes and watch movies. Gives 2 very easy tests that he reviews for. Not strict on the talking while testing either. Journals due at the end, he acts like he will grade hard, but doesnt. VERY easy A, as well as enjoyable.
very hot teacher.
Jesse is an awesome teacher! Very insightful. I think you would have to try to fail this class.
The course itself isn't fascinating, but it's very easy and Prof. Wolfe makes it interesting.
Great class, easy tests, movies are a bit...odd/disturbing but I would take this class again, very nice teacher..
TEST SUPER EASY. Nice guy, movies are strangely odd but intresting.
ridiculously easy tests, ridiculously easy class, dont back out of this one unless you enjoy working for everything
SUPER EASY. Some movies are terrible and some are great. Doesn't stick to syllabus regarding films so if you miss class make sure you find out what movie was shown. Only a moron could fail this.
You have to love this class - it's the easiest 'A" in existance, you could skip the movies and lectures and still get an 'A'... TAKE IT... easy GPA booster.
SOOOO EASY! Take this class. Film's interst varies. Got to see the godfather this semester. Tests are a JOKE. Only a moron could get a B in this class. If you get a B, you don't belong in college. Try going back to elementary school.
Jesse is a great teacher who has worked in Hollywood and New York, so he knows whats up. He is so funny and informative that going to class was actually fun. The movies he shows are pretty good too.
Hes really cool and pretty hot.
Great professor, passionate about the subject and that comes across in the teaching. Respectful and friendly to students. Easy class if you study your notes.
Really nice guy. Only complaint is the selection of movies. I only like a handful. Other than that I have nothing bad to say about the class. As long as you're familar with the notes (5 pages worth the final) you should get an "a" or a "b".
Okay, first of all, this guy is NOT hot. He is a really easy professor, and he makes the lectures interesting and fun, but the movies SUCK!! I would reccommend taking him, but you should know that he keeps you the full 3 hours each class, and he uses a +/- grading scale, so a 94-100 is an A and a 90-93 is an A-, and so on, but tests are easy!!!
really hot teacher, and passionate about what he is teaching. Funny and witty guy, however the movies aren't exactly great. Easy A, just make sure u take notes and go over them, tests are directly from the notes and a few questions are from the movies.
For a class thats supposed to be a joke, its not that easy. You have to study for his tests, I didn't for the first one and got a B on it. I still got an A in the class. His test questions can be really poorly worded and you'll know the material but might miss the question b/c of the way he words it. Keep that in mind and its a good GPA booster.
Thank god I had friends to come see in this class or I would have never came cuz his movies are so dull and stupid. Nevertheless his tests are super easy (exactly like notes). Be aware though he'll keep you the full time allotted to him. I walked away with an easy A. GPA boosting class for sure!
I thought this was just a movie watching class, but he actually does notes too. When I realized this, I started to do better. Just make sure you start studying from the start so you don't mess up your grade like I did. Easy class though, easy material to remember, boring movies though.
Easiest Class Ive ever had in college. Would Definately take him again for any class that he teaches. Knows a lot about film, he produced/worked with a bunch of great movies (Shawshank Redemtion, Sinefield). Ended up getting an A- and even missed 3 movies. Take the class with some friend to make it even easier.
So easy!! If you listen to him the day before the test he goes over the answers to the test. i didnt go for any of the movies, and only like two of the four of his lectures and I got an A.
HE IS HOT! i am not interested in film, but having him as a professer definately captured my interest somewhat! 3 quizzes & 1 final exam (both parts worth 50% of grade). questions r directly from lectures & not too tricky! let me warn u though, the films u will watch r 3 hrs long, and most r black/white & silent! if u can stay awake, TAKE HIM!!!
Fun to listen to, knows what he's talking about, excellent teacher
Pretty easy class. Every test is pretty much the same thing but with different movie questions. If you have access to the films he shows or are able to get the info about the them just hope for the best on getting those questions right. Class time is used alright. Sometimes the time people waste time asking dumb questions about movies
Prof Wolfe is one of those professors that really make you happy to have chosen to go to college. He really knows his stuff, actually cares about what he is saying, and makes you care also. The tests are cumulative but so very easy, as long as you go to class (which was once a week for me) and listen. He is very funny, so you will want to be there.
He was awesome! The class was really fun to go to, never once did I dread his lectures. Plus the movies you get to watch are really great!! Recommend him! :) No book use, and straight notes from his lectures, but notes are never too long.
Easy A, all you gotta do is copy down the lectures and watch the movies, no book required. Nice guy, makes class fun, def knows what hes talking about.
Likes to hear himself talk. All his test questions are taken strait from the notes he puts on the overhead and questions from the movies you watch in class. It's impossible to get an A on his tests because he words them differently. To do well, get ALL the notes and watch ALL the movies he shows. The rest is just fluff.
Tests are straight from lectures and the movies. But he tries to trick you in the tests by rewording them. He's hot too so it's okay.
Teacher is easy going and has a great sense of humor. Class is paced nicely so you won't fall behind. Movies screened are highly entertaining. He is also very hot and makes coming to class all the more worthwhile.
EASY EASY EASY! If you don't get an A in this class its your fault not Professor Wolfe's. Just copy down notes from the powerpoint slides and watch the movies and you should ace every test cause they are so freakin easy! TAKE THIS CLASS!
Great class! I actually learned quite a bit. Just make sure to take notes from the powerpoint presentation. Very easy A.
The easiest class i have ever taken!!!!brings me back to high school...go to class watch the movies and study the overhead notes...and your good to go....If you don't get an A+ on in this class..your obviously partying too hard!!!
Very easy class, simply take notes and watch movie each week.
His class is very laid back. You watch movies, listen to lecture (30 minutes tops) and participate in discussions. He's down to earth, but a bit pretentious at times. He grades really hard and his quizzes are tricky so you will have to WORK for your A. There's a research paper which he grades really hard but fair on. Grading system is odd.
hes really tricky when it comes to his tests. 4 tests is ur grade. easy material. dont expect to get an easy A. for the tests, STUDY AND KNOW THE NOTES WORD FOR WORD. movies are boring and most of them suck. = /
Jesse Wolfe stole my heart! he's a cutie. Alot of the movies were boring but we got to watch a few goodies. Overall, easy class, if you need an A though, you have to go and watch the movies or at least have a good understanding of them.
You might think this class wil be super easy but it is actually quite tricky! There are four exams each worth 25% of your grade. The tests are worded very tricky and you pretty much need to know the notes word for word. So don't blow off studying becuase you think the test will be really easy, becuase it could mess up your grade
GREAT class. Very simple but not easy. Study about 30-60 mins before the tests an you can get an A. I got only 4 questions wrong the entire semester. Watch the movies, listen to lecture, get an A
Easy Class. Great Teacher. Know his notes well, and watch the movies and it's an easy A. The movies are however very very boring.
Easiest class ever! Tests are straight forward and questions are very easy. Just go to class b/c he asks questions on the movies. Easy A!
EASIEST CLASS AT UCF! Get the notes, watch the movies, and your guarenteed an A. You have to be retarded not to get an A ...
Don't be fooled. This is a very easy class, but it extremely easy when you copy the notes he gives you. You could get away with not watching the movies. He grades +/-. Don't think you are going to walk in and do nothing and walk out for an A. You in a way have to earn it. Don't get me wrong though... VERY EASY class.
Easy class. Study the notes about 20 minutes before test and you'll be fine. We just deicded to rent the movies and w/o even really paying attention we all got A's. It's an easy gen ed so you'd be silly to take anything else.
if you have no previous script or even film experience this class will be difficult. very cool teacher, though. willing to help, tells interesting stories about his life and work, lectures are explained well, tests are easy.
completely arrogant and full of himself, has no real interest in you or your projects but loves to talk about himself and makes sad attempts to impress you. the focus of the class should be on the growth of the students, not to self-serve the ego of man whose career never really went anywhere. thats not our fault, we shouldnt have to suffer.
The class itself was kind of tedious because it's just a lot of definitions and memorization. The quizzes are relatively easy if you glance over the notes. Wolfe himself was kind of arrogant and too opinionated in my opinion (ha) but he was interesting at times and not that bad.
It didn't matter that my class was late at night, the prof made it worth coming to. He's humorous and clearly adores everything to do with film. Lectures are a little tedious, but the notes are all given to you via PPT (although not made available outside of the classroom) and the texts/exam comes directly from the notes. I'd reccomend taking him.
He's a cool guy i have taken his class 4 times and always do well
he is cool as****
Easy class, he's very straightforward and hot :)
I love this guy! He's a self-proclaimed film snob and can back up everything he says. His class is entertaining and informative, and the tests do not deviate far from the notes he gives. I plan to take several more classes from him before I graduate.
He thinks if is the greatest thing but it is rather annoying that he can't plan use of time during his lectures. most of the movies last after class time because he talks too much about a lecture(shapes such as circles and cubes)
Knows his film stuff! Loves what he teaches. Corny jokes, but he keeps a potentially boring class entertaining. Quizzes are tough- in that he posts them on a screen instead of paper. Have to read questions carefully. But have learned a lot and doing ok gradewise
easy film class and funny guy. a bit arrogant though. recommended
Very nice teacher, extremely helpful. And very nice to look at, also. :)
i loved it. the tests were extremely straight forward as long as you copied the notes. Film was actually interesting with his enthusiasm and passion for his class. Bottom line: I definitely recommend it.
Wolfe is a very passionate, knowledgeable man. His lectures are energetic and entertaining. The tests are fairly straight-forward, watch out for questions that are worded to catch you off-guard. He is madly in love with himself, but it never interfered with class. The films he showed were hit and miss, but all relevant to lectures. Recommended.
Come to the first day of class well prepared. Don't try and hide anything while making your film, be honest and upfront. He is an understanding professor.
First and sometimes only screenwriting class most students take, and he spends almost no time or focus on your writing or scripts. Talks endlessly about himself and his failed career, showed ALL of his film school films. Assigned bringing 50 pages worth of script copies for class reading, then never did it. Literally gave EVERY script a B.
Took him for Cinema Survey & so glad I didn't take it with anyone else! easy A as long as you read the notes from class. Tests are taken straight forward from the notes & are multiple choice!
Easy peasy lemon squeezy
TAKE IT! such an easy class! didnt even show up to class and i got the notes from other people and still got an a. you dont have to stay for the movies just google em before the test. the final was only 50 questions and it was pretty much the two quizzes put together. deffinately recommend taking this!
This class is super easy if you go to class and takes the notes, that's where all his test questions come from. He dropped our lowest quiz grade and I got an easy A in the class. Just study the notes and you'll be fine.
Take this class if you need it for a Gen. Ed. He tries to show movies in class based on the lesson plan of the day. The movies he chooses are pretty good. Best of all, there's no textbook required for the course which saves students money! Easy to get an A if you study the notes a little the night before the tests.
easy class! lecture notes on power point. take notes and you'll do great! if you stay for the films, leave your phone, laptop OFF- this is really his only rule. Funny, engaging, made the class interesting :)
Really good teacher. Knows his stuff. I'll definitely take him again in the future. I wish I had tried harder, but an A in this class isn't impossible. Just requires a tiny bit of effort. I gave almost no effort and got a C. It might be impossible to fail.
No textbook is needed for this class. He is so passionate about film and it makes us want to learn. "Jesse" (as he told us to call him) is super helpful and very knowledgeable. He goes fast with his notes so I recommend taking pictures of the slides with your phone that way you don't miss a thing! This class is an easy A if you put in the effort.
He is very helpful and is very passionate about film. If you want an A all you have to do is take good notes and send the reading assignments on time. Best teacher to have!
Fantastic class! Had it over the summer, no textbook, 3 quizzes, 3 reading assignments and a Final. Simple as that and his lectures are worth listening to, pretty interesting.
I loved this class. I felt like he had experience in what he was teaching and I actually felt like I was learning something that would help me in the future.
