Prof. Bagger is a really good instructor, she talks a little fast but she tries to work on it. Her Sweedish accent is refreshing. The tests are a little hard and there is a semester long group project that is pretty easy. I really enjoyed this class!!
Dr. Bagger likes teaching, Her classes are 1/2 lecture and 1/2 group discussion. The group semester project is time consuming and is a major part of the grade. What makes her tests hard is that you not only have to know the definition of terms, but how to apply the concepts in real life situations and she doesn't give any study guides to help.
Awesome
Great teacher!
Really effective; Dr Bagger clearly cares about our success and goes the extra mile.
One of the best professors I have had here!
Great professor! High energy and great sense of humor. Optional cumulative final, cares about students. Tests are average difficulty. She's a generous grader on the term project as well. Putting in the work gets you the A in this class. B should be obtainable for average students. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to take HROB 151
Test are sort of hard. But if you pay attention to lecture and read some of the book, you should be find. There is a big group assignment, so hopefully she assigns you to a good group. Overall, I felt this class was interesting, but a little bit of an HROB 101 review.
She is super nice, upbeat, and keeps your attention during class. Took her first semester hybrid course so LOTS of website problems so it made it harder. Her exams are: HARD, online, but open book b/c based on details. You have to work hard and read in order to pass class. If you want to learn take her, if you want an easy A, look for someone else
DO NOT TAKE THE HYBRID CLASS! Dr. Bagger is an engaging teacher, but she sticks to her policy. The CENGAGE portion of the class was frustrating; the tests were also super hard. I am A/B student, and I don?t mind working hard but this class was tough. There is a final that covers all the chapters.
One of the best teachers I have ever had. Passionate about her suject, supportive of the students, open to other ideas and maintains an infectious, high energy style of teaching throughout the course. The work is challenging but not overly demanding. Highly recommended.
Dr. Bagger is passionate about the subject and her students. Took her online class, lectures were clear and relevant to tests. Would highly recommend!
I like Prof. Bagger, she knows her stuff. This is the second class I have taken with her. She can be hard, & she sticks to the grading in the syllabus. But if you are willing to do the work you will do well. This was an online class & the Connect platform is sometimes a struggle & it?s hard to know what will be on an exam. YOU MUST READ the text!
Class/teacher are def not as hard as everyone says. Connect assignments are very timely so thats the only downfall. Didn't watch any lectures, bought the E-book and just searched it for all questions on the test. got an A on both tests and final. Just time consuming, not hard
Professor doesn't do anything. All work is done through textbook website. Weekly quizzes are poorly made/written. Exam questions come straight from the textbook so fair exams. crtl-f
not very helpful when you have questions about the hw. tests and quizzes come straight from the book though
Online: Do the e-book and use ctrl-f. Final is same as previous exams, but beware, they have HUGE test banks. I have been told lectures are extremely helpful but I did not watch them and got a B. The homework is HORRIBLE: time consuming, long, and often repetitive. I think I would have preferred an in-person class.
I'm about 1/2 way thru class. Instructor is lame, does nothing but repeat book. Everything is online based, and w/specific deadlines. Ridiculous you have M-F to complete lecture & hmwk, I attend night school bc i work, hello, we should have wkends too. She wont interact with you & must rely on other students. Sac State is really losing my respect.
She's an okay professor. Group projects are lame and take up too much class time. (2 presentations per group, 1 of which is 40 mins long). Would have rather had more lecture time to learn the material. No study guides. Exams cover lecture material, including things not in the book so attendance is important. Other than that, she can be entertaining
Online class - teacher makes no effort to teach the material on her own. She takes the book from the publisher, "lectures" from the slides provided by the publisher, and all the test and homeworks are provided by the McGraw Hill. You go through the entire 500 page book in the semester. Don't take if you want to learn and don't want your time wasted
I took this online class and although it was someone difficult I managed to get great grades. Professor sent out an e mail saying the final was on Thursday, when I went to take it it said that I had missed it, I checked my e mail and she sent out another email 4 days prior rescheduling it. So I missed it and she would not budge...so upsetting
Took the online class.McGraw learning is where all the quizzes and exams are. They are extremely difficult. Especially since you have an etextbook. This class is very challenging. The research activity is easy you just have to do it. The quizzes are very difficult. Professor sticks to her syllabus. She doesn't like to email you.
Online class-read the textbook all assignments and exams are based off. I didn't watch any lectures-just read the book and got a A. Takes highest 11 scores (out of 13) for the class assignments-you get a week for each so take your time and do well. I enjoyed the class and didn't have any trouble with the website/contacting the professor
There's weekly online assignments which can be hard at times. The course requires a lot of reading but all exams are open book and the last exam is cumulative.
MUST BUY THE BOOK. The book is interesting, but it's not something I think anyone should be tested on. Tested on EVERYTHING in the book. There's just too many terms that one can't remember! If you read another book, same topic, the terms and statistics/research are not the same. This is one of those classes that you take because it's required.
I totally adore her! You DO NOT NEED BOOK! Her tests are from her power-point. Class isn't mandatory. Both of her classes are same format. If you want to take HR classes, she is your angel! You will love her. Easy grading. Extra credit. She is very smart with multiple BA degrees and of course has her phd.
Great teacher. I got the inexpensive online edition book; It was very helpful when studying for exams and the case studies were actually interesting and on current businesses like Google Microsoft, and Zappos. Took the hybrid HROB101, would definitely take classes with her again, she's funny, knowledgeable and clearly cares about her students.
I took the hybrid section. Straightforward and rather easy class. Prof did a good job making the material interesting. She pulls some questions from quizzes in the book when making the exams. 3 exams, lowest score dropped. Mandatory, cumulative final on broad concepts. Rest of work is online, mostly opinion based assignments (easy points).
I took the hybrid class so we did not meet very often. When we had class, lectures were very well done and clear. Nice teacher and easy enough class. You MUST have the book and you must study it hard but the concepts are not difficult. Get the online version of the book and use the "study version" before tests. Tests are MC and T/F
Easy grader, she will give random extra points as well. Would take this class again.
Didn't do so hot on tests which were surprisingly hard, but got solid A's on the Projects/Presentations and journal assignment. She is super friendly and has a Swedish accent. Listens to students.
Her lectures are very boring. Tests are from her lectures and are somewhat hard. The overall points for the whole class is 100 and every little point matters. She is super sweet, and so nice. You will love her as a person but not so much as a teacher. She does not give out study guides, but your lowest exam is dropped.
Theres 3 tests and 1 final, drops the lowest score. She doesn't give you study guides or pass back your tests after she grades them so you're pretty much on your own for everything. She has a low point system so there's little room for error in this class. You're put into groups to have pointless group activities/discussions. Need to read book.
Hybrid course that met 2/3 times a month. 3 tests and 1 final, she drops the lowest score. There's a lot of individual/group assignments that are online. Her tests are really hard she doesnt provide study guides. You need to buy the book and read it to understand the material. Use the study tools that the online book provides and you should be fine
Exams are very tough total of 4 & she drops the lowest exam. No study guides. You have to buy the textbook and read for the exams. There are group assignments where sometimes you have to work with your group. Her class is out of 100 so very little room to make any mistake. I enjoy her lectures and print out her lectures notes before class.
She is amazing very fun and energetic and makes class fun. Would take her over again for every class. Pretty easy as long as you go to class and write down some notes. I only got a B because I didn't do the once a week hw which is easy so do that and your good. One of the better teachers I've had here!
Prof. Bagger is by far one of the better professors at CSUS. Her lectures are very interacting and she gives great examples to help you learn the material. Took the hybrid class and lectures online were through video. Uses a lot of charts and pictures from the textbook to help you remember ideas. Really recommend taking for HROB 101.
This is a tough class and requires a lot of studying, and understanding the material in depth. Because it is a hybrid class it is sometimes difficult to keep up with the material.
Do not take this class !!!!!! You are tested on 4 chapters at once. No study guide you are on your own. Her tests are ridiculous difficult. She does not give back exams which doesn't help. There is no extra credit to boost your grade. Pointless in class activities. She does not prepare you for what is on the exams! Take with someone else!
I took Prof Bagger for HROB 101 and it was a hybrid course. This course was extremely difficult. 3 Midterms and a Final exam. NO study guides and each exam is at least 4 chapters worth. The Final exam is comprehensive, 14 chapters worth of material. A few assignments but only worth 1 point each. Do nothing for your grade. Very difficult.
The hardest class I have taken in my 4 years. There is no guidance on what to study for the exam. Details that are never mentioned in class will show up on the exam. NO extra credit is given and there is no curve. I am a straight A student and struggled in this course. There is a unit exam exactly one week before the cumulative final. Don't take it
Really nice Professor, but exams are all mutliple choice format. There is no study guide provided at all. She is great person, but not so much as a Professor. Homework/class work is only worth a point. This is a very challenging class.
The homework is just time wasters. The lectures were useless since she only tests on the book. I stopped taking notes and only used the book to study. I only learned the material through reading the book, so I didn't need her as a teacher. The people in my class that struggled are the people that listened and studied the lectures.
I dont know about these previous comments but she's great teacher. I got the inexpensive online edition book; It was very helpful when studying for exams and the case studies were actually interesting. I would definitely take classes with her again, she's funny, knowledgeable and clearly cares about her students. Take her if you can!
Wow! best class and professor on campus. Super easy, direct, and not hard at all. A bit material which is just concepts that are easy to understand. TWO TESTS- midterm and final. no group project, no papers, no quizzes. TAKE HER NOW ASAP! Shes really nice and fun. SO much extra credit offered too.
I loved Dr. Bagger, she restored my faith in Sac State. She has a great sense of humor, cares about her students, grades fairly, and teaches effectively. The final was straightforward, no confusing/subjective questions. Read the book and youll do fine. Its an easy read and makes sense. I enjoyed the group project and working with non-profits.
Dr. Bagger is definitely one of the better professors at this school. She is inspiring and makes class interesting. Her final wasn't hard at all if you read the book and look at the slides. I wish I had her for my other classes.
She's amazing. Just take her. She is fair and her lectures are interesting and informative. Taking her for 2 classes this semester and they are my favorite classes.
Prof. Bagger is really nice and her lectures are very interesting. There was barely any homework, most of your grade is based off of 3 exams and the final. One group project but it wasnt that much work. She cares about her students success and is an awesome professor!
She is super energetic and lectures heavy but interesting. She wants all her students to succeed and give as much opportunity to earn points as possible. Easy grader but her exams are and tend to be very broad and text heavy with details and application. Loved the class, but be careful with the people you choose for group projects.
Great straightforward caring professor group project at end, same group you start with at the beginning of semester. 3exams 1final focused on lectures, PowerPoint and some book Gives random extra credit for class, so attend regularly Professor extends help with business resources outside of class and willing to help students succeed
100% would recommend Prof. Jessica! Usually Mondays are online and Wednesdays are in-class lectures where she goes over the materials needed for exams. Exams are multiple choice & true false; easy to get a good grade if you pay attention in class and study a bit. She's very energetic and has a lot of enthusiasm to get you through the class :)
Love Jessica!! I was so scared about her final and ended up only missing one question. Read the chapters and you should do fine on the final. Unlike other professors, her test questions make sense and there are no surprises. Her class is interesting and she's the nicest person. She really cares about students and truly wants them to succeed.
Her class in all is easy, however her tests are worded extremely difficult and there's always two options that could be the best answer. She tries to confuse you and doesn't offer a study guide. What teachers don't offer study guides in 2019?! I feel like I'm not getting the grade I deserve due to her confusing test questions. Take someone else.
She teaches good. However, her tests are hard. Her PP slides do not help on the test. You have to study the textbook and memorize lots of details in order to pass the test. 3 midterm exams. drops the lowest. Final is comprehensive. Each HWk is 1 point only. Do not recommend.
Enthusiastic and is always trying to relate the material to our everyday lives. She is very nice but solid on what she expects from you from her syllabus. Tests are more straight forward & a bit tough. Read the book and her slides. She offers reverse study guides. I enjoyed this class and the discussions. Extra credit as well!
Her accent is the worst in the entire word. Her tests are hard. Her PP slides is of no help on the test. Final is stupidly comprehensive. take someone else. you will thank me later! it is fine.
This class was a hybrid, so only went half of the semester! 4 exams, and she drops the lowest that isn't the final. She is a great lecturer, and the material is pretty easy to follow if you're HROB.
Proffesor Bagger is a nice and caring professor. She lectures really good, but her tests are a bit hard and detailed, so read everything carefully. She provides reversed study guide, but it doesnt help much. Not at easy A, but pretty easy B.
Very firm on her grading criteria! Bagger is super energetic and will make you love HROB. Shes a funny danish lady and has that foreign energy. TAKE HER CLASS!
Don't know how she grades participation in class. Is it by quality of discussion or by # of times you raised your hands to blurt out something? Definitely thought it was not fair. If some students are not as extrovert like her, give them an opportunity to develop their skills.
I'm not sure what some people are complaining about, she's amazIng. I got out what I put in. A few extra credit opportunities, tests aren't easy- just brush up on the material. DROPS 2 HW and 1 exam! 10/10. HW is a real grade-saver too, she wants you to pass. I'm a 3.0 student, not an overachiever, and got a B+. Would LOVE to take her again.
Hybrid class- u meet once a week or sometimes we go 3 weeks without meeting. On those days, she posts her lecture videos online and you can print her powerpoints. Her exams were a bit hard for me even though I studied her power points because she puts true or false questions as well as multiple choice so you really need to understand the ideas.
Great professor but she has tough exams!
By far one of my favorite professors. Shes cares about her students and is always willing to help. 4 exams and homework assignments which are based of class lectures and readings. Exams are easy and are based off lectures and notes. I always attended class because she made lectures so interesting, even though attendance isnt mandatory.
Very down to earth and funny individual! She's passionate about the course and is very knowledgeable. The class consists of optional lectures, a few simple homework assignments, and four straightforward exams. Use powerpoints and notes to study, and you will pass!
One of the most kind and understanding professors Ive ever had. Shes so sweet but also very clear and concise, which is great. Deadlines are made clear and are expected to be met. Its not too hard to get an A as long as you do the class work.
Prof. Bagger adapted very well to online teaching. She really cares for the students and is very passionate. She's enthusiastic and hilarious as well! Class consisted of lectures with 2-5min breakout rooms to discuss prior points and 7 HW assignments, 3 exams, and a paper. Take her if you get a chance! She's awesome!
assignments (mc) + 3 midterms (mc) + 1 final exam (mc) all on flatworldknowledge (must pay to use). one of the easier business classes. prof is caring, super nice & always willing to help. all work goes back to the textbook so reading is a must! take this prof!!
8 assignments (MC) + 3 midterms (MC) + 1 final (MC) all on paid website, Flatworld. Asynchronous course, with all easy-to-follow lectures on Youtube. Textbook is also on website but I rarely used it to complete assignments. Take good notes on lectures and the class gets easier! Assignments are spaced out and material is clear and organized.
Sad excuse of a professor, let alone a woman. Don't take her
I took hybrid modality for this course but it may have well been asynchronous online. Going to class was pointless since it was all optional and all lectures were pre-recorded. The tests and homework were easy though so I can't really complain. It's all straight from the textbook, word for word basically.
A very sweet and caring professor! Her class is straightforward and tests are clear and connect with her lectures as well as the textbook. She has a great personality and I didn't stress at all in her class. Definitely recommend!
I wish she actually cared about teaching. She seems checked out from the University and busy with her other work and her own personal life.
This class is an easy A but you can tell she doesnt care about this job. Wont input grades, gives an equation for us to calculate them ourselves. Tone is condescending in emails. Lectures are less than once a month and only go over things we just read. Doesnt provide clarity on content. Unsure why shes here, doesnt seem like she enjoys teaching.
Hybrid course | All exams online (total of 4) | Prerecorded lectures | Hw Heaviness: 2/5; all on FlatWorld | Discussion posts (Weekly) | Professor & course is easy. Because of prerecorded lectures, you basically teach yourself & when you go to class, the class talks about the chapter. Classes Email replies are a bit slow. Overall rating: 2.5/5
I like Jessica. Very easy-going and energetic, also very nice and cares about students' health and well-being. She is slow at getting grades back and replying to emails but she grades fairly. Multiple discussion boards but only some are mandatory. Good amount of assignments/ 3 exams/ 1 final exam - all were easy. You can't fail this class.
She's okay. assignments arent posted to calendar so you have to check and make sure ur not missing any deadlines. assignments through flatworld where the textbook is. same for exams. weekly discussions that are sometimes optional. takes attendance but was hybrid so class was only every other tuesday. easy A class but just kinda annoying teaching
This class is possibly the easiest brain-off type of class I've ever taken. The problem comes from her lack of communication through Canvas or email. She will not tell you when something is due you just have to figure it out and watch the schedule incase she decides to change it suddenly. If you miss an assignment, good luck, no excuses accepted.
Very easy class and all assignments were done on FlatWorld, not on Canvas. Throughout the semester, Bagger was completely inaccessible outside of class and never responded to any emails. She obviously doesn't care about the success of her students, nor does she respect her students' time. Unfortunate that she is the only professor for HROB 152.
If u need to take this class theres nothing to worry about. All hw/exams are taken at home and theres no way you can fail. She's amazing during lectures and has good feedbacks n tries to make her students feel welcomed, but when class is over she ghosts you & cant reach her. Beware her grading can questionable.
Class was very easy, almost like an online course. Exams were straightforward, but beware of surprise assignments not listed in the syllabus or schedule. Missing one can drastically affect your grade—I had a 99% and dropped to a 92% because of a surprise assignment I missed. Stay on top of announcements and double-check everything!
She creates an engaging and interactive classroom environment, making management skills practical and relevant. She's accessible via email but expects us to check the syllabus first—encouraging responsibility. A great course for anyone wanting to learning how to be a better manager.
I missed an exam by accident and tried multiple times to find a workaround she could help me with, but she didn't care. She would rather follow the codes of the "syllabus" than learn the material.
Professor Bagger is thoughtful, personable, and knowledgeable. She has a lot of real world experience in business that brings a lot of depth and meaningful conversation to her lectures. Her grading is very straight forward and makes sense for busy students to learn well without unnecessary stressors. I would happily take one of her classes again.
She ghosts her students, b
Make sure you check FlatWorld for due dates besides Canvas!!!! Prof. Bagger will teach hybrid. Classes Tues &Thursdays only. Check FlatWorld for due dates besides Canvas. The course is flexible, with recorded lectures available. All assignments are open book, and the final exam is cumulative
This professor is excellent at leading discussions. She has a great way of engaging the class while folding in real life business knowledge and connecting concepts from the textbook to our lives and experiences so they're easy to understand and remember. I hope to take another class from her!
Class was relatively easy, only got a B because I missed homework since it isn't a direct assignment on Canvas, so just don't forget to check the FWK platform. Also missed a lot of the semester so attendance is not mandatory, it mostly consisted of participation and talking about the chapters. Also was a hybrid class.
This class was a relatively easy class. It was hybrid so we only met once a week and spent class time having discussions regarding the reading. There are quizzes and a couple exams (all online). Overall, if you just read the material, you will do well. The only thing to be mindful of is that the homework, quizzes, and exams are on a separate website.
Hybrid HROB152 class is not required attendance, she is understanding if you chose not to come to her classes, just complete all work on time. Not many assignments and grading is 100 points so missing a few things will bring your grade down a bit. Super sweet teacher and her classes are pretty fun and informative. Exams are online outside class.
Took the hybrid class; attendance is taken but not graded. Really interesting class, but be prepared to be engaged and participate in class. Homework and exams are all online, and due dates are not posted on Canvas, so be sure to write them in on your own calendar.
Easy class. Attendance was mandatory for the first few weeks. Beware since the professor does not put homework/tests on canvas so you'll have to set reminders and due dates yourself.
