She is an amazing professor! She is so willing to help you out with whatever you need. She takes roll 4 times during the semester which counts for your grade. 1 oral report and 5 reading analysis. There is a lot of information with this class but she makes it so easy and fun to learn. I absolutely love this professor. A+ no problem.

Nice teacher, requires a lot. Tests are structured terribly, study guide lists 140+ "terms to know" and only 8 show up on the test. Gives 2 essays both extremely easy. Gives a list of over 40 ancient sculptures/paintings and again, 8 show up on test.

The class does require reading though, but not alot. her lectures are VERY well detailed which is great. 2 papers 1 midterm and a final. test are structured well and are very easy. good extra credit given during test. i would so take her again too! take her every chance you get. she's amazing! oh yeah and she is very attractive!

She is a great professor! Really kind and really nice. Her course consist of 1 midterm and a final, both are the same format. she has 2 essay papers and be prepared to take lots of notes! however her notes are very well presented, she knows her stuff and don't hesitate to ask because she loves to help.

I love this class! Very interesting. Prof Brooks is very organized and straightforward. She's extremely helpful as well. The class consists of a midterm, a final, and 2 essay papers (which are fairly easy). There's reading involved, but not too much. You'll survive with just her notes, which are very detailed and are pretty much all you need.

Jessica is an amazing teacher who loves the subject and cares about her students. She was very approachable and was willing to help out her students in anyway! For example, I lost my book mid-semester and she said she will get me a new one. Really interesting lecture and a lot of note taking. I would HIGHLY suggest taking her.

Prof. Brooks is as sweet as they come. Take notes with a laptop because there are a lot of them. Though she does not take attendance often, it is essential for course material. Never brought the books. Her notes are enough. On the study guide, she lists a lot of terms and slides. A word of advice: go to her review session the class before the Midterm/Final. All the slides she goes over during the review are on the exam, and she thoroughly discusses the study guide. I highly recommend her!

Mrs. Brooks is an amazing teacher. You can definately see how much she really cares about the subject and her students. The tests aren't too difficult just be in class for the review sessions because the study guides are overwhelming. She assigns 2 essays but gives an optional art project. She is also very understanding about absences.

A professor who genuinely enjoys what she teaches. She is very understanding and the coursework is incredibly small -- two papers, a midterm, and a final. The book isn't really necessary, as she tells you literally everything what's going to be on an upcoming test on the review day. She tells you what's important and what to highlight in the notes.

Brooks is an exceptional professor. You will write a million pages of notes, but she tries to make the class entertaining. Reading is minimal (attend class and you'll get the info). The two paper assignments are only 3 pages. Have no second thoughts about taking her. You'll have an easy, but not wasted, semester.

This was one of my favorite classes to attend. Her lectures can be long but she makes each topic interesting and entertaining. She also tries to end class early if she has the chance. Great choice for Greek Myth! Her lectures are AMAZING. Be sure to go to them, as they're pretty much the only way you'll get the information (slides aren't posted!). 2 exams, 2 papers (the 2nd paper you get the option of doing an art project). Brooks is AMAZING. For this class, there were weekly readings, some online and some in the textbook. However, you can totally pass without the book. Her lectures were informative so take notes on every meeting, and you will ace everything. There are 2 essays(with three options each), 2 midterms, and 1 personal writing. CWL161 was honestly one of my fav classes at CSULB because of Prof Brooks. Her lectures are interesting and she gets the entire class involved. She cares about her students and brings in cool artifacts for them to check out. The readings that she assigns are very interesting as well. Definitely recommend her class to knock out a GE requirement.

Her class is very lecture heavy but she does a GREAT job making sure that you're all interested. I loved her class so much that I'm taking her again next semester. She makes it a priority for her students to pass her class and she does A LOT to make sure you pass (review sessions, paper rewrites). TAKE HER!

A real good story teller, so that makes classes interesting to attend. Her papers you do are quite short, though you need the book (about 20 bucks) to cite. The midterms are also very straightforward, especially since she gives good study guides and will explicitly say when a subject well be on a test is during the midterm.

I didn't know anything about Greek Myth before entering this class. She makes sure that no one is lost and gives the best lectures out of the many professors I had in all my four years of college. Easy class for World Myth. Two essays, three quizzes from a novel you will get for the class, a midterm and a final. The only thing to do is just show up everyday because of notes from powerpoint. Overall, just take the class and you'll pass.

2 Essays, Meme/Reflection, and a Midterm. She is an amazing professor that cares about Greek Myth and you should take her if you have the chance. You need a textbook for the essay and study midterm questions, but could slide by w/o a textbook if you ask your classmates. She takes attendance randomly four times, but seems like it was more than that.

She has 2 tests (midterm and final), 2 essays, and a meme. An issue I had was that the study guides she would provide would end up being about 30 pages and the tests were a lot shorter than that. I felt that the study guides were too broad compared to the actual exams. She also does not upload grades to bb, so you have to keep track yourself.

BEST PROFESSOR OUT THERE. There are other amazing professors of course. Brooks is so funny, and her story telling includes bad language making it funny. If you take notes in a notebook, she gives you extra credit. Also instead of a Second essay she allows you to do an art project. SO LAID BACK I LOVE HER PERSONALITY. Takes attendance only 4 times.

Took her for World Mythology and she was superb. So much enthusiasm in her lectures, which made it intriguing. She assigned the book Ready Player One and we were given 3 (fairly easy) quizzes on it. There were 2 essays and then a short essay during the final. Copy down the notes on her slides because she does not post them online. Great professor!

This class was one of the easiest classes this semester. She records her lectures and posts them up after class along with her lecture slides, she makes sure to review the quiz questions before we take them (one a week just about, super easy don't sweat it). The activities weren't difficult, we had 3 for the semester. I didn't use the textbook.

Professor Jessica was by far my favorite this semester. In the beginning of the semester I really thought I was gonna get bored during her lectures since Im not a big history fan. But she made her lectures interesting and they really stuck to me. She doesnt give much assignments but gives small 5 question quizzes about the articles every week. ��

Great Professor! Show up and pay attention and the class will be an easy A!

Best professor by far! Very few exams only a midterm and final. Projects are very easy you can draw instead of writing an essay. She is by far the most caring instructor I have had this spring and her personality is so admired by all her students!

Literally one of my favorite teachers at lb. Made me passionate about the medical field again and patient care. I love how caring and passionate she was about her work. nothing about this class was boring and hearing her talk ablout the subjects was inspiring. there was lots to read though so beware! we read two books and lots of articles!

Professor Brooks is such a sweetheart! she is so nice and caring of her students..if you have any accommodations, concerns or questions she will help you, no problem.. definitely take her if possible, she is the best!!! Quizzes and study guides are straight from the PowerPoints in class. Really easy pass!!

She's a sweetheart and her lectures are amazing and detailed. Class consists of: 2 exams, 3 mini papers, quizzes (she gives answers after the lecture), and attendance (she takes attendance 3x during the whole sem). Taker her class! You won't regret it! Also, she responds to emails pretty fast. Just study for the exams and you're good.

We're graded on an intro post, 3 assignments, a short quiz each week, a midterm exam and a final exam. This was an amazing class and the lectures were so interesting! As long as you take notes you'll be more than fine!

Jessica was an incredible professor! I had her last semester and enjoyed her class. The quizzes are very easy, she allows corrections for assignments, and offers complete study guides for the finals. If you need to take this class, choose her.

This is my 3rd time taking Professor Brooks and honestly, I wish I can take her ever semester! The workload for her classes are light. There are quizzes, 3 easy activities, and a midterm and a final. She goes over the quizzes with you and there is a midterm and final review which are very helpful! I definitely recommend her. Best Professor ever!

I took her for the second time and she was still as amazing as ever! There were 2 activity writings, some quizzes (she gave the answers during class), and 2 exams (midterm and final). Each exam had 2 parts: Short Answer (taken in-person) and Multiple choice (taken online and it was open note). Also, she took attendance randomly. Take her!

She was such a great professor and I really learned a lot. She made the class fun, and one that I actually looked forwards.

(Took CWL 242 as well but was not included on the list for whatever reason) I've taken two classes with her and she's just amazing. Not only are her classes pretty easy you actually learn because she's so engaging when she speaks. She's obviously so passionate about the subjects she teaches and the way she lectures is always entertaining.

SHE IS AMAZING. Honestly, she is such a fun professor, just absolutely filled with energy. It's clear that she loves to teach out her subjects. She also teaches amazingly well, everything sticks and she explains everything in both her slides and through lectures. Assignments are easy if you pay attention and tests easier if you come to lectures.

This class was amazing, mainly because of Professor Brooks. She made the information interesting, and it's easy to tell that she is passionate about the subject. Both the midterm and final were split up into two sections: in-person free response, and online multiple choice section. Weekly quizzes and only three assignments due.

Very clear and organized and clearly is passionate about what she teaches. She is amazing, her class is easy and she gives you study guides that you review in class and are very test prepared!

I absolutely loved Professor Brooks! I went fine without reading the textbooks since her lectures were dense in material. She is absolutely amazing at lecturing! Absolutely hilarious! I love her so much, i'm taking her again!

Brooks is an amazing professor, she is extremely kind and very funny. Lectures were always so fun to attend and her story telling is very immersive and exciting!!! Took her twice, both classes were amazing, wish I could have taken more of her classes!!! Highly recommend taking her at least once!!!

Brooks is very caring and nice. She likes to make a lot of jokes in class as well. She gives you the quiz answers so make sure to attend class. The final and tests weren't bad if you do the reading and study as well. take her and you will pass.

Professor Brooks is very kind, super knowledgeable and really funny! Her lectures are really interesting as she is a great storyteller, and you cover so much ground. Assignments and tests are not stressful, and you can do artistic projects instead of essays. Highly recommend this class for ancient art history and Greek/Roman mythology enthusiasts.

Literally the sweetest Professor I've ever had! She's very caring about her students, and obviously cares that learning is more important than just memorizing. I cannot recommend her enough her lectures are always interesting and she is very passionate about her classes and students!

i loved prof brooks her class made my semester flexible she is caring and her class is super easy i would always look forward to going to her class. the course consists of wkly quizzes but she gives you the answers during lectures. u have papers that are 2-3 pages, rlly easy prompts makes lectures fun and interesting. She's my spirit animal I loved her class, needed to fill a ge and her class was so easy!! Hardly any hw and if there is it's not hard. Online quizzes every week (4-5qs and she gives answers) tests are not hard but u should study (multiple choice online but free response in class) Shes so passionate and her class is entertaining. Absolutely one of the best professors. She is so passionate and truly cares for her students. I would fr be excited to go to her class because her lectures and the content of course is so interesting. 3 writing assignments that are easy, multiple choice exams online, written response exams in person, but if you attend class it should be a breeze.

Her teaching style was very engaging and fun. Her notes are pretty condensed so if you want a better understanding of the material, you have to attended the lectures. However, they are worth going to. This class is an easy A if you just attend. 1 midterm and 1 final, both very easy. Homework isn't a problem either. Goated.

Great professor. the class is very easy and doesn't require much work. attendance isn't mandatory, but she will take attendance randomly a few times throughout the semester. Easy A class as long as you take good notes from her lectures. heavily recommend this professor for a low-stress and easy A class.

Professor Brooks is such a kind soul! This is my third time taking her (CSLC 101, CWL 132, R/ST242); each time has been wonderful! She has one midterm and final, both relatively easy if you ATTEND LECTURES!! Her 200-level classes require more writing, but they are not hard. She takes attendance 4x a semester. So don't skip too much!!

i could've gotten an A but i gave up the last few weeks lol. lectures from her were so passionate. 3 easy activities, 2 midterms that are in person for the written and online for mcq, super easy if you know the content. she's so funny and caring of her students. she took attendance at random. she makes greek myth memorable and easy to understand :)

To be honest, Professor B was among the best instructors I have ever had. She is caring and understanding. She is caring and understanding to her students, and it's clear that she enjoys what she does. Her class is interesting and sad to miss. (*if you have to miss class occasionally do not take it yet. Make sure to be able to come.*). 100/100

The best professor I've ever taken! She is hilarious and very sweet. Although attendance is not required, her approach to teaching this subject is so engaging that students WANT to go even if attendance isnt strict. I rarely leave reviews, but this is one of the best professors/teachers I've ever had. I typically like to learn by just sitting in on lectures and not taking notes, and this class was very easy to do so. Assignments are easy, 1 midterm+final (short ans in class / mcq at home), 10 easy quizzes.

Genuinely one of the best professors at CSULB. Take her if you can. She is super understanding and is more than willing to give extensions on assignments if needed.

Funniest teacher I've ever had. Her lectures are interesting and engaging, the writing projects are simple, and the quizzes and tests are easy. She even gives out quiz and test answers ahead of time, along with study guides for the two main exams. She's super funny, respectful, and sometimes offers extra credit just for showing up.

Recommend Professor Brooks for CWL 132. She's very passionate about what she teaches and makes the lectures fun. The class consists of quizzes, 2 activities, 1 midterm and the final. She always gives the quiz answers during lecture and does a review before the midterm and final.
