She is a great teacher, she tells you what is on the test. If you show up to class and pay attention you'll get an A. She is interesting too, she relates bio to current events. She is also very down to earth.

She was just an awesome teacher. She knew exactly what she was talking about. The tests were a piece of cake because she told you everything that was going to be on them. The class was simple, so make sure you take it.

Very easy class. Just have to focus on what she's saying instead of goofing off. She gives all the answers to the test and essays ahead of time, you just have to pay attention enough to catch it. Would suggest this class.

Very interesting, awesome teacher. She keeps things interesting and she gives you help if you need it. Basically givees you all the answers to the tests before hand and lots of opportunites for extra credit.

She is very easy. She tells you everything that will be on the tests and then also gives you the answers, just make sure you are listening. She makes sure everyone unsderstands what she is talking about before she moves on.

Marine Biology was a fun class 4 we got to go on many diff trips and got an salt tank in our class and just went with the flow type of class. Lots of oppertunity for extra credit and test are easy as long as you have all the notes for the test and have some idea of the subject so you must pay attention in class and you will do excellent. definitely one of the best teachers that i've ever had. she is very interesting to listen to and makes biology very understandable. she's very easy going, and she gives you opportunity for extra credi.i thought she was very interesting, helpful,and funny. i did not mind going to her class at all. TAKE HER!

DeGraf is a cool teacher, but too casual. Give extra credit work, study notes & powerpoints for test. You will learn alot and not to eat bagged lettuce EVER AGAIN!

Her test are easy so I don't know why people are bashing her. Other teachers I talked to say she was good a.k.a my advisor. She is also up to date with all the latest science news and keeps you interested. If anyone had a question she would slow down and take time to answer it, especially during our labs.

she's straight up awesome! very intelligent, knows exactly what she'd talking about. she never tells anyone their answer is wrong, she finds a way to make their thought right. best professor at gcc!

This class (Marine Biology) is almost too easy. The workload is about average, but Professor Degraff makes everything easy on you with group work, open book tests, etc. Unless you're an awful student, you'll learn AND get a A or B with ease.

SHe's a great teacher and I'd take her again if I could. Wish I took her for bio 1 because she makes class fun and interesting. She's more interested in you understanding what you're doing than piling the work on you and she's very easy with her grading. Got a A no problem at all.

DeGraff is wonderful! She really helps you understand the material and if you need help she will be there for you. Labs are graded on whether you've done them or not, not how well you answered the questions. Some of her classes are online, and she doesn't really care how late they are submitted. Take her class!!

Marine bio. is an incredible class! Prof. DeGraff is so nice, fun, and knowledgeable. Labs are conducted in groups, graded for completion, and consist of trips to the Jersey Shore and Camden Aquarium... very educational and fun! Be sure to attend class and class trips, as labs & tests are derived from the trips and lectures. Highly recommended!!!

Marine Bio class was fun and educational. Do not take if you cannot go on most of the field trips. The tests and labs are based on them. Overall a great class!

She is a very fair woman. Her teaching method is really easy to pick up. You do take alot of notes however they are all extremly helpful. it does not matter if you like marine bio or not she does her best at helping everyone. She is very down to earth, and really good looking so this class goes by fast.

Dr DeGraff was an amazing teacher. Very understanding and willing to help her students. She give extra credit and also gives the answers to her exams ahead of time. HIGHLY recomend! She'd energetic and enthisiastic. Looked forward to going to class. Makes subject understandable

Great class, not easy, but not toooooo tasking either. Just put the effort in and you'll do fine. Take notes, do the assignments and study for the tests.

she was really cool about cell phones and being late if you have to! and was really cool, she lets you have a cheat sheet for your final and gives extra credit. theres no way you could fail her classs. i would recommend her to everyone for bio! def the best teacher at gcc!

Degraff is an awesome teacher!! i was really nervous about taking micro, but she is very helpful with everything..i wouldnt miss any of her lectures or labs though bc they help out a lot with tests..shes very good with going over everything and gives out extra credit! i definitely would take her again if she taught any other classes!

Very fair teacher. not the easiest class but if you study and put in the time you will get the grade you want. She goes pretty fast but is clear about what she wants you to know on your exams, which are pretty difficult. overall, i would recommend.

She is a great teacher. She uses powerpoints along with her own notes. Test aren't bad if you pay attention and study. She goes over the test the day before and right before the test starts. She is a really cool teacher and knows what she is talking about. A great teacher to take.

Very good teacher, involved in the class and the material. Best of all, she is extremely good-looking and very easy on the eyes. If you lose focus, its probably only because her beauty was too distracting.

I took her for marine bio and every guy thinks shes the hottest thing ever. Shes really pretty and has a love for marino bio. Shes a cool surfer chick. all the tests are open book, open notes. She plans a ton of trips though and you have to drive and pay for yourself. The class was pretty fun though and easy. Just trips were annoying.

Took her for Bio 102 and Marine Bio. Bio 102 had really hard tests, but if you do the work and get all your points, you should still get a good grade. Lots of memorization, but helpful power points. The labs are fun and she helps if you get stuck. Marine Bio was a lot easier and a lot of fun with all the trips! Super smart professor.

Really good teacher. She's very clear about her notes. The tests are a little hard. I had marine bio and there were field trips. Some were fun, some were a pain. She let me make up assignments I missed online. Overall, I really recommend her! One of the best teachers I've had!

I had an accelerated micro bio class with Dr. DeGraff. She tells you the first day that she wants you to succeed and she gives you all the tools to do so. If you listen to her lectures and spend the time to study, you will earn a good grade. I can't wait to take wetland ecology with her!

Dr.Degraff is a very intelligent woman, good teacher and want you to want to do well. So study. The material is challenging but she give you the tools needed to put it together. You must be able to think about the information provided and study and you will do well!

She looks incredible and on top of that she's very smart. When she goes on her rants you learn the most ridiculous factual information about the world that you couldn't imagine. The only thing that sucked about her was, she can't construct an exam. You have three exams. The second one is over 200 questions. They were ridiculously hard.

I took the hybrid style class. The lectures were done online on your own time, class time was left for labs. Very well run and I learned a lot! 4 tests (no final), a few quizzes each week, simple project and easy to follow labs. A really great class and I would recommend her!

She is really laid back! Show up to class do your labs and bring in articles for extra credit. She tells you what's on the test in her camtasias. If you don't do well it's probably because you didn't put in the effort. She's an awesome teacher.

This professor is excellent. She makes Microbiology very interesting. She really knows her stuff. I took her as web enhanced hybrid and I enjoyed the class. I never even used the book. Her online lectures were on point. This is an easy class if you're willing to put in time. It's best to be in class every day!!

Dr. DeGraff is a wonderful teacher, really knows her stuff. Don't expect to show up and get an easy A. You have to study and listen, but she will go over something until she's blue in the face, as long as you understand it. Definitely worth taking her as a teacher.

Prof Degraff is a great professor, I took the hybrid 5 week summer course, it's lot of work but if you do the online quizzes and listen to the Camtasias, you will do fine, don't purchase book. She also gives extra credit which is a plus. She makes learning micro interesting by relating to things happening in our world today. Definitely recommend!

After receiving a C in BIO 1, I was afraid of what BIO 2 would have in store. I got an A in this class and even became a biology major because this professor is interesting to listen to and helps students help themselves to a good grade. She gives out a lot of extra credit and always answers your questions.

Great teacher! Listen to the lectures, she will go over the main points to know for the exam. She makes all of her expectations very clear at the beginning of the semester, gives extra credit (and she wants everyone to take advantage of it). Made the course very interesting, applicable, and engaging. TAKE HER CLASS!!

She is a incredible teacher. She does make you work for your grade but it isn't as bad as you would think. She is incredibly passionate about whatever she talks about and has plenty of knowledge on her subjects. She cares about everyone individually and will help any way she can. Do NOT be a slacker bec you will miss out on a wonderful teacher

Very smart she knows science,therefore she's able to explain it in laymen terms. 4 test, labs are easy, ppt project, quizzes are easy. Only laziness can make this class difficult. Listen to the camtasias and you'll pass everything she gives. hybrid summer course, no hw, no fluff. She's humorous also.

Professor DeGraff was an awesome professor. I took the hybrid class so her lectures were online. I wouldn't buy or even rent the textbook because all the information is in her lectures. She gives a lot of extra credit. She explains things very clearly, in an organized manner. Highly recommend!

Dr. DeGraff is awesome! Great professor and great sense of humor. She made microbiology really interesting and I looked forward to class. Online lectures required an adjustment, but it ended up being really helpful because you can rewindreplay them as much as you need to, which is something you can't do in a traditional classroom setting.

I loved having Mrs. DeGraff and would take her again if I had the chance. My class was a hybrid so a lot of the learning we did on our own time. She did provide us with video lectures through Camtasia and I found them extremely clear and helpful. Show up, listen to the lectures, ask questions and you'll be fine!

Professor Degraff was an overall nice and helpful teacher. I took Microbio hybrid class and it is pretty tough. But, if you watch the online lectures, participate and show up to lab you should pass no problem! She is understanding and works with you if you are having trouble. I recommend taking her for Microbiology!

Dr. Degraff is as enthusiastic as it gets. I found at school when she reviews for tests she is the most entertaining. She doesn't hold back her opinions on anything but is very knowledgeable so I respect them. She makes taking micro enjoyable, she also cares about her students. Her only goal no matter what grade you get is to inform you !!!

The first day of class her and I had an in depth conversation about the impact professors can have on the lives of students. We disagreed she said the responsibility is on the students and the parents. Luckily, her actions speak louder than her words her teaching did the talking even if she may never agree with me. She sure taught like she did .

Dr. DeGraff is an excellent professor. She is very knowledgeable on the topics that she teaches, and her lectures are very easy to understand. As long as you attend class and watch her online lectures, this class should be an easy 4 credit "A". I would certainly recommend taking this professor.

Degraff makes the content interesting and a lot easier to understand than if you just read the book. The only difficult aspect about this class are the exams. If you don't study for them, you will struggle.

The tests are really tough. A bunch of short answers and multiple choice. The labs are really easy and she gives you a 100% just for doing them.

I took her for a 5 week micro course. The labs were the most annoying part of this class for me personally, but you get credit just for participating and doing them. Her tests could be pretty tough but she always lets you know on the camtasias what you need to know. I ended up getting an A, but seriously take advantage of the extra credit

Had her for Marine Bio, which I honestly could care less about sorry, cuz my friends wanted her. Easy class, we had open book for midterm and final, probably cuz 95% of the class had no idea what was going on even though lots of th m were bio majors.

She is by far the best professor I have had! :)Funny, caring, quick to respond to emails, very helpful, and actually cares about you passing the class. Camtasia's are long (1-hour each) but she gives helpful hints during them (short-answer questions). Don't skip labs, there too easy with a 100 no matter if its all correct. Quizzes aren't too bad.

Prof. Degraff is a very funny teacher who makes bio so interesting! Her rant stories are hilarious and I actually learned a lot of fun facts about bio. definitely go over the powerpoint and take notes before class. The tests are pretty hard and tricky, but the 'quizzes' and labs should be easy A's!

I took Professor Degraff's hybrid and LOVED it! She has a great personality and is very opinionated but it's hilarious and makes the class time pass very quickly. Truly a gem. RCGC is lucky to have her! She writes her own lab manuals, she's hilarious and gives you ample oppurtunity for extra credit, she know's her stuff, make sure you AT LEAST known the basics of cell structure, she'll expect you to know what a ribosome does, outside of that you're good. Easily a 5.0 Rating.

Truly wonderful Professor. Kind, funny and gives feedback, cowrites her own Lab Manuels, will respond to emails, lab note questions or after class questions quickly, and concisely. . . She know's her stuff, no reason you should not pass with an A, she offers Cam-Tasias, which are video lectures which mention what you need to know for the test 10/10

Hybrid class - Attending labs are required for a grade. If you really study her video lectures you will do well. She also reviews the main points in class. She is honestly hilarious and caring, but you must be willing to put in a lot of study time. Listen to the lecture, take notes, then take the online quiz. For tests, study your notes and videos.

Great teacher! Very entertaining and actually holds your attention. She is super intelligent and knows a lot bio and current events. Her tests arent easy but she gives a good review and tells you what you need to know. Gives extra credit for current event articles. Learned a lot and can relate it to real life.

Overall, really great Professor, but definitely have to put time into studying and getting really familiar with material. Doesn't give you a study guide for tests, but does go over what will be on it in class. All quizes were online (15 quest. max) only 4 tests (in class-50 quest) and no final. Do have to give a presentation, but it's very easy.

Loved her! Had her for bio 102 and micro and she was great! Attendance isnt mandatory but if you miss her lectures youll miss a lot of info. Tells you what to expect on the exams and gives extra credit questions on exams. You can also bring in two current event articles for extra credit.

She was a great professor to take, online was just a little rough only because we weren't in person. Our tests were timed we little time to take tests so if you are one of those people who take tests slow make sure you watch the time! overall great!

Microbiology seemed intimidating to sign up for, but as the course went on, I got to learn more about this subject. The professor was helpful, but personally it was a little hard to follow online with the labs.

Great course and very responsive when it comes to emails. Easy lab grader!!! I wish we had more explanation on the labs like in a personal video by her and not just trying to figure out what to do. I would definitely take it again

Online class. Weekly assignments consist of lecture, quiz and lab. There are 4 tests. Quizzes and tests are timed. Labs are interesting but can be tough, she is an easy lab grader just put in the effort. Must listen to lectures, she tells you what will be on test. She gives study guide but honestly the way she words the questions, makes test hard.

Professor DeGraff was very helpful if you had a question online. If you take the time to watch the lectures, which is how an online class works, you'll be fine 99% of the time. There were a few questions on the quizzes/tests I would be confused about every now and then, but overall I had a great experience with Professor DeGraff for microbiology

Professor DeGraff's BIO215 is challenging, but the lectures and labs are worthwhile if you stay engaged. The tests can be tricky, but using resources like Unstuck study alongside the textbook helped me prepare. Overall, a rewarding experience.
