Really funny and a fair grader. Really understanding with late work and incomplete assignments. A little scatter brained, but is a really fun class to be in. Only 4 essays which she helps you with anything you need. Rarely any homework

I definitely would prefer a tougher learning environment- after all, this is college not elementary school. She's gotta be one of the best teachers at moorpark.. i loved her class and would take her again if given the chance, she's fair with grading and has neat activities that'll just make u want to come to class.. her classes are laid back and sometimes even make lil trips on campus to get out the of classroom and enjoy the breeze

Ms. Hasson is an upbeat, happy, and friendly teacher. She has a way of giving little homework assignments that don't make sense and incorporating it into an assignment. Before you know it, you have learned how to do something you didn't know before. You work, you learn, and it flows easy. I highly recommend her.

I hate taking English but it is required so I took it with Ms. Hasson and the class was a blast just come to class everyday do what she asks and you will get a pretty good grade. Almost no homework and when there is its very easy, Plus she lets you turn in essays after she grades them so you can improve your grade.

Such a wonderfull person to be around, a wonderfull teacher and is very easy to talk to. I missed a few classes because of paintball tournys and undrestood my circumstances. Class is not very easy but she makes her class fun!

Took the class online, so professor/student interaction is minimal. Seems like a bit of a space cadet. Coursework was generally easy, but somewhat time consuming. Course was easy to follow. Didn't actually learn anything.

She does an online class which was pretty easy, She seems to have a real hard time grading though, It took her all semester to post up the first months grades. She seemed sweet but you never actully meet her. If you are grade oriented and like to know how you are doing this class would not be the one to take. She took forever to get her grades in!

Her online class ROCKS! The assignments are so fun and interesting! I am learning a lot! If you have a question or a concern, she has an ongoing discussion that she answers quickly.

GREAT ONLINE CLASS!!!!If you are a creative person, you will like her class. She always gets back to me when I have a question. I email her all the time. We got our essay grades the same week we turned them in. Oh and I loved the book she has us read!

Finally a professor that actually cares!!! She has been attentive and helpful throughout the online course. The online material is useful and interesting and easy to follow. I hear her course is really AWESOME on campus so I kind of wish I took her on campus course.

Took her online class. She is very helpful, there are only 4 essays and weekly discussions. only textbook was "The Illustrated Man," by Ray Bradbury. however you only needed to of read a minimum of 2 chapters. Only 1 essay had anything to do with the book. I would highly recommend taking this class

It is a very unconventional class with lots of personality . The professor is friendly, loud, helpful, and good looking. The class material is tough and you can only get a chance of an A if you actually bust your butt in this class. The debates can be intense but aren't as tough as the papers. I think that you will get your $'s worth

She is the best English professor I've had! Her class isn't an Easy A, but very obtainable if you put effort into it. Ms. Hasson is very passionate and vocal about her work. She notices the detail and the errors in your writing and make tons of comments. She can be challenging, but fair. Open to suggestions and offers xtra credit if you ask.

Alright, she can be a little out there sometimes, but she finds so many creative ways to link the lesson in with fun activities. She's helpful and always keeps class interesting. Had assignments like "analyze street art then create your own" and "write slam poetry". Have to keep a blog - it's 33% of your class grade. NO BOOK! Overall, fun.

A lot of people on here say "OMG best professor ever" but Ms. Hasson REALLY is the best teacher at MC. She was so much more than just a great writing teacher. Hasson is by far the BEST professor I have EVER had! Her passion for life, shows in the classroom. She is always thinking out of the box, so there is never a boring assignment or class. Attendance is not mandatory but she gives you extra credit in the end if you've only missed two classes! She is one of the best teachers I have ever had! Best teacher! Requires all work to be done but isn't a hard grader. She is hands on and makes class fun. Doesn't lecture too much and most work is done in groups. If you do all the work its an easy A. She's also funny and really opens up your mind and allows you to feel heard.

Only wrote 2 essays the whole semester. Just make sure you save everything because you have to bind it together at the end and that's your final.

SHE CARES. Hasson cares about her students. She is very energetic and teaches in a very unique, active way. Expect to be outside for class at least 3 times. Prof. Hasson is so great, she is such a free spirit. Many of our classes were held outside and it was very refreshing. There are 1 or 2 papers, but nothing crazy. The class was very fun and I consider myself lucky to have taken a class with her.

If you attend Moorpark College and don't take an English class taught by Professor Hasson in that time, there is something wrong with you. Amazing personality, bubbling energy, weird, quirky, all in all just a wonderful human being who teaches you the beauty of many things and calls it English class. Would take a million times over again.

Professor Hasson is the greatest teacher I took her for both of my English classes and am if she taught more I would take her again. Her class is extremely interactive and you will know everyone by the end of the class instead of listening to a lecture. She is extremely caring and doesn't like failing students. Also she doesn't believe in tests.

Professor Hasson was a great professor. This class is very interactive & is not your basic lecture reading/write class. You learn more about yourself and learn real-life stuff going on in the world. I am so glad I took this class. The class was hybrid so her assignments were online and simple. You write a novel about the themes any way you want.

Professor Hasson is exhausting. She's super fun, upbeat, unconventional and that's why it's hard to keep up with her sometimes. Her hybrid class was occasionally difficult & I missed a few modules cause they were tedious & demanding. She's a super cool person and loves to teach! You create your own textbook (for the final). Live Slam week was cool.

In my 19 years alive I have never had nor do I believe I will have a better teacher than Professor Hasson. She is the most caring kind person you will ever meet, as well as, one of the greatest teachers. She hates failing students and will work with students in order to help them at least pass if not get an A or B. I advise all to take her class.

Doesn't grade anything until after the class is over, no way to gauge your progress. Doesn't teach English, no textbook, it's a psych class. I used 3 pages of my notebook total throughout the semester. The essays she gives are easy. 100%.

Even though it's 40% English and 60% Psychology you'd be really stupid to not take a class from Prof. Hasson. I took her for the 8 week summer semester and her workload is manageable. Prof. Hasson is pretty kick-ass and her teaching style is very unique. I'm bummed that it ended so quickly because she's honestly THE BEST professor I've ever had.

Probably one of the best teachers I have ever had. She has insurmountable amount of energy and very fair when it comes to grading. There are a good amount of assignments because of accelerated course but manageable. Just stay on top of the material and show up. Don't be a distraction or she will throw you out of class.

If you're not a morning person or willing to talk to classmates and get up from your seat during class to do activities or presentations I would NOT take her.

It's been over 10 years since I have had a Class with Mrs. Hasson. I attribute a huge amount of inspiration from her that caused me to realize I have so much more potential in life. With her guidance I went on to transfer to a University, study abroad, and expand my mind further than I ever have before. For that I am eternally grateful.

I love Professor Hasson. I took her for ENGLISH MO1A and MO1C in Moorpark 2013-2014 school year. She reminds me so much of Erin Gruwell from Freedom Writers and she was so kind and inspirational. Overall, if you enjoy writing, it's a straightforward course that is not overwhelming. The assignments are spaced out reasonably. Two major essays to be written, along with several discussions and annotations of articles or documents. Professor takes the time to actually read and comment on the submitted work. Overall - Great class and structure.

Amazing and caring professor! She sets up her class so you can transform through your own writing. If you miss an assignment, she will let you make it up if you ask her. The course assignments are practical and useful. They made me learn more about the way I think.

I took this course in 2022 and I enjoyed the class. I was only graded based on a few essays and a slide presentation project. This was probably due to the course being a PACE course, but I still found it relatively easy. Will allow late work if you talk to her.

I took the PACE class and there weren't too many assignments and they were all spaced out with plenty of time to complete. Three major assignments/essays at the end of each unit. Super down to earth teacher and incredibly nice, taking this class felt like a break from other classes and was not very stressful.

Professor Hasson is a great personality with a positive and funny vibe. The class workload was manageable, though she sometimes struggled with organization. I found Unstuckstudy helpful for essay prep. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Took this class online, it was 8 weeks long. Coursework was very doable, not that hard. The only thing about her is that she is a very hard grader. She is allergic to giving full points on any assignment no matter how good it is. Three 5-7 page essays, 1-2 weekly assignments. Easy pass, not so easy A, average grade on assignments are between 85-90%

Took M01 as part of PACE program. Sensible workload, interesting assignments, fair grader. Very approachable, will take her again for M02.
