I took Prof Slisher for a three hour 8 am and she managed to keep me awake and make time fly. She is super kind and breaks the material down easy. It really was basically a study hall for Bio lecture. Show up, do your labs, and her tests will be a breeze.

Professor Slisher is super laid back and cool. She breaks everything down for you and makes this class 100% do-able. Attendance is mandatory because you can't make up the labs, but the labs are easy and she helps the whole time. As long as you do the labs and study them, the tests will be an easy A.

Professor Slisher is very clear with what she expects from you. All the exams directly relate to the labs you do in class and the prelab quizzes are easy. Make sure you come to class and study the labs to do well. Easy A. She is also pretty laid back, knows her stuff, and tries to make the class fun. I would take her again.

All you have to do to pass is do the prelab quizzes online which are easy, print out the lab, show up to class and do the lab. All her exams are based on the labs. Show up, you pass, if you skip, have fun trying to catch up. She is fun and plays music during labs. She explains all labs clearly. I would recommend her if you need to take Bio Lab.

She cares very much about you understanding the material; likes when you ask questions. This class is NOT hard. If you show up and do the labs you should pass. It does require some studying but she does give you a review before the test. Overall, a very good professor who cares and very easy class.

Prof. Slisher is an amazing lecturer! She specifically tells you what's on the test & is very helpful if you miss a class. Attendance is a grade so I'd come to class it'll bring your grade down by 5-6%. Tests aren't hard as long as you study. Make sure to go to all labs. She usually lets you out 30 minutes early so it's not bad. Highly recommend.

Professor Slisher has to be one of my favorite professors that I've had in this institution. She is very concise in her lectures, making everything easy for you to understand and grasp the concepts. Her lectures are pretty entertaining as well. A simple and fair grader. If you attend to skip class a lot then most likely you will not pass.

She is very helpful and is very knowledgeable on the subject. She makes sure that you fully understand what you are doing and why you are doing it. If you go to class and particpate in the labs and make sure you fully understand them then you will be fine on the tests. I love her!

Taking her for my biology lab has been a great experience, but be prepared to work together with your classmates for the labs. The tests are somewhat challenging but easy if you review the slides and take some minor notes during the actual labs. Fantastic teacher, very helpful.

There's an online Prelab you do before class and then a group lab in class. Pretty easy structure, and she goes over the exams the week before. 10/10

Great teacher! I recommend taking her if you plan on passing this course. No problems with her what so ever. Having her in the lab means you do need to show up to class in order to have credit but each class she makes super easy to understand with notes that help you pass her test which she gives after every 3 labs.

Professor Slisher is a great teacher and very consistent! Every day we start off doing the same things, she plays a song that goes along with the lab were doing and then goes on to teach a lesson tying into the lab, and then finally explaining the lab before she lets us preform it. Labs are easy- very easy to get an A in her class.

This professor is awesome! You must attend class because your exams are based on the labs. She goes over the labs clearly with you so no questions are really too surprising. Though she is not always very clea with her labs so sometimes it take you a few minutes to get everything set up. Make sure you sit next to people that will put the work in.

Super hard tests, and the mcgraw hill is annoying but the professor is clear on what she wants from you and leaves no room for questions.

Online class, not much interaction with the professor. All labs are online through a program that you buy an access code to. Make sure you give yourself enough time to complete your weekly labs, since there are multiple steps and they must all be recorded. Pay attention and review your notes for each lab, since that is what the quiz is on.

Biology was my first science class and I took this online through Dual Enrollment. The class was that hard but you need to be willing to read and study for tests. She provides a lot of extra worksheets and activities that other professors dont provide but it honestly helps you memorize the material more. I learned a great deal from this class!

Professor Slisher is very nice and helpful. The pre-test reviews are the questions from the test so if you pay attention during the pre-test reviews you will pass. Tests are 70% of your grade so take tests seriously and you will pass easily.

Professor Slisher was very helpful and thoughtful! She approved an override for me to enter her BSC 1010 class after it was full. I had previously taken BSC 1010 and did not pass, but after being able to enter it again and retake it, I am currently so close to an A! That will tremendously help my GPA.

The class online was pretty easy. The labs are through labster, which is an easy simulation, where you click through the tasks and answers some questions throughout (which is how you get your points for the class). There are also discussions, that you get the points just for saying how you felt about the lab. Easy class.

I took her for lecture and lab online. Great professor. For the labs we used labster, which was super nice. You can redo the labs as many times as you would like to increase your grade. Sometimes the labs are definitely hard, but since you can repeat the labs, it is pretty simple to get a good grade.

Very nice teacher, when our lobster was not working she gave plenty of time for students to make them up. Do not be afraid to ask questions she will answer them and help you. We would do discussions where it was a big chat group, students can ask questions and if other students can answer them. She cares about what you say and will help you.

Professor Slisher uses a site called Labster for her online bio labs, and it makes doing the labs fun and sometimes easier to understand. Pretty easy class.

I took Prof Slisher for Bio 1010 and Bio 1010L online and I loved both of them! She has a very clear, laid out grading criteria and is always happy to help if you need it. You will need the access code for online textbook, as well as for the lab. Her assignments do not take long, and they are super helpful!

Professor Slisher is a great professor. She is very caring and wants her students to succeed. Her lectures are really helpful, along with her test reviews! Pay attention during those test reviews and take notes, she also lets you audio record her (as long as it's not shared/posted). The exams are just like the review.

At first, I was a little intimated about taking a lab online. However, this course helped. me just as much as a I had hoped it would. Whenever I had issues, Professor Slisher was easily accessible and helped out a lot.

The teacher is amazing and is very understanding. She does make the class feel like a very friendly environment with the discussions so its very easy to ask classmates or the teacher if you're confused about something. The older labs can be a bit hard to understand, but they're updating them and the new labs are much easier to understand.

So basically in this class you have a website that you do all the reading and homework assignments on with a few assignments and tests due on canvas. The work isn't hard at all, really easy to follow basic biology, you just have to do a reading and answering questions.

She provided immediate feedback when I needed help and always graded the assignments right away. It was helpful because I knew exactly what my grade was in the class- other professors have a tendancy of waiting until the last minute to upload and grade all the assignments. I would recommend her and take another one of her classes given the op.

I never leave ratings, but I had to for this course. This class was easy and fun. The professor responds quickly. This course is the lab portion, but we did it on Labster which made this course 100x more fun. There is not much you have to do for this course, besides the lab and discussions. I highly highly recommend!!

She s nice but can be a little passive agressive in emails when I asked about Labster. Each week there's an easy discussion post and 1-3 labs. MIdterm and final exam are proctored, however the final exam was almost 1 month earlier than my actual biology class. You can redo checkpoints in Labster for a good grade before it's submitted. Easy A!

Professor Slisher is amazing! She was the best professor I had during my time at FSW and I wouldnt be succeeding in my Biomedical Sciences major at UCF if it wasnt for her! She goes above and beyond to make sure everyone understands the material. Her PowerPoints are very helpful for exams and future biology courses. I cant recommend her enough!!

She recently took over an hour to help me prepare for my final and that really helped make the difference in my success. This course takes a lot of your time and in order for one to pass, read.. read.. READ. The chapters are a bit long, but quite interesting! The quizzes are very easy as long as you read parts of the chapters. *I took this course online and it was peachy, again- you can't slack. If you slack, you get behind in completing assignments.

I took Slisher for BSC1010 and BSC1010L. Labs were lengthy, but not hard. You can use the book on quizzes and the homework lets you check your answers before you submit. She is very accessible! She responds to emails quickly and helps you whenever! The workload sometimes takes a long time, but is not too bad. Overall, I would highly suggest her!

Dr. Slisher is nice. She does emphasize on not accepting late work. She’s understanding. I personally felt like it was a learn on you own type of situation. I’m bad a taking notes so not having a study guide was a struggle. She does provide other resources to understand the material Take good notes and study. go to office hours if you need help

She's okay, lots of work each week, about 2 labs and 3 other homework assignments. 2 proctored test, overall easy but she weighs the midterm and final so heavy.

Labs are pretty easy if you're having trouble of them most of them have YouTube videos or Quizlets of the Labs. Tests/Quizzes aren't proctored besides Midterm and Final. You can tell she really wants you to pass.

It was an online course, there are due dates, but we were able to work at our own pace, just had to keep up with those dates, I liked that, I was able to juggle all of my courses with this flexibility.

Everything is viewable prior to due dates, allowing for you to plan on advance for when you have time to complete the work. Flexible schedule friendly. Not a heavy work load.

I believe this professor is a great choice for Biology. Personally, this class is quite difficult but I've been trying my best, and the assignments help. As to other professors, Slisher is the best at FSW for Bio. This was an online class, so there isn't much she needs to do, but she does provide help if you reach out.

If you haven't taken biology in a while, I suggest doing biology in class. Online is a little difficult. The homework assignments given by Professor Slisher did assist a LOT with understanding the material!

I loved this class so much! I am not a biology person but Professor Slisher made it easier. We had discussions that allowed us to help each other with the work and she was very quick to respond to emails and give feedback. The textbook can be a lot of reading but if you get it done with your notes early then it is easy to understand.

I took a few years off from college to work and gain some general life experience, so I thought I'd be rusty returning to school at 26. Professor Slisher is a great teacher. Her lectures are very good and I understood most if not all of the Modules. She gives good demonstrations. Every week you have one module. You usually have 5 assignments for an online lab and then a discussion and reflect and report. Their are no quizzes but their are test. The test are long.

Professor Slisher was very sweet throughout the course and made sure we knew what we were doing each week! The online labs that were assigned were very beneficial to my learning and only took me about 30 minutes to an hour each week to do. They were also fun! Great professor and I would definitely take the class again.

She was a Nice professor however i feel like there were way to many assignments weekly. Her tests were also proctored and difficult.

Professor Slisher is a wonderful professor to take for General Biology 1. The modules provided are very helpful with different information for the various chapters. She sends out emails and announcements for her students at the beginning of each week. Overall, she is a very helpful person with a positive attitude.

The processor is really good at communicating and does everything to make sure that you don't get behind. Work isn't hard just some reading. Take notes to study for quizzes and exams. Doesn't allow note cards or textbooks for Proctor-U. Does weekly announcements which are very helpful to remember things but also motivate you.Grades quickly.

Don't take this online if Bio isn't a strong subject for you. That being said, Professor Slisher was always readily available to help and also met with me via Zoom to review exams. This is a class where have to put in the work to be successful. ProctorU was a little annoying and I wish there were more thorough study guides, but it's doable overall.

Overall, I learned a lot from this class and she is an amazing teacher. The only part of the class I did not like is that since it is online, everything is proctored through ProctorU. ProctorU makes you download a browser on your computer and only works on high functioning Windows. Keep that in mind if you are taking this course.

Professor Slisher is a fantastic teacher for this course. It is very easy to reach out to her and she responds almost immediately! There is a ton of material but as long as you study and take the time to learn it the course is not difficult.

Great teacher and gave me many resources to learn from. The labs were great for people who learn by doing the tasks at hand. The discussion posts were also very helpful as they recap the week and helped us reflect on all that we learned. In all id totally take this class again as it was easy to understand and learn.

Let me just say I would study for 4/5 hours before taking an exam and would still fail or average D's. Maybe that's just me but she would curve every exam a lot which is the only reason I got a B in the class. The homework/discussions were not that bad it was just the exams that were really difficult for me. ProctorU for exams :( but she is sweet!

I started this course super stressed from all the textbook readings and homework, but after meeting with Prof.Slisher I felt much more confident, she's super sweet and therapeutic, gives GREAT advice and I honestly felt like she was my therapist. Tests are scary but she relieves them w/ curves, it will be hard because it's bio so be determined!

Everything is pretty much based on the textbook, it can be a lot of reading and confusing but if you re-read it multiple times it will flow into your memory. I was struggling so much in the beginning of the semester but got an A in the end, the readings can actually be very interesting, if you need help reach out to prof.slisher, she's so sweet.

I took Professor Slisher online during the summer term for both her general biology lecture and lab. The assignment workload is average, but the in-semester exams are difficult. Professor Slisher is very accessible and will help you understand any concepts you struggle with. I would recommend her for any biology course you take at FSW.

Prof Slisher is amazing !!! I took biology with lab online. She is fast at responding to emails and clarifies any questions you have. She is an easy grader just make sure you do the work. You are also able to work ahead in her class. Tests are through proctorU multiple choice. She provides everything you need in order to be successful.

Professor Slisher's BCS1010 class can be challenging, but engaging. The exams are tricky, but curves help. Textbook readings are essential, and reaching out to the professor for guidance is worthwhile. Unstuckstudy AI proved a helpful study tool alongside other resources.

Taking this course with Professor Slisher was fun, easy, and understandable! I loved the professor and any need I had, she was there for me! During the hurricanes, she made sure I was okay and asked me if I needed anything. I would definitely have her again! Professor Slisher is an awesome professor!

This class was amazing! She was especially helpful during the hurricane! The tests can get a little specific, and so my advice is to study a a week in advance, but that's with mostly all science courses. She does curve exams so that's helpful, but not a replacement to do bad lol. Overall I wish she taught Bio 2 because I would 100% take her again!

I'd highly reccomended using her office hours, she's very kind! MAKE SURE you use the quizzes, and the practice questions&review given at the end of each chapter in the book to study. It's a LOT of work, try to get ahead during your first week (do 2 mods instead of 1,) and you'll have a better time than I did! Study guides in FSW lee bookshop.

Course is very test based and so if you don't do good on one test it will mess up your entire grade and wil be harder to bring your grade up. As long as you study you will be fine.

Prof. Slisher was good. Everything was on McGraw Hill and you had discussion posts once in a while but they were easy once sentence answers. The only thing is that she didn't give us any study guide material until we got to exam #4 and the final exam. However, if you email her, I'm sure she'll open them earlier. She responded to emails quickly.

I really enjoyed Professor Slisher's biology class. It was thorough and well though out. She really cares for her students and wants them to succeed. Proctor U is my only complaint. It is very unstable and I often found issues with it. Other than that, I recommend this class to anyone who is willing to study!

This class is extremely easy and well created. I really enjoyed it. The assignments were easy to understand and I now have a better understanding of Biology in the laboratory sense!

She's a good teacher, if taking it online doing your own studying is almost a must, and the kahoots before the tests don't go over very specific things so they should mainly be used as a guide to see what you should actually go and do your own studying. But over all she was a great teacher.

This was the lab for my biology class I took online, the labs where not hard to do or understand, they walk you through what you are supposed to do and over all not hard. However there is only a midterm and a final, so make sure you do good on them but she does scale them. Over all a great teacher.

Ms. Slisher is one of the kindest and most understanding teachers I have ever had. I took her class online, but I was overwhelmed as a recent hurricane destroyed my house. There were a lot of complications and I had to do lots of assignments last minute (not her fault), she was so flexible & helpful. She also provides lots of extra study material.

Assignments: clear and relevant You can do a week's work in 1-2 days. Study a few hours before proctored midterm and proctored final exam. Class is fun, I took on zoom once a week, hybrid. Attendance: mandatory but, again, I chose to do this. It kept me accountable more, in my opinion. Great professor, take the course, simple, and loved the class.

I really enjoyed Pro. Slisher's online Biology Lab course. She was so helpful and kind. Her exams were extremely tough however, she couldn't give you more study guides to help. An excellent online teacher, very understanding, and teaches well!

Anyone that would rate her less than a 5/5 did not put effort into her class. She was always ready to hop on zoom to help me, even went out of her way to invite me to extra study meetings. She did not have to do this but still took time out of her week to make sure I passed. I am so grateful for professor Slisher!

Having this class is really what you make it. It could be the worst experience or the best and for me I had fun even though the topics were challenging. She is AMAZING and even has lecture videos you can watch of her explaining the content. Since it is online most of the studying and doing the work is up to you, but she was really helpful.

Took class fully online. Zooms are optional, but all assignments, quizzes, and exams are due on Sundays. Fairly easy class as long as you complete the work. Usually, assignments consist of three McGraw-Hill assignments, an easy discussion, and sometimes a reflection report. Exams weigh your grade down the harshest, so STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!!!

no surprises exactly what an online class should be

Every week, there were about 2-3 labs (simulations on the textbook website) and an easy discussion. There's a proctored midterm and final (an external camera is required), and both are very easy. Slisher's regular Gen Bio tests are way harder. The class also ends about 3 weeks before the term for whatever reason. Slisher is very kind and helpful.

This was my easiest course this semester. There are two big tests (midterm and final) that are proctored, along with weekly lab assignments. There are weekly discussion posts, but the prompts are easy to understand. Professor Slisher is accessible outside of class and responds to emails efficiently.

Very nice professor! Most of her assignments were online labs with a prelab and post lab quizzes that were all five questions. The online labs were easy to do and very clear on everything that was spoken about in the videos she would post. She was very easy to talk to outside of class with her emails being quick and straight to the point!

Tests are aburdly difficult and ultra-specific; they're worth 60% of your grade too. It's very difficult to raise your grade after doing bad on a test. Don't take this class unless you have a good amount of preexisting bio knowledge. Four exams and a final, some were curved, some weren't. Professor is super nice and will do anything to help you.
