He is a good professor. He doesnt give alot of notes but his tests are easy if you study HARD enough. He doesn't give extra credits or make up exams, which i think is a motivation personally.But he knows his stuff, I would not recommed him but if you get him stick with him.

He is a very good professor. one of the few that actually has an M.D. degree. he has an accent but its not as bad as the others here say it is. if u study then youll be fine. he really knows his stuff its impressive. take me word for it, stick with him. youll learn alot. great teacher.

Unlike other bio profs at LAGCC, he leaves a lot of the textbook out but what he teaches in class you must know COMPLETELY. Limited extra credit, so take quizzes/tests seriously. Every hour in class means 4-5 hrs at home if you want an A because the material is that tough. Style is no-nonsense -- expect no sympathy or understanding.

agree with comment below. i like his teaching style because all quiz and exam questions are from his powerpoint. Literally must know everything on powerpoints to do well on quiz and exams. very difficult and work intensive class and lab. yes he is cut and dry professor but at least you dont have to read the textbook like other profs require

I love this professor the way he teaches. He is very smart. I do not care what they say about He is emotionless because I am paying for teaching not for a great smile. I got A in this class and he was so helpfully that mean his lectures clarify all that I read in the book. People with low grades write poor feedback because they are brainless.

He is a very kind professor if you get to know him. He might not seem as one, though. Anyhow, he cares about his students and explain students' questions until it is clear enough for the students. I will love to have him as my professor in scb204 .i am very happy that i had him this fall as my scb203 professor .if you study his power point and read book you will be fine.His test is not hard if u study his material.You have to study real hard coz this course itself is very hard. Wow I just have to comment on this because I read this before taking his class and well I have to say he is amazing professor. He knows what he is doing. He explains everything well. I took the class on spring section 1; 203 is a hard class, but Dr. Ordonez is a wonderful professor. He makes sure that the student learns;he answers all your questions.Makes everything very clear.He is a kind person and cares about the student and takes in consideration the student effort. He is an excellent proffesor. He makes sure you understand everything. He provides a lot of extra material in order to help students to learn and memorize those difficult topics. He is always nice when answering questions.

Dr. Ordonez isn't an easy professor at all! If you do well on the quizes and midterm exam you def have a great chance of passing!! The final exam was soo hard I felt like i was taking my MCATS he over did it! But overall hes a good professor, explains things, very helpful and straightforward!

Hardest class ever I studied everyday 3 hours a day and just couldn't pass he's extremely strict and his class is kinda boring so its hard to even keep focused....

prof. ordonez. best professor ever had. excellent way of teaching though he is strict with grades but do your best and you will be fine. he really like the students who participate and ask him question. he willing to help students. if u ask him he can even stay for another 20 or 15 minutes after class to explain anything that u missed in class. :)

Prof. Ordonez is the best professor i ever had. I was nervous to death before taking this class because this was my first time taking this class after my 10 grade(1997). but the way he explained things and his study guides for the exams was really helpful. If some students says he is not good it means they didn't study good. I loved him.

He was generous with extra credit points. His quizzes and exams were super easy (for the most part). He was very knowledgeable and patient with the students.

Professor Ordonez is indeed a great professor. He's nothing how a lot of people claimed he was. He's willing to explain to you the work and even goes group by group to make sure you understand. Any class you take you have to STUDY HARD for regardless of who's teaching,but during 6week he made this class a breeze. Take him you won't regret

He is really good professor. His explanation is clear and to the point. He gives outlines before the exam. And whatever is there that will be on the exam. He doesn't ask anything extra. So, if you go over all review questions,that he put on the blackboard, you should do well on the exam. If you study, you will get your A.

Prof. Ordonez is the best teacher. His tests are not easy but most of the material is worded exactly like it is on his Slides. He likes to add some extra fill ins at the end of the test to help you with your grade so be sure to listen to him in class becuz most likely it will be on the test. He also was my LAB professor which helped a lot.

I just took SCB- 203 with professor Ordonez and he is great! SCB-203 is very tough, the hardest class I ever took but he makes your life easier by giving study guides :)Overall great professor definitely recommend!

I like his class , he is very knowledgeable and smart. Lazy people do not want to take this class because it is very hard and they want something easy. If I persue a goal I suppose to quit some of my personal life for a while, come on just for three months. This class is very tough for nature but professor Ordonez makes it understandable.

This is a really tough class, if you want an A, be prepared to work for it. Dr. Ordonez gives good study guides and extra credit on tests. He also answers all questions patiently and is really good about grading exams quickly.

If possible at the beginning of the semester ask for the midterm study guide and start working on it. You will thank me later the midterm and final are extremely hard and it comes from the study guide. A&P is hard however, his quizzes come from the lecture notes and powerpoint. The midterm and final are hard all new questions. No recycled question

I had Professor Ordonez for A&P 203 lab class, and I must say he's a very good professor. You actually have to pay attention to the details he mentions in class because it is definitely on the written portion of his exams. His review sheets are amazing, so if you study his review sheet, you can expect a really good grade. you have to study!

He is very gently and accessible, if you are considered an excellent or good student he never get you behind, but if you are a lazy or careless student be aware. This is a very tough class no because the professor, it is the stuff, there is a lot of concepts and terminology to memorize, lab and lecture, it is having two classes in one. Be prepare.

People complaining clearly did not study. Prof Ordonez was the best in my opinion. I had him for the 6 week SCB 204 Lab. The practical exams are obviously memorization. His written exams are SUPER easy as long as you study the study guides. I got 100% on both. Start the midterm study guide ASAP and ask him if you are confused, he is happy to help

I had Professor Ordonez for A&P 203 lab class, and I must say he's a very good professor. His class was very interesting. Its not easy class but his exams are fair but hard. Prepare for a lot of memorization.

Dr. Ordonez is a good professor! A&P is a hard subject, and if you don't put in the work, you won't pass. He makes this very clear before you even start the class. He gives all the exam dates the first day, his PowerPoint slides are great, and he is approachable and truly wants everyone to succeed!

I don't know why there are so many bad reviews about professor ordonez. He teaches well and is fair to all students. I took his lab class for 203 and it grades heavily depend on self study. Its mostly memorizing names. I would take him again for the lab if I had to.

The best professor ever!

The professor knows his job and he teaches what you need for the health major programs. If you want to have great foundations you must take him, if you just want to pass this course it is better do not take him, this is not for lazy people like you.

His is a good and challenging professor, his background tells you everything, he knows what you really need not just for thi semester, for you future health profession, if you are interested in apply for nursing or emergency technician. If you just want to pass this course and get an A it better to pick poor performance teacher that give you AAAs

I took this class on spring and the class was very nice, no the perfect class because the perfection doesnt exist. Dr. Ordonez is very knowledgeable in his field, he is a physician. I read all the awful reviews, and I think all of that is a complete infamy. I got A+ on his class, the class is very tough and demanding.

When I took his class it was my second time taking SCB204. There was a lot of information I did not understand the first time that Prof. Ordonez cleared up for me just by his lecture, without having to ask any questions. Very thorough in explaining the material, he is not the kind of professor who just reads off power points like most professors.

Prof Ordonez may seem tough but it's because he's the only Professor that seems to follow dept policies. If you really want to learn, take this professor. He's an actual MD and wants you to learn. If the only thing that matters to you is a grade, take other professors.

I think he wants their students have the knowledge to succeed in the future health professions. This course is not easy and Prof. Ordonez does well its teaching job so it is up to us to put twice the effort to do better. It is not fair that students damage the good reputation of teachers. The next time think if you are able to handle this course.

i think prof Ordonez is very good, but his quiz will kill you. the way he formulated the question are so hard to understand. he will read from the slides and the only way he grade is by the quiz. i would not take it again.

Dr. Ordonez was an amazing professor. If you pay attention to his lectures/lab you will find the quizzes and tests much easier since he mentions it all. PowerPoints were informative and thorough. I wish I could have Dr. Ordonez for all of my college courses.

Don't believe every negative comments about a professor's past performance from a students point of view. Professor J was clear cut about what it will take to pass his course through hard work and determination and the responsibility of the students to commit to intense reading about topics in order to pass quizzes, exams and written labs exams.

I learn so much from Professor Ordonez. I did very well by reading the textbook and using his power point slide as a guide to know what to focus on. His quizzes and exam were straight forward question which if you do study and read you will know the answer. He allow his students to make up his tests. I build confident in his class I recommend him.
