I do not know why COC are keeping teachers who are incompentent. This teacher is a living example among them. Miss Levine plays favoritism all the time. Do not know how to reach her students. Do not even gave specific details of what she wants. I would not recommend her.

The work that she gives is just to keep us busy. I cannot stress the amount of time I spent reading and writing for this class. There are no quizzes or tests in this class...just two essays that count towards 50% of your overall grade. I would have liked it if she she gave helpful feedback, and actually gave us a reasonable amount of work.

I am pretty much a straight A student. This teacher is overly critical of everything you write, even though the basis of humanities is often based on your own personal opinion! She even criticized titles to my writings which everyone thought was a great title! She told me my sentences were "awkward and I should ask someone I trust to read it".

this teacher was not very clear in her assignments. She had trouble getting her assignments posted on the web site and if you didn't get it? she blamed the student. I tried to email the assignments to her, but she refused. She wont let you resubmit the work and even if you have a problem posting your assignments, she will still mark you down.

I took her online English class. She graded perhaps once a month. At least 9 assignments and 2 essays would go by, and you would never know what you really have in the class. Her feedback on writing is also very sarcastic and insensitive. I am usually a straight A student and struggled to ever please her in this class. She doesn't respect anyone!

Overall, I would not recommend this professor if you can avoid it. I took a Winter Intercession course online, which is demanding in and of itself, but Dr. Cheng-Levine's assignments were too confusing at times without clarity from her. Only help this professor would offer is her sarcasm and overly critical judgment. I will avoid in the future.
