Take home quizzes..openbook tests..doesn't take up homework.Explains things well

He explains well, during test he lets you use the book. But if you don't study he will know it. He is smart and he keeps an eye on you believe it or not. I liked him very much because I wasn't stressed out before his class. Highly recommended.

Great teacher. Very clear. Accent not bad. Makes sure you get what he's teaching. Take home quizes and straight forward tests. Take his class if you suck in math. Makes it understandable.

If you need to pass the class take him. Take home quizzes, no homework turned in, tests are open notes and open book.

He's definitely one of the best math teachers at SMC. He explains thoroughly although he doesn't like to repeat or explain again when asked. His quizzes are take-home and his tests are very easy if math is your thing. Great teacher.

He is the greatest teacher that i have ever had in SMC. all take home quizes and the tests are open book. He really helps a lot in explaining the materials and hope the student will understand all. But i don't like when some students don't respect him.

Math 20 was easy because it's easy math, on top of it all he let us use calculators, books and notes -- we just couldn't talk. Awesome rules, if you don't pass this class you're a moron...I went twice a month and got a good grade.

Tests are open book/notes and you can use calculators. Quizes are take home. Drops lowest exam and 2 quizzes. Barely came to class and I got an A. Come to class early during test days because 4 some reason the class size doubles.

Definitely the BEST EASIEST TEACHER EVER!!! All tests are open notes and open book and take home quizzes,and no homework! Explains concepts very well and puts class notes up on the internet. Awesome math teacher, makes concepts very understandable.

Really nice guy. Everything you've heard is true. I have mathlexia and I passed. Even though he lets you use notes etc. I learned more from his class than any other math professor, and I've taken them all. If math is the only thing holding you up, take.

SO EASY. Just show up to class. Non-threatening teaching style but a bunch of open note quizzes and tests. You will be tempted on not studying but an easy A. Trust me.

Mr. Jiang is a wonderful professor and I highly recommend his class to anyone. He is very detailed with his notes and I learned a great deal with him.

this class is very easy, but let me tell you...it is so easy that you will be so lazy to come to class. I recommend you come to the class, listen to him, take some notes and dont underestimate. I only got a B because I never listen to his lectures and take it too lightly

OK, I FAILED this class FIVE times before I taking it with Jiang; I passed with a high B. He explains everything step by step, quizzes are take-home, tests are open note/book/calculator. What more could you want?? Take this professor if you suck at math because you'll pass with flying colors.

If you can't pass Math 20 with Jiang, you just can't pass Math 20. There are open books and open notes on every test (including the final). Very nice man, but boring and tedious lectures.

Jiang is not the best math teacher, his accent is quite thick, but it is an easy way earning math credit (though not necessarily an A, but you might earn a B or C). His tests are open book/note, though he grades hard, and take home quizzes are a plus. So it helps non-math majors to take him for Math

He is great at explaining mathematical concepts and yes,as everyone else has mentioned,has take home quizzes as well as open-book/note tests. People tend to not show up on days other than tests or when quizzes are due But still, he's great.

A great teacher with tons of patience to all students tough some students take his teaching for granted. An easy class to learn most of the time on your own since he doesn't collect homework, give out take-home quizzes, and give 5 tests which drops one; the lowest grade.

Mr. Jiang is a great teacher. Explains everything clearly. Has great exercises for ea. chapter for practice and allows notes for the in class 2-chapter tests. Takes the stress away from having to memorize all of the formulas. Your effort will be reflected in your grade.

Mr. Jiang is the best Math teacher I've ever had! I passed the class without using a book. I learned everything from his notes and lectures. He is very detailed in his lectures. I highly recommend taking his class if you want to get a solid understanding of Math.

Prof. jiange is the best math teacher here at SMC! He explains everything in detail and explains the material to the students that still dont understand during the break. His classes fills up fast, so act fast and enroll, dont be absent, practice practice everyday and even though he allows notes for tests and the final, feel confident without them!

He's a great math teacher, Asian Yoda of Math :)~ He's a little hard to understand because of his slight accent, but you get used to it, just remember "commers" are commas.

Professor Jiang is the best math teacher at SMC. He repeats everything several times until he knows you understand it. If you need help he is always there for you. Best of all his quizzes were take home and his test were open note. I wish he was teaching a higher math class than Math 20 so i can take him again. You wont regret taking his class.

The best teacher. Clear and he teaches properly. He is not fast and he gives you definitions and examples on the board for your review. Also, he allows guide sheet for the exams. You drop the lowest score. You have to take final exam. Extremely clear to understand.

I took him for both: math 31 and math 20! His math class is the easiest!u get: take home quizzes; part 2 of the test;& u use notes! He teaches very well. If u have trouble w/ math take him. he teaches like u're 5,& it's great! He explains very well. I highly recommend him for math 20(especially!!) Other teachers are very difficult. A 65% is a "c."

His accent is a little tough to understand at first, but you do get used to it. He is great at explaining all concepts in full. Also, there is no need for the textbook. He even provides extra exercises on his website. Also, NO HOMEWORK aside from take home quizzes and take home portions of the tests. VERY EASY A for a math class.

Take home quizzes. Doesn't collect homework. Cheat sheet on tests. I'd been getting A's and B's until about 70% of the way through the class, then it went downhill. Ended up with a C. I strongly suggest doing the homework near the end. The final is HORRIBLE.

Jiang is a very, very nice man and is very good at explaining the material. I want to say he is a good teacher but unfortunately I can't because he has absolutely NO control of his own classroom.If you have disruptive/talkative students in your class (like I did) you won't be able to hear him and he does nothing about it, even if u ask him to.

Take home quizzes. Some tests are part take home. Somewhat of a hard grader. Strong accent, but easy to understand. Very helpful in class. The final is short and easy for the most part. No homework kand attendance not mandatory. He posts quiz and test answers on his website.

I took math 20 and currently taking 52 from him. since he is from havard pre-med he is so smart and gives us the greastest example each time. take him if you like math but lazy and want to get an A just by taking lecture

nice person, he is not good at english, however, he can explian things clearly. I do think he always try his best to teach. You need to take to quiz to home, and test on class, which you can use review sheet for the tests. ALL THE NOTES AND QUIZZES CAN UES IN FINAL! EASY A !!!

He is nice and SUPER easy. For crying out loud he allows you to use notes and the book for the final exam. Most, no, ALL of the quizzes are take home. What the heck more can you want? He has a heavy accent but you can still understand what he teaches just sit in the front.

Last comments that I put, I should give him a good quality, I don't know why it is a poor quality. But believe you will get a good grade in his class. You will study a lot in his class. Everything is very clear. If you do homeworks and quizze, I garantee you will get an A!!!!

Most gangster math teacher at SMC. A very nice guy (Zelo!) and you can pass the class by sleeping also. Beware though cause towards the end, youll get so lazy and overconfident that it may just bite you in the ass. Watch out for the final. If you mess it up, an A or even a B is out of the question. Itll be a chinese doggystyle.

professor Jiang is a very clear and understandable teacher, if you will do your homework and your part as a student, he will do his. I really recommend to take if you want to actually study math and if you are a serious student.

Very straightforward about his expectations. At first I didn't understand b/c of his accent, but after a day or two I understood easily. Great teacher who explains stats step by step. If you come 2 class do your homework and study you'll probably get an A. 1 test thrown out, 1 sheet back & front allowed on tests (all 4 allowed on final).

Recommended for Math 20!!! Take him if you have a problem with math b/c he is not hard at all. Tests are based off of quizzes so just study those plus lecture notes. DO THE HW..its worth 100 points and it helps you study. Turn in all the quizzes they also really help. He also gives partial credit on tests so answer everything. :)

Professor Jiang is the BEST math teacher I have ever taken. He explains everything really well, for the first day his accent might be difficult to understand but after that he becomes crystal clear. I got a high B and I am HORRIBLE at math. He's AMAZING! I highly recommend him and am going to take him again for Math 20!

He's a little tough to understand because of his accent, but overall, he's a great teacher. He doesn't seem to try to get down the names of all the students, but he is still more than willing to help with any kind of questions. He goes over the example section but explains them very clearly- usually in his own way but it's much clearer.

He's great! The coolest old school Chinese teacher. He has an acient but it doesn't affect his clarity in explanation. Math is something you have to practice outside of class but, if you go to his class, you seriously don't need a text book.. At all. Just copy pages for homework from the library.

He was so awesome. For some reason, I didn't mind his Asian accent at all! Maybe it's because I'm Asian, or maybe his genuinely niceness makes the accent obsolete. Anyways, you must do the homework for this class. Studying is mandatory too if you want a good grade. Complicating problems are very easy to understand when he teaches it.

People say they cant understand his accent but it doesnt make a difference. He sounds good. But if you dont unmderstand it ASK for HELP that was my mistake and i regret it but he is a great math teacher, honestly.

He is the BEST SMC professor I've ever met. He is always willing to help his students and his lectures are very VERY helpful. I used to hate math but because of him, it made me want to study math even more!! I loved him!!! I highly recommend him.

I had failed elementary algebra once before and dropped out of a class in the subject before that; algebra was a struggle for me. Jiang elucidated the subject for me and I passed on the third attempt in his class. It goes to show just how good of a professor he is. I highly recommend him.

Seriously one of the BEST prof in SMC. The way he teach is super crystal clear and he is very kind:) Please don't go to this class if you are not willing to learn. He is always willing to teach you if you don't understand any questions and he will teach you in a way that you understand and he is super patient:) I miss him:(

Professor is really chill about attendance you basically can just sign in and leave. Take home quizzes, and part of the tests are take home. Final in class. Overall he is fair very nice man. If you're looking for a math class take him.

Professor Jiang is a very kind and interesting man. His tests and quizes are very fair, but you need to study by doing the homework. Crazy amount of homework in the summer session, but pays off in the long run.

When it comes to a math teacher you don't get any better than Prof. Jiang. Incredibly professional, explains topics very well, and does everything for you to pass and to pass with an A. Drops your lowest scores on quizzestests. All that's left on your part is to study and do the work like any math class requires.

TAKE! He is so nice and easy! You don't even have to show up to the class if your are, 'that' student who does that. He drops your lowest unit exams, TAKE HOME quizzes and homework. All his quizzes are take home! Could you believe that?! Lectures are clear and helpful! Take him you won't regret it!

Enjoyed taking his class, great professor. Is always willing to help if need help in homework. His lectures are helpful and clear. If you don't understand a certain problem he will gladly repeat it and make sure you it's clear to you. Do expect to get homework.

Take home quiz and 1 take home test. Drops lowest test grade. do homework for easy points. U sign in on a signin sheet and he doesnt seem to care if you leave class early. He has an accent so if you cant understand accents may be difficult for you. If you are confused he will re go over the problem for you and make sure you understand.

Great professor! Easy to follow class and Professor Jiang will go over anything you don't understand. There is 10 quizzes but are take home so make sure you take a lot of notes so you can use them towards the quizzes. The test are hard but its two parts, in class and take home, the take home really saved me! He has an accent but easy to understand

I hate math so much but Jiang made me understand math. I had dropped this class with another professor and with Jiang i was VERY successful. 10 take home quizzes. Tests that are half in class and half take home. Take notes, do the hw. You will do a lot of work but it really does help with passing and understanding the class. Definitely recommend!

Professor Jiang did the best lecture ever; his explanation is extremely detailed that no matter how weak you are in math or have no basic at all, I recommend you to take his class. You will be marked on home works and quizzes, so don't rely on just the tests and final exam!

Professor Jiang is amazing! I am very weak at math but his lectures are so detailed i actually understood and passed the course. I had taken M31 before with another professor and did not understand anything. You will have 4 tests, he drops the lowest one. He does assign alot of homework but it prepares you for the exam.

Professor Jiang is great, he really explains things clearly and was always SO patient even when people asked ridiculous questions (the kind where it was obvious they didn't study at all and had 0 clue what was going on in class). He makes class engaging so he does expect participation, however he never calls on anyone. Winter session lots of HW!

Professor Jiang is an amazing math professor. I have struggled with Math for so long and dreaded Math 20. The first day in his class I could tell how much he cared that we learned, understood, and did well. He would stay after class and would go back and explain any time we did not understand. I highly, highly recommend. He's awesome!

Professor Jiang is probably the most detailed instructor Ive ever had. He can literally explain ten different ways to resolve a problem and then continue forward with even more information, its a trip tbh. Hes super understanding with personal lives being affected by our current circumstances and give you 6 hour windows to complete tests.

Professor Jiang is very nice, helpful,and takes his time to explain anything you might not understand. His quizzes and tests are kinda long but easy if you do the homework and pay attention in class. You can easily pass this class with an A, he provides notes that cover everything weve learned. He drops your lowest quiz and test scores. Take him!!

I love professor jiang, he is the sweetest soul. his class is not hard at all. i suck at math and I did amazing. I would definitely take him again. he is very responsive, he understands, and he is a great teacher. He does have an accent but that wasn't a problem for me, I understood him.

This class was almost too easy. He provides printed lecture notes, but the class moves too slowly. Because he explains everything in detail, we are already weeks behind in class than where we should be. He's a good professor so I would recommend him to anyone who struggles in math, he will help you understand. Open note tests and take-home quizzes.

Best math teacher ever, this guy does nothing but teach, his tests are extremely easy. He's very kind and willing to do examples over again if the class doesn't understand. He drops the lowest scores, he's honestly a amazing guy, I wish smc would make him into a full time professor. His exams are very basic and easy and don't try to trick you

Good professor overall and a very reasonable class with printed notes, take home quizzes, and exams with questions like those on the quizzes, only harder. The class moves very slowly though, and we did not finish all of the chapters. All in all, he is a very reasonable and understanding teacher, and he teaches well.

Great math Professor. I wish I could take him again. His lectures are mandatory if you want to understand the material and get great test scores. He doesn't require the textbook as there are 2 different options for the homework, either the examples on his notes or assigned textbook questions. Allows to turn in homework and take home quizzes late.

Professor Jiang is a good math professor to be in college. His overall class isn't bad I took math 3 (Tri) We had 6 quizzes and 4 Exam including the final. He isn't bad the down side is that he won't tell u your grade for the class. I'm done with his class and I still don't know my overall grade. so yeah.. I would take this class again.
