Beyette is a very nice lady. However, I found it difficult when it came to the exams. The concepts aren't hard, but she doesn't explain the information in a clear way. Some people understand the information and easily make A's, but I found myself studying, getting to the exam, and still doing poorly. This felt a bit more than "basic" bio to me.

Easy A. Everything on the test can be found in the powerpoints. However, I found the class to be very tedious, because it was a lot of busy work. I've had several issues with her and taking forever to grade. It took her 2 months to put in one of my test grades, and I pestered her every other week. She didn't post it til I emailed her supervisor.

It helps ur grade! Although there can be busy work, she curves your overall grade so much at the end of the semester, i made a B after failing almost every test..

Oh Jill This wasn't an enjoyable class for me. Make friends w/ your group members, because they'll teach you more than she will. By the third test, I ignored Jill and listened only to Khan, highly recommended 5 rating! She'll read your emails and then never respond. Tophat used. Decent at one/one teaching, though. There's some extra credit at end.

I'm not sure why so many students have a hard time with Dr. B. Sometimes explanations could be better, but usually good. She provides a lot of videos and other resources on ELC for you to work with. She also gives tons of grades, which means no one grade will hurt too bad, and there are tons of quizzes to check your understanding. Good teacher.

One of the most generic professors I've ever taken in my life. Everything she does feels like it came straight from the "how to be a professor 101" book. Beyette is a really good teacher. Her lectures (and basically the whole course) are posted online, and she allows a portion of her tests to be with your group -- the group you work with for the entire year, including projects and around half of the in-class assignments. Attendance is taken on Tophat, so make sure you come to the class.

Professor Beyette is a nice and knowledgeable professor, but she is not great at responding to emails. I have sent her emails numerous times, and she has not responded. Her class is also SO much work. I spent more time on her class than any other class this semester. All she does is read from PowerPoints, and we have to learn the content ourselves.

Teacher cares, but the large lecture size prevents individual attention to each student. You get placed in groups of 4 near the start of the semester, so hope you get placed with good people you can rely on. The readings she assigns are mostly busy work, as often they can be a bit hard to understand but she explains content well in lectures.

My biggest issue with this class is that it is an intro class that tries to be an upper level class. The lectures are inefficient and confusing, and the tests are difficult and usually unrelated to the lectures and practice exams. My notes never helped, and I ended up having to self-teach the course to myself through online videos. Avoid if you can

Prof. Beyette is very nice and will work with you on a lot of issues. Even though there is a fair amount of group/individual work, I found both of them to be very enjoyable and useful. I definitely recommend studying the pre-class assignments (majority of the tests) before class and then take some notes in class. Also, she drops a lot of grades.

I think that Professor Beyette was very nice, but her class was not great. All she did was read off slides that weren't very helpful for the test.
