This class was great! The prof makes biology as easy as possible and gives extra credit opportunities as much as possible. Easy A if you take the interest.
Great teacher..........loves her job and this is most important thing.
Professor Brambrink is the best professor I have ever had. I am working on my second undergraduate and she has made my new major not only more interesting but very easy to understand. She provides great notes and is extremely helpful with anything you find confusion. I would recommend her as a teacher to anyone.
she is more than helpful in every single way. she loves teaching and i am trying to get her for my 110 class. i HIGHLY reccoment taking her if you have a hard time understanding the material
She is awsome!!! she will help you out if you have any questions. she takes all the questions for tests right from the notes and doesn't try to trick you. will definitly take her class again.
Jill Brambrink is the best instructor! She is very knowlegable and enjoys her students and her job! I highly recommend her to any student!
Jill is very clear, helpful, and understanding. One great teacher
JILL BRAMBRINK IS THE BEST PROFESSOR YET!
Excellent Teacher and Funny
Jill was a great teacher. She was always willing to help you out in everyway. She also gave great notes, I learned a lot from her.
Jill is the best! I have never learned more from any professor. The course is straightforward, she teaches what she expects you to know. She also answers any questions and offers additional help.
Jill is amazing! I am so happy I got her, I can't believe I almost didn't take this class this semester! She makes it easy to understand, is willing to provide extra help, and unlike a lot of the professors at this school, is likeable! I totally recommend her!!
I chose this professor because of her great reviews. I agree that she's a very nice person. However, her tests are extremely hard. I studied my butt off for every test and still only mananged a C. I wouldn't recommend.
this professor was good except her test are wordie you must study in order to maintain a good grade. overall she seemed very interested in teaching spoke very clear and was able to excert what was not understandable.. i recommend
SHE IS THE BEST PROFESSOR.SHE LOVES TO TEACH AND SHE MAKES YOU UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
She is the best teacher ever!! love her style of teaching she knows her stuff! if you slack then you will FAIL... but she is soooo good taking her again for A&P2 now!
sHE IS THE BEST TEACHER YOU MAY HAVE BOR a&p I OR II , I WISH SHE COULD TEACH MICRO , I HAD HER FOR BOTH , AND REALLY I LOVE HER , SHE LOVES WHAT SHE DOES , AND KNOW IT VERY VERY WELL
Amazing teacher!!!! Wish I had her for 109. If you study you will pass. It is just that simply. Really enjoyed her as a professor she is a great person and will help you in any way that she can.
Organized positive & sweet. Test can have tricky wording. Not many curve points(0-3),NO test drops,NO makeup test,No Xtra credit. No homework, just test. Don't need book. TO PASS; Do the test reviews as soon as she post, read over 15+ times, & quiz yourself from review questions til memorized. If U dont understand any of review, just ask her.
Exams are hard and to do well READ EVERYTHING NOT JUST THE REVIEW QUESTIONS. GOOD STUDY PLAN AND EXCELLENT MEMORY is the key. Jill is not good in LAB,the students are alone and she will come over if you ask for help. She remained seated at the computer and my group and I felt intimidated and not really welcomed to ask questions. 7 weeks with Jill.
Jill is great. Jill is one of the most organized teachers I've had. There is a lot of work what but the class is bio-She is better than the book- She explains and asks throughout the lecture "do you understand" At 1st was paranoid because i didnt think i would retain the info. She makes sure you have notes, outlines and power points. Just study!
Very positive. Enjoys what she does, but you have to study.
Jill is a good teacher. She expects you to completely understand everything she teaches and her tests reflect that. However, she gives ample notes, powerpoint, and review questions. Memorization only goes so far, you need to know it to get an A.
This class is not that hard as long as you do the work. She gives you powerpoints and great lecture notes,if that wasn't enough she also gives review questions. You DONT need to use the text books or take notes in class.
Great teacher. I was pissed that i couldn't take her for 110. she gives you great lecture notes. I didn't takw down any notes during class. She also gives you study guides a week or two before she gose over it. If you fail her class it's only because you dont want to do the work.
Had her for anat&phys 110. She is a good teacher and explains well. Her notes and power points are all you need to know for tests. But I wish she would be more easy going. Sometimes I felt like she was not willing to answer questions and looked at me as I was a moron. Overall, I enjoyed her class and would recommen her!
A&P is a difficult class as it is. It is a lot of information to absorb but Jill introduces the matrial in a number of different ways. Visually, through text and through repitition. She takes her time to explain the information and fully and she loves the subject herself which is evident in her teaching style. Take A&P 109 and 110 with Jill!
she is the best.she gives a study guide for each test, she curves and her power points and lecture notes that she post are all you need.i highly recommend her.she changed my mind about A&P.and she always look professional.if you study hard you will come out with at least a C.and yea she does answer your questions cause i bothered her a lot love Jil
Jill is a very good professor. She's very helpful and can be funny at times. You just got to work, pay attention in class, and study from the lecture notes and powerpoints. I wouldn't say her class is super hard, it is only hard if you don't study everyday. If you work hard, you should make it out of that class with no grade lower than a C.
Absolutely love her, she pretty much give you the answers before the test or quiz and all you have to do is study. I love her!! I'm taking her for 110 and I recommended her for all students. She's also lenient when it comes to lateness and family problems, she truly cares, and teaching comes to her like breathing!!
Like all the other ratings, she is awesome. I wish I had more teachers like her. Clear expectations and if you study the materials she provides to the letter you should score an A or B. No guesswork for exams, which give you the ability to actually learn and retain more. Very fair, good personality. Taking her for 110 as well.
she is a great prof!!!! I honestly studyed my ass off for her tests. She gives you a study guide:)I was scared to ask her any quetions tho because she looks at u like r u serious face but other then that shes great.
Had her for 109 too. She gives you lectures notes & study guide questions to answer. Just study & you will do well. I wish more professors were like her. She is the best!
110 is harder material than 109 but Dr. J is the prof to have. Anyone moving from 109 to 110 you'll need to step up your game but if you do you'll get an A. She is fantastic.
Jill is an awesome teacher. I highly HIGHLY recommend her. I took her over the summer for A&P 1 and 2. Got A and B. She gives out lecture notes, power points, study questions. on the test she will sometimes give couple of points extra credit. But if you do the study questions : you will do good on the test. She is very nice and friendly! RECOMMEND!
i took this professor due to a good comments,i did not understand her teaching method. She is not easy, would not recommend to anyone
I loved this class. The subject matter was interseting to me. Tests are hard, this class is no joke. A&P will become your life while you are in it. I worked super hard and got a C, Only because the first test was super hard ang was a shock. It is possible to get A's on your tests, I got a few. Work really hard...Jill is awesome.
I loved her approach, and methods. She provides clear notes and plenty of studying materials. The class was hard and you have to work for it, but you'll be better off for having Jill teach it to you.
Anyone can stad up in front of a class and read a power point presentation for two hours. She hands out sudy guides, but tells you not to memorize or depend on them. I took in the fall and dropped it. After second exam most of the class had a "D" average, and I went in with a 3.89 GPA. Run!!!
Bio 110 with Jill is very easy when it comes to notes she gives study guids and power points but when it comes to the test they are like trying to get a master degree study hard like you are in grad school and you will be fine
i would not recommend, if you love bio maybe, i did not understand anything in lecture, lab was OK.I dropped the class and stayed with 4.0 G.P.A.
This class was really hard. Although she gave notes and study guide, her test are extremely hard. There are written questions on every test and over 80 multiple choices. Biology is not my fav subject but I studied really hard but at the end her test overwhelmed me. Good luck if you take her she too smart n expect a lot out of her class.
She APPEARS easygoing and helpful, BUT, she does not like answering any of your questions nor does she return your emails. She seems biased with minorities as I am not the only one in class who had noticed this. She is knowledgeable and but teaches as if you already are familiar with the material. Her lecture notes are inconsistent with the tests.
Started off with a full class by midterms we were down to 6-8 students! Jill is a good professor BUT the work and test are INSANE. Take her ONLY if this is going to be your only course on your roster otherwise prepare for GPA suicide. No curve, no extra credit.
JILL IS SO HARD... HER STUDIED GUIDE DO NOT APPLY TO HER EXAM.. SHE DO NOT REPLY TO EMAIL.. YOU CAN STUDY ALL YOU WANT BUT HER EXAM ARE EXTREMELY HARD. AT CCP THERE ARE NO GOOD A&P PROFESSORS..
WOW!!! thats all i can say. I took Jill over the summer. OMG!!! A&P is hard, lets face it.. BUt when you study your ass off u expect a good grade. Not possible in Jill's class. The study guide is USELESS!!! Dont waste your time doing the weekly 100++ que bcuz maybe 2 of the questions willon the exam! You will have no life!!! OMG s all i can say!!!
Awesome teacher, clearly care about her students passing. I got an A in the class and basically just went off her study guide and lecture notes. A&P is hard so you have to STUDY if you don't, dont expect to get an A. She helps you outside of class and always answers your questions. I am taking her again now for 110. Good luck :)
She is a great professor. Her knowledge about the subject is very deep. As long as you put in the effort you can get an A. She'll do her best to help you understand the topics. Very open to questions.
She did not like to answer questions, her tests were very hard because she used things that were not in the textbook or powerpoints and she made her essay questions in more than two parts. I felt like I was in a grad program not at CCP. I think if she slowed down and explained the concepts in a fun way with videos and anecdotes that might help.
Jill is an outstanding professor. her professionalism and excellence in teaching and conducting class is very impressive. i think all college professors should be exactly like her. In every way possible. she is clarly well educated! she uses effective methods of teaching. She puts in a lot of effort to help the class. i absolutely adore her!
Jill is by far the best professor I have ever had, for any class, EVER. The class is structured and easy to follow, and her outlines and study guides make it impossible to not know what to study for the exams. The class is hard, and there is a ton of information, but Jill gives you every resource you need to do well.
She's very tough. Her tests are extemely hard! It's definitely a challenge. Lots of info, LIKE TONS! Her only technique of teaching is, sitting next to the computer chage the slides. You don't really need the book since the whole info is on the Power Point. In total, you have 4 lecture and 2 lab test, plus 1 cumulative final with 140 questions.
She's awesome!!!
She is very hard and expects a lot!
If you take your education seriously, this is the class for you. This course is taught at a college level and is NOT an easy A. The professor provides everything you need to be successful - you just have to be wiling to put in the work.
This was a very hard class. I'm typically an A, B student and I just received my first C ever from her. However, she's such a great professor that I'm willing to take her again. She gives 100+ review questions...do them, they help. I did it once for the last test and I got an A, however it was too late already to get a B for me.
I took this class in the summer. I don't know why people think this class is so hard, her tests are practically from the study guide and notes. Attendance is mandatory but what class isn't? Her expectations are very clear and she curves exams a lot by 3 to 5 points. She was very lenient and hopes everyone does well in her class. Taking her for AP2!
Brambrink knows her stuff, shes a great teacher. NOT an easy class. Literally memorized my study guides, and referenced the text book on anything I wasn't clear on. I just passed with an A. Don't be afraid to ask questions. She'll like you if you do.
she is the best. she is a very nice person. very helpful. you will get easy A if you study the notes. love her. thank you professor Jill.
Very organized! Outlines, power points, and questions all go along. Not the easiest, but all questions are related to study guide. Curves test grades. Doesn't tell you pointless info. All multiple choice test which is helpful if you are a visual learner to jog your memory.
I had this teacher for both BIO109 & BIO110. She is incredible. She explains everything crystal clear and will keep going over something that you might not understand. Tests are multiple choice/short answers. Labs are more than interesting. Extremely organized class. I learned more in these classes than any other class in my life.
Brambrink is a lovely professor. Her notes, lectures, and study guides are clear and will prepare you for her exams as long as you put the time and effort in. There is no guessing what material will be on the test because she covers basically everything you need to know. Her labs are a little tough but study hard and you will do fine.
Take her you will not regret it! Face it, it's not an easy class but put in the time and study and you will get an A. Her lectures, notes, and study guides are great. She cares and really tries to help her students. Highly recommend!!
She is a horrible teacher. Study guides are a waste of time and have nothing to do with the test. I had a 69 and she would not even give me the extra point to pass and she knew how hard I tried. Would not recommend her to anyone.
She is one of the best professors I have ever had. A&P is a tough course as it is, so you have to study on your own. She is TOUGH, but does provide great outlines for tests and extra lab time. This class is worth it if you are looking to really learn the subject and not to just get by.
Jill was one of the best teachers I've had at CCP. A&P is not an easy course but she makes it easy to understand. Her lectures are very interesting and if you do the review questions and understand them, you should be fine on the tests. Always multiple choice & true and false. The lab tests & worksheets will boost ur grade. Great professor!!
She stands up in the front of class talking and talking and just clicks her slides. She can see you trying to copy notes down but will still move the slides anyway. Her study guides are helpful but they have around 100 questions on them so it becomes hard and stressful to study for. You leave thinking you did good on her test but the results arent.
Dr. Jill Brambrink is an excellent teacher. She is very clear and straightforward with what she expect of her students. She gave 100 plus questions for an exam review and an extra 5 points on each exam and for the lab exams give 7 points. Anatomy & Physiology is not an easy class. Study her lecture notes and powerpoint and you will get an easy A.
Very clear grading procedures. Usually 1 lab, sometimes 2, due a week, and she also gave weekly lab quizzes. The lab quizzes are very tough if you're not good with images and they lowered my final grade considerably. Tests are tough. She provides study guides, notes, slideshows, etc. online; the textbook was utterly obsolete. Great teacher.
Dr. Brambrink is an excellent teacher. I have an undergrad degree from a great university; however, Dr. Brambrink has been one of the best I've encountered. This course is accelerated in the summer, and there is a lot of work. Definitely take her if you are going in to the health professions, you will know the material when she is done with you!
She is horrible! Stands in front of the class and clicks the slides and just blabs, gives lecture notes and study guides that you can know material inside and out and you will still fail. Wouldn't recommend her to anyone who wants to actually learn something...
GREAT TEACHER AS LONG AS YOU PUT THE WORK IN ON STUDYING YOU WILL PASS, SHES GIVES YOU EVERYTHING THAT WILL BE ON THE TEST
Great Professor!!! Very clear and helpful. No surprises, study the outlines for the tests and you will pass. 4 lecture tests (multiple choice & true/false only) & 2 lab tests, lab quizzes before each lab (didn't like them at first but they really help you with lab tests). Anatomy is hard to study but she makes it very interesting.
Amazing Professor. A&P is a hard course but jill knows her stuff. There are 4 lectures exam and 2 lab tests and a final. I am recommended her to everyone.
She is my best teacher so far and i have 50 credits so I believe she is one of the best teachers at CCP. I can't believe someone will say she is horrible. SHE IS AMAZING! and I mean it. You have to study for any science subject and that's the same with A&P. Dr. Jill teaches the material in a great manner, she's organized, and never running behind.
The only expression about her that I can share in here is that she was patience, professional, and knowledgeable!
Jill is very organized! Outlines, power points, and questions all go along. Not the easiest, but all questions are related to study guide. You don't need a textbook, only her notes to do well on test. 4 lecture and 2 lab tests. Curves test grades. Great professor!!!
Professor Brambrink is a tough teacher, or better say, a very well prepared scientist, but not a teacher. She sure knows her stuff, but she don't know how to teach. Even though she has a PHD, her notes are not the most accurate one and during class is almost impossible take notes. I wouldn't recommend her to ESL students. Difficult to understand!
This woman is amazing. She was hands down the most wonderful teacher I have ever had. Her class is difficult and you will fail if you don't work for it. I abosloufly adored and still adore her. Plus it helps that she's very attractive lol
I agree with those who said she doesn't teach. I passed the class with an A not because of her but because I worked so hard using outside resources to help me understand and I learned the material on my own. Her exams are meant to challenge your brain into thinking deeper than really needed for this course. Credit for her organized notes though.
She was alright, you have to spend so much time studying to even get a C because her tests are hard and gives lab quizzes that always brought your grade down.
This professor gives a quiz for lab every week and it's not that hard if you study but she expects you to know too much on your own and doesn't give time to study. You have to work hard just for a C and teach yourself everything but there's too much to learn on your own. Struggled so much with this class and have to take it over. No extra credit
She is definitely not easy. You have to learn most of the information yourself. Her lectures are very boring and mainly put you to sleep. This class is lecture heavy! If you are not willing to spend hours and hours studying, DO NOT a class with her. She's understanding but you MUST put in lots and lots of effort to even just get a C.
Her work is very hard. Her exams and study guides do not contain the same information. She stands at the front of the class and just clicks slides.
If you're better hands on and not a good test taker, this class is not for you. There are still grades for lab, but the larger percent of your grade are based on tests. There is no extra credit, no papers to write. You're pretty much graded based on your test grades.
She's honestly mediocre at best. She does not know how to teach! She stands in front of the class and blabs all day. Most boring class I've ever taken at CCP. WARNING: DO NOT TAKE HER.
If you are really ready to work hard, take her, no extra credit work. All grades comes from tests.
I took BIO109 and BIO110 with her and it was a tough class mainly due to how much information you need to learn, 15 weeks is just not enough to cover everything, so it seems like you are testing every other week. However, she provides the study guides and they are very helpful, if you study enough and use her powerpoints the exams are fair.
Honestly, would not recommend! I had to work so hard to even pass the course. Strictly tests based, spent hours and nights studying. If you'd like to memorize study guides and receive a C with your best effort then register. Personally I regret it and need to bring my science GPA Up so much.
She is a really nice person, but her class will bring your GPA down. Even if you study your butt off. I am regularly an A student and had a 4.0 until now. I wish I would have picked a different professor. Beware. Thats all I have to say. You will be studying everyday just to get a low B.
The Spring of '18 wasn't my first run in with A&P 1. I took the same class in the Fall of '17 & failed horribly (different professor & different study approach). However, Professor Jill was THE BEST professor I've had in a while. Do the work, reap the reward. These types of classes overall require real dedication. Push yourself harder than ever!!
She overloads you with information and the material on the study guide is different than on the test. I do not recommend her class at all. Even if I was passing with a 100, I still would not recommend. Her lectures are not interactive and she does not give clear answers when asked for help.
Professor Brambrink is my favorite teacher, she really cares. Physiology is a tough subject but she tries to help you understand. She gives you study guides for the tests, these are important! If you'r study habits are not great you'll struggle, but she can help you with some techniques. Understanding this material is vital for healthcare workers.
Jill is a great teacher, those who say that she can't teach is wrong, maybe its their lack of understanding and actually doing work! Do you have to study? Yes, a lot. Can you ask her questions during and after class? Yes, she will answer you in ways you will understand IF YOU ASK, and she will return your emails as well. I highly recommend her!
Shes very challenging. Shes a good person and good teacher but you have to work hard to pass her exams. You need the text book and know the concepts not just definitions. If you struggle with science I dont recommend her for you.
Shes tough, but in a good way. She makes sure you know the material, not "memorization" but truly understanding the concepts. No question is dumb nor did she ever say "you should have learned that in 109". Gave homework biweekly to help keep your grade up and study guides. I always knew what was expected of me. I truly felt that I learned with her
Lots of tests. Overloads you with information. Study guides have a ton of questions (sometimes 100+) just to only have half on the test. Lectures are extremely boring and doesnt really make the information interesting. Labs arent too bad. Youll be studying for HOURS just for a C. DONT BOTHER! Take another professor!
She is the best!
I took her class on a regular 15 weeks semester 3 Days a week . I had a better understanding in the lab since things were more hands on but she just gives out So much information that its hard to process learn and comprehend everything . I failed the lecture final with a 65 and the lab I had a 72 . I can also agree that her lectures were boring .
Tough and youre more independent in this class.
very helpful, tough but makes sure you learn, understand, and able to pass. gives extra credit. lectures and study guides will help on the test, and most importantly the lab you do that week is what next weeks lecture is on, so you already have some back ground knowledge before you start the next chapter, lockdown browser is used for the tests.
She is very tough and gives complex tests. She also pays attention to all your submission. If you misspell the words, she minus your score immediately. There are no word banks to answer the questions. You have tons of information to cram for tests and exams. No one in my class got A and B's.
She is a super tough grader. Do not take her course at an accelerated pace! She is a nice person but classes were very boring and crammed.
I had an awesome experience with Professor Brambrink's BIO 110 class. She provides recorded lectures, PowerPoints, and study guides to make passing her exams extremely easy. If you read the notes, watch/listen to the recorded lectures, and apply the information that she provides, then you'll do great!
She is a great professor who cares and understands you if you have an emergency or sth else. The grading is clear, you just have to do the work and study a lot because the class is a bit challenging!! I would definitely recommend taking her !!!
This professor give a lot of homework and barely raises up your grade, her exams and quizzes are very heavy on your grades and the professor requires lock down browser for taking exams and gives you 50 question to do in 60 min, but her class was easy she gave lecture about the chapters, but I wouldn't take her again.
* she does give extra credit * she also gives a extra 5 points on exams. *She offer extra help before class. *be perpared for exams with 75 or more questions which are true or false & multiple choice. *She doesnt always answer your question she finds a way to get around it. * I did find her lecture to be boring and hard to graps the concept.
Dr. Brambrink is a great professor and you can tell she really cares. She is very involved in lectures and gives a whole day of review before each exam. The most important thing in this class is watching her online lectures with the study guides. As long as you study from the study guides will you pass.
Dr. Brambkink makes it pretty easy to succeed as long as you study and do the homework. She also provides a lot of resources outside of the classroom. I think she just seems intimidating at first but in reality, she wants you to do good, in her classroom and outside. She also provides a lot of extra credit.
Jill was a very challenging class for me, her in-person lectures were fine but if you really want to get a better understanding of what she is teaching I advise you to listen to her recorded lectures with the study guide questions on canvas and that will help you be successful in this class. She provides extra credit after every Lecture Exam!!
The most organized teacher I have ever had. No confusion at all when you were about to have the exam, because her study guide was more than clear. She gives extra points after each lecture exam. I enjoyed so much AP with her.
I enjoyed all her lessons. Everything was clear and organized. If you study her study guide, you will definitely pass. Best anatomy teacher!
The best anatomy teacher!
I loved anatomy just because of her. Very clear and organized lectures. I totally recommend her.
The best anatomy teacher! Her study guide was very organized and clear. I didn't even have to listen to her video lectures because her notes were enough to pass the exam. I totally recommend her!
She is one of the greatest professors I ever had. I was out on vacay when class started and missed two major assignments. Although she doesn't allow anyone to turn in late work, the way she teaches and grade i was still able to have a passing grade. I. LOVE. HER. She is patient and very informative.
Honestly, I was not expecting to have such an amazing professor, especially since CCP is really a hit or miss. Not only does she provide you with detailed and organized notes to study off of, but also provides very informative lectures detailing the important topic at hand. It may be a lot to take in, but you have to be willing to put the time in.
Get ready to have so much homework outside of studying She assigns unrealistic amounts of homework and you will be doing biology all day everyday with no free time Extra credit is very hard and takes at least 3 hours min to complete. You cannot use google because she will give you a zero Also google doesn't help the online quizzes she has it rigged
Don't take this professor unless you're ready to dedicate a lot of time. Her 75-question multiple-choice in-person exams are tough, and the quizzes use a lockdown browser, and lab assignments take all day. If you're not strong in biology, it's difficult to keep up. She doesn't consider that students are also taking other courses.
I completed all assignments on time. I studied the study guides (which have NOTHING to do with her test) and listened to recorded lectures. I passed quizzes and it brought my grade down? She does give extra credit but does not help you at all. She is very open to helping you. I do not recommend taking her class. Impossible to pass. Very upset.
While Professor Brambrink's class is challenging, she provides great resources like recorded lectures and study guides. Paired with unstuck AI, you can succeed if you put in the work.
I had all 100s/90s in all my assignments. Her tests are graded so heavily that I still failed. I studied her study guide and NONE of it was on the tests! When we would receive our test scantrons back, the class average would be 36-60%. Though, she does give xtra credit after tests that are worth 5-10points but it doesn't do much. Don't take her!
Asynchronous 15 week course. Missed a quiz and lecture for week 7 due to being sick with rhinovirus and she asked me what specific type of rhinovirus I had. Not sure why I needed to go in depth with specifics. But hey
her class was extremely content heavy & test heavy. I feel like I spent so much time studying for this class and I ended up barely passing with a 71% you can tell she really likes being a teacher, but there's a difference between teaching her students and talking to her students. She would talk to us like we knew what the material was about
Professor Brambrink enjoys teaching and welcomes questions. Her course is test heavy, and they are pretty long. She is committed to helping her students and offers extra credit. Study the lecture notes rigorously and you will do well. Her exams are pretty straight forward but detailed. AP2 is hard, study! I would take her again.
Worst professor ive ever taken. Lectures are very confusing and she teaches as if you already have a degree in the subject; expect to teach yourself. Her lecture exams are roughly every two weeks and are composed of 70-80 questions and she will try to trick you with her questions. If you can pick another professor.
Don't expect anything to come easy in this class. Worst professor ever. Will tell you to just study if you don't understand something. If the class average is failing she will randomly add 5 points to everyone exams so that the average goes up to at least 50% so she doesn't look like the horrible professor she is.
HORRIBLE JUST RUN RUN AWAY FROM THIS CLASS THIS PROFESSOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you ever take this professor be prepared to spend hours, days, weeks teaching yourself just for her to fail you for a misspelling I will never take her again she made me question if I should drop out, change my major everything I wish I never took her class.
Her tests will make you question everything you know she does scantron tests and the questions will trip you up with multiple answers that could be correct but she picks one right answer. Never take her as a professor anyone who says she was great is a liar absolutely the worst professor ever. I don't know why professors who refuse to teach teach.
when you take lab tests yes she has two lab tests where spelling counts, if she can not understand what you wrote she gives u a 0 for the question. She doesn't teach but expects everyone to teach themselves as if we don't have other classes
The textbook is mandatory to have but you will never use it she gives "lecture notes" that are confusing sometimes out of order and more than half of it won't be on the 80 question exam. Her lecture exams are worth the most so if you fail one it takes a lot to bring u back up
JUST DONT TAKE HER
I wish someone would have warned me about this professor she doesn't teach well but doesn't understand why anyone is failing her class
if you want to keep your sanity pick a different professor
I did pass this class but barley every week my grade would go up just to drop when taking one of her exams no matter how hard I tried it kept going down them up a little then down some more and all she had to say was study harder as if 5-8 hours a day after work plus taking 4 other class wasn't enough
when the entire class fails an exam she offers a small amount of extra credit 5-10 points that will only increase your grade 1-4 points and she is no help at all she lectures as if we understand what's going on
online exams have lockdown browsers and arent worth much won't effect your grade at all if you pass them but if you fail the in person lecture exams you will drop 30 points not joking I failed one lecture exam and dropped from a 98 to a 63
if you miss one class you will fail
don't expect to get higher than a B- in this class and even that is very difficult to get
she publishes lecture notes that are 10+ pages long and most of it is useless and won't be on the exams
ima be honest if you can take another professor I strongly recommend it
RUNNNN AWAY
horrible professor
powerpoints are useless notes are useless use YouTube or anything else
I would rather chew bricks then take her as a professor again
worst horror movie
how I feel about girl this class is how regina felt about that burn book in mean girls
don't take this professor unless you want to end up in a psych ward
she makes the roof of my mouth itch
attended every class and passed every assignment failed one exam and my grade dropped to a D I had to work very hard to get it up to a C-
I can't spell and she can't teach somehow I failed and she can still "teach" the class
eventhough I passed this class I will never take her as a professor again. she is the worst bio teacher at ccp she doest even teach just how's slides and expects everyone to understand what they mean even when there are no word in the powerpoint
this is the worst professor ive ever taken
with all due respect sometimes no respect is due-sza
the muffin man could've taught this class better
if you get into her class drop early on
someone needs to teach her how to teach because clearly she never learned
if you have a doctorate you can pass this class if not pick a different professor or be prepared to fail
she failed me not only in this class but as a professor she failed me
my flavored air and caffeine got me through this class
any good reviews about this professor are fake she writes them herself
made us come in every week just for her to read off of a powerpoint that was never on any exams
her lab and lectures are useless lab you just look at diagrams you can do on your own time and lecture she reads off of a powerpoint and is very monotoned the amount of times people have fallen asleep in class is crazy
should've dropped this class the first week
lecture exams will be your downfall
worst professor ever
if you want a good nights sleep play her recorded lecture it works better than rain sounds
I wish I wasn't censored on here so I could tell the full truth about what a horrible profess she is
take anyone else just not her
she needs to be reevaluated as a professor
if you enjoy struggling in a class where the professor won't help you and is completely useless than take her if you don't want to lose your sanity take someone else
just don't take her
sorry that I don't already have a degree in biology and know everything prior to taking this class
words can't explain how bad of a professor she is
pick a different professor she shouldn't even be a professor she doesn't teach useless office hours and expects everyone to be a genius and give her praise
I wish I would've known how bad this class was going to be before I took it Jill is the worst professor at ccp
someone needs to fire her
she expects you to be dexter in lab with those baby pigs
horrible attitude horrible teacher
if I could give her 0 stars I would
horrible professor she can't teach at all
I struggled every day with this class and she was no help she enjoys failing people
she need to remove herself from the bio department atp
if anyone says they got in A in her class they are a liar she doesn't give A's her main goal is to watch everyone struggle and fail them
professor brambrink needs to understand that most of us aren't biology majors and are only taking this class to get into other programs but she insists on making this class very difficult and confusing while reading off of PowerPoints and making her exams completely different from what we learned.
when the entire class fails an exam she gives out extra credit worth 5-10 points that doesn't move your grade more than like 4 points while praising herself for even giving ec as if her whole class isn't failing she is a failure as a professor and to the entire biology department
if my entire class was failing I would try to help them instead of saying they should study more after already expecting them to teach themselves
textbook isn't used by the professor but you can use it on your own time even though most of her questions on her exams will confuse you no matter what
Her lecture exams are designed to make you fail. she will try to trick you by having multiple correct answers but only excepting one of them meaning if you aren't a mind reader and know which one she will mark correct you will get it wrong
been studying biology for 2 1/2 years now and this is by far the worst professor ive ever taken. she clearly has no concept of anything outside her class and expects her students to study 14+ hours a day rather then actually teaching
RUNNNNNNNNN away from her class
worst professor ever took points off my lab exam for misspelling after not proving any word banks or multiple choice just blank lines to fill in
she tries so hard to confuse her student
I will never recommend Jill Brambrink to anyone she is the worst professor at ccp and thinks she is the best her ego is so far up she should not be in the bio department
she does not like to be corrected even when she's wrong and gets a nasty attitude if someone tries to correct her for saying the wrong thing
This class was the bane of my existence. Harsh grader, and the lectures are some of the most boring I have ever had in my life. Please do yourself the favor and do not register for her class. If you take a full course load at CCP or have a job on the side, success is impossible
don't take this class if you are taking other class because her course load will take you 5 hours per day ontop of other classes you may have plus a full-time job
Lecture notes are 10 pages long expect to have to read 2-3 lecture note packets per week to prepare for lecture exams where she will only focus on mainly one of the chapters.
she has no desire to teach just to speak out loud and feel proud of herself
if biology isn't bad enough brambink makes it 1000x worse her monotone "lectures" ontop of useless PowerPoints plus confusing exams will be your downfall
very strict with attendance and what you can and can't bring into her "lab" she refuses to let anyone bring in any drink no matter if they are sealed and will cause a whole scene if you do and force you to put it outside the classroom on the floor. says class will end early then will keep everyone past schedule just to sit there and look at a slide
struggled everyday stayed up for more than 24 hours to study multiple times a week to teach myself because she refuses to
if you get her as a professor drop pick someone else anyone else is better then her
she inspired me to drop this course
she gives you the answers to the homework instead of teaching you what it means and the homework has little to no affect on your grade
why are we paying for textbook when the professor doesn't use it and wants us to teach ourselves using her notes
useless class should be allowed to take online especially when you have to teach yourself and don't do anything in lab until the last few weeks where she wants you to play butcher
lecture tests will be your downfall those exams are worth 150 points total class average being 60%
she should not be a teacher
if you aren't a fav student she will watch u like a hawk during exams and think you are cheating while the fav people get to cheat the entire class and she will look the other way for them
although I passed I regret not dropping this class. she makes it so difficult to pass and finds joy in her students struggle
Jill is the worst professor ive ever taken and walks around like she's the best the bio department would be better is she resigned
Run away from her class and don't look back
just awful all around
the only thing she will tell you to do is to study her lecture notes which are confusing and no help
will probably have to retake this class for a higher grade but never will I ever take Jill brambrink again
she has a no phones rule no ai rule but uses ai to grade and make her powerpoints make it make sense
there isn't enough space in this box to explain the horrors of taking her as a professor
if you want a professor that will skip over what we need for exams and only focus on blank images on a powerpoint than this is the right class for you she will set you up for failure and expect a thank you at the end after watching you struggle all semester and telling you to study more.
I don't think she realizes how bad of a teacher she is. her lecture time is spent giving us the answers to homework instead of actually teaching and lab time is her giving out a piece of paper with the names of things to study a complete waste of time
Ive attended ccp for over a year now taken over 16 classes ate and this has by far been the worst professor ive ever had to deal with. She refuses to teach doesn't care if you fail all around lazy, uncaring and unrespected
my whole class was failing because of. her exams and all she had to say was study more and to use our time wisely instead of making her exams less confusing and trying to trick us.
WORST PROFESSOR CCP HAS TO OFFER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
pick a different professor save yourself from this horrible class
by far the worst professor ive ever taken
her exams are very challenging roughly 70-80 questions using scantron her lectures are boring, uninteresting and confusing when she does "teach" lab consists of a checklist u can complete at home I don't think I learned a thing in this class and she goes very fast pase 2-3 chapters every exam
worst professor at ccp her grading system is designed to fail u
everyone in my class failed that should show ccp what kind of professor she is
80 question exams every two weeks based on 3 chapters and her lecture notes n study guides are useless majority of the things she tells u will not even be on the test
she needs to be reevaluated as a professor if more than 30 people fail her class she should be fired 30/53 is an insane amount of ppl to fail
RUN away from her class she will fail u before u even finish the class she will tell u u should stop showing up and she'll see u next semester because she knows she will fail u
Worst professor at cpp she can't teach and refuses to clear up confusion
Horrible all around
Failed by 1 point and this has been the most challenging class ever
One of my favorite teachers. Exam & lab test material is clear. Use her study guides, take your notes and use the pearson access to study extra. It's a healthcare course so it's obviously going to have a lot of material but she's a great teacher & so helpful if you need help. Don't miss the lectures as most of it is what's on her exams!
This professor doesn't help u at all even when u attend office hours she dismisses u and tells you to study more unless ur on of her favs which was very obvious who was and wasn't
I have never taken such a challenging professor as if biology wasn't hard enough she makes it 1000x more difficult it's almost impossible to pass this class with her
In all honesty you will have better luck in this class if you just watch YouTube videos about the subject her class is very boring, monotoned and taught as if you are a robot. She expects way too much from her students and will not help with anything. If you fail she believes it is your fault and not her teaching methods even if everyone fails.
literally run. the most difficult class i have ever taken. her lectures are like 3 hours long and completely boring. she talks monotone and reads off a blank powerpoint. gives study guides that have absolutely nothing to do with the test. i failed this class and took the same class with another professor and passed with a B.
take another professor anyone is better than her. Her lectures are 3-4 hours long of just looking at blank slide and a monotone voice you are graded by tests mainly that are 80+ questions each fail one and struggle the whole semester
