Jill is the best. Super friendly, funny, understanding, and leads an excellent class that you can't wait to get back to. She expands your knowledge painlessly!
I HATED how she taught out of the book called Creating America. I wanted to take an English class, not a history class!! I'd spend extra time looking up all these historical events when I should've been focusing on my papers. Good teacher, just a bad bo
Clear on what she expects, good at making things interesting. Always helpful and answeres questions with meaning, etc etc. doesn't really take attendance or care if you're late as long as you do you're homework. Hottie, too.
brilliant, interesting, passionate! what a great class. helped us think outside the box. truly.
She's awesome :)
Jill is the shizzle. She does not cram assignments down your throat, she allows a great deal of free thinking and interpretation. Plus she is HOT AS HELL.... sometimes hard to concentrate, I would find myself staring at her rather than listening...
Hella cool, not too picky, easy too look at.
Jill's the best!
Very good instructor. We mainly had debates in class (Rhetorical Thinking), they got pretty heated but she kept us on track. She taught me how to organize my style & prepared me for 102!
Great teacher. Laid back, open minded, and will help you as much as you need. If you are not big on writing and are dreading taking 102, take it with Jill. You might end up liking it.
Ms. Darley is the best! I loved her class! The books were great and she was an easy and fair grader. If you're scared of taking an English class, take hers, she's wonderful!
Jill was very helpful and clear in her lectures. Also she was willing to spend the time with her students to ensure that they understand the material.
Jill is definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had. This class really challenged me to think and write in ways I never had before. She gave us intelligent feedback, was very open and fun and listened attentively to everyone, no matter how stupid their comments. I learned a lot in this class and I enjoyed doing it.
Brilliant, enthusiastic, eloquent. The best this school has to offer. Take the "next step" and enroll in her class. She moderates debates with skill and even lets the retards spew their inane babble, all while staying on track. Bravo.
The class material could have been very dry were it not for Jill - fantastic teacher! Takes lots of time, very good with her explanations and debates, is incredibly personable. Will be taking her classes again soon! Cannot recommend her enough!
Jill is one of the best professors I've ever had. She cares about her students and it passionate about what she teaches.
By far, the best the Clark English has to offer. She's really passionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about the students and wants you to succeed. One of the only classes I've taken where the instructor was able to challenge the advanced and the idiots alike, at the same time. Everyone could participate and actually LEARN.
Very unclear about assignmets, didnt understand what she wanted from her papers...nice lady though.
I Loved Jill! She was very helpful and very open to help anybody. I wasn't afraid to ask her any questions. Very clear on things I needed to change in my essays. She made the class really fun and we didn't rush on anything at all! Which made it really nice and a lot less stressful.
She genuinely cares about her students. She took a personal interest in my success and she made me feel good about my writing, and my chances in a career involving writing. At first I expected her to be a little too humanistic for my tastes, but I learned that she just really enjoys her work.

Jill is a fantastic teacher! Her ability to involve the entire class and create an open environment for all is something that I think is wonderful and hard to come by. There really are "no dumb questions" in Jill's class. Her assignments are clear and she's more than willing to help you understand anything you're having trouble with.
Jill is an amazing person and an amazing teacher. I HATE english and completely dread the thought of even writing 1 page let alone 10. But Jill encourages me and makes me feel great about my writing. I'm SOOO thankful for enrolling in her class. Thank you JILL!
Jill is pretty much the bestest English teacher ever. yes... I said bestest.
Jill was the best teacher ever!!!! She takes away all fears you may have when it comes to English and school in general. She is willing to help and takes pride in what she does. I suggest Jill to any student for any level of English. Jill will be missed now that I am done.
I love Jill. She's funny, down to earth, and breaks the paper-writing process into small, manageable pieces. I had always been terrified of English, but thanks to her guidance, I walked out of class no longer afraid of writing. I got an A.
hated her!

Extremely nice person. I have no idea how anybody wouldn't like her. This was a somewhat advanced English course( World Lit), but she made it fun. She says things like they are, and will go out of her way to help anyone. I'm not a big Humanaties person, but I wish I could take more classes with her.
This teacher will make you interested in literature no matter what. She really sparked my interest and allowed students to explore the topic and connect it to their own experiences. She made the essay easy and told you exactly what was expected. No surprises. I would recommend this class to everyone who has any interest at all in english.
Super Easy! Only 4 papers, no in-class writing. SHe's really nice, helpful, wants you to get a good grade. Awesome!
Excellent teacher. Highly recommend her!
Great teacher, makes life easy, sometimes her classes can get a little off topic due to her willingness to listen to her students, but overall a great class
Really nice teacher. Wants you to get a good grade. Participation is big in her class. Not alot of reading :)
great teacher and not hard on the eyes either.
extremely helpful and caring!
more of a educator than a teacher. Great sense of humor too!
she is a great great teacher. so caring and genuine. really interested in helping her students.
Jill is not just a teacher, she is an educator. If you are looking at English for a career, she is you girl to help you build up your skills. If you just need to get an "A" in ENGL 102 like me, she is your girl. Loved her!
Jill is a great teacher. I would recommend her to anyone. I haven't been in school for 20 years and I lucked out getting her for my Eng. 101 teacher. What a great experience in getting back into school. Take her if you have the option, you will not regret it.
Jill is an amazing professor. She made literary criticism more fun than I ever thought possible! She truly cares about her students and makes sure everyone is reaching their full potential. She's way cool, funny, and down-to-earth. I recommend her 100%!
Jill is THE BEST. I have taken several classes from her & highly recommend any of them. The skills I have learned in her 101/102 classes have helped me to be successful in other classes. The understanding I have gained in literature has been enriching. You will work for your grade, but don't hesitate to take her classes if you have the chance.
Jill is a wonderful teacher, and has had such a positive impact on my career as an English student. She's passionate about her subject, and passes that on to her students. She's not afraid to dig deep into the material and gives you lots of time and opportunities to sort of wrestle through it. She's a great lady and a wonderful teacher.
I thought she was hard. She wanted you to have a topic picked by the second day of class for your 12- page paper! And her assigments didn't make ANYYYY sence.
This teacher cares about her subject matter, and brings that to her teaching. She is fun, easy to work with, and a very nice person. The assignments are reasonable, and there is a lot of time to work on them. Don't believe any negative reviews. Lazy students like to trash talk their teachers. They need to look within. I recommend her class highly.
I have had several English classes with Jill, as well as World Lit. The best around! If you want to REALLY understand the technical aspects of writing, take Jill. She is fair, helpful & clear. You will walk away with a better understanding of the effective as well as technical aspects of writing... which will be helpful in all your other classes!
Passionate about students. Very nice person. Unfortunately, I didn't learn much. She is so concerned at not being critical and turning off students from writing that she doesn't teach. Lots of "You know this. I don't have to tell you." If I knew it then I would take the class. Feel like I wasted my time and money.
Very nice lady. Not a good teacher. Learned Nothing.
She is flexible with you and coaches you along the entire quarter, critiquing drafts that will filter into your final paper. She uses big words to explain things so that's where there is a slight lack of clarity but she always takes time to answer questions so just ask!
AWSOME teacher !!!! She is really fair and she helps you a lot! love her
I have enjoyed this class a lot. Prepare to do a lot of thinking and work! Jill is very passionate about writing and she conveys that to the class. She is always ready to help and sets a wonderful schedule to follow. Great teacher, you won't be disppointed.
She was hard to please. you were on your own for the last weeks...
Very hard teacher. Not easy to please. hardest 3 credit class I have ever taken at Clark. LOTS of read and writing. If you take this class be prepared to work your behind off.
Great teacher.. I was worried about the paper at the beginning of the class, but she was a huge help! I would HIGHLY reccomend her for English 102!!
I had a really hard time pleasing this teacher, everything I wrote wasn't good enough because it wasn't the stupid first grade layout. She does not allow you to be creative in your writing.
Jill is passionate about writing and literature. Even if you are naturally skilled at writing, she will help you excel. If you struggle with, don't take world lit, but do take any hundred-level class with Jill. She will work with you to ensure you succeed if you are willing.
I can't believe some of these comments. Just because Jill criticizes about your topic doesn't mean you CANT please her! She won't lower your grade if she "doesn't like u" or whatever. She wants you to think outside the box to improve your english skills and critical thinking! The essays are easy. Jill is great. HIGHLY recommended folks!
I learned a lot in her class. The work is hard only if you don't put in the effort.
I'm in her class now. I would not recommend her considering she has a problem with favoring some students over others that reflects in the grade. If you screw up, don't expect her to help. We are constantly put into groups with other students to advise on our papers. Often you will get stuck with people who don't know what the hell they are talking
Often you will get stuck with people who don't know what the hell they are talking about. Even if it says a daily class, this is more of a hybrid class where she goes on field trips, assigns us work on BB. The time she does have us in class is spent unwisely, squandering away valuable time to get in groups to go over this and that.
Jill was a really good teacher and most people rate her very high. However she forces you to turn your life into what your researching and grades very harshly. Group work does really reflect what your ending grade will be, if stuck with stupid people your papers grade will reflect it. Very hard, but a good teacher.
This woman is an excellent teacher - HIGHLY recommend her. Her instructions are very clear and she makes herself available to all students, even out of class time. She encourages participation by all and is very fair. If you work had, you will love this class. After having her for 102, I've taken a class every term. So interesting!
Jill teaches what she like.
If you don't like to talk in class this is not the Professor for you. If you enjoy thought inducing coversation and like to share your oppinion with the class you will really like her! She is very kind and good at making you think hard.
Jill was intimidating at first with her intelligence and knowledge of the academic world, but then she brings you into it and helps you understand each and every move you have to make to reach your goal in your paper. I recommend her to those that are serious about school and aren't here to screw off. She is smart and funny, a great combination.
In her lit class there were no tests only papers and she decided that I did not read the text and gave me bad grades no matter what. Not to count that she grades you on how much you talk. However, I found out she was a brit lit major I decided to write my paper in a british accent and got a B (which is a lot higher than all my other grades from her
Did not read my final, I got an A on everything else leading up to it and she randomly decided the exact text that I had gotten an A on just weeks before wasn't good enough and gave me a C+. If she had read it she would have seen it was the same as the one she declared was a perfect A paper.
I took Advanced Comp with Jill. Highly recommend this course (MUCH more fun than it sounds) and her. I found her to be a fair grader, crystal clear in her expectations, and the class just challenging enough to be rewarding. She teaches you to write like 101 and 102 will not. She has extensive knowledge of academia. So much fun and learning!
Awesome teacher. She is very clear in her directions and gives a pretty good amount of time to do each assignment.
Nothing is good enough for this professor. I have never gotten below a B on a paper and I managed to get C's on everyone of my papers. She is impossible to please, even when you try writing just to her liking.
She is great. Fun class, I learned a ton of great stuff about writing.
Extremely helpful. Made sure that everyone that had a question had it answered.
Best teacher I have ever had. She helped give me back my identity as a writer. I recommend this class for anyone that feels like they want to become a more aware, broader thinking person. LOVED this class.
My first college professor and I am so glad it was her! She is very devoted, honest, friendly, and her passion for writing is contagious. I only wish all teachers could be like this!
Best teacher at Clark hands down. Love that this was a lit class that focuses on comp. So much fun! I wish all literature classes could have been like this one, thanks to Jill.
Jill is a great listener; she expresses genuine interest in her students' ideas and really seems to value their input. Her novel class is mostly driven by class discussion, so be willing to contribute every now and then. She provides great feedback on the 3 essays and lets you rewrite one of the first two. Take advantage of the peer reviews!
Jill was amazing to us "honor students", as she called us. Only 12 people in class. Occasionally she would tell stories about stupid things that people in her 098 class did. Lots of group discussions. Responses to papers were very helpful and she is very approachable if you didn't understand something. Overall a good teacher.
Great personality but a challenging teacher. I got a B+ in this class and felt like I did everything you could do for an A.
She genuinely cares about her students and if you need help she is very willing to help. If you're looking for an easy A class or don't care about nature, don't take her. However, if you're looking to learn how to write and an easy B, I highly recommend her.
I loved Jill, she cares about the students and wants them to learn. I really tried in this class, and received an A. If you put in effort like you should when taking a class and not just wait till last minute you will do fine. She teaches you what you need to know about sentence structure and everything.
Jill is great, she really cares about the class and students. Very relaxed class atmosphere, lots of discussions. She is a pretty hard grader, and really emphasizes group activities and discussion. Definitely take if you like English or want to get better. Do not take for an easy A.
ASKING HER FOR HELP WAS A JOKE. I WAS VERY CONFUSED ON AN ASSINGMENT WHEN I TURNED THE WRONG THING IN SHE REFUSED TO HELP ME AFTER THAT AND SO IM NOT WAITING ON A FINAL GRADE.
Jill is hands down my favorite professor at Clark. If you have the intellect you should to be in her 101 class I see no reason why anyone shouldn''t get an A. She is more than willing to go over every paper with you excluding the final and is very good with her feedback. Just attend every class utilize her help and put time and effort into it.
I loved taking Jill's class. I'm normally a very quite person in class, but she was engaging enough to make me want to participate. If you take her for 101, be prepared to do work. You can't just slack off and expect to get a good grade. But she's fair and will help you as much as possible.
Great teacher. Very helpful. She always gives good feedback.
This is the best English teacher ever!!!!! She is not easy, but she helps and gives all the tools you need to succeed!!
Jill Darley-Vanis is and incredible professor; one of my favorites! She truly opened my eyes to look past grammar issues and focus on the heart of someone's writing. Her English 101 class is a great foundation for all future college classes. She challenges and expands you in your writing skills in a very healthy way. I highly recommend her class!
Jill is an amazing teacher. i can truly say that she is the best English teacher. she is totally into her job, she cares for your grade and she is always looking for the way to support you. i highly recommend her, one of the best teachers of Clark!
You will do a lot of reading in this class, short stories, and a novel. She expects you to attend each class. She really cares about the students and you can tell she wants you to do well. As long as you do the reading and assignments on time, you should have no problem. She gives amazing feedback on papers too.
I loved Jill. She was my first and probably one of my best professors. She cares about her students and tries to engage everyone in lectures and class discussions. I recommened her for everyone.
Amazing lady, loves to help, but will give you the grade you deserve. Definitely helps to actively participate, she gives help to those who deserve it and "earn" her time. You look like you are trying, she will do her best to make sure you pass. Does not tolerate slackers. She has stacks of degrees... pay attention to her, makes it worth it.
Absolutely love this teacher! Would recommend her to anyone! Really humorous and helpful! Learned a lot from her!
Jill is very helpful and truly wants to see you succeed. The class is graded on 5 discussion posts, participation, and 2 papers. This class has a lot of assigned reading (as expected from any literature class). She is great at helping you have a deeper understanding of the text and relating it to modern life.
This is one of the my favorite professors at Clark! She is amazing, really knows her stuff and is super inspiring! You have to write a few essays for this class, but she is really good at giving back helpful feedback! I would take another English class with her!!
Jill is honestly a good teacher, she really cares about improving her student's skills in English, and with her long history in the field, she knows a lot of Right-things-to-do, which makes her very reliable. However, she is SUPER STINGY about your assigned readings, and she's quick to judge. Recommend only to English majors who cares.
She's a wonderful teacher, made class super fun, and exiting! I definitely recommend her for an English 101 class. She always helps on papers and gives great feedback.
Amazing teacher and so kind. She graded what the paper deserved, but she was extremely accessible if you wanted help and encouraged it several times. She was very clear about her expectations and would even write you a letter about your paper if submitted on time. She takes due dates extremely seriously and follows her given schedule religiously.
I love Jill. She is my favorite teacher at Clark. She really cares about her job and what she is teaching. She is very passionate and helped show me how fun English can be. Take her. She is amazing.
Jill was an amazing professor! She truly cares about her students and is ecremely helpful. She gives a ton of feedback on essays which becomes extremely helpful and don't be afraid to ask her for help if you need it!
Jill is a wonderful teacher who truly knows what she is talking about. She is an amazing teacher, but does not give out a grade you don't deserve. She is very helpful and willing to work with you on every assignment. You do have to read some sections from the books but it is helpful and not long.
Jill is an excellent English Professor she really knows her stuff. She's very strict on her grading policy and she is a stickler for attendance. If you make the effort and show up everyday you can get an A no problem. A lot, a lot, a lot of writing, but it's worth it.
Jill is a nice teacher, but the assignments she handed out weren't clear in how she wanted the essay to look and graded unfairly. Also, I asked plenty of questions and still the material didn't make sense.
I had Jill for IBest along with Interpersonal Communications. She is a very good professor and knows her stuff. She is strict but if you do what she tells you to do and do the reading, her class is a lot of fun. Attendance isn't mandatory but will hurt your grade if you miss too many classes. I would love to take her class again. I learned alot!
I loved her class, she was always ready to help and to meet with you after class. She knows what she is talking about and how to pass it to students. I highly recommend her class.
Great teacher although if you don't put effort in she somewhat gets a cold shoulder but is willing to help. You cannot miss class!!!
The worst teacher I have ever had.
She assigns a ton of reading, so if you have other classes or anything going on outside of her class, good luck getting everything done. She makes you print a million and two things and makes you use RFW even though its not listed as a required text. If you cant afford the book, youre screwed.
Jill is hands down the best professor I have had at Clark. Her World Lit class is the hardest class I have taken, but she is VERY willing to help you succeed. I sent her most of my papers before turning them in and she helped me fix them to receive an A. As long as you care, and show up, and try in this class, you will be successful.
Jill is the absolute BEST teacher I've ever had. She cares about her students and will try her best to help them succeed. Whether this means meeting after class or proof-reading essays, she's there for you. Her lectures are interesting and insightful and keep you engaged. She makes literature easy to comprehend; helps open up a whole new world.
I took pnw lit and it was one of the hardest classes I have ever taken. That being said, I really enjoyed it and I think I learnt more in it than most English classes I take. Jill seriously makes you work for it but she also will always help if you ask. Seriously make sure to reach out or else your grade will suffer.
Awesome professor, gives great feedback & is an absolute gem. She really wants everyone to succeed and creates a great learning environment. Very responsive to emails and willing to help.
I took a world lit class during covid when Clark was online. There was an "optional" zoom meeting every week and, having anxiety, I went to the first one and didn't go to any after that. She emailed me saying she was worried about me since I hadn't spent very much time in the shell, all I needed to know was what I needed to read and to do the work.
Lots of outside reading and work but it is fair for the comprehension that she gives. Great teacher and even better peer when it comes to deepening understanding. Would definitely recommend for asynchronous courses and if there is a time to take her class in person... DO IT! You'll get a ton out of it!
This class has a lot of reading to do, but it is expected as it is English and also 5 credits. The professor is very intelligent and talented in speaking. She does grade a little hard, but it's college. I got a C because English is hard for me and this class also was a little difficult. I still managed to pass because I put in the work. So can you!
I am a Running Start student, I had to take a 200 level ENG class to graduate during COVID. Jill is a nice person, she cares about the students and it's pretty evident, however when she writes the assignments for the week, the details on what you're supposed to do is very vague. You have to very direct or you won't get credit, as in spell it out.
She was incredibly rude whenever I asked for help, and was very inconsiderate. Her entire class was essay writing but she seemed to be focused on the history of the writing and often thought quotes weren't "poetic" enough. Her feedback on essays was confusing and not helpful in any way.
A lot of reading, but overall workload isn't bad. Jill cares A LOT, but also expects a lot. Sometimes assignments are vague, but it's not too bad. She has optional zoom meetings, they're helpful so I recommend. Great communicator & very qualified. Makes you work for the A, but it's worth it. I would take the class only if know you won't be busy
This professor absolutely sucks when it comes to her communication skills. She does not take the time to truly help you but brush over your issues briskly. This does NOT help when you are taking courses during a pandemic. Neither does she respect your pov on the DF's, it seems like she expects everyone to have the same ideas and thoughts..
I had problems with how much sex and nudity that was involved in all of the readings. There was WAY too much sex and nudity spoken about in al of these texts, something that truly made me uncomfortable. Do no take this course if you feel uncomfortable reading mostly about sex and nudity.
This was one of the hardest classes I have taken. She is a very tough grader and does not explain what she is looking for. She would never respond to my emails or would respond super late. A lot of the classwork just felt like busy work. Textbook is essential.
Professor Darley-Vanis is one of the best professors I've ever had. She is caring, understanding, and highly attentive to the needs of students. She provides clear, insightful instructions and assigns projects with ample deadlines and is always willing to compromise. You will have to read A LOT so if you aren't prepared for that then beware.
Jill is by far one of the best professors I have had at Clark. I typically do not like English courses but she managed to make the content interesting, nonetheless. She grades weekly assignments within 1-2 days of submissions and gives each and every student detailed feedback on EVERYTHING. Be prepared to read a lot!
so. much. reading. and SO much pointless work. nice lady but she barley answers your questions directly even though she gets back to you really quickly. made this class so much harder than it had to be tbh
Jill has been one of the worst professors I've ever had at Clark, she was incredibly rude to me and graded me more harshly when I compared with my peer. She doesn't care about whatever problems you have outside of class, no extensions to accommodate you. Avoid this lady at all costs!! she does not care about your well-being, only your papers
Jill was an amazing professor! Her feedback was amazing and she really wanted you to grow as a thinker/writer. Though sometimes her responses back might come off passive aggressive, she really just wants what's best for you! I had her in person for English 101 and online for English102 and she did amazing both ways.
The online setup is amazing, you cannot move on to the next assignment until you do the first. The workload is fairy easy with lots of time to get it done. 1 discussion post a week and about 2-3 assignments a week. She's very caring and sets you up for success. I loved her as a professor and I have taken her for other classes which I loved.
This is the last running start class thought it would be chill like my last eng professor. Wrong Even though I turn in work on time & never give her attitude, she all up in my business. assignment 3/5 (that's passing) I feel you lack blah blah.. ma'am I am passing your class & not giving you trouble. I drop the class bc I wanted to be left alone.
Every interpretation of the stories has to align with what she thinks. If it's different, even if it's supported by evidence, it is wrong. She marks down every single person for this. Does not actually teach how to analyze writing or about each writing component. Just tells you what to read, about 3-4 stories weekly, and then grades your analysis.
There is so much homework and reading, literally like 6 stories a week. I would do all the requirements on big papers, but she disagreed with my analysis and main points, so I would get a failing grade. She allows you to redo things, but I only got a 10% increase after writing an entirely new paper. So much work for a bad grade and no understanding
She gave clear instructions throughout, but she is set in her opinion, and if your ideas are different or the main point of your paper is different from what she would do, you lose a ridiculous amount of points. I got a 65% even after writing it twice with all her suggestions included because my answer differed from what she would have done.
I reached out to her for help, got no reply. Tried to set up office hours, and degraded me for a quarter of the 20 minutes she had. SHE DOES TOO MUCH AND TOO LITTLE WHERE IT MATTERS. Take this class if you don't have a life or other classes, that's essentially what she wants. Will grade you poorly over anything and everything. AVOID HER!
This was my second time taking this class and expressed that to her at the beginning of the term. Almost every week I came to her for advice, including conferences and she gave help but turned around saying what she said was right but my word with that advice was wrong. This happened throughout the entire course. Instructions not clear/confusing.
This professor never explains anything clearly. After asking for clarification, her response also makes no sense. There is a ton of reading and homework. After encouraging us to make our own interpretations, we get marked down for them not lining up exactly with hers. The class is depressing because of the selection of stories she has us read.
Tough class with a heavy workload, but unstuck AI helped me get through it. Professor can be direct, but if you engage with the material you'll learn a lot. Avoid if you don't have the time to dedicate.
Professor Vanis was a good teacher for my class. Our discussions were in-depth and meaningful, they helped me understand the topics we covered. World Lit is already a difficult class, and I think her assignments were confusing if you just look at the papers she handed out, but her explanations and peer discussions were somewhat helpful.
Jill is very passionate about her work and she enjoys being in the classroom. She wants you to ask questions and engage with her. Her curriculum is clear and effective. If you are struggling, TALK TO HER, she is very kind and always more than willing to help you if you're putting in the work.
She was nice in person, but passive-aggressive over canvas. If she doesn't like/agree with what you write you will get docked points. She takes forever to get ahold of. She doesn't write in proper grammar so understanding her teachings is hard. She isn't great at feedback, and when she gives it to you it's often rhetorical and doesn't help at all.
Lectures included a lot of in-class discussions. Read the material outside of class meetings, but the lectures covered enough to miss the occasional chapter. Assignment prompts can be confusing, but the assignment papers usually provided a few places or ideas to start with. Overall, Professor Darley-Vanis was great considering the circumstances.
The whole class is lectures, took a hybrid version so two days of the week are lecture in person. Professor expects highly of each student and makes you do lots of reading about the authors you are discussing in class, especially about their theories and ideas. Short temper and if you get off on any sort of wrong foot, your on the bad side forever.
She is an okay teacher. She do like that she gives you feedback and will respond back to you. However, she doesn't respect your time outside of class. She expects you to have your complete focus on her class and doesn't work around your schedule.
Very harsh, not caring at all and only grades the way she wants it done
I'm making this review a few years after I took it. Her class made me turn to Christianity to cope with it. Do with that what you will. I'd rather have brain cancer than spend another second near her.
jill is not a horrible prof. she gives feedback and is caring but boy does she grade HARSH. like wow. and get ready to READ. currently 6 weeks in and 4 books down....
Jill is an AMAZING professor! You can tell she is passionate about her job, and she is very willing to help and gives great advice. I absolutely loved being in her class. I learned so much, and I feel that I really improved as a writer.
Not great. Her writing herself is honestly in my opinion monstrous. Everytime I have to read instructions written by her, it's so painful. You'd think an English teacher would know how to organize words but nah who cares right. If I wanted to torture myself and read through a giant wall of words for 10 min I'd text my girlfriend.
