Best Chemistry teacher out there. You have to work hard ( it's not a B.S. class) but you will learn and understand Organic at the end. She is also VERY approachable, she does not make you feel stupid when you ask her a question.

SHe is the most awesome organic teacher ever. Her class is tough and it requires thought. YOU will not get an easy A so if u are looking for that take someone else.I loved her class. I learned alot and anyone who is premed will get a good MCAT score.

She is not easy and you will work for whatever grade that you get, however, I recommend her over anyone else. You will learn and know organic chem and YOU WILL SCORE WELL ON THE MCAT if you are a pre med student. She is awesome,take her, u wont regret it!

Dr. Discordia is the best teacher I've have in the chemistry department at towson. She has a way of teaching organic chem that students can understand. It's not an easy course, but she helps students get through it and learn in the process.

TAKE HER!! I had Dr. R for the OrgoI. I didn't realize how little we actually covered. I learned more in review sessions with Dr. D, then I did all last sem. She's hard/demanding/can even be moody. But is by far the BEST. If you are planning on taking the MCAT, WAIT until you can get her!

Dr. Discordia is the best professor I have ever had. Her notes are very clear and she devotes 100% of her time to help her students understand organic chemistry. This isn't an easy class and you will have to work hard to get an A. You will develop a strong understanding of the material covered in both lecture and lab. Take her if you can!

The GREATEST professor I have ever had at Towson. She makes the most difficult topics easy and very clear with notes. I had to work hard for the A but TAKE HER cause the hard work is definitely worth it!

People say you have to work harder to do well, but she's not hard. her methods of notes and organization make this class a lot easier than it could be otherwise. exams coem from notes,touch text if you like doing practice problems or need extra reinforcement.quizes mid week help a lot. it was a very easy B to come by, A with just a little work.

She revive my love for Chemistry since I came to Maryland. She works hard to teach you as much as she thinks you need to know, so she looks for students who work hard and very happy when you get good grades. Awsome teacher!!!

TOWSON IS LUCKY TO HAVE DISCORDIA! She is the best chemistry teacher here (although many of them are bad...so that is not the best honor). She is extremely clear. Definitely wait to take her, otherwise you might end up having to retake it because of the other professors who poorly teach this class! Discordia rocks! Best teacher ever!

One of the best teachers I have ever had. She's very clear, very helpful, and so organized. Her notes in class are very structured and she does lots of examples. She also makes practice tests and worksheets (optional) that really help you get the concepts down. Good personality too. All in all a great teacher

Best orgo professor ive ever had. Notes are well organized and examples are just like test questions. gives extra problems on website and is very helpful. strict about lab layout, but very easy. has quizzes frequently which help overall. easy B, work a lil bit for an A.

She is wonderful and with a sense of humor to boot. Her approach is good and she knows the students and how they think so she just comes from that angle. She doesnt do powerpoint or anything, but she does have practice problems up that will help out a bunch.. TAKE her for chemistry you will not be disappointed.

Of all the chem teachers I've had at Towson, she has made the biggest difference. Very organized, provides lots of resources and is very helpful! She actually cares how well her students do in her class. Avoid all other organic profs. she is the best!

Great orgo professor!!! Class material is extremely organized.. no suprises on tests. Lectures aren't a total buzz-kill/helpful. Has a sense of humor. Can be broodish and snarky at times but don't be afraid to ask questions. ***If you pass this class you WILL learn organic chem but don't plan on going out much over the semester.***

If you listen to her in class and use the online material, you can definitely do well... just don't ask stupid questions... she'll make fun of you for sure. You should also listen to her in lab, it's a dangerous place.

She was an awesome teacher. She gives you everything you need to study for her tests on her website. Go to class, take notes, and use her study problems and you will do great in her class. Also, I never touched the text book. So if you take her from the start you don't even need to buy it.

What a great teacher, she is very helpful, and loves to teach orgo. I had her for both do and do not regret it. Everything you need is in your lectures or on her website. I sold my orgo book back when I was in chem 331. Ill miss geekin with my friends in orgo, anyway Ill leave with two words, TAKE HER!!!!

Just an excellent class. This is one of the best science classes in the school and this professor may be one of best Orgo teachers in the country. Every concept is crystal clear with plenty of examples to practice. The material is also very useful for MCAT preparation. It would be difficult to leave this course without loving (or really liking)Orgo

Dr. Discordia provides the best opportunity to get an A in orgo. She relates to colleges students and wants them to do their best. She is kind hearted funny, and fair. She is a no nonsense person also so make sure you do what you are supposed to do and come prepared for lab. Study for quizzes. They are a big part of your lecture grade. Fair tests

Dr. Discordia is a fantastic professor. She is clear in what she expects, tells gives a lot of worksheets and has practice exams. Not an easy course, but she will help you get through it as much as possible. If she knows your capable of doing well, she'll push you so you do. Take her if you need to take organic chem for any reason, you learn a lot!

Excellent professor. Provides tons of examples, very clear expectations. Incredibly fast grader, plus she knew everyone's names in a 60 person lecture by the third class--impressive. One note: don't buy the textbook, she provides plenty of materials for you to get an A without it.

If you want to learn orgo and know it, TAKE HER!! Her lecture is so clear and she couldn't be more helpful. She really wants her students to do well. Just know, that her exams will test you on every last detail and you will probably need to study long and hard to get that A, but it's worth it. Also, don't buy the book. Everything is in her notes.

Orgo is not an easy class but Dr. Discordia breaks it down and makes it a breeze, as long as you are willing to put in your own time and study. Lab is super hard, especailly lab test at the end of the semester. A total babe too as an added bonus.

Loved her in 331, but she really gets annoying after awhile. Quizzes 1-2 times a week to keep you on your game are nice, but towards the end of the semester she was quizzing literally every class on old material & wouldn't say what chapters. Then get pissed & give her "Mom talks" & scream at the class. Great prof, but very rude sometimes.

This woman is the BEST chem teacher ever!! puts everyone else at Towson to shame. Will go above an beyond in lecture to clarify, gives plenty of quizzes to help you study and get a good grade, and extremely helpful if you go to her for help! TAKE HER if you want to do well and understand it...also very funny!!

She is best for ORGO at Towson. She is very helpful, yet very demanding. This class is not an easy class, you gotta study at least 3 hours everyday. Even if you walk out with a 'C' you really know your stuff inside out. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND HER. I LOVED HER ALOT throughout both courses. She was always available to help outside of class.

If you are bless enough to have her for orgo I or II I am sure you can pass this hell of a class. She really has teaching Orgo down to a T. Highly recommend her, even though its a TON of work. Weekly quizes, sometimes twice a week, and like 5 exams, but its a ton of chances to improve on your grade.

If you have the option, get Discordia as a professor! She is an amazing professor. She may be rude at times, but I always found it hilarious. Do your work, study, and practice her practice sheets and youll do great.

Basically a good professor. It was VERY clear what we were expected to know on exams and therefore doable. I prefer Macks as he teaches aspects of orgo I find more interesting but honestly if you get discordia you should consider yourself lucky. Just dont be a slacker and study and youll be fine.

Discordia is a god to the organic chemistry world. she teaches you exactly what she tests you on. she gives you countless number of practice problems. DO THEM, they are very helpful. Its a hard class but she makes it very understandable. Wish she could teach all of my classes!

The absolute greatest Organic Chem professor to walk the halls of Smith Hall. I'm spiraling into a depression that I will not have her next semester. Wonderful, helpful, intellegent, hilarious, and knows how to teach orgo. A ton of work but its orgo and it only helps (like actually helps). You'd be crazy not to take her (and I'll be jealous).

I just want to add, dont waste time with the text book. Second, she IS a great professor, but I think she has many worshippers and it has gotten to her head which is just a personality thing which i found annoying. Be prepared, it is ORGO after all. Also, if you do think its too much work you shouldnt be a college student. It just gets harder.

She's a great teacher but has major issues so if you are sensitive do not take her. DO YOUR WORK, PRACTICE PROBLEMS, AND TURN EVERYTHING IN and get on her good side. Make her like you by stopping by her office and letting her see you making the effort this may help when she's grading your exams on partial credit answers.

I took this class over the summer 5 weeks and was prepared to not have a life which was pretty accurate. There is a lot of material to learn but she is a great teacher I would highly recommend anyone to take her. She is very thorough gives lots of quizzes to make sure you are constantly keeping up has worksheets to help you reviewstudy.

Had her for orgo 1 and 2 and wished that she taught all of my chem classes, better yet all of my classes here at Towson. Bought the book never had to use it. Come to class to get notes, but puts it up online after that day. PLENTY of practice problems so no reason to fall behind. Very helpful and great teaching style. Absolutely will recommend her.

Yeah, she's pretty much the most famous chemistry professor in Towson and there's a good reason: she prepares her students well to be successful in any class. Organic chemistry is notoriously difficult, the only reason why the class felt easier was because she encouragedforced students to study hard for it. Other professors are also very good.

If you need to take Orgo, take Dr. Discordia! Very helpful, posts lectures online but you must attend class to fully understand the material. Lots of quizzes and opportunity for points. Tons of practice problems online, you have to do those and study everyday to do well. Orgo is hard, but Dr. Discordia makes it seem easier.

Gives you everything you need. Lectures, extra help, practice problemsexams for EVERY test. Straight-forward and very visual teaching style, cuts out bs and tells you what you need to know. Best chemistry teacher I've met, people around the country use her website where she puts all her lectures. It's organic chem... you just can't be lazy.

Dr. Discordia is a great teacher and she gives you all of the materials you need to succeed. That being said you have to work for your grades. She is a great teacher, not an easy teacher. Not to mention, Orgo 1 and 2 are not easy classes, so expect to spend many hours studying. I spent at minimum 15 hours a week studying and ended up getting As

She is one of the best professor! She understands the courses are hard so she takes time to explain things and get people engaged. She does NOT ACCEPT FAILURE. She takes your success serious but YOU MUST TAKE YOUR SUCCESS SERIOUS AS WELL OR YOU WILL FAIL. She provides all the help she can give you, the rest is on you. Just do your work :)

Extra credit on quizzes & tests. DO NOT get behind in studying material. VERY helpful during office hours. Online website is your best friend! DO NOT BUY THE BUY BOOK! Lectures are pretty fast so make sure you keep up & never miss class. Labs are pretty simple, just be prepared. Not a hard course, just requires effort. Lectures are straightforward.

Excellent lecturer. Only way you can fail is if you're just terrible at orgo. If you're a biochemistry major, you might want to study extra hard (non-Chem majors who must take this course, e.g., biochem, tend to struggle the most). The lab mainly is about processes involved in organic chemistry.

Dr. Discordia is a really great professor! Orgo isn't a subject that everyone can grasp easily, so I considered myself lucky that I really understood it from the beginning! The best advice I can give is pay attention in lecture & don't be afraid to ask questions, & ALWAYS DO THE PROBLEM SETS! You should even do some multiple times!

I loved that she had lots of examples and practice problems online. She talks a little fast and is a tad snarky but I ignored that and asked her to repeat things or slow down when I needed it and she didn't seem to mind. She gives so many practice problems and her notes are online so I wouldn't bother with the book.

Dr. Discordia's delivery of information is very direct and refined. She gives weekly quizzes, which are annoying but they force you to know the information. You do not need the book because she gives ENDLESS practice problems and practice exams. She simplifies the class as much as possible which makes a very difficult subject seem manageable.

I love the fact that the book was not needed. Attending each class, detailed and organized notes, problem sets, and office hours were all I needed to succeed. All notes and answer keys to exams and quizzes are posted online afterwards. She does not take long to grade any assignments. I will be taking her for CHEM 332!

She absolutely cared about chemistry and never talked about her divorce, which I didn't even know she was getting considering she never talked about her divorce.... Professor Discordia is an amazing teacher. She cares about her students and wants them to learn. She never talked about personal matters in class so I don't know what the previous review was referring to.. She's beyond hilarious AND knows what she's talking about. Practice the problem sets! If you need to take Chem or Orgo take her. She's great!!!!

She is great teaching the material but you really need to study to pass. I'm talking about 10 hours per week.

Dr. Discordia is really sarcastic and comes off kind of harsh at first but she only gives the tough love because she really wants her students to do well. She is an amazing professor. Made a course that is typically very difficult relatively doable if you put in your own work.

I had Dr. Discordia for Orgo I and II and absolutely adored her. She is pretty blunt and you need to work to earn your grade in her class, but she breaks down a notoriously difficult class to be manageable and clear to understand. Pay attention in lecture and do the practice problems she gives you and you'll be set!

Took Discordia for Chem 331 & 332, she is a great teacher. Explains her concepts thoroughly. Exams are pretty much straight forward you will have to take good notes in class. The free response was tough for me. Doesn't use blackboard but she updates you about your grade. Orgo is a tough class will have to work for your grade.

If u take organic chemistry with her you will not regret it. She is the best Towson has to offer; she gives you lots of homework so you can succeed in this complicated course. In labdo not take off your glasses! Overall one of the best teachers at TU I had so dont miss her classes.
