VERY HELPFUL! She explains things to you so clearly you have no questions to ask. You can ask questions the day your paper is due and still make changes. Very knowledgeable.

Very helpful! Full of energy and vivacious! Wants to see you succeed as a student. Doesn't mark down if you stutter during a presentation like the other COM professors. Would highly recommend Peplinski over any other COM professor.

Jill was a good teacher. One good thing is that as long as you got in front in the class and said something, she graded you well on speeches. She also lets you out early. However, she is very strict on mechanical errors like commas and apostrophes.

I loved her! If you email your paper to her before it is due she will correct it and give it back. You can fix any errors so you get full credit on your paper.

Her grammar handouts tell you everything that you will lose points for. If you follow these, you can get an A without reading the book!

She's great! If you do the drafts and bring them to class, she will show you what's wrong before you turn in the final paper!

Jill grades really easy on the speeches. She starts by telling you she used to be terrified of public speaking, so she's not overly critical. This took a lot of the stress out of the COM courses.

I hate writing and giving speeches. I hated the class but Jill made it a little easier. She is easy on grading speeches. Plus easy on the eyes.

Jill is great. There is a paper due every other week, but she will peer review your paper the week before and that helped me get the A because she is tough on grammar. Wrote the papers like the examples in the book. The speeches are annoying, but she is a good grader if you speak for the time required. I am taking her again for COM 340.

Great teacher. You can tell she really enjoys what she does. She will always help you out when you need it and will review your work as many times as needed prior to due date. I think she is by far the best teacher for any communications class at Walsh. Will definitely take Com340 with her! A+++

Great teacher, funny and easy-going. Lots of work but she grades on a technical writing basis (i.e. you don't need to write quality papers as long as you punctuate and spell correctly). There is much more work in 320 than 340. I liked her so much I chose to take her again! (A's in both)

Easy professor. Easy grader. I highly recommend......more than Faulk. I didn't try much and i got an A- in both COM 320 and 340. Bussiness Communication textbook was very lightly used. YAS book was used so make sure you have that. Interesting teacher!!!!!!!!!

Phenominal. Easy going, helpful, will work with you via e-mail if needed. Will work with you on papers for other classes. Gave us loads of info to refer back to. A rare treat. I dreaded composition until Jill Peplinski!

Excellent teacher and has the patience of a saint, especially with high maintenances students of which I was one. The subject matter is difficult, but if you ask for help, she will help you. If you email her, she will respond in a day or less (even on the weekends) and when you give a so-so presentation, she is very kind when grading.

Wonderful teacher! This is such an important class and what you learn is beneficial for all the other classes you have to take. I can say with great confidence, if you do not take her for COM 320 and 340, it is a missed opportunity!

One of the BEST profs I've had at Walsh!! Very nice lady and always willing to help. Decent amount of work but as long as you follow her examples, you should do quite well. Idk y the last few comments have shown the class as being difficult. Yes, theres a large workload but she grades fairly easy! Do take her if possible for any courses she teaches

Very nice lady. Everything about my writing had improved by the end of the class. It's not one of those classes you can get by without a book since it is often used. Don't think twice about it... take her!

Tremendous teacher.

Teacher was very easy. The trick is to use the in class time to complete the assignment and ask her for feedback before you turn it in. Doing this will ensure an A on every paper. Grades pretty easily on the powerpoints.

Good teacher. Extremely helpful. Funny / Interesting to listen to. Good mix of learning and hands-on projects. You’ll learn a lot about punctuation, even if you think you know-it-all! I’ll take her again.

Teacher was extremely helpful. I took her for 320 & 340 and enjoyed both classes. Sometimes the lectures can be boring but what do you expect? The material isn't the most exciting. You'll learn APA Format and get penty of good editing tips. If you have a choice to take her definitely do it!

COM340 was a class I avoided for a while. After taking 320 with Mrs.Peplinski I took her again because she is a great teacher. She is very helpful and truly cares about teaching us great writing skills to show off to future employers. We had a resume exercise which I dreaded then, but greatly appreciate now. Great teacher, I highly recommend her!

Jill is very understanding and helpful. Unfortunately, her husband passed away during our semester. The syllabus and dates didn't match and were very confusing, along with some of the assignments' criteria. No one faulted her for it given the situation, and she was very lenient in grading. She always gives feedback. Very kind and sweet prof.

She is an amazing teacher. I took her for both COM 320 and 340. Her grammar and APA notes are very helpful. Show up to class, do your work and use the time to do your assignments. Make sure to use the time in class for assignments. She's always there for any questions.

Prof. Peplinski is awesome!!!! She has been one of the best profs I've had in college. She really cares about her students and is there to help you be successful. I feel like I learned a ton in her class and I could tell other students did as well. She structures the class to teach what you really need to learn for a job after school. Wonderful!

Excellent Professor! She doesn't spend a ton of time lecturing, instead she gives you that time to work on your assignments in class. You do have to do short presentations often, but she is not a tough grader and makes you feel comfortable speaking. The class helped me improve my writing and do proper APA citations.

The class was easy. She didn't really spend any time lecturing in class, we just had in class assignments. Overall the class was very easy and she is very nice.

One of the best teachers I ever had. She always checks your work for any errors and is a very lenient grader. The subject matter is not hard, it is basically APA formatting and grammar stuff. Tests were based on all the in-class work you've done countless times. There are two speeches, but I did mine for 1.5min each and did it terribly and got an A

Professor Peplinski is great! She gives out very helpful feedback that made me a much better writer. She WILL FIND all your errors no matter how little it is. Only bad thing is that she makes you fix and print out a new copy for every little error you make. If English is not your best suit, take her! Very helpful

Jill was a great professor for BCOM 320! She is very helpful with making sure team projects are on track. She tries to relate class work to the real world. She will find any and all grammar errors. She literally drilled APA into my head. Great resource in and out of the classroom for networking at the college.

I Recommend all students to take BCOMs class with professor Jill. She Cares on her students. If you follow her instructions, you will, definitely, excels in the APA format and thats what the Management major needs.

When looking for classes i was torn between her and another professor. So glad i took her and would recommened to anyone. Before you turn something in she looks it over, gives feedback, and lets you correct. 2 exams, first is based off the book and you always have in class assignments.

She gives good feedback. Assignments are due each week, with graded in-class work. You don't need to buy a new version of the book - I used a previous edition and an old reference manual. If you put the work/time in it is easy peasy.

I took this class as a requirement into Walsh since had not taken a writing class in 14 years. Prof Peplinski was super friendly and helpful. Each week we submitted a piece of writing she would provide detailed feedback to make it better to resubmit. There were some homework assignments for grammar but they were pretty straight forward.

Jill made class fun, which is hard to find. COM is one of my favorite subjects and I was excited to have her for her energy and enthusiasm! Shes great, highly recommend her!

Jill and COM320 have been great to be apart of. I really enjoyed the SeeMoji and FaceSpace persona stories in the class. It added a lot of humor while learning, which was pleasant to have in a remote class. Feedback on assignments were constructive, Jill really wanted you to become a better writer. Typical weekly assignments but nothing excessive.

Professor Peplinski is a great teacher. She really cares about us learning. I took this class online in Spring 2021. We met every Monday through Zoom. She sent us every week an assignment to do in class that she reviewed and sent back right away. We always received great feedback, and I personally learned a lot with this methodology.

Professor Peplinski is a great professor. The only downside, in my opinion, is that she is very short/cold with her emails. I really enjoyed the format of this class and I would definitely take a class with her again.

Prof. Peplinski is a great professor that relied on the homework done throughout the week. She is very respectful and caring when asked for directions and always provides an answer.

Directions aren't very clear, however the work itself is fairly easy if you put in effort. I would say she is a tough grader but is responsive to emails and questions. If you don't have a strong understanding of grammar then you will not do well - as I read other reviews, just based on the reviews I can see why they didn't do well grammar wise.

I've taken two classes with this professor; she's great! She's a tough grader but the point is to help you become a better communicator. She gives you the option to email assignments for feedback before submitting for a grade and is very responsive to emails. She teaches another class I need, and I will for sure take her if I have the option.
