Great teacher, very involved and interactive with students. Very funny, and draws students into the lecture. She brings a wealth of information on the subject and is very clear with what she teaches.

Her class is not overwhelmingly difficult, but you'll learn just as much as you would anywhere else. No one said a class had to be hard in order for you to learn.

This was the only class I got to take with her, but she really was great. I learned a lot and only wished I had time to take more classes with her.

She was cool as hell she really got me interested and she made us laugh easy

i took her for crim invest, advncd crime scene tech, crim profiling, community policing (donuts 101), and crim evidence. she is awesome. very understanding and very knowledgable about her subject. they should definatley allow her to go back to teaching special topics again! it was awesome and i learned more because i wanted to.

Professor Shelley was my first CJ professor. Her class convinced me to major in criminal justice. She has a great sense of humor, and is kind to everyone. Learning with Professor Shelley is always fun. Enjoy!

Shelley is super easy, you don't really learn a whole lot in her class but it is pretty much an easy A.

Very good teacher. Friendly & won't embarass you. Take good notes for an easy A. If you wan't to impress her read the newspaper before you go to class and talk about a criminal justice news item. No speeches!

Prof. Shelley is one of the best professors on this campus. She is very knowledeable about the subjects and very entertaining in a good way. the only bright spot of takin morning classes is she's been my teacher each time. I've learned more in her classes than most other classes and it may seem easy, but its useful stuff an way worth my tuition.

A great teacher, I've had her for 4 CJ classes and wish I could have her for all of them. Awesome field trips and good ways to get the students attention and interest like pumping a pig's head with blood and blowing it up!

I am not a criminal Justice major, and i onyl needed this class to fill a certain criteria. I have to say that Shelley is one of the best teachers that i have ever had. Only two exam and two papers due all year and we learned alot about criminal justice that i never knew.

Need to pad your GPA? Here's the place to do it. She is a wonderful lady, though, and you'll enjoy listening to her amusing editorials. You'll really love listening to her talk about her 20+ year career as a police officer. She has some great stories.

Shelley is an easy A! If you have interest in learning about the subject of the class don't take her though. Not alot taught. You watch movies, internet clips, and talk about the news. She is funny.

Shelley is probably my Favorite professor at NKU, she makes everything hillarious and you watch a lot of recent news clips and such... Also, great field trips!! Take her if you get the chance!! She is wonderful!

I absolutely love her. She is so interesting and helpful. Her class was easy but you learn a lot.

I have had her for 3 classes and they have been so fun!! She is so easy. The ride-along is fun to do if you get the chance. We also watch a lot of shows and movies. Very entertaining teacher.

She was an awsome teacher, definately knows her stuff, and has alot of real life examples. Likes to do alot of hands on work, and give you lots of great opportunities such as ride-alongs, field trips etc. I'd definately take her again...i had two tests all semester, and two big papers other than that just show, up...its worth it!

I have had Officer Shelley for many classes. She is an excellent teacher and you learn quite a bit. She talks about experience and he knowledge on the streets. All her classes are fun and have learned a great amount.

Professor Shelley is the BEST professor at NKU! I've taken four of her classes so far and I wasn't even a CJ major until I took her CJ 101 class. Whoever wrote that you don't learn anything and the test is different than reviewed in class must have been someone who NEVER CAME TO CLASS. She goes over the exam IN CLASS, just like the study guide!!!

Most awesome professor ever! I agree with the comment below, and add "anyone who doesn't like her should have their head examined". If you never get to take professor Shelley, you're missing out!

she was a veyr funny teacher, easy to understand.She grades her papers very very very liberally. No such thing as a horrible grade in here! :)

Professor Shelley rocks. Has real-world experience which she brings to the classroom. Highly recommend her. You will have fun in her class!

She is a wonderful teacher and her class is a lot of fun. Gives a lot of extra credit to boost your grade. Students have an option to drop one test grade or skip the final if you're average from your previous 3 test is an A. I highly recommend to listen and take good notes in her class. Also, read the book and check out the companion website!!!!!

Prof. Shelley is geat, Take her class. Though her test can be a little difficult, a little studing will take care of that. The class was really interesting, I recommend her highly.

Jill Shelley is the GREATEST professor EVER!!!! I have had her like 5 times, for about every class she teaches. She was my intro to CJ professor, and made me fall in love with CJ. Go on fun feild trips. Lots of extra credit. Easy A. Watch movies and tv a lot. TAKE HER!!!

I've never laughed and been so engaged in a lecture as in Shelley's classes. She really hits home on first-hand experiences and relating the content to the "real world". Attendance isn't mandatory but I LOOK FORWARD to going to her class. Everyone does. Straight-forward tests. Extra Credit. Just an overall great class.

Shelley is by far my favorite professor I have had. She's not only hilarious, fun, easy-going and works with you if anything comes up, she knows her stuff and brings in her real life experience. If you are undeclared, take this class to see if you may have a possible interest in CJ. That's exactly what happened to me! Love love love her. TAKE HER!

Excellent professor for an intro class, awsome stories, great personality, and very laid back, don't hesitate.

be more organized for class. follow a better outline for notes that will actually be on the test. most of content needed to know for test was in book, very little was actually from the notes we took. got a's on every test with ease after her curves on each. gave many opportunities for extra credit instead of giving assignments. fun class to attend

One of NKU's best teachers, gives a lot of options for extra credit. Only complaint is the book was over $100 and we hardly used it and the book store wouldn't buy back.

She is great, hilarious, very opinionated and interesting! She tells so many stories about her life as an officer! I highly recommend her! However, her tests aren't over her stories, you do have to do a little research and reading outside of class.

Wonderful professor :) Had a complete blast with her, and even my advisor recommended taking her for all my criminalistic minor classes!

Great teacher! I love listening to her leachers that although attendence isn't mandatory I come just to get a good laugh. Book isn't used in class but you must read in order to get a good grade on Test. Test is right from the study guide TAKE HER !!

Prof. Shelley is a "i dont care what you think" kind of a person. She is an ex-cop and she knows what she is talking about. Her tests come right from the notes (so go to class) She likes to show videos and clips to get her point across. There is also a police ride along for extra credit. Definitely take her for an easy gened and an easy A.

Amazing prof, loves her students and loves to teach. Very energetic and engages the class. Easily one of my fav profs here. Exams are fairly easy, if you know the study guide, you will do perfect on the exams. The crime scene project although time consuming is very fun as well. SUPERB!

If you use the study guides and study them, then you will do good on the tests. She tells stories and shows videos that keep the class interesting. She is hilarious, and very helpful. Shelley tries her best to help you out. I was told to take her and i loved her class.

very easy class.. Makes lectures fun, is always telling jokes and knows how to keep a class interested. Study guide is exactly like the test, so if you know that you're golden. It's hard not to get an A in here. Would definitely recommend for a Gen Ed

Shelley is an amazing professor with lots of stories to back up the class material. There are only 4 exams (counting the final) and a practical project. The practical is easy to get a good grade on if you do the required elements, plus one or two things extra. Also, come prepared to laugh really hard every class.

This is the third time I have taken this teacher. she is funny and very helpful. she will tell you what you need to know on the test. I had her JUS 101, JUS 204 and now for JUS 404 usually her test are multiple choice. expect the test for JUS 404 which was essay not bad as long as you study the material you'll be fine.

Professor Shelley is awesome! I'm in her class right now and she makes learning Criminal Justice easier than you would think and the work is definitely not hard. And by work, I mean the exams. The police ride along for extra credit was awesome and an amazing experience. Take her class for a gen ed!

she is soooooo easy im in her class now and I'm passing with flying colors. the test and term papers are sooooo easy its impossible to fell her class plus she give tons of extra credit with is worth doing because its easy and simple. i would recommend everybody to take her class

Professor Shelley is an amazing professor. Her lectures are so funny and it makes class fly by. You have to study hard for the exams, but she makes sure you have all the information needed & if you have questions she's more than happy to help you.

Straighforard class, two big assigments that you pretty much get a 100 as long as you fill requirements that count as much as two tests

She is a really cool professor, if you have questions about anything just ask her and she'll give you a straight answer. She likes to go off on tangents sometimes but it has to do with criminal justice. She is an ex cop. :) I love her to death, and she gives you the chance for a lot of extra credit. If you don't pass her class then you didn't show

I found it hard to attend and engage in Jill's class but she is really funny and makes the class fun. This class is an easy A.

This class is awesome! She is great professor and the class is an easy A. There are four test including the final, she will drop your lowest grade on one test. There are weekly online assignments for easy points. There is one project but it is easy to finish. She is very helpful and easy going. I would take her again in a hear beat!

Shelley is so great, hands down. Often tells stories of her and her husband's experiences as police officers. She is absolutely hilarious! All homework is due online, she gives study guides that are identical to the tests. Plus, the class is actually fun to go to. Also, she lets you out early super often.

She is super funny which makes it easier to engage in class and i didnt mind coming to this class. All homework and quizzes are online and easy as long as you read the book. There are 4 tests and she drops the lowest one. She often tells stories of when she used to be a cop

Such an awesome teacher. Always made class fun and interesting. Really cared about her students and their well being. I was literally never bored of this class and I always was excited to go. Even if we were just watching a video it was always fun.

Professor Shelley was hilarious, like I cannot stress that enough. Tests were just your typical Scantron stuff but she does give out a study guide that covers most of the test. However, if you need to contact her, do it in person because she rarely responds to emails. I sent her at least five and she responded to one.

Initially, I didn't have much interest in Criminal Justice, but after having class with Professor Shelley I'm considering it as either a major or minor. During class we'd watch really interesting videos and lectures were even interesting too. I enjoyed coming to class.

She gives study guides for test which makes you read the book. She has the most amazing stories to tell. Be prepared for mock trial (group project).

She's hilarious! I love her. In the syllabus attendance is mandatory, but when the class is in a lecture hall she won't take attendance unless a large number of people don't show up or they only show up for a test, she'll start taking attendance. Read the chapters and fill out the study guides, but the material is interesting. Get the online book

She's very funny, and understanding. The only time she gets upset is when alot of people skip her class

I had taken Professor Shelley last semester for JUS101 and I decided to take her JUS204 class this semester. I'm really happy with my decision and the class was so interesting I didn't mind showing up. Great professor and great class, take it if you get the chance.

Professor Shelley is great. Its a fairly easy class. The lectures are interesting. You will need to buy an e book, this is where the assignments are which arent bad. And when you have exams she gives you a study guide. If you need to get a gen ed out of the way or need it for your major I higher recommend this class.

The class is really easy I took notes, but I probably didnt need to because its just kind of basic stuff. You only have 3 exams and then each Sunday you have a 5 question quiz on cengage, which is really easy. However, she does just try to fill time. Each class is just a lecture and she tells you if you should write something down or not.
