Excellent. I made C's and D's through highschool in math but came out of this class with an A. If you hate math and it makes no sense then take Jim because he makes it interesting and easy to understand.

If you have trouble with math, take him. He is awesome at explaining it. I failed college algebra then took him and came out with an A and even got exempt from the final. He is the best math teacher that I have ever had and is very willing to help you out.

Struggled early but after awhile, got my feet on firm ground. His projects and homework portfolios really helped me learn the material. Before that, i was lost. Class was great, and he does alot to help you out. I loved the class.

It was the H/W, class projects, and quizzes that got me through. I was a math basket case before Jim Bellon. He gives you a lot of confidence and that makes math more interesting. Take his class & don't be absent and you will make it too! He's the best.

Bellon is a wonderful teacher, probably the best math teacher that I have had since 6th grade. Although he stutters alot, he explains really well and for the most part and always has a smile on face. He is very helpful, gives you points even if you get the problem wrong as long as you work it out, and literally wants you to pass. I love Bellon, A+

If you struggle with math, take him. He is the best math teacher that I have ever had. He is very eager to help and goes over stuff over and over until you get it. Tests are right from the notes. Mr. Bellon is a great teacher who really wants you to do well. He definitely knows what he's talking about! You have to try to fail this class!

he may be a good algebra teacher but not a good statistics teacher. he is mean at times and unapproachable. (i thinks he's got mental problems). overall, he does want students to pass but his tests require a lot of thinking which makes it really difficult. plus there's not enough time on the tests and quizzes.

Quant. skills and reasoning is a very easy class, no brainer material. He is a yanky with a dry humor but he is also nice guy. He does not have patience for people who do not show up for class and then require additional help. If you go to class and participate he is very willing to help.

Great Teacher!! He explains math the best way possible! He wants you to understand the reason why you would do something which really helps you to remember what to do. He is really easy and doesn't care about attendance as long as you do the work.

The biggest mistake that I made was dropping this class during Spring 06 to take Boumenier Summer 06. What was I thinking? He is a great teacher.

This class in not an easy class like most class in college. However, Mrs Bellon is VERY helpful. He really does use his office time to help. I would highly recommend him espically if you have math anxiety. He is very approachable and will suggest things to do to help improve your grade in the class. Keep up with his notes anddo your homework.

Mr. Bellon is a great teacher. He teaches everything thoroughly. He offers help in the math tutoring center every Tues. & Thurs. His tests are similar to quizzes and notes. I would recommend him to anyone.

He is the best math teacher ever. I failed math at west ga last semester and took math this summer and came out with an A+He is a great guy and a great teacher his tests are reasonable and he gives partial credit and bonus questions!! If you have a chance take him..you will not be sorry you did =)

I hate math wita passion. I had previousl taken it wit another teacher i 4got her name but she sucked. His class I actually learned how to do stuff. I didnt meet the requirements 2 pass for my major type so Im retakenin it again. But Im retakin it wit him so that should say alot. He's great just pay attention.

He doesn't stutter too bad anymore and he is understandable. His tests are pretty easy if you do the quizzes he assigns and the homework and come to class. His teaching method is a little difficult to understand especially if you like to take your own notes. He has premade copies of the notes that you print out but they are not very organized.

I hate math more than anything. Professor Bellon is a really great teacher; he is very good at explaining things and is very skilled at math. He is easy to understand and willing to give help to anyone who needs it. I have no compliants and highly recommend him.

This guy may have problems with his speech, but he still gets his message across. His respectful attitude and great knowledge will help anyone pass the class, no matter how bad a student might be at it.

Although he does have a little bit of stuttering problem you get used to it and it doesnt hender the way he teaches. He is really easy. Do all the homework to give you a cushion on the test. He takes his time and teaches you only have 4 test and a final. Go to class so you don't fall behind. I made an A.!

Easy class, you dont have to go to class everyday. He has a review day the day before class I suggest you go it helps alot!!! He curves every test and the homework is worth 35% of your grade. Easy class and he really cares about teaching i recommend him!

Mr. Bellon is extremely helpful! He is always willing to help you outside of class if you need it, and he really knows his stuff. He is friendly and never yells or gets angry. Mr. Bellon is a good teacher. Ask questions, and he takes the time out to explain it to you. Tests aren't very easy because they aren't multiple choice. Sidenote: If you ever get tired of him talking about math, ask a question about his daughter and he will go on and on..it's so cute.

Took his internet based course. During assignments, examples were the most helpful thing offered. Homework boosted my grade quite a bit. Practice tests were exactly like the real test, so definitely do those a day before the test and you'll be fine.

Jim Bellon is a fantastic teacher with tons of knowledge. He's easy and he knows what he's talking about. Highly recommend, small stutter problem but doesn't affect overall clarity of class. I got an A and didn't do much at all.

He was a very good teacher. I am horrible at math and made all A's. He takes time to answer any questions you have and gives you chances for extra credit. If you come to class and pay attention, you will do just fine. Also, he has a wonderful, kind attitude and wants to see each student do well.

Very good teacher. He certainly knows his stuff. He's very helpful and it's easy to understand the concepts if he's discussing it with you. I recommend taking him, especially for College Algebra.

He's a very effective teacher; will work with circumstance if necessary. Although attendance isn't mandatory, it's recommended that you attend class. SI session weren't very helpful, but I took advantage of office hours and online practice. He expects you to review material before class because he goes through power points rather quickly.

I hate math completely, but I LOVED him! He was very helpful when asked. As long as you go to his office hours and ask for help you will no great! There were no tests, only projects that you build off of and book homework. The final was curved!

This class was an easy A. Attendance was not mandatory because all of the notes are online. The homework was a piece of cake. He WILL help you if you need it. He's a great teacher. I wish I could take it again for credit.

I liked Mr. Bellon, you just have to ask if you're confused otherwise he assumes everyone understands-- it was an easy class, after all. Lots of people skipped class, not sure how they did. He does take attendance most of the time. Easy grader-- but show your work!

It's math. What else can I say? Mr. Bellon was nice and always there to help. I never went to class and made an A. There is online homework so you need the Pearson access. Do the homework. You should never make below an A on it. He give 4 tests. If you're good at math, super easy. If you're bad, go to the math center with Bellon and then it's easy.

I really liked Mr. Bellon! I had him for Quantitative Skills and Reasoning--and, yes, you do have to work hard, but if you meet up with him often (working one-on-one) it will be so worth it! Math is not my strongest subject, but Mr. Bellon helped me to improve. I definitely recommend him for those who have a difficult time with math.

He is very easy gong. We had to buy the Aleks online course. If that is case for your class, you don't even have to show up. The online course taught you everything, and class was like review. He is very laid back and easy going .

We had about a quiz a week. The only grades we got were quiz, midterm, case study and final. There is no homework!

Best math teacher I've had since freshman year of High School. Pay attention, do his work, take his advice. If he tells you to take notes before class, do it. Tests are easy if you understand the material, if you end up like me who had trouble, going to his office hours, helped me understand everything in that class. 90+ on tests. I suck at math.

I took Mr. Bellon for PreCalculus and, before then, I never really understood math. However, after his class, I am fully prepared for moving on the Calculus. He uses free homework and text-books and is very quick to respond to emails. People say he talks fast but He is no faster than any other New Yorker. He is the best math teacher I had so far.

I hate math, and he made me like it. He is a great lecturer. Well organized, all notes are available before the lectures. He has convenient office hours, and instantly responds to emails. He provides a test review for every test, and as long as you do the review and the homework, you'll pass the exams. He an awesome math professor!!

He is a great teacher. The way he does homework and quizzes there is no reason why anyone should have lower than a B. He provides videos to help you learn. He also is good with communicating if you need help with anything. He has a lot of webinars and you can go if you need help. I really recommend his class if you want to learn and get good grades

You cannot mess this up. Prof Bellon makes Math easy. Math is not a strength of mine but he makes it totally manageable. All of his lectures are online and you can easily follow his instructions. He answers questions and takes time to make sure concepts are clear. I would recommend to anyone needing to fulfill a MATH credit. You cant go wrong here

Mr. Bellon is a fantastic teacher. He goes on tangents sometimes, but they inject a breath of fresh air into the class, which I enjoy a lot. Study for the tests, pay attention in lectures, and ask questions when you're confused, and you will pass with an A.

Easy class. He has weekly online meetings for those who wish to ask questions, and if you email him he responds very quick. He also graded fast (my class required feedback for the case study) but he gives it the same day or early in the morning! I liked the class

I loved Prof. Bellon! As one who was consistently out of town during the summer, I was able to work ahead on the assignments that were due while I was gone thanks to his awesome class structure! The textbook was online and you learn all class material from it (which was straightforward but slightly boring). He was always eager to help.

Professor Bellon was amazing! He was always open to help and had zoom meetings every week for anyone who had questions. The work was easy, and is a guaranteed A if you do your part.

Professor Bellon was AMAZING so much so that I signed up for his class next semester. He is always willing to help and explain things to your understanding. If you ever miss the deadline he always extends it for you. Responds to emails quick. There are a couple of group worksheets but everything is fairly easy. Gives studyguides for final/midterm.

He will be there to help you if you needed and he has office hours where you can join online and he will help you there. His tests were fairly easy and so was the class.

Amazing teacher but he didn't force students not to talk while he was talking and since it was a small room it was very hard to focus. I have had him before and he usually did force kids not to talk unless asked to. So, it could have just been that class or he didn't hear the students talking. His teaching style is a mixture of visual and auditory.

I had Professor Bellon in Spring 2025. He's similar to math teachers I've had before; he follows the textbook, which is online, very closely. His homework assignments are easy and forgiving. Occasionally, I would have a hard time understanding, but the practice tests helped a lot, and they're structured exactly like the final.

I'm not very good at math but Mr Bellon's class was great. He only took attendance once the entire semester. Very easy homework and worksheets, if you use the textbook you can get away with never going to class once. Only 2 exams, a midterm and a final. DO THE STUDY GUIDES!!! They are word for word what's on the exams.

He's a great guy and professor overall. He's really fast-paced. Everything flowed along really smoothly, even when it came down to reviewing for exams. There is a LOT of material to digest, so you should definitely take advantage of the homework and worksheets he gives to get a better understanding of the chapters.
