This class was really fun. He has lots of cop stories so it makes it really interesting too. He's pretty funny. Just make sure you go to class because he gives surprise HW assignments that can hurt your grade.

Good Gen Ed to take from this category. Bolger has good stories and really wants everyone to do well. Go to class, assignments and you should be fine. Lots of notes to read over for exams, but it could be a lot more difficult, all multiple choice tests

This professor is incredibly affluent in his course material. He also is very humorous and though the class consists of mainly lecture, he makes it worth your time. I highly recommend his class.

Bolger is a very smart man & communicates well. He'll answer any question about anything. Make sure you show up - some assignments aren't posted on Blackboard. Attend & you'll get an A. He was absent 1 full week prior to finals. Sketchy?

All the other commits are correct except that the week he was gone we did not miss out on any info we watched a movie and took a test. We also had our final the last week of class so less stress. Great prof.

The class was very boring and the prof was monotone and **** coffee for the whole lecture. You didn't even have to go to class to do well on the exams because all he did was read through power point presentations every class.

i really liked him. He will answer all of your questions and as long as you go to class you can pass with an A or high B. He obviously knows what he is talking about since he used to be a police officer

One of the most interesting classes I took this semester. Tells a lot of stories. No book, just printing slides off Bl.Bd. and going to lectures- which are interesting! I would definitly recommend him. Lots of experience, knows what he is saying!

look i didnt even go to class...all you have to do is go to BB and study the notes for like a hour or so and you should get a A...easy gen ed class..take him if you need to pump up your GPA

Best lecture class I've had at GVSU. He keeps you engaged and if you make any mistakes he's willing to help you out. Awesome guy. Study the blackboard notes for just a few hours and you'll do well.

VERY EASY CLASS!!! BOLGER IS ONE OF THE COOLEST N GREATEST PROFESSORS!! He made the class so fun, 4 tests out the semester (EASY A's!!!!), n 4 issue papers. No book needed either, got notes right off of powerpoint, just make sure u attend class, it was very fun n interesting. Gotta love his stories too!!

Bolger is a great guy...he makes class interesting and easy. Only 4 tests (just study the powerpoints) and four TINY issue papers (usually just searching online for a few key points). Attend class and pay attention and you will do fine! NO FINAL EXAM! take bolger if you have the chance!

He is an amazing man. He knows his stuff and lets you have your own opinion at the same time ;-) Lots of educational exercises. Fair grading. He has a kind heart and is very honorable. Would recommend this class to anyone. I learned so much in so little time.

If you go to class and read the note packets a few times before the exams you will do fine. no final exam just an easy project.

Awesome teacher, made Criminal Justice very interesting. Easy to understand, posts notes on BB and gives lectures straight from PowerPoint. Bolger is definitely one of the best professors I've had at GV by far. He makes it easy to pass and all of his exams are straight from the notes.

THIS CLASS IS AMAZING!! he is a great prof that keeps the class interesting. if you have to take this class or even just want to GET THIS PROF!! if you go to class you should have no problem getting an A. Its a fun class. i HIGHLY recomend him for this class!

This prof is great! He is very fun and entertaining in class. His tests are hard though. I studied for hours and only got Cs. There's not text so that's a plus. I like him and I'd take him again. Oh and be prepared to be the root of his jokes if your phone goes off.

Wow he is an awesome teacher - you don't have a book and all you really have to do is show up to class. Issues are amazingly simple and tests are right from the notes. He used to be a cop so his stories are pretty wild.

Really cool guy. No textbook needed which is awesome. Class does get a little repetative. Same powerpoint lecture every day. Very clear. Enjoys using people who sit in the front of the class as examples. Lots of CJ experience as a state trooper. Questions are always answered.

Bolger is a very good teacher. Class is graded off issue assignments and tests, which are both extremely easy. All tests are exactly what is on lecture notes. More importantly- no mid-term and no final exam.. Easy A and Bolger is pretty entertaining...

This guy is great. KNOWLEDGABLE about his subject with the EXPERIENCE to back it up. If you show him that you hold genuine interest in his subject, he will return every ounce.

LOVED THIS CLASS! Bolger is a passionate prof who really knows his stuff & has plenty of experience in the field. He made class interesting with intricate examples and stories. Based off of 4 mini-exams and issue assigments. Nothing to worry about. I would take him again for sure & plan on doing so.

My only complaint is that he teaches directly from a powerpoint, but he explains everything and has the experience to tell relevant stories that have to do with the material. He's a great person and a good teacher.

Easy class with alot of memorization. All Powerpoint- on BB. He is very dry though. I couldn't stand listening to him for the whole semester, but you can't really skip class. Assignments are easy. He does know quite a bit about the subject.

Bolger was sweet. His tests were easy and as long as you came to class and got the assignments, those were even easier. He's also a fun guy who knows a ton about CJ, as he was a state cop for 30 years. I recommend sitting in the front row, because he uses you as examples all the time and it keeps you paying attention & you get more out of the class

Great teacher. No textbook required which is always a plus. Knows anything you want to know about CJ from being a state trooper. Grading scale is pretty wack but other than that he was a great teacher with a ton of experience, which made the class interesting since he used examples from when he was a trooper. Straight up classy instructor, polished and professional, requirements are clearly explained, knows his field being a former State Trooper(great stories, relates them to material very well). I would take this class over again with him in a heartbeat!

easy class, awesome prof. Take him. Based on 4 m.c. tests and 4 assignments. Assignments took about 5-10 mins to do. Final was watching a movie and answering questions and as long as you showed up you got 100% on it.

Great teacher. He knows all of his stuff, he was a trooper before he became a professor, so he has a lot of cool stories to keep you attention. He is very helpful if you have any questions, and he gives a pretty much handout of the test coming up. Great teacher, I highly recommend him.

Teaches what you actually need to know! No trick questions on the test, its stuff everyone should know and just simply look over your notes a bit and ur good!

The class is VERY interesting and Bolger uses a lot of realy examples. He's lived what he teaches so he knows a lot. VERY HARD exams but easy final and easy extra credit.

Professor Bolger is the greatest human being who has ever walked on this planet. He is an expert in his field and teaches the material in ways you can understand. You'd be crazy not to take him. He was my dad's first aid instructor at the Michigan State Police Academy in the 1970s. The man talks the talk and walks the walk.

I recommend Professor Bolger 150% Attendance is mandatory but he will work with you if you need to be gone, he realizes that we are adults. Easy exams, and executive briefings, and a group presentation. Georgia is the best!!!

I love Bolger's class! He always has interesting stories and good examples. He doesn't use a text book, but has powerpoints everyday. He doesn't take attendance, but if you do not show up, you will not receive your assignments. Exams have a lot of info, but if you take notes and study, you will be fine.
