nice guy. readings are the same as the lecture(in social psy). tests are fairly easy.

If you didn't learn anything in his classes you weren't paying attention. One of the best. Doesn't **** anything, and knows his material like the back of his hand. A great prof, and a better guy, take his class, you'll love it.

I think because he knows his**** so well he makes it seem easy!! Classes are enjoyable to attend.. plus he's cute!!

All of his notes are on the p drive and all of his tests are from his notes. He uses alot of examples and makes it easy to learn.

I've taken every class this man teaches. I have nothing but good things to say. He'll go out of his way to help you out in class. take his classes. you'll get an A and you'll be happy.

A good profesor, all the notes online make it easy to not go to class, but when you do go he makes it interesting.

he is a nice guy!! But his classes are sometimes boring as he goes slow. He gives a lot of examples. You can also learn a lot about George W Bush in his class as he always gives his examples. He shows a lot of videos which makes the concept clear. But this course requires a lot of reading.

One great prof! Very nice and pleasant demeanour. He really knows what he's talking about, explains things with clarity and it's not hard to be drawn to what he's teaching at all. A nice and friendly prof, he treats his students like friends and welcomes people to speak up in class.

Great course! He's a great prof, easygoing, a little timid tho'. He talks slowly & the course seems boring @ times, but if you talk lots like I do then the course if find. He likes it when u get involved and speak in class.

Jim: You are one hell of a nice guy and a great teacher. But,****, your courses are easy. And to make matters worse, a 90 gets you an A+. Challenge us more; make us slave for a good mark. I basically slept through psych tests and got an A. Come to think of it, I slept through Personality and got an A+. Speed up the classes.

Jim is my favorite prof to date.He is always willing to help students, and uses great examples that most people(young or old) can relate to. He also talks about hockey alot....so that made the class enjoyable for me. He does have a quiet voice, but he's super funny . Tests and assignments are straight forward and enjoyable. Keep it up Jim!!!

I took a couple of his courses and I highly recommend him. His class is really easy and it's nothing to get an A. You will learn something if you want to, but even if you don't you'll still do decent. He's a really nice guy, somebody you'd want as a buddy. I'd take any class he offered

good prof. very easy. notes are on the pdrive and you can miss a few classes and still get a good mark. he really knows what he is talking about and is good at explaining things. class is interesting and he is cute which helps

Explanations were pretty clear, assignments were straight forward. Would take a class with him again.

Nicest Prof you'll ever have. Know his stuff and seems to love to teach. Off topic, but he's also a really good guitar player and plays in a local band called The Sorrys.

Easy prof, Tests were simple as long as you read the notes that were posted on the P drive. 3000 level course that was more like a 1st year class. Great prof, very smart. highly recommended

Cameron is awsome! He's really helpful, nice, funny laugh and very approachable if you have a problem. I took Social Behaviour with him, loved it! The text was easy to read, class was very casual.. I could miss a few classes and still understand what was going on because he put he notes on the P drive. I would love to take another class with him!

A very nice and genuine guy. The class seemed more commen sense, though he still made it very interesting. Easy to get a good mark in as long as you study. do the online tests from the text book(some questions WILL be on the tests so you'll already know the answers :P)

I really him and the course material. He was really boring though. I think he would benefit from a public speaking class just to improve his shyness. But besides that he was really great! Really easy class if your looking for something to boost your GPA.

I've taken two classes (Group Dynamics, Social Behavior) with Cameron and gotten excellent grades with little effort. Hes got a hilarious laugh but the material can get dry at times. Papers are easy, full marks. First professor who likes things straight to the point. You have only have to go to class for the video in group dyamics, all notes posted

Easy course, mostly common sense. Cameron is the man though! Incredibly nice guy, quirky. Easy marker, doesn't try and make things hard for you. More than willing to answer any questions you have. Just an amazing guy and a good prof. I recommend him and this course.

He is not a bad prof, the class is delivered in an easy way. If you find it easy, do not make this apparent as he does not like intelligent slackers, I learned this the hard way.

Jim Cameron is funny, down to earth, and easy to get along with. He doesn't make you feel like an idiot for asking questions and is willing to clarify/explain things if you ask. Lectures were good but at times the material was a little dry. There is a big group project but it was pretty fun. Would definitely take more classes with this professor!

3 tests and 1 assignment, tests are extremely difficult. no feedback for anything. very kind and understanding. lectures are super boring. make sure you do the readings, tests are based on lectures and readings. tests are mainly applying your knowledge of the concepts so you really need to know what you're talking about.

There is only 3 tests and 1 assignment. The tests aren't hard if you study the slides and read the textbook. Tests are based off the textbook so if you read all the modules you will do great. Jim is super nice and is really helpful. One of my fav profs. Really recommend this course.

Funny prof, knows his stuff and explains the concepts really well! The textbook is good to elaborate on some concepts but you won't have to rely on it. Jim is a great prof!

Jim Cameron is the only reason why I ever came to class. He is so kind and his laugh is the best laugh youll ever hear. His course was easy, if you want to do well you will do well. He loves showing videos and examples of studies and it helps keep you interested. Lectures can be boring sometimes but Im always there because hes the best

Best prof I have ever had. I've had him for a few courses and he usually follows the textbook. I just read the book and never went to class after the first midterm and finished with an A+. I always take courses just because he teaches them. He is funny, kind, and genuinely cares about his students. You rock Jim!!!

Jim is great! He makes no surprises and is thorough with his delivery of information. Lectures get a little tedious because theres not much interaction. But hes great and super easy to approach if you have questions or need anything!

Took this course as an elective and ended up being my favourite class! Prof. Cameron is very sweet and easily reachable. Very interesting topics and the course load wasn't bad!

Ive had Jim for 3 classes now (PSYC1250, PSYC2350, PSYC3317) and he is my absolute favourite professor. He is so kind and caring, goes above and beyond for his students and hes always making me laugh. His lectures are amazing and course load is fair. Without Jim as my professor for this class I think I would have done much worse. Cant say enough

Never was the biggest math fan but stats was by far my favourite course I have ever taken and was extremely easy. Jim made learning the material very straightforward despite sometimes having difficulty with technology. I didn't buy the textbook so I was a bit worried but the class was easier than research methods and both labs by far!! Great prof.

I'm bad at math (failed MATH 1190 twice), and managed to get an A. Attendance is sort of mandatory (watch asynchronous lectures) and you can optionally attend a synchronous lecture for questions/examples - which I did. Amazing prof, easy to understand, easy to access, labs can take a while but aligned perfectly with what was taught that week.

Jim is such a great and sweet prof. This is the second time I've had him for a course and I'd definitely want to take another of his classes again.

My second course with him, very understanding and always willing to help you retake tests. Has asynch lectures online too if you can't attend the in-person class. Material is dry and difficult, but that is more my inability than his teaching's lack of quality. Definitely caring, the grading style is helps the most poorly performing students pass.

Almost weekly quizzes are easy marks and help to create more understanding of the material. I would recommend doing the practice questions he posts on brightspace as they are often very similar to the quizzes. Exams are straightforward and you should do well as long as you pay attention in class.

Dr. Cameron is such a gem, he's so laid-back and fun to chat with. As long as you get the digital textbook, you'll do great. The questions of the week are easy points, so don't miss out! He allows for things to be done on your own time, which I love. He's one of the better psych profs I've had at SMU. If you have Dr. Cameron, you're in good hands!!

Great professor & awesome course! Loved everything about this for my first term at SMU. Dr. Cameron was smart, fair, and delivered "a lot" of interesting material in this course. I look forward to taking more courses with Prof Cameron as I pursue a BA in Psychology at SMU.

Dr.Cameron is an amazing professor!!!!! Very laid back and easygoing with students, leads to a more comfortable classroom environment. The lectures can be slow at times but are beneficial as he makes it clear what will be on tests/quizzes. An overall enjoyable professor to talk to! You can tell he cares about students not only on an academic level!

Such a nice prof. Was terrified to take stats, but he is super kind and understanding that most people feel that way - somehow makes the whole math thing a little less frightening.

He's pretty funny and very laid-back. The lecture slides are well organized and include everything you need to know. He walks through the math in class and takes the time to explain the material thoroughly. He had bi-weekly online quizzes and in-class tests that were easy so long as you paid attention and studied the slides. I would recommend!
