Allright guy. Lectures can be boring sometimes (he even admits this), but overall he tries to make it interesting. Has a sense of humor. Must resist urge to say to him, "Fo' sheezy my Cheezy."

He does what I thought impossible, and makes genuinely interesting material unbearably boring. Way too easy to just fall asleep in class. At least the notes are online and the tests aren't hard.

Lectures can rather dull some days, but material is interesting. Tests are generally pretty easy, but sometimes he throws in a few trick questions. Not a bad guy at all.

Pretty boring, but easy. Interesting material that should be presented better. If you're looking for a good mark, this is the class. If you want to be interested, look elsewhere.

he had no idea what was going on, he would teach us something and then be like "oops i meant the total opposite". get the notes off the internet and you can get an 80. good class to sleep in.

there is something about his voice, it's monotonousness, that put me to sleep instantly, that and the dark lecture hall were not good combinations. I slept everyday

Very good prof!!!! Doesn't try to trick you with stupid multiple choice questions like "A and B" or "non of the above" Just wants to know if you got it!If you need an average boost this is the class!

*cries* OMG... most boring prof EVER... his lectures are boring and monontonous... altough for the most part he is very helpful outside of class and will answer any questions you have... but over all I'd avoid him, if you want to stay awake in class

His tests are multiple choice so you would assume that they are easy- they aren't, he words all of his questions to make them as confusing as possible. It is hard to understand what he is trying to ask for. He gives a lot of tests and they are worth a lot of the final mark. his class is also boring

This prof is horrible. He uses words to confuse you on the test. I went to talk to him about my mark and he ignored me for over 2 weeks didn't even reply to my e-mails he was always to busy to help me.

Cheesman is quite boring if you are not interesting in the material.Tests are pretty much straight from notes so if you study that you should do okay.

This was the easiest, most straight forward class I have ever taken. The tests are straight from the notes and are not difficult. I can't understand how people fail this class! This class was so easy, it was boring.

Everyone says he's so boring, but I didn't think he was that bad. He really loves the material he's teaching. His quizzes are fair and the class is straightforward. His quizzes are harder than you'd expect, though - the fact that his quizzes are multiple choice does not mean they're no-brainers! I liked the class.

The material was very interesting, but Cheesman just wasn't!! His quizzes are extremely hard! He knows his material and enjoys it, but he just does not make it interesting to the class. I've NEVER fallen asleep in a class until this one!

Cheesman is a good prof. Gets confusing sometimes when he can't even remember what he is teaching about. He is very approachable, but beware! once you go up to him, he doesn't quit talking. I give him a thumbs up! (he likes to shushhhhhh the class alot)

For sure a boring class, but not that difficult. If you even half pay attention and study your notes you should do fine. I thought the quizzes were easy and reflected exactly what was in the notes. I've heard of much more difficult Psy 110 classes.

I Fall asleep pretty much every class. that said, it's not a hard class and he seems like an okay guy. I'd definately recommend him over a few of the other psych profs

Worst class ever! I do not recommend him if you want to take psychology! However, if you like to have a good sleep a couple times a week -- he is your man. If you ask him a question he will most likely answer, and I quote: "I don't know".

Definitely not a difficult class. Professor Cheesman seems like a cool guy. He has a sense of humour and has a passion for his work. Sometimes he goes over certain material for an excessively long time but you'll get over it. I enjoyed the class; it was interesting material.

He posts the notes online for easy access and his ezxams are based mostly on the notes. You aslo get a cheat sheet for the final. (At least this year you did.)

Worst prof i've ever had. Most times he doesn't know the answers to your questions. I usually end up not even going becuase I have found that I learn more by just reading the notes and textbook. He is a major knob. I would never recommend him. Take McGregor's class, i've heard nothing but good things about him

BLAH. Definetly did other h/w during his lectures. He is right damn boring. More importantly, anytime anyone asked a question he usually answered with 'have to get back to you on that one' meaning he had no clue how to explain it. And really he never got back to those I know who emailed him! If you can, take another prof

The class was very tough to sit through. he's an okay guy, and he loves psychology, but I'm not sure how much he likes teaching it. same stuff year after year, with pretty much the same materials and it shows. if you want a class you can mostly sleep through, take this, if you'd rather learn psychology, find another prof

Seemed like he made the class reasonably interesting considering how broad the topics covered were. However, I do wish he had gotten back to us on some of the more interesting questions people asked. He was helpful and friendly if you asked him a question in person.

This is a TERRIBLE class.. i hated it and all he had to say was "um um um" all the freakin time. Definetly did other homework/slept/skipped most times because i just had better things to do. AND I STILL PASSED!

Jimmy Cheese! This class was probably the worst decision of my first year. The material was pretty easy, but it was just so hard to stay awake in jimmy's damn lecture. Bring a pillow for sure, or you can attempt to do well in the class and listen. There are some people who went into the final with a 100%, but that takes a lot of energy drinks!

Has a monotone voice so you really have no idea what he's emphasizing or not. THE hardest class to stay awake in. I don't think he really knew his stuff either.

I like psych and i found it nearly impossible to stay awake in his class. Seems like a nice guy and despite his monotone voice which is about 30 times more effective than any sleeping pill i'm still sitting at about an 85 in the class so... meh.

first term was extremely boring. but second term i have been loving the class. it has seemed to get a lot more interesting. and the Prof makes some good jokes. i really like the guy! fairly easy class.

He knows a lot of psychology, but he is notoriously monotone. If he had some inflection or expression, maybe he could keep the attention of half of the class! If you're taking this for an elective and don't know what you're getting into, take something else!

He is extremely boring to listen to in class. But he lets you take a cheat sheet into the final exam and you get to do research studies for 5 extra bonus marks. Midterms weren't too hard, but you definitely need to read every slide of the notes as well as every page of the textbook.

You can tell he's probably taught this class about a thousand times and getting relatively bored of it. Very monotonous as everyone says and the tests were hard but fair. You get a cheat sheet for the final and there is opportunity to gain 5 bonus marks which definitely helps.

I will agree he was prety hard to listen to some days, but some of the material is just not interesting. From what I heard from friends in other sections he is the best teacher for psych 110. Opportunity for 5 bonus marks through participating in studies, FAIR exams (4 midterms, 1 final) all of which were MC. Pulled off an 84 with moderate effort,

Amazing prof. I've never seen anyone teach so well! Maybe its just my interest in the field, but I felt totally drawn into everything he said. plus he's got fun videos.

This class wasn't the easiest, but it wasn't the hardest either. You do have to read the entire textbook, and his slides though. I don't know, I didn't mind him. He knew his****.

Very monotonous!!! Was definetly hard paying attention some days. But all in all he was a pretty good prof, the tests were ALWAYS multiple choice, you got to bring a cheat sheet to the final, he always stays after class for people with questions and he was very willing to accomodate me when I missed an exam.

I transferred from other session to his session after first semester, and gained 15% in final...so easy!! But textbook is must!!
