Weird but funny!

The kindest, most wonderful teacher in the land. He should hce won the Chancellor's Award ten times, but never has. I love this man

I came into this class with blinder because i am a student from a different school so i had no idea who would be my professor. I would have to state that i am very blessed to have the previlage to take his class. He is so great and i loved every moment

Wow! What a refreshing experience! Coming from another school, I had no prior knowledge of SCCC professors. He turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Really cares about the student as an individual.

I had this man twice while at SCCC and boy oh boy was he a good teacher. He is pleasantly eccentric and neurotic and would cut off his pinky finger to help a student(he bought the whole class bottled water because it was a summer class and very hot)

Prof. Mattimore's class is a break between other stressful classes. It is the only class that you can laugh and learn a lot of new things. His class is so comfortable you don't want to miss any of them.

A wonderful professor. His class allowed me to enjoy literature and explore it. I learned without feeling pressured or overwhlemed. The works that we read, were chosen with great taste, each one was a pleasure to read. I am thankful for a great experience.

The ONLY Professor I can honestly say that is CARING, HUMEROUS, FAIR, & INTERESTING !! He made my first online class a pleasure and most of all STRESS FREE :) I would DEFINATELY take him again for ANYTHING !

Prof M - is such a delight, he keeps it simple and interesting. He is not easy by far, but if you do what is expected then a good grade is sure to follow. I truly enjoyed Prof M's humor and wit as well - he is the best!

he is the best professor ever!!! you do absolutely no work and about 99% of the class gets A's! As long as he thinks you like him and you laugh at his jokes, your in. You do not write one paper or do one hw assignment! all professors should be like him! he is also very helpful, funny, and caring!

Jim Mattimore is one of a kind...he is my favorite teacher in all of Suffolk!! He's definetly an easy teacher! Also a great guy who will always make you laugh...he'll complain along with you when the weather stinks and your sick...he worrys about you when your not in class and he's definetly someone you wont forget easily!

I cannot say enough about Jim Mattimore, I was a Business Major until I took his class now all I want to do is English and the Arts. He is amazing. He is the most laid back, friendly, inspiring person I have ever had teach me. Stop reading this and sign up for his class already! You will never regret it. He's incredible!!!

I just completed my last semester with Professor Mattimore. I took him for EG11 & EG13. There are really no words to describe how GREAT he really is! His classes are stress free, hardly any work and all fun! If you can get into his class you must take him!

Prof.Mattimore is an excelent professor! He is funny and sensitive. Class includes little trips arround campus, some writing are in class but most you do home. No tests no quizes, only silly quizes about many different things. Please Respect him very much !

He is the best teacher ever. Trips around campus. Not hard work at all and he even offer you snacks, pens, pencils, ect. Can be easier than him.

Professor Mattimore was one of the greatest professors to grace his presence at Suffolk Community College. He is such a kind and gentle spirit and will be missed by thousands and thousands of former students. He was such a joy to have as a professor, and boy, did he LOVE his students.

I had Jim for 2 English classes in 1982 and 1983. I selected him at the advice of my neighbor who had him. I was glad I did. He as always happy, energetic, full of funny jokes and short stories. He was unique. He seemed to love to be in class. I had a great time at Suffolk. Dowling teachers were horrible. Wished Suffolk was a 4 year school !!

Today was the anniversary of John Lennon's death. I was driving to class when I heard and upon arrival Prof. Mattimore had cancelled class and wrote that he was available to speak in the cafe. I never forgot that day or Prof Mattimore and how his teaching and soul affected me till this day . Thank you for everything 35 years later.
