uses 10 big words when 3 regular words would do, opens class with nonfunny monologues and i think he has a thing against non-bba's. knows his stuff through and through and excellent at explaining, very good at teaching.

This is definatly one of the best profs at Laurier. He is very helpful and his lectures are rarely boring. Too bad he likes the Yankees.

Funny, gives clear explanations, and generally nice to be around. His main problem is he's so slow. He spends so much time making sure you understand the material that he doesn't finish teaching it. You'll know what he teaches you, but check the text.

Jim is a great guy. His expectations are very clear, and he is a very intriguing speaker. Cares for his students and is extrememly knowledgeable in all aspects of business.

A good prof once he gets past the half-hour story about catching students cheating on exams.

Jim is a great prof because he is interesting and is able to hold students' attention. However, sometimes, he'll spend the first 30 minutes of class marking irrelevant announcements that won't affect your mark. Put that stuff on the website please.

I was a student of Jim's in first year, and then a TA working with him last year, and then again this January. Jim truly is an amazing professor. The care he provides his students is amazing, and he is truly a motivating and wonderful educator. Great work Jim :)

Jim is the man, the BEST prof I've had this term, very clear and knows what he's talking about. He's also very approachable and you can tell he loves what he's doing. Great prof!!

He is an amazing prof.

Jim is a great lecturer and he should be, considering its business he is teaching and in business you will learn the importance of presentatinos. The biggest plus is that the questions on the exam come exclusively from his lectures. But if you are incompitent at taking lecture notes, you will fail, perhaps. Repeats key points and gives many hints.

Jim was one of the best teachers/professors I've ever had. Yes, the midterm is supposed to be tough, but it's possible to ace it if you just work a little bit. Can't say enough good things about this guy, I hope he teaches for years to come and that I run into him in the upper years.

Jim is the type of Prof that you mould your class schedule after. He's an entertaining "dude" who can teach well. When you are in his class, it feels like one of your buds is teaching the material

Probably one of the single greatest lecturers I've listened to. VERY helpful (send him an email, he responds in great detail, and fast) Midterm was challenging, but definately do-able. I suppose it was kind of ment to separate the men from the boys! There is no excuse not to get at least an A if you listen/ do the work.

man...if i could have one prof for any class it would be jim, the guy is amazing, he makes you want to go to class...wow is all i have to say...hats off to you buddy

Awesome guy! Is fair and is extremely specific in telling us what is on the exam. The tests are challenging, but possible to do well if you study enough. Great lecturer and is funny too.

He is a nice guy. Midterm is extremly hard so make sure you study study study for it...i actually get it back today and am terrifed to see how i did...but yeah he is a nice guy, always clear about whats on tests, and interesting to listen to. It would be nice if he just got to the point every once and a while but other than that hes a nice guy:)

Attendance in lectures, definitely mandatory as this is the only place Jim pulls from for exam questions. If its from any of the readings he will tell you, gives a full exam review of what to study. Amazing prof, and a great way to start the BBA program at Laurier!

Attend all classes cause there are white board notes. Memorize everything to do well. I spent 1 1/2 day memorizing and I got the top mark in my lab for midterm(75.5%). Final exams suppose to be easier and is free marks.

Lectures were fun & interesting, but attendance is definitely mandatory since he likes to use the whiteboard (not available for download) and that's where Jim gets most of his exam questions. If it's from the readings he will tell you and gives a full exam review of what to study. Amazing prof, and a great way to start the BBA program at Laurier!
