This class is unorganized & a ripoff. I shouldn't have to pay $80 for a site that directly goes to him, & does NOT make sense. When you're confused he says to not bother him with emails and ask other students. WHY ARE YOU A PROFESSOR THEN? Instructions are SO unclear, shouldn't take me an hour trying to decipher what the assignment is. RUDE. AVOID.

Im writing this after spending 4 days on one assignment just trying to figure out what to do. I have tried emailing the prof with no response excel "just watch the videos". This professor provides us with his extremely low quality website that we have to pay for, to go along with videos that half the time do not relate to the assignments.

Although I currently have an A in the class, this course is just all over the place. The assignment instructions feel so misleading and I consistantly spend hours trying to decipher what to even do. If you're looking for an elective I would look elsewhere. Not a great professor :(

The professor is very unprofessional, often not replying to emails or just telling you to ask other students for help. He's also very passive aggressive. The instructions he gives on assignment are very confusing and makes the assignments harder to complete. He also makes you buy his course that's $80.

Professor Munchbach is straight up terrible. His lectures are useless, and he expects us to know exactly how to use his low-quality website, which has resulted me in a bad grade on the capstone assignment.

Bro told me he was gonna make me a millionare by 50, and all he did was give me mental breakdowns. Literally just don't for your sanity, trust. Took me literally all week tryna decipher his word puzzle of canvas intstrcutions. Tells you to use GroupMe for questions and not to bother him, but literally no one answers. Just don't. Naur. Avoid. The reviews for this professor from the last 2 semesters are the most accurate. I'm not sure why he has such a high score in the first place. I ended up dropping the class because of the confusing instructions and I kept getting 0s every assignment. I was taking FINA 3332 the same semester and it was easier and more straightforward than this class.

Honestly, this class was an easy A despite mostly all assignments having very unclear instructions. Btw he offers extra credit if you turn in the assignment before Friday 3pm. Additionally, you are required to buy a $80 course and must watch his 1 hour lecture videos so you can complete the “class collaboration” part of his assignments.

This is being written after the first assignment, so I am not fully sure how the rest of the course is going to turn out. However, The thing that irritates me is that you have to pay $80 for an online course that in theory teaches you everything that the course SHOULD teach you. Next is that grading and its' criteria are very confusing. don't take.

I should've listened to the recent reviews. Dude is such a bad professor. Extremely passive aggressive with students and unclear instructions on assignments lead to 0s in the grade book. Joke of a prof. Hope he enjoys pocketing all that money from students though!

This is one of the easiest courses anyone could've ever taken at UH. The formatting of the homework instructions can be confusing, but he'll give full credit as long as you attempt to include all details mentioned. Make sure to turn in the homework early, as you'll get a 20% boost in your grade and his feedback. Will definitely retake this prof.

Genuinely one of the best classes I have taken at UH. It was annoying to have to buy his program for 80 dollars, but it was worth it because of how simplified and easy everything is. I would legit take the class again, it was very organized and easy to follow. He always responds in a timely and quick manner. 10/10 would recommend

Makes you pay $90 for his superior to Canvas website just for you to take screenshots of quizzes that could be done way faster and easier on Canvas. Useless website, don't even know why it's there. Good luck figuring out what the assignment is. Just trying to understand the requirements for an assignment takes 2 hours. Would not recommend him.

Coming from a STEM perspective, this class was very useful yet easy. I'm really glad I learned about personal finance, and hope to continue to employ what he taught in my life after graduation. 10/10 would recommend before graduating, especially if you have never had much financial education at home. Professor Munchbach made it a good class!

This class has been one of my favorites so far. The professor clearly cares about what he teaches and has lots of experience. This class is great because of how it teaches you how to use finances in your personal life. Weekly homework that is engaging but not difficult. If you just try then your efforts will be reward.

Very knowledgeable about personal finance and teaches lifelong lessons. The course setup can be confusing, but his YouTube videos explain everything clearly. They will guide you through every assignment and save you! You still have to read! (good info). Truly cares about his students success! I had account issues and he really came through for me!

Pros: No tests, the material is out early, the grading was very lenient, (if you submit assignments by friday at 2pm, you got 10/50pts for free) Cons: I genuinely struggled with the website formatting and CTAP does not cover his class. This class will suit you if you're independent as a student, and you will be rewarded if you write well.

One of the best classes I have taken at UH. The professor is nice and cares for his students. Plenty of opportunities for extra points on assignments, but you do have to put in the time and effort on them and follow instructions!!! I highly recommend this professor if you want to get a good grade while also learning about your own finances.
