Most will say that the lectures are boring, untrue. Regardless of the major that is being pursued, Noggle goes out of his way to make the subject interesting for students by assigning current events work and such, at the same time makes the it challenging

Professor is very knowledgeable, makes student earn his/her grade. Lectures are not in boring. He takes his time in teaching and is one of the few professors who will always respond to any questions in a very quickly manner.

I went into the class knowing nothing and came out with a lot. Very helpful and really tries his best to make sure that his students understand the material.

The material in this class is difficult and there is ALOT to learn. However, Noggle does everything he can to give additional help. He has a little A.D.D. when giving lectures, but there is alot of material to cover. He's generous with points. the best thing Noggle's class offers is ENTERTAINMENT VALUE.

Majority rules, Noggle is a great teacher.Only like one person dropped his class. That's a high retention rate for an accounting class. If you didn't do well in Noggle's class it's time to change your study techniques. This instructor goes out of his way for his students and provides you with all the materials you need to succeed in his class.

Accounting 1A is an extremely hard class if you did not take a prep class for it or have no idea what Accounting is. I would recommend reading the course description first before attempting to enroll in this class, most specially if you are taking it with Jim. He is a very good professor but you have to be a RESPONSIBLE student to do good in class!

If you have no idea what a debit, credit and balance sheet is then do not take 1A with him and complain that you did not learn anything or you could not get his teachings. Take 200A first and you will not be disappointed. His class are not boring at all and he keeps it interesting with real life, business situations. NOT AN EASY "A"!

I took this class w/o taking 200. And i got an A. His test are really easy, mult choice questions come from the quizzes, quiz every wk, drop 3, 3 test, 1 final, one EASY internet project, and ALOT ALOT of extra credit! Very interesting teacher. The subject is straight forward. He is very direct and forces you to learn the material is is a plus. There are 3 unit tests and quizes for each chapter except 12 & 13. The greatest teacher I have had in LBCC. He is very organized and clear. He gives a lot of extra credit, encourages group study. We have a quiz every week, but it is really helpful. Jim is a great teacher. I used to feel that Acct is really hard. But he makes it really easy to understand. Ppl may not like the way he keeps repeating the lecture, but the fact is he just tries to make sure everyone understands. Quizzes and exams are on average level. If you study the quizzes, exam should be easy if studying the quizzes and notes.

Mr. Noggle is an excellent teacher and it is obvious that he truly cares about his students. I wouldn't necessarily say his class is hard, though the material is challenging. To earn an A, just keep up on the homework, take advantage of any extra credit, and take notes.

I took Jim for Accounting 200 and 1B. Jim makes you earn your grade, but he's really trying preparing students for upper division courses. This professor will help you if you dont understand the problems. He gives you online Hwk so you can practice at home, and he goes over the hwk on the next class. Lots of math details, nothing like 1A. This is a class of high analysis. Professor is GREAT! Might be a little inpatient at times, but he will stop to make sure that you get it.

Professor Noggle is the reason I declared accounting my major. Extremely passionate man in a sweater! do online quizzes early for extra credit. In-class quizzes are normally out of 13 with possible 15 points. Tests mirror the take-home tests. Repetition is his emphasis and its how you get through accounting. OMG the extra credit in Noggle's class is unreal; By the end of the semester, I could have missed the final and gotten a 95%. One of the most caring and passionate professors I have ever met. ACCTG 1A is a 5 unit class so you will have to work hard but Noggle is very fair and he offers tons of extra credit. Go to class every day, do your homework, and study for the tests and you will get an A. Tests are closely knit to the study guides. Take Noggle before he retires!!
