What can I say? He is an excellent teacher. Exams are not very hard, just make sure that you take notes. He says that 85% of what is in the midterm comes from his notes.

Jim is a fantastic business teacher. Highly recommend him for any business class. Is nice, fair and hilarious. His Harvard teaching style is very effeective and you gain lots of helpful education u can apply to reality.

This was an easy class. Always predictable, makes you adjust to his class better... just talk in class and he'll give u a good mark. Don't just sit there or else he'll call on you when u least expect it.

very fair,interesting content, test are easy if you read your chapters and dont miss class! there is always video questions that show up on exams. Lenghty project involved so get people you think you can work with ( dont worry he will guide you through it

His class is interactive and fun. If you want to get an A, read the text since alot of the MCs are straight from the book (He doesnt even change the wording!). His short answer questions are from the class lectures. Great teacher, great class, RECOMMENDED

What you see is what you get. You know EXACTLY what is going to be on the exam, it's up to you to study appropriatly. In our class, every team got around the same grade on both the presentation and the project (between 80 and 88). Sometimes humorous too.

Jim Tehranian is the best instructor I ever had at Kwantlen University. Practical and insightful, I always found his expertise useful to managing organizations

Jim is really funny. He turns the boring stuff into funny stuff. I really like his class, he makes me never wanna skip haha. His note is clear, and exams are based on notes. He's a reasonable markers. Overall, he's great prof. I learn lots of stuff other than class stuff from him.

he's got a nice butt but also a great teacher w/ wierd humour. organized notes, easy midterms & fantastic hints about the midterm rather than reading the whole book.

He is a HARVARD educated MBA. I don't care what any one says but to have a teacher from HARVARD teaching at Kwantlen is very cool.

Awesome guy. He gave everyone as 'A' on the final group presentations. Don't get scared from the course load in the first couple of weeks of class. I think he scares ppl so they drop the class so he has a smaller class to work with. Very nice guy and I totally recommend him. Too bad there aren't more teachers like him around.

A funny old guy with a Persian accent. Lectures are interesting but you gatta read the book to get what he's talkin about. Midterms are really easy. He gives 2, 15 mark questions that he discusses in class. Explains in detail what he wants. No hw. One major project worth alot. Find some nerds to do ur work for you n ull be fine ;)

He's a very good prof that teaches you a lot of stuff that pertains to real life when he lectures. You have to make additional notes yourself though because his notes are limited. He's a pretty funny prof and highly recommend him Just be willing to put some work in.

I don't know about the 'hot' rating, but Jimmy T, as he lets you call him, is a great teacher. He's definitely big on self-directed learning; his lectures just supplement the textbook. The final project was a piece of cake and was actually kind of enjoyable. Take him.

I enjoyed the term with Jim. He is really cool and helpful.

He was incredibly nice... and explained things very well in class. The exams are straight out of the notes he has on the overhead in class. The hardest part is the group project... because there are about 8 students to a group... and the project ends up being about 70+ pages plus a presentation! However I would recommend him... the class is fun!

He helped me to improve my mark. He is freindly with sense of humor. Pay attention to his lectures and you will learn a lot and get a good mark.

This class is all application.You learn a lot that you can use later and build a career and make money.He has lots of industry experience and it is up to you to get it out.

TWO WORDS. HARVARD MBA. For a group of Kids raised in Surrey attenting Kwantlen to be in the presence of such an accomplished person just for the sake of having a conversation with him is worth the 400 tuition fee.

Great prof. BIG on self-improvement. Fair marker. Must attend every class to get participation mark which makes a difference between A and B grade. I missed two classes and ended up with B+. Got 65% for participation :( What? For 2 classes? Anyway, amazing prof, funny, actually punched out block of wood for our presentation, fun class, enjoyable.

Really good prof. During the first class he may intimidate you, but Jim is one of the smartest profs at Kwantlen. He manages to make a seemingly boring subject seem interesting and makes the class entertaining while at it. Midterms are pretty easy if you read the textbook. Unfortunately, attendance counts.

To get an "A" in the course, the secret is this: do not cram, study every page of chapters&class notes;then exams are easy as they come. The term project was a killer, but with get Jim to chk you're work over; then, high chance of getting an A

Best teacher ever! He knows his stuff and lectures are super short and interesting. Uses real life examples to help understand the concepts. The project isn't hard as long as you find good ppl to work with. TAke him and you'll ace it!

Jim is so good in explaining with all the good examples. I am so glad he is back. I am really enjoying the course .

It was one of my first classes out of high school so i was a bit intimidated at first, but hes a nice guy really. Sometimes he acts like a hard ass lol, but he makes the class interesting. Work hard on your group project and study hard for the exams and you will be alright hes a fair marker.

Awesome prof. Kind of scared of him in the beginning, but started getting used to "hard exterior". Loved the course! Super interesting, and loved doing the group project!!!!Super practical in future business courses.

While he is a decent lecturer, the course is, IMO, poorly designed. 3 hour classes are ended much earlier for "group work" that is intended to give students time to work on the term project. While this is fine, outlines are poorly written and objectives become quite subjective/murky. Jim forgets things he didn't cover in lectures and (claiming he has) puts them in the exams as long-answer questions. For a "world-class" business prof, he rarely answers emails. Maybe it's the Harvard mentality

Jim is very clear and straight-forward with his teaching materials and concepts. Midterm and final are consistent with his lectures. Group project takes quite a bit of work, but if you put time and effort into it throughout the term, you will for sure get an "A". All you need to do is come to class, pay attention and participate.

He is pretty funny, and we watch videos in his class. He lectures for an hour, then its group work. The group project is a big pain especially if you are paired up with a bad team. His class relies heavily on the project, but the class overall is more than tolerable.

Jim is a great prof! Although his tests are a bit tough, he is an easy marker and is willing to give bonus marks. Be sure to be involved in class by answering his questions; that's how you get your participation marks. It can be intimidating. I wouldn't suggest to take this class in your first semester. The course is a bit tricky to understand.

Awesome Prof! such an easy class. Just show up and take the notes that he posts and you will do fine! Seems like a tough guy at first but throughout the course you realize he is such a nice man! 1 project, 1 midterm, 1 final. not that difficult of a layout. Take his class you wont regret it.

I LOVE JIM! He's so funny and sweet. Heads up for his first class, he will be strict and mean but throughout the term, you'll slowly see him warm up to the class. Participation marks are not only attending to class, you need to answer his Q to get 10%. 1 MT 1PAPER 1PRESENTATION 1FINAL. Try to be on his good side and you'll do fine in his courses

Jim's an amazing guy. First day of class you might find him intimidating, but he just tries to make things clear of what he is expecting from you. But is very draggy and takes time to get his point across. Midterms are a breeze, make sure to take notes in every class. Class participation is graded of high regard ( 15% of your grade )

Jim's a hilarious prof and quite easy going. If you take this course remember attendance and participation matter and are an easy mark towards your final. Group project accounts for 25 % with heavy emphasis on solving a case and finding a solution, make sure you have detailed responses for a solid mark. The midterm and final is based of the notes.

Favourite teacher by far! Seems scary at first, but you soon realize that he's actually really nice! Participation matters, but he gives many opportunities to earn marks. One midterm and final. One group project that lasts the entire semester, but it's very straightforward and he helps you through it. Highly recommend Jim, he's a funny guy!

I took his class based on his other rates under the name "Jamshid" and he isn't that easy. He's nice and funny but his tests are just so hard, they're so hard that he made our class's final only 55 m/c questions bc the first exam out of 100 was so hard and the class average was way too low people scored 32/100 on the first one. He's nice but hard

Jim's a great guy and a good teacher. The class is pretty interesting. The best thing you can do is make sure you read ahead in the book and take good notes in class. The group project could be a lot of work if you have a bad group, but its not hard work. Jim comes on strict in the first lecture, but by week 3 you'll love him.

he is the best instructor i had so far .... i mean he is really the best teacher , his way of teaching is good ... he is not only there to teach you about the course but he will give you lessons for life ... moreover his class is super fun .... must take him once

He is Fantastic Professor Please do take his class. You will never be tensed in his class, his lectures are very good and he is a very good grader. I got b grade without any effort. His papers are all MCQ's
