Dont get me wrong his wise, but his explains like his speaking to his peers, doesnt use PowerPoints to organization his information.. but gives a lecture straight from his head.. If you like challenging instructors His a good one, if you want someone more organized and understandable.. its not him.

He does make you put in for the grade! I have never done well in science but as a returning student I needed to pass. I failed 2 test but attended every lecture/lab and turned in everything he asked for at the end. He is out there and teaches as though we are are biology majors. He wants you to pass, just attend and put in the work and you'll pass

Professor Wolf has a different way of teaching, which I found difficult. I asked many questions, but still was confused. His lecture are very important, his lecture is what the exams are all about, no need to read the book. You need to turn in everything, lab manual, exit exams, weekly lab quizzes. This is not an easy class.

He wants you to pass the class but it just feels very difficult to do so. He teaches a lot in his lectures but it always feel like he starts mid chapter or mid book. I always felt like I had missed some sort of pre requisite for the class and barely got a B, despite a lot of studying and attending office hours.

Prof. Wolf is one of the smartest teachers I have had. If you don't know something, ask. And if it is not clear to you, ask him to bring it to whatever level you need. He is very accessible and values participation. You can't ask for much more. You need to pay attention and show up. If you do. You will learn and do very well in his class.

Prof. Wolf is a character. He's definitely one of the smartest people I've ever met, but sometimes that doesn't translate well to lecture. He's so smart that I think its hard for him to simplify material for us. He drops the lowest test grade and sometimes does take home tests, so that is what saved my grade.

Professor Wolf is a great biology teacher and he is very knowledgeable on the topic. His lectures provide a lot of content and he allows you to use the notes on the test. He gets a lot of hate on this site, but I found him to be a very fair and caring professor. Show up to lab and lecture, pay attention and you are set.

This professor is boring and says he like class interaction. but then make you feel stupid when you ask a question. His lectures lack organization. To take effective notes you must leave lots of room for him to go back and revisit topics and add notes. Avoid at all cost!!

This class was a joke! I didnt learn one thing, and I spent 10-15 hours on his take home exams. DO NOT take him if you dont previously have biology experience. This was NOT intro level material. He wouldnt answer about our grades, tests were impossible, lecture were SO painfully boring. If you love yourself, dont take him.

I took professor Wolf's biology course online due to the COVID pandemic. He's certainly passionate about the subject and unfortunately his scientific jargon sometimes makes it difficult to understand new topics. Also, he often strays into related but irrelevant topics as well. His penmanship isn't great either, so take as best notes as possible!

Really difficult class - nice guy, but his tests are beyond brutal. The only thing that saved me was that classes went virtual and tests were done on paper at home, and open book. Even so, they took me HOURS to do, and required great attention to detail. Really difficult class.

This class was so unnecessarily hard. The exams are very tough for no reason because what he lectures about seems simple up until you get to the exams. The study guides are useless. My advice if this is your last option to take a class is to get a study group. This is the only reason I passed because we taught each other.

He rambles in lectures, doesn't review/talk about anything on his tests. Couldn't read a thing in lectures. In 2 weeks, we had 4 tests that were a minimum of 250 points; questions weren't relevant to any of his modules and you couldn't review your answers once submitted. There was no consideration of a pandemic/effects or his students in general.

A lot of people are saying the teacher is hard but its the subject in itself that is hard. He really makes it as simple as possible and lets you retake quizzes and tests so you know what youre getting wrong. I took his summer class so Im sure a lengthier course will be much easier. Come to class and be very aware of deadlines.

good person bad professor. our exams would touch on many thing that were not discussed in lecture. and after he would not let us see what answers we got wrong. labs were fine and not hard but his lectures were insufferable. could not stay on topic to save his life unless its osmoregulation. not to mention his wifi issue on the very first day

Whatever you do, do NOT take his class in the winter. Professor Wolf is a good guy but his teaching style and how the online class operates is downright stressful and overwhelming. You don't have to read the entirety of the textbook, but make sure to learn through the study guide. It's really more about choosing what you SHOULDN'T study.

Terrible class and awful professor. His class if not general biology based. There is a lot of chemistry, organic chemistry and biochemistry topics included.Seems like someone wanted to teach chemistry but was stuck teaching bio. If you ask for help , he denies it.His labs are half assed, with terrible examples. He’s a pathetic excuse for a prof.

AVOID HIS CLASS !!! Is really an old school kind of professor and is very disorganized. His lectures are very heavy and he only writes on the whiteboard and his hand writing stinks. Puts half the class to sleep and won't tell you the days of the exam. Doesn't update grades at all. During lab everyone tries to figure out what to do on their own.

Professor Wolf was an absolutely awful professor. He constantly repeats the phrase "We're not in a hurry, but we can't fall behind" and it's the most IRRITATING thing. His tests kill your grades. His handwriting is worse than a preschooler's. His lectures don't make any sense. Stay away from his class guys (if you don't want gray hairs).
