I've had Mr. Jimmy for a teacher 3 times, once each year at WSU. He's a really cool guy! He's a hippie (but don't call him one to his face!) and he loves Tommy Hilfiger clothes. He's into letting everyone be themselves. Go into his classes with an open mind and you'll have a great experience!

I found both classes very informative and eye opening. If you are open to hearing ideas that are not what you are use to then you will do good. He works hard to help you understand how you should be writing. I think the reason for the unstructured class is to get away from high school thinking.

Jimmy is by far one of the best teachers I have ever had. One thing I enjoyed about his class is that he also does the work that he gives the class and with every paper everyone has an oppurtunity to meet with him and discuss your paper. Very cool and down to earth. I really enjoyed his class.

This class was basically 2 free credit hours. There is literally NOTHING that gets turned in at all- it's strictly discussion-based. There's not a lot of structure to the class and it feels like nothing gets accomplished, but Jimmy is an AWESOME guy. If you just need credit hours, take it... But try to bring a friend with you!

Jimmy will encourage you as a person, encourage and criticize you as a writer, and let you be yourself, no matter. His classes are fun, his instruction is intuitive and informative, and a quarter in one of his classes is priceless. Mr. Chesire keeps it as real as you are. Loved the class. He's not an easy grader as some people have been saying, you really have to work and focus on your writing. Make sure you are up to date on grammar/puncutation rules. Keep your conferences with him and take his suggestions to heart if you want to get "A" or "B".

Jimmy's a great guy but he won't push you at all. You can get by with doing precious little, but he also understands when there is a legitimate problem. He certainly has a diff. perspective that other people on creative writing. You should take this guy at least once, but beware, unless you are motivated you won't learn much.

I didn't really like his class at first because it was seemingly toooo easy, but once I figured his strategy, I loved it. Mr. Jimmy really helped me with my writing and it was great to have creative freedom for once. He is unorthodox in his teachings, but it's a class I'll never forget or regret.

Great teacher! Don't let the stuffy business writers fool you, he may be opinionated, but he listens and respects every student he has. Some may confuse the open and relaxed atmosphere of his classes as being lax and unstructured, but those who believe that are probably not very good at pushing themselves to do work, and therefore need someone to.

he is easy, but you learn. he takes a very creative approach that gets you interested to the point that you come to class, even when you absolitely do not have to. get an A without trying, but that isnt the point. overall... he is great.

I took this class my Junior year in High School. Very easy. You can do all your work online if you want and only show up for exams.

Jimmy is one of those professors you will never, ever forget. He loves discussion, loves when you GET something, loves to hear from all sorts and all kinds and whoever wants to step up to the table. Before you know it, you've learned things that stick with you for years.

He was definitely a crazy guy, and hilarious. I only had two papers the whole semester, the first one was graded harshly but I ended with an A so I can't complain.

Really nice guy! We get off track sometimes and talk about other things, but its generally funny and relaxing. This course is generally small so were able to joke. Jimmy can be kinda gullible so it's easy to skip an assignment's due date or just any class and claim to be sick. He calls off class for a week multiple times for conferences too.

Jimmy is amazing! He has been my favorite professor by far. He really loves his students and enjoys getting to know them at a personal level. Very clear with assignments and ready to help you if you need it. Gives great feedback. I would definitely take this class again!
