Great teacher, I highly recommend you take him if you have english 015. He allows you to rewrite all essays until you are satisfied with the grade and his lectures are always interesting. Occasional quiz on readings (no more than 40 pages at a time)

This guy is awesome! He's young, well-read, open-minded and an overall wonderful professor. His assignments aren't boring, and his classes aren't LECTURES, they're DISCUSSIONS. He wants us to build our writing and reading skills and really like Eng!

Jimmy Pack an amazing teacher. I never fall asleep in his class because he makes it soooo interesting. He can make the worst books have a whole new world of meaning! His essays are actually fun to write! He makes it perfectly clear what he expects from his students, and its not above and beyond.

Great teacher! Complains a lot about the world and society and about our generation, but I loved it! He was so funny. You can hand in your essays over and over with corrections and everytime you'll get a higher grade. Take this class with him to learn a lot more than English.

Awesome Professor! He's so good that students had dedicated a fan club of him on Facebook. He's quite a critic of students' work and everything else. You will learn a lot from him. Can resubmit your easys many times, very fair grader. Just do your reading assignments, go to classes, and keep at it with your papers and it's an A.

He's a very amusing teacher but intimidating at first (When he says he's going to light you on fire he really isn't, he just wants you to shut up). Class participation really helps. He lets you re-write your essays until you get a good grade, so you actually LEARN!

HARD... if you dont read you will fail. so make sure you read if you dont show up you will fail well actually if you have more than 3 absences he drops ur grade a whole letter. dont be a student that just goes out to shop when ever ur supposed to be in class. I hated Abington Campus but I love Jimmy Pack. His classes are always so funny and interesting and thought provoking as well. I had him early in the morning but I never ever had problems with staying awake. His class is also not hard. pretty easy. He lets you resubmit papers as many times as you want. very very nice.

Jimmy is great! Had him for Eng050 and he always made class so much fun! He is hilarious and makes class worth going to. All you need to do is show up to class, do the work and participate...A LOT. Participation is worth 40% of your grade. Definitely recommend taking this prof!! Best college class ever!

Amazing guy. Super smart, knows his stuff when it comes to writing. He is flexible with what you choose to write, I wrote strictly non fiction essays all semester, you don't have to write poetry or fiction of you don't want. Easygoing, funny, and fair. Participate! Jimmy is a great professor and is very "real" with his students. He wants his students to come to class and participate, otherwise, it'll be a long class period. You'll have to read a couple boring books, but all the papers are fairly easy.

If anybody has anything bad to say about this guy's engl 015 class then wow. He's probably the best english professor period. He lets you re submit essays and then gives an A. Not only is he a must take professor, but he also is great to talk to during class and interact with. If you have to, you can submit essays as much as you want until you get the grade you want. He is such a great teacher! I loved his creative writing class. The classroom environment is great because everyone gives feedback on your stories and it helps you become a better writer.

Honestly this class was great. He's the best professor I've had, tells amazing stories that ALWAYS wrap back around to bring us on track and will teach you more than just things about English. He's understanding, fun, and made 3 hours go by in a breeze--even when I was starving an hour in (haha).

Jimmy must be one of the best inspirational person you can ever meet. Hes the man who relates lecture with real life stories. He not only teaches the class about the stories, but also how the stories relate to us. I would say hes one of those typical rare professor you'll ever encounter. Eng212 was an amazing time! You really learn a lot about writing, not just writing the requirement and getting a grade, but actually learning how to develop your writing skills. You also get great feedback, both from the professor and class. At first it may seem intimidating, but your work is never discouraged and the class is a great time!

Great professor, very helpful, really wants you to learn. He lets you know about the research paper early so you have the whole semester to work on it. Make an appointment for his office hours if you have any questions or need help with anything.

Jimmy is an amazing teacher but he is a tough grader on the papers. He allows you to revise them which helps a lot and tells you exactly what to fix to make your grade better. The final is a 15 page paper on Route 66 which is a little extra.

Excellent professor. Take his courses if you want to improve your writing.

Honestly I love this class, it was fun and it counts as an art credit! If you like writing stories, I recommend it. You need participate in class discussions cause it is a workshop where you critic and edit your classmates stories. If you listen to Jimmys advice and take note of corrections, you will do well! Took Jimmy many semesters ago, and he has still been one of my favorite professors. One of the only classes I fully enjoy going to. He does go off topic and share opinions, but makes the class interesting and more of a group discussion so its not a lecture. He also allows you to revise your own papers for a better grade so you actually learn.

He is definitely one of the best professors i have ever had. He is very passionate and strong headed on his opinions and will argue so well that you will know his point of view very well. He also did workshops that helps you understand what your work needs to focus on. It's very easy to get an A in the class as long as you do the work. Don't wait!

Jimmy is awesome, he's a liberal guy. so don't bother bringing up trump or anything conservative or he's willing to argue. he is very particular about his views of society and nothing you can say or do will change his mind. as for assignments its very easy, write on a college level and pass. He's also a great listener, he cares about his students.

Jimmy Pack is a funny dude, he is also quite ruthless when you make stupid or snarky comments, so keep that in mind. You read a couple books and write a few papers. Just pay attention in class because he gives you the main points you should be addressing in your paper. Final project is a short research paper. Put in effort and you'll get an A.

Professor Pack was one of the best teachers i've taken yet. He made virtual classes so easy and understandable. His teaching skills are amazing. He is not a heavy grader or a heavy on giving out tests. He wants to see who you are through your writing. As long as you do your essays with meaning and with passion, be ready for an A in his class!

One of the best instructors I've ever had! He actually helps improve your writing skills by showing pieces of writing that are successful, picking apart why they are, and helping you apply them to your own writing. He was also very lenient with late works and extra time needed on assignments.

I took Jimmy during the pandemic through ZOOM. His makes his class interesting. He explains whatever you ask and helps you with the things you have trouble with. He's understanding when it comes to late work. We had to do an album review and a research paper which were both big writing assignments but he helped us out with the whole process.

I enjoyed the class. If you hate reading or hate pop quizzes, dont take the class. Pack was very nice and always made the classroom a welcoming environment. His class discussions always let everyone feel involved. Sometimes he could get a little too political. Almost every class, he would be talking about politics.

Before his class I had below average reading and writing skills, I now have above-average skills. He is a professor who cares about you improving, and developing the skills needed to graduate college. His class is a must. No other teacher can teach like him, Professor Pack is a true professor. He deserves a grade higher than a 5/5.

Dudes awesome. Papers are heavily weighted but he lets you constantly revise them so its not that hard to get the grade you want. You get like 3 skips and he has days where he just gives off. Honestly went to each class cause it was fun.

Jimmy is a really great professor. I didn't learn too much about the Cold War from his class but terms of writing papers he really teaches you to think critically. There are readings you have to do with pop quizzes worth 40% of the grade which are literal 7th grade quizzes. The 2 papers combined worth 60%. Lets you revise them for an easy A.

2 main papers. he quizzes just to see if you read the book or paper. can't pass this class by reading summaries or skimming you actually have to read but the subject is so interesting the reading didn't feel forced. first paper is about the readings we did and the second paper was about 3 movies we watched about the nuclear war in the 80s

He was really accepting and was very easy to come up to and talk to about issues inside and outside of school

lectures are fun, gotta show up tho attendance is graded. Papers arnt that hard just do the work and youll be fine.

Professor Pack makes class a very enjoyable experience as he often shares his wisdom based off the stories provided. He grades fair and really just wants to help the students write as best as they can. Probably some of the most fun discussions I've been able to witness have come in this class. Great professor!

Genuinely one of the easiest courses you'll ever take. First few classes have you reading short stories and discussing about them. Your two big assignments are a short story (10 pages min) and a short-short (500 words max). Write your stories and follow the prof's feedback, read your classmates' stories and give them feedback, and it's an easy A.

English 213/413 Show up for your workshop!!! Or change with another student if necessary. Need access to a printer (theres some on campus), don't wait to read and critique other students poems. Poems will be read in class and questions will be asked. Be able to take and give criticism. Take advantage of the feedback, workshop, and office hours.

Professor Pack is genuinely so funny. His lectures were honestly him ranting about something random. This was a second session class, so it moved fast, 1 paper, and he gave great feedback on revisions. No technology allowed in class, pen and paper only. If he sees a phone, he'll "crash out".
