Wonderful teacher and very helpful!Would recommend to anyone.
A lot easier compared to JRS in 101. Short assignments and understandable lectures. Didn't open the book once. Some participation points, but you can kind of judge what days you can skip. I would recommend her for sure.
She is best professor ever. Her explanation is so easy and helpful. I got A even I was not that good at first two exams. Her exam is not hard if you prepare enough. Though she rarely gives extra credit, you will never worry about your grade.
The tests are pretty easy. Her lectures usually do not go the full time. In the lecture she will read the powerpoints to give you information but she does work out problems on paper for all to see. There are quite a few points in the class so screwing up one test or HW assignment isn't a huge deal in this class.
Amazing lecturer after coming from JRS. Didn't even have to read the book unlike 201. Class is optional but there are 30 points of participation and if you go to lecture and listen the class is very easy. Lots of homework but it is short and to the point. Doesn't do minuses.
Jina is very helpful if you take the effort to go into office hours. She tries to simplify the difficult coursework in her powerpoint. Study the powerpoints and write down the answers to the problems - this should help immensely for the tests. Tests are half multiple choicehalf workout. Work hard and you should pass with a decent grade.
She rocks!!!! definitely take 202 and any other class you can with her.
More than happy to help and offers a ton of opportunities to help. Offers a lot of assistance in finding work outside of the classroom as well. An absoulutely amazing accounting professor.
She rocks! Best professor I have ever interacted with.
I am an accounting major and accounting comes very easy to me. That being said during lecture I noticed her repeat things in different ways to help the students learn better. I think she is an amazing lecturer and I think she is really someone that wants to help students learn. Very understanding and will listen with an open mind to anything!
I'm not very good at accounting, but she was always willing to help and saved my grade. SO SO SO NICE! I would love to take more courses with her. Online homework, but it is so easy. Any only 3 exams.
She is clear teaching the material and is very helpful. Quizzes in class.
Very easy class
Very helpful teacher! The class is not easy but she makes it easy to learn. If you come to class and follow her lectures you will understand and get the material easier. The tests are reasonable and based most on in class material. You will like this class even it is hard. Spend more time to study lectures and you will get a good grade!
Attendance is taken by group, so if your group is present when you get called on you get the points. This class is a lot of work so be prepared to study a lot for the tests. She tries to trick you on the tests so it is crucial that you know how to work problems with all types of information and don't fall behind in the beginning.
Jina is always upbeat and a great teacher. She used to work in the field for a long time and decided to teach instead. She's just a mom out there teaching. She actually cares about her students, unlike the majority of professors at UNL. One of the easiest teachers to work with I've ever had.
Jina was a great teacher. She was clear in her expectations and makes the lectures easy to follow. Her tests are tough but if you practice the lecture problems that are on the slides then you will do fine.
I took this class while out of the country on a summer internship, she was understanding and allowed me to move my exam times. However, it took her 2-5 days to respond to emails. Do the homework and quizzes, some of the test questions come out of nowhere, some include a lot of extra info you have to navigate around. Difficult but I passed.
Jina is the best professor! During class she would teach and go over many problems and do it in different ways so everyone understood. The exams were to be taken seriously because each question was worth 4pts. Her exams tested you on your mastery on the concept so if you think you could just memorize steps, you're wrong! She'll add in a twist! :)
Amazing professor, as long as you do the homework and go to class, you're all set!
Awesome professor. She cares about her students and is well respected. She takes time to do examples of all the problems that you learn and holds study sessions before the exam. Gives extra credit. Exam questions are worth 4 points each but if you attend class and go to the study sessions, you should be fine!
Jina was fantastic. Her lectures were super helpful and she included many examples of problems in her powerpoints and walked you through them. The homework isn't too bad and can really help prepare you for tests. Not only that, but you have unlimited attempts at questions so they're all an easy 100% to boost your grade. Would definitely take again.
She is an amazing professor who works hard to help her students understand the material. Her lectures are very helpful and homework isn't very hard. She does her best to make the material as easy as possible. I definitely would take this class again with her!
I LOVE JINA. After ACCT201, I was positive I would hate another accounting class. But her lectures are great and easy to understand, and she really puts difficult accounting topics in easy-to-understand ways. She gives a few extra credit points There is a decent amount of My Accounting Lab Homework but nothing too difficult. 10/10 would recommend.
She is a very nice person and you can tell she cares about her students and accounting. Her tests are pretty tough and she will 100% try to trick you. Her homework is very easy and is not sufficient preparation for tests. She offers very little extra credit.
She is very enthusiastic about the subject. She really knows what she is talking about and will help anyway she can if you ask. Gives sample tests before every exam. Look over powerpoint example problems and the practice test thoroughly before an exam and you will do fine. Quizzes are easy and taken within your groups. Would take another again
Jina was an awesome professor. She clearly explains each topic to its entirety. She also gives visual aids to most of the examples which really helped me a lot. I wish I could have her for every accounting class until I graduate, she was that good. If you show up to class and study what she gives you for exams everything should go well in the class
She is a nice person and clearly is knowledgeable about accounting. Her tests though are 25 questions and the majority of the questions are multifaceted story problems. Even if you are in class the problems have so many steps it is almost impossible to remember it all. It seems like only one third of the class knows whats going on.
To be honest, I hate accounting. I HATED accounting 201, but 202 with Jina is awesome. She has helpful slides, reviews, and the homework doesn't take too long. She takes attendance by making sure that at least one of your group members are present. Plus she lets you know when the in-class open note, open group, quiz will be. She's awesome.
Professor Jina Morris is a very likable teacher who shows true interests in her students learning. The tests are a little challenging because there is a lot put into each question. However, if you truly pay attention in class and during the homework, you should pass with a relatively high grade.
Jina gave really good lectures that kept me engaged, which for an accounting class is pretty good. There is homework due every week that is kind of annoying because it takes a few hours, but it helped to understand the material. If you go to every class and do the homework, you won't have a problem passing her class.
Jina is an amazing teacher. Her tests are really straightforward and there is minimal homework, just one or two online assignments a week that you can redo as many times as you want. She really cares about everyone and wants to help you do well. She explains things in a way that is easy to understand. 10/10 would take a class with her again.
Overall I think that Jina is a nice person but not a very good teacher she would give you all the formulas but not really explain why you were doing anything so a lot of the problems I got wrong on tests were conceptual
Jina was a great professor to have, who was always willing to help and very flexible in grading. She gave a hefty amount of extra credit. Her tests can be hard (few questions, more points per question), but as long as you do her review and complete the homework you should be fine. Quizzes were given in class but we knew ahead of time.
May get boring at times but her lectures are useful. Very generous in giving out extra credit. Patient with students when they're faced with problems and during office hours. Flexible and understanding lecturer that will help students out all the way.
One of my favorite professors! She explained things very well during class, but was easy to reach outside of class as well. Going to class isn't needed. The only time participation matters on quiz days and the 2 times she asks your group a question (only one member must be present.) 4 tests that were all pretty easy. She prepares you well.
First off, Jina is a great person. However this class is hard. Be ready to memorize A LOT of formulas. Her slides aren't helpful at all without answers. She will give you formulas but not really explain what you're doing. Half the time, the majority of the class has no idea what's going on. Exams are TOUGH. Lots of trick questions.
Jina is an amazing professor and an even better human being! I took her Accounting 202H class through the Business Academy. The course was difficult, especially for those who are not quantitative thinkers. Still, Jina was very helpful and cared for her students greatly. If you are struggling, ATTEND OFFICE HOURS. It will work wonders(:
This is an accounting class, so it is not easy, but Jina makes it fun. The tests are hard and will make or break your grade. Jina is super nice and if you go into her office hours, she'll bump your grade up. Do not take accounting unless you have to, but if you do, take it with Jina.
The tests are pretty hard but shes very caring, go to office hours! Online she doesnt offer as much extra credit so i definitely recommend taking it in person!
Jina will help you pass this class if you show her 1% effort. She really cares about her students, and is by far the most personal and one of my favorite professors I've had in my almost 4 years at UNL.
Best professor I've ever had at UNL! If you work with her, she will work with you.
Jina was great at explaining the material in an easy-to-understand way with useful tips and tricks. I read the chapter before she went over it in class; she filled in any gaps. She was super understanding and offered a ton of extra credit. She really wants you to learn and retain the knowledge, so I don't recommend cramming for the tests.
Jina is an amazing professor and one of the best I have had in the College of Business. She makes herself accessible to every student and really cares about them learning and passing the class. She posts online videos so you don't have to show up to class, but there are in-class quizzes, but she tells you when they are. EC limited and book online.
Jina Morris is an awesome professor and she understands how to teach and the material itself. She is an understanding person and can deal with any problems you may have. The course material may be a bit difficult, but taking it with her makes it much easier!
Jina is the most approachable teacher I have had in the College of Business. She truly cares about our wellbeing and is ALWAYS willing to work with you regarding your grade. She usually lets you average your worst exam score if you just ask her during office hours. Homework is not difficult at all and the content is way easier than ACCT 201.
Super caring teacher. She gets back to emails within a day or 2 and will help you with connect if you cant figure it out! If you put in work shell put in work for you, too.
This woman is a saint. Explains things simply, and truly cares about her students. Most caring professor I've had so far: gives extra credit & understands that you have a life outside of class. Multiple choice exams are kind of difficult, but with a little studying and her help they're not bad. Fair amount of HW but it's easy. Way easier than 201.
Very nice person that goes over everything on the tests in great detail. Unlike some large lectures, she is very forgiving if you miss deadlines and genuinely cares. Also very accessible outside of class through email. Great woman!
Jina is one of the most amazing professors Ive ever had. She is so good at what she does and she CARES about her students!!! She is always there to help you if you need it, do not hesitate to reach out and ask questions if needed. I would most definitely take another class taught by her!
Professor Morris has been the best professor I have had at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She genuinely cares about all of her students! She is the type of professor that cares less about the grade than she does about you learning. Accounting does not come easy to me at all, but she worked with me to get the grade that I wanted. 10/10
I love Jina shes the GOAT
Jina is super nice and caring. She wants her students to succeed. I hated ACCT 202 in general so I didn't spend much time on the class but I still think the exams are designed to trick you.
Jina is easily the best teacher i have ever had at the university. A tougher course in the COB but with having a good routine with class and studying you should be able to pass with an A with a bit of effort.
Overall, Jina is an amazing professor. She did an amazing job of explaining the topics. The class was a little hard, but I enjoyed it.
She is super nice and willing to help but also this was the hardest class I've taken at UNL. I feel like I knew how to do the accounting but the tests made it so I got the question wrong just because of how poorly worded the questions were. If you liked 201 with Steve Hegemann as I did you will absolutely hate this class. Its the polar opposite.
Professor Morris has been my favorite professor in college so far! She has the warmest heart, and is always there to support her students. She makes class super organized and makes it super easy to follow. I loved having her as a professor!!
I have nothing but good things to say about professor Morris! She is such a nice lady and a great professor. I honestly wish all my future accounting classes were taught by her. She really cares about her students and will go the extra mile to see they succeed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The class itself is tough. The Exams are tricky and heavy, so study!
Prof. Morris is the best professor I've had at UNL so far. So caring and makes sure you get lots of practice during class and outside of it. She's willing to work with you when you're struggling and ensures you are set up for success. I would 100% take a class with her again.
Prof. Morris Is hands down the best professor Ive had. She will work with you on everything and has helped me so much. Just ask for an accommodation and she will give one. ACCT202 material was tough but she made it enjoyable. I cant say enough good things about her. If you have to take ACCT202 TAKE IT WITH JINA!
Class is very clear cut, Prof. Morris does a great job with communication. The only issue I had was paying a ridiculous amount of money to be live proctored for each test, this cost should be included.
Jina is amazing! Class is straightforward, and she is always willing to help. She is super passionate and is always smiling. Class material is easy if you pay attention to lectures. Posts lectures online and offers a lot of extra credit.
Jina is the best professor I've had so far at UNL. She cares for each of her students and understands her class isn't everyone's priority. Her assignments are reasonable and work to teach you the material rather than busy work and gives good insightful lectures. She is accessible outside of class as well. If you didn't like 201, you'll enjoy 202.
Took her class Spring 2022. Jina is highly knowledgeable, teaches very well, and lectures are fun. She is understanding and honest. Be genuine with her and she will probably help you out. Not a fly-by course by any means. Come to class every day, engage, actually do your homework, actively process the material, and you'll get a good grade.
Jina is super down-to-earth and approachable. She doesn't put her students down and is never condescending towards them. She genuinely wants to help her students and answer their questions. There are not very many professors that love their job as much as her and she is AMAZING at it. I am really sad this class is over
If Jina taught all accounting classes here if switch my major to accounting in a heartbeat. Tough class but Jina genuinely wants to help students succeed.
Although I found the course difficult, Professor Morris was very supportive throughout the entire course and helped me in every way she could.
She has been my favorite professor at UNL so far. She truly wants everyone to succeed and is willing to work with you based on your personal needs. Her in class examples are super helpful. I actually enjoyed ACCT 202 u like 201 because of how good of a professor she is. She makes it easy to succeed in her class.
Jina was the best professor I had this semester! The class did get harder with time but her slides and practice problems are great for studying and reviewing. Started this class with a C but I emailed her and we zoomed to figure out what I could do to raise my grade. She also responds to emails very quickly. Tough class but great professor.
professor Jina is truly exceptional! She goes above and beyond, always ready to assist students in any way possible. Her dedication to our success is remarkable, and her teaching skills are top-notch. I feel fortunate to have such an amazing and supportive professor.
Took this class online over the 5 week summer session, but Jina makes it very manageable. Her lecture videos, practice problems and quizzes for sure prepared me for the exams, and made me genuinely interested in managerial accounting. You do have to study and understand what you're doing, otherwise you'll do terrible on the exams.
She's a good prof. The makes the test way harder than the hw. If you pay attention in class and do the hw, it is literally impossible to get lower than a B.
Jina is awesome. The class is so easy, and the homework compared to 201 is 10x easier. If you are looking to be handed a good grade like most of you are this is the class for you.
Jina is great at structuring her slides and lectures to ONLY go over materials on the exam. You get to have a front-and-back notecard on the exams and she drops some homework grades and averages 2 of the 3 exams. Highly recommend her for ACCT202.
Took this as an online summer course, so the class was crammed into 6 weeks. Was a very fast pace with a lot of daily homework and lectures. Personally found it difficult since accounting is abstract to me, but managed to get by. I would much rather take this all in 6 weeks to get it over with than over an entire semester.
This professor was great. She does a great job of explaining the material, so I recommend going to her class in person rather than online. There's a lot of small homework assignments, which can be annoying if you forget a couple, but overall I would definitely recommend this class.
Professor Morris is great, she cares about her students' success and does all she can to help. I typically struggle in online classes, but she did great making many resources available with tons of practice examples and explanations. Her exams are very straightforward, and if you study her provided material/guides, it is all there for success!
Go to the lectures because she goes through all the content really well.
she's a good teacher that will work with you and help you out. Also I would not recommend Yuxi Yao for Econ 215
Very easy online class, would definitely recommend!
She is the GOAT
Jina was AMAZING, you can tell that she cares about students and doesn't want one bad exam to ruin your course grade, you have to put in effort to do well, it's a hard class. It's online and has lock-down respondus exams, but if you have a question Jina will work with you and respond fast. Would recommend.
10/10, best prof I had. Actually cares. Just know the concepts and write a summary sheet over each concept and thats what helped me and I got an A. Final is easier then midterms
This class has a similar setup to ACCT 201. Each class, we covered 1-2 topics, and everything was videotaped. We had in-class engagement points in groups every 3ish weeks. Tests are a little challenging, but you get a note card. Lots of daily homework covering the topics we did that day in class.
Shout out Jina she's the GOAT
Well taught acct2 class with plenty of opportunities to pickup your grade if you stumble. The lectures were helpful and multiple avenues for help were offered. I found test feedback only offered via email. This class is well done.
Jina is the best professor that I have had here so far. She makes everything easy and seems to do everything in her power to make her students get A's. She is the opposite of Nam Le, who does none of this.
