Dr. Jawad gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. The only problem I had with him is that he paces around the classroom while giving lecture and goes through the chapters too fast. He is an easy-going, funny, and upbeat guy. I would recommend taking him.

He literally tells you what is on the tests. WORD FOR WORD. If you're struggling with something all you have to do is ask and he will explain it. He's extremely helpful and tries to make the class interesting and makes you print out the notes so you don't have to write everything down (which is really nice). Would highly recommend!

Dr. J is an amazing Professor and he really cares about his students. Attendance isn't mandatory but, he does give surprise quizzes. This class isn't easy but, he tries make it simple for the class to learn. Yes, the material goes by fast but, this is what I expect from a College Class. He wants everyone to pass, makes it crystal clear what you need to do, and goes above and beyond in making sure you have absolutely everything that you need. No surprises. Best science teacher I've ever had at COD. So passionate about the material and very willing to help students succeed. Anatomy is not easy and requires a lot of work outside of class but the way Dr. J teaches makes you want to learn. Plus he's hilarious which makes class enjoyable. Dr J is an amazing professor. Although I was busy with my other responsibilities and didn't study too much, I passed with a B. If I worked a little bit harder I would get an A. He is very helpful. This is one of the professors that legitimately cares about his student's outcomes. He is not going to make it easy necessarily, he will make you work for it, but wants you to succeed. He will give you copious amounts of notes to print out and use for the class. With a little bit of effort, passing this class, or getting an A, should be easy.

Dr. J comes to class prepared each day and will constantly challenge you to do your best. His style is engaging, interesting and continuously motivates you. He has a passion beyond the norm of wanting his students to succeed and that passion is contagious. Through him I have gained the knowledge and tools I needed to be prepared for success.

4 lecture exams. 3 Lab exams. 14 lab assignments. 10 pop quizzes. 1 pathology paper. Gives lecture notes that coordinate with lecture exams (but I still found it difficult). Says what on the Lab exams (every vocab word with pictures, models, and the same cadavers.) Lab is easy points. Paper is easy points. Quizzes suck. Textbook not required.

Teacher is tough but fair. Spent extra time to make sure we knew the stuff we needed to know, even came in 2 Sundays to help the class with practicals! Makes classroom a fun setting with music, funny videos, stories. Got a lot out of this class.

Dr. J is a great teacher. I had him both semesters of anatomy and he is primary concern is his students success. He gives lecture notes to go along with his lectures and constantly repeats the most important parts. Lab time is spent getting ready for the practicals and some sundays he even came in to give us more time. He always offers extra help.

People with negative reviews are crazy! Dr. J is awesome. He is very knowledgeable and passionate, which makes learning from him simple and enjoyable. He doesn't just hand out "A's" though, and you have to put the effort in to learning. But he is always so eager to help that I was able to ask him questions whenever I needed too! Great teacher!!

The student who chastised Dr. J in an earlier review received a poor grade in class because of her inability to ask for help when she needed it the most. Therefore, due to her mistake, she impetuously blamed the professor. Despite this, Dr. J still stands as a resolute teacher. You'll learn a lot and laugh a lot in his class. Take it.

Dr. J is a dope teacher! He's always willing to help his students and push them to work hard because he wants them to succeed. He is hilarious and makes the lect. labs fun, best way to learn. Dr. J is definitely one of my favorite teachers at CoD. He really cares about his students and want everybody to succeed. Test are tough but if you study and work hard you'll do great. Anatomy is a hard course in general so you really have to work your butt off in this class to get a good grade. Dr. J is a phenomenal teacher and he made anatomy easy for me. He gives out real life situations that gave me a better understanding of the course and he has his own ways with mnemonics which actually does help remembering the terms.

Extremely fair. Dr. J tells you exactly what he expects, and if you don't do it, that is entirely your fault. It's a lot of material; you have to work to get an A. Part 1, I had Dr.J both first and second semester for A&P and I LOVED him, I LOVED his grading and teaching style and most importantly the fact that he truly cares about his students. Dr.J takes time out of his own Sundays to come into school to help go over the material on the lab exams, he wants nothing but to see his students succeed...

Part 2, Dr.J doesn't count attendance against you for lecture days but you would be pretty stupid to not go to lectures considering he goes over what's going to be on the lecture exams (who would've thought). Dr.J also throws in a few pop quizzes during lecture days (pretty much a free 10 pts). Dr.J is truly the best professor I've ever had.

I started my Nursing Program after taking Dr. J's class. Thank you to his teachings/examples/rants/etc.. I am more prepared than my classmates. I didn't realize how much he was preparing me until I started my nursing program. His in class examples of clinical experiences, his knowledge of anatomy and physiology helped me a lot. He's respects and 1 homework which is lab exercises and 1 paper where he gives free points. he goes back and forth until you have made all correction and then gives you free 50 points. However attendance is mandatory if you do get late to a class and there's pop quiz you will loose points. however it has taught be to be on time which has helped me

Dr J is a dynamic and motivational lecturer. Attend class and participate! Remember you will only get out of it what and how much you put into it. We made a study group within the first couple week of class - everyone studies differently and not one particular way is correct, but key is everyone must contribute. Read the directions! I just needed to come back and say how blessed COD is to have him. He is enthusiastic and prepares you for the real world. I transferred to a top 15 university after COD and I would take Dr. Jawad over any of my science professors here. Do yourself a favor and take him. You’ll get the grade you deserve in this class.
