Do not take this professor. He will read off of premade slides and not explain any of the concepts. If asked to do the practice examples on the whiteboard he will not explain at all what he is doing and leave an unreadable solution. Tests are extremely hard and use extremely niche integrals.

If you take this class with Dr. Yong you will be teaching yourself the majority of calc 3, this is the first class that truly gave me a run for my money and I believe that with a better professor i couldve understood the class more. He just reads off of powerpoints and does no problems with the class and the exams have very niche problems.

Differential Equations is a fascinating subject. Take anyone else In favor: Replaces lowest test with final Homework is good bump (20%!) Against: Not the best teacher, reads off PowerPoint the whole time Doesn't work through examples in class, only shows the answer (often the wrong answer) Attendance is 3% ex cred so I did homework during lecture

Truthfully the worst professor I have ever encountered. Did not answer a single question asked of him, or really explain anything. Words cannot express how terrible this professor is if you struggle with calc at all. I hate it here.

I would rather chew off my own arm than take this class again. This is the worst professor at UCF and I had to talk to the department head about this. His grades rely almost entirely on tests. He does not care if you fail. He refuses to actually teach, doesn't answer questions, and he ends class an HOUR early for no reason. Avoid AT ALL COSTS!

I couldn't understand him, and he laughed when we asked questions. He seems like a nice guy but he grades very hard and the tests are even harder. I would never take him again but I've learned to go on rate my prof before picking a class now.
