Prof Gangaram is just too adorable. He's super hilarious, super caring and will go out of his way to help you. Pop quizzes on homework so you gotta go to class regularly, though he doesn't take attendance. He explains the material in the most crystal-clear way and creates a very question-friendly environment. A quite lenient grader also. 10/10

Dr. G is an extremely excellent math instructor. He used to be a comedian so his classes are extremely fun. If you have any questions, he will more than gladly help you out. He makes sure you know what you will be tested on. I would love to have him again as an instructor.

He's really nice and caring. His lectures are super clear and organized. I hope he would teach higher level math :D If you're able to take Dr. G, you'd have no trouble acing the class. He even sent me a note asking why I hadn't shown up in the exam after the first 15'.. Would take him again any day.

I wish he teaches all other math classes in GRC. I would have took him for my current math class. Its so easy to get A+ in his class. He's super helpful and caring. Even, when someone don't need any help he still make sure his students are doing good in his class. I just have no words for him. He should teacher all Calc. classes. THE BEST TEACHER!

He is funny, but helpful and caring. You can try to take his class. He will drop few of your lowest quizzes and homework grade. And also give some extra credits. He is friendly too and give a lots of help. You will never meet any professor like him! He is awesome!!

The content that he teaches is clear and easy to understand. He makes class really entertaining as he makes jokes time to time. Assigns enough HW, gives plenty of practice on content so that you get it. I took him for all of my pre-calc classes! For quizzes/exams, I recommend studying from your HW rather than just the questions given as a guide.

Jitendra is an excellent teacher and it is very easy to pass his class with a 4.0 as long as you show up and ask questions. Unfortunately, he is not teaching MATH&142 next quarter. Tests are very easy; make sure you study the material on the practice tests! They are almost replicas of the tests themselves besides having different numbers.

Dr. G is super chill and hilarious. Although he doesn't necessarily explain, give proof, on why mathematical equations are true, he will work at the classes pace and undoubtedly help you if you need it with thorough explanation. The syllabus for his class to obtain an A is very simple and fair. I would absolutely take another course with Dr G again

He is a really funny guy and a great paced teacher. So many math teachers can be slow and tedious but he is snappy and to the point, yet never too fast either. I really enjoyed his class and definitely learned a lot without all the baby steps inbetween.

My favorite! Makes everyone laugh; classroom feels relaxed yet productive. Explains clearly and in-depth. All HW on Wamap. No textbook needed!! He prints handouts for you. Understanding and receptive of students' needs. Very accessible outside of class. Tests and quizzes graded overnight. It's clear that he wants all of his students to succeed

Jitendra is such an amazing professor. I had a fun time in his class. He made the class easy. He doesnt assign too much homework. If you do all the homework, you wont have any homework on the weekends. So inspiring, and Im going to miss his class. His practice tests are just like the real ones, just the numbers and graphs are changed.

Is this a Math class? On the first day, he started with jokes, that was when I knew I would love his class. Very kind, he walks you through all the work and is always available during office hours. Also, he encourages you to make use of extra helpful resources for extra credit :) THE BEST!!

Best Math prof. Has really good sense of humour and makes learning math really fun.

One of the best math teachers I've ever had! Dr. Gangaram is very thorough with his explanations and offers other methods of solving problems that are not in the text and easier to use. Even at 7AM he is full of energy and always making jokes. Tests are the exact same as the homework and pretests and he give as much partial credit as possible.

First he is a great teacher, second he does not care if you go to class. He gives tons of extra credit on tests.

I struggle immensely with maths but from day 1 I enjoyed his class & actually wanted to come to class everyday because of how well he teaches and the care he has for his students. He made the class a lot more bareable. The syllabus itself can be a lil overwhelming but if you show up to class regularly, you will do ok for sure.

He loves helping his students who dont understand and is always making sure we get it. He is very accessible outside of class and his format is very easy to understand. If you listen to the lectures and do your work its a very easy class to pass.

I took the online version of math141. It was one of the easiest math classes ive taken. Mr. G takes time to explain and makes sure everyone understands the concept. You can reach him outside of class and he responds to emails within minutes. The math was sort of complicated for me but having this class made it a lot easier to understand.

This class had to be the easiest math class i took. Dr. G took his time to explain everything and was just a fun teacher in general. Accessible outside class and was helpful with giving more time for some assignments. I would definitely take his class again!

I have never understood math in my life, but Gangaram really explains everything step by step. I have never had such a great math teacher. If you don't watch the lectures you will definitely suffer in this class, so make sure you do. I recommend this professor even though he has slightly misogynistic undertones in few of his real life math examples

I absolutely loved this professor!! There was homework every week and he uploads lectures to help understand the concepts. Make sure to read your textbook and use his office hours to get help!! Hes always willing to help. Theres also quizzes every week. His tests are extremely difficult so make sure to study. Best professor Ive had!

Enrolling during the pandemic was a bit of a scare to me. I was worried I was not going to have the proper amount of exposure to the work to completely comprehend what I was doing. Professor G however, made the class very easy to follow by making personal videos to each assignment and explaining in detail all the steps I needed to understand.

Mr. Gangaram is an amazing teacher. He cares for his students. The lessons are all very easy if you watch the lectures he posts. There is a weekly discussion which is very easy if you do your work. I recommend taking his class!

I was dreading taking online classes BUT this instructor's course was very structured and was helpful during his office hours. If you do the homework, you should be fine. The quizzes were not challenging BUT the answers are not online:). I wish I could take Calculus with him:(

He isn't a bad teacher but his teaching method is not great. He briefly goes over the math terms and rules then shows you how to do the homework. The problem is he only teaches you how to do the HW. You don't learn much bc you only know how to solve HW problems and not be able to apply your knowledge. He doesnt teach the general concept

I have taken many instructors but Dr G's lectures helped me a lot. The textbook is very well written and is FREE, and only 3 chapters are covered:). He would give you a lot of shortcuts in his recorded lectures . The Quizzes/tests are practically the same as Practice Quizzes/test . I wish he was teaching more classes. Easy A

One of the best instructors at GRC! Weekly quizzes, homework, 1 midterm and Final exam- that's it. His lectures are perfect and you do NOT need to read the textbook at all. Take him and you will not regret. My brother also took him long time ago and is now at UW- his standards are about the same there. I wish he was teaching math142 next quarter.

I took this class with another instructor and did not pass and now I am taking it with him, and I am passing with an excellent grade. 50% of the grades are Homework and Discussions. Everything is on Achieve software and you have UNLIMITED tries. . Quizzes and tests are multiple choice, and are quite easy. If you fail , you should blame yourself

I heard nightmare stories about this class but DR G made this class easy to pass. Homework is 50% of the grade and you can easily get 50%. Test and quizzes are multiple choice and very easy. No projects. Easy A

The coverage was quite extensive in the class BUT Dr. G made the weights towards homework. 40 points was homework with UNLIMITED tries. You also got 10 points for viewing the online lectures. The quizzes and test are mainly multiple choice as well.

Excellent instructor and final exam was quite easy. If you fail you have yourself to blame. Other students I met struggled because they were lazy and don't want to put in the effort. I am not the best at math, yet he made this easy for me! The self grading system he uses is encouraging for online classes. Depending on you and your class feedback questions, I chose the ratio to be higher on homework and discussions since I get very nervous on tests/quizzes. TAKE HIS CLASS! Math turned from my least to my favorite!

Hybrid class was awesome. He explained way better than the text and class participation was 10% of the grade. He tried a new thing called Grading something- we decide on the weights for assessment- I loved it. I am bad at tests and less weight was placed here. More weight was on homework, which was easy. If you don't know the answer put Seahawks!

You could not have a better professor. Really good lecturing and endlessly helpful, the only way I could imagine someone doing poorly is if they don't do the bare minimum to learn. Very flexible as well. I really can't stress how helpful he is enough, he gives you so many helpful ways to practice and study.

Dr. G provides great analogies and examples to help understand the content. He allows the class to distribute the grade weights by class vote. The lectures can feel long at times but are very helpful and offers help individually. Expect weekly quizzes/online discussions, one midterm, and one final. All of which are from the homework.

I've heard that this professor was once very terrible. Although, when I took Math256 with him, I found that he was much more lenient than his previous classes. He listened to our feedback and gave us a lot of extra credit. His quizzes were challenging, although you'd always get a second attempt on it. This professor was great!

This was the most wonderful professor I've ever had. I was scared of going into stats because I had trouble with it in high school, but Dr. Gangaram's lectures were extremely easy to follow and the homework really helps you understand. His grading policy and format was extremely unique, in that he lets the class pick how grading and tests work.

Super nice professor! He keeps us updated weekly and lets us know what's coming up, drops the worst quiz grade, and responds to emails fairly quickly. Quizzes and tests should be easy if you've completed the homework and made an effort. Would definitely take this professor again :)

Talked to lots of kids who have taken him over covid and all of them said his class was super hard, but I think his grading style has changed a lot since then; we get to pick how much each grade category is worth. Content of the class is surprisingly easy only complaint is that it takes a long time to figure out the software he uses for the class.

I advise you not to take this class during the summer term as it is almost impossible to complete, there are more than 20 chapters, discussions, quizzes, exams to study and complete. I almost had to study for nearly 10 hours a day. But professor has created a lot of conditions for me, I think you should definitely take this professor's class

Easy class if you are up to it. He is very responsive and if you take the quiz by Friday, you will know which questions you got wrong and then try again. Final exam and Midterm only 15% and all multiple choice. Make sure you are a Seahawks fan:)

Not good in math but this hybrid class is the best math class I have taken and he waters down the content at my level. I am understanding so much! Very generous with grading

He respond relatively fast, however you learn through textbooks and I decided not too watch his videos and did just fine. For coursework there there's 3-5 homework assignments a week, 7 quizzes, 6 discussions. discussion post criteria were confusing and sometimes the test does not relate to the coursework but at the end he drops a few assignments.

Good professor difficult class. He drops a lot of bad grades but there is a heavy amount of reading and homework. DO NOT FALL BEHIND. You will never catch up. Stay up to date each week and ask questions always. It will get very difficult around chapter 5. He responds fast and is actually nice just a hard class.

I had him for MATH& 146. I'm not strong in math however did really well in this class. Set up VERY well. Clear expectations. For coursework there's 3-5 homework assignments per week, a discussion post, and a short quiz. Homework is worth most of your grade, so do it. Midterm & final only worth 15%. Most quizzes & exams are multiple choice.

The professor is pretty cool and lets you decide how much assignments are worth. However, I did not enjoy this class even though I usually like math classes because I found the Stattutor assignments for extra credit annoying (but it's hard to learn without them). If you like statistics, I would recommend this professor.

Never received an A in math before. He made the content very easy and understandable. Very funny and well organized class. Lots of extra credit as well. Students decide the weights in the class, which is cool. Definitely take him

This professor is amazing he is nice and you get to decide how things are graded and the class weights on the first week. There are discussion posts, and a few quizzes. The midterm and final were all multiple choice and there are even practice tests for extra credit. If you are planning on taking this class I highly recommend it.

Just took the Midterm so waiting for this before I rate! Quizzes and big exams are all multiple choice and most questions are from Homework. Very responsive to my emails. His videos are better than the text and the software Achieve.

Loved this class! you can go at your own pace for the HW (not quizzes or discs.) but beware since the homework is a good amount & can pile up easily. VAST amount of resources provided & quizzes are easy & ACTUALLY follow the HW. you get to decide the grading rubric so honestly just try and you'll be fine! - from someone who STRUGGLES in math

Very nice and very open to feedback! Best math class I have taken. I took online so coursework was light. Quizzes you has 3 chances, test just one. Discussion were hard and grading was unclear. Only negative is test and quizzes don't look like homework. Make sure to have a TI-84 calc before you take class.

This is one of the best professors I have ever had in my years of being a student. He is very considerate about his students and lets you choose your grade weights based on your classes' choices. He offers extra credit towards the end and all homework is due whenever you want it to be. Overall I would take him again for sure!

You will learn everything yourself. Make sure you read the book and watch the lectures. Homework is wamap, watch the wamap lectures that go along with the homework. It will help. Midterm and Final are not wamap. He makes up his own questions. Great teacher who is very generous about grading! Your Awesome Mr. G!

Super understanding if you have something going on and can't make it; really chill with his grading as well (let us decide the worth of our exams/homework/ect.). Also offered a lot of options for extra credit. 10/10 would take him again!

Took this class online at another college and bombed! Decided to take it onsite and it is making a whole lot of sense. Text is terrible but the way he explains stuff in so easy terms, I will never forget. First time i aced a math exam and I knew what I was doing :). Take it onsite if you can, if not, take it online with him. He is very funny!

I could not recommend his stats class enough. It's SO easy and he is so nice and understanding about any questions you may have. I only read the textbook once, the rest can be learned through the homework videos. lwk funny too

His class is more than manageable if you keep up and actually study the content. I took online and it was easy to keep up and go over anything I struggled with. Offers easy extra credit and is super responsive and helpful in emails and grading! Your grade will reflect the effort you put into the class.

Took this class summer last year, fully online, it was a bit hard because I took it in summer. If you want to take his class, don't take it in summer and take it online. Very easy class.

I cant really speak on the professor as it was an online class and you could legit go the whole class without having to speak to him once but he was always available if you needed. The class it completely self paced the material can be challenging but there are plenty of examples provided and you get unlimited tries on the homework.

One of the most applicable class thus far. The Midterm was easy and he is great teacher. As someone below mentioned, if you are lazy, you will struggle. If you do the work assigned, you will do just fine. Watch his videos, much better than the text.
