She is a very interesting, informative, and inteligent woman. It is an easy course because her objective is to make you aware of the major issues women confront in the world.

Great person. EASY course about women's struggles, AND it's a cultural diversity one. This is the one upper GE that EVERYONE should take. Videos, in-class social activities, AND you leave class (3hr) early every time.

easy class, once a week. takes attendance. only two tests. or one project. up to you. watch movies. and learn bout womens issues. dont take it if you lookin for chicks. many women in class, but dont look for the hook up

Excellent teacher, loves her job and it shows! She intelligentally shows the plight of women in a cool and sophisticated stylish way. A positive role model for the WS dept.

Very nice lady. 2 quizzes (20 questions each), 1 interview paper. The class is fun and taught from a feminine perspective, so be prepared to learn with an open mind!!

So Easy. Take this class if you need a break, but be warned if you're a white male. She gives excellent perspective but can come across a little abrasive. Tons of great movies.

Great prof, very good at showing the other side. I'm male and enjoyed the class. Only complaint is that Jacki tended to mix a lot of opinion with fact without clarifying which was which. East to do well in this class.

Good upper division G.E. class & counts for cultural diversity requirement as well. Interesting movies. 2 extremely fair quizzes and one interview paper. Gives study guide and lecture notes via email.

White, Corporate, Male Hater. Very liberal. Gives her option to much vs. the truth.

Easy class. Two 25 question mid terms and one easy interview paper worth 40%. Watched a lot of movies. Blames white males for problems of today.

The most boring class. Watched explicit movies, and her tests are pretty hard. If you're good at taking tests. then this is the way to go. If not, take another class

She is soooo nice and funny! She is not against white people at all! I don't know what the person below is thinking! She was so sweet and nice to me! I would always talk to her before class and she was very understanding and sweet! The class was very cool

Great class for men or women. Emails chapter outlines in great detail so there's no need to buy the book. 1 interview paper, easy A. She is not a male hater at all. She is interesting and open to others opinion. Great teacher, great class!

Ridiculously easy. No need to buy the book. Just study the lectures. Not a male hater at all but she does talk about white and black people as much as she talks about the male and female gender. You'll see.

She knows her stuff. She relates the material to real life situations. Her movies may be graphic, but thats why she does her disclaimers. She is NOT a male basher. She will make you aware of things you'd never noticed before. A good class

A tough lady on the outside, but very cool and interesting once you get to know her. Give it a couple weeks before rating her - your opinion will change. The interview assignment was an extremely enlightening experience. A good class to take as an exploratory GE.

Simple tests, fun paper, interesting class, easy to get an A if you pay attention. go to class attendance counts. this class was a break from the rest of my class load -awesome professor!

I really enjoyed her class, she has a great selection of films,her lectures are very interesting,she is every flexable.Your attendance can hurt you if you do not show up for class.You can look forward to straigth forward quzzies, one interview paper and earn a A if you work at it. It's that simple.

Easy class! Went over 8 of the schedualed 15 chapters. Instead saw a lot of movies. Left early most of the time.

What an amazing class! I only wish every teacher could be that passionate about their work. She really tries to get you to open up to new things. Tests are easy, 1 paper that you actually WANT to do, lots of class participation & you get to watch movies. Best class I've ever taken!

she makes the material easy to understand and interesting (so you won't have to worry about falling asleep in her class). 4 tests (more like quizzes) and a paper -- easy!

This was by far my most interesting class of the semester. I learned tons and actually enjoyed coming to class. It was very insightfull, especially for being one of only a handfull of guys in the class. Highly recommended.

Jacki is one of the best teachers at State. Her tests are fair and easy. I learned so much in this class. We watched a lot of interesting movies. Take her!! you won't regret it!!

I went into this class skeptical but came out learning a lot and with a more open mind. Although I think she comes on a little strong and had the feeling she was trying to make everyone white and/or male feel guilty about it, I believe everyone would benefit from this class. Women's Studies classes should be required for everyone!

I really enjoyed the class, the only problem with it is that she is very repetitive. She talks about the same themes continously throughout the semester. Don't need the book, quizzes are easy and you'll write 1pg paper (hard grader). Also watch lots of movies. Easy GE class!

Such an amazing professor! Jacki Leak loves what she does and it definitely shows. Three tests and one paper. Interactive class activities that involve standing up and moving.

Didn't open the book once and passed class with A. Go to class and make sure you print out power point notes to review in class and you will do fine. Class was very informative and the movies were for the most part interesting. One interview paper that was fun and easy.

Great professor. Easy class, 3 quizzes and 1 final, 1 interview paper (very easy), watch lots of movies. I learned alot. I recommend taking this class.

She is great. No homework, lots of movies, interesting lectures. 1 8 pg paper. not difficult at all. She is a great teacher and the class is very interesting

She tells you all you need 2 know 4 tests. 8 pg Essay is easy, warning dont procrastinate. She lets you see example essays. Class is all powerpoint & movies. Peeps who miss class miss points on tests. Also, gives xtra credit. She gets to the point, no circular talk. Love her, wonderful teacher, wish there were more like her.

The class is easy, I took it CR/NC but I regret it because I could have easily gotten an A. My class consisted of 3 pretty easy tests (I didn't even read or study, and i got B's on them) and a 7 page paper (which she said in the future is going to be extra credit). I'd say take it, pretty easy A.

One of the best professors @ state hands down! Extremely passionate and her drive rubs off on you. She opens your eyes to things that we so easily overlook. Easy tests, fun lectures, easy paper, fun and moving movies, and an amazing professor. What more can you ask for? If you have an open mind and are willing to learn, then TAKE HER!

Take it for easy GE credit. I got a B and that was because I am a procrastinator with horrible study habits. I didn't always agree with her views and she kinda likes to be right. But like I said, stick it out, especially for summer school and you will be fine. Don't even buy the book. She's all powerpoint!!!

I am a man that took this class. Initially, she comes off hard but her tests are easy. New this semester is community service or a research paper. Choose the community service it is alot easier and you guarantee yourself a better grade. Go to class because she takes attendance. Do the extra credit. I got an A! dont listen to the other comments.

Fairly easy class. GO TO CLASS - she takes attendance everytime and gives out points at the end of the semester. READ THE BOOK - pay attention in lecture and you should ace every test - I did. She grades hard on the research paper so i reccomend doing comm. service. good teacher and intresting class.

Im taking her right now. i havent finished the class but she is a very very nice lady and has a funny sense of humor. I dont know how she grades yet... but she makes the 2 hours and 40 mins worth while. i enjoy the class actually i dont think i have ever laughed so hard in class until her. :)

The most own to earth teacher you'll ever meet! You should leave her class a different person, seriously! Don't really need the book..tests are based on her powerpoints and in-class movies and she likes "all of the above". Takes attendance..so go! Final isn't cumulative (we all love that)..overall: 3 testina good atmosphere..good experience.

No, Jacki doesn't have a hatred toward the world. True, she has a strong personality, but she's amazing. Totally chill, really passionate about what she teaches. EASY tests, offers amazing extra credit. Takes attendance which goes into your grade. A study guide for each test. If you know everything on the guide, no way you can't get an A.

Everything they say is true, but if you really want to learn something, don't bother with this one. It's geat for an easy 3 units, for sure, but there is no academic value. Sweet lady, funny, sincere.

Great teacher and very easy class. She is a little on the radical side but take everything like a grain of salt. Very helpful and dedicated

By far the BEST TEACHER EVER!!!! Her Psych 325 class was extremly interesting, and her teaching it made it even better. She makes you aware of things you never notice, and you walk out of the class feeling that you learned SO much. I love her teaching style - you print out the lectures and fill them in. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HER!!!

i was suppose to be expecting an A not until the i found out she failed me on the project big time... be careful not to sound against women in your journal... its kinda unfair because you are putting your own opinion but if you sound against women you definitely fail the journal!

Very nice person, respectful and candid unlike many professors. Encourages open discussion, doesn't silence oposing views like someone else wrote. Research paper is most of the grade, topic is open and makes it fun. Easy to get an A if you stay engaged and come to class.

Very funny and interesting to listen to. Attendance counts for a good amount of points, gives extra credit opportunities, and the tests are relatively easy. She has very strong opinions which seemed to bother some of the guys in the class. I would recommend her if you're planning on taking this class.

This class was great. attendance is mandatory. If you dont go 2 class she will deduct participation pts. Class is very interesting so you'll WANT to go. tests were easy. I NEVER READ THE BOOK and I just downloaded all the notes from BB and studied b4 the tests. I got a B. Would have gotten an A but I missed a lot of classes! SHE NICE, FAIR & FUNNY!

I took this class online and it was not easy. Ridiculous amount of reading which did not cover all the material on tests. The study guides were very misleading and she was not that helpful on the live sessions. You are better off on your own and will do good as long as you do all work. Got a B never attended the live sessions or read the whole book

class overall was easy, tests are online and there are 4-5 easy papers. Prof Leak does not follow her syllabus dates for assignments. Her test is based on lectures so u have to go, and 1-2 questions are from the book. An easy class if you pay attention during lectures,dont underestimate easy classes are usually the harder ones :)

I took it online. Easy class overall. Low stress. It's an easy B. The TA takes FOREVER to grade the assignments! The OL lectures weren't mandatory to attend which made the class great. If you really want to not think about this class, take it for CR. If you want an easy A (but not online) take GEN S 420. It meets the same requirement. Good luck!

Took her summer online class. Easiest class I have ever had. I never read the book, just went over her presentations. Just had 1 one page paper and discussions. Easy A. Great topic and she is very helpful. One of my fav classes so far!

Jackie's pretty cool. She welcomes open discussions and opposing views. Took her night class, attendance is mandatory. All assignments and tests are submitted and taken via blackboard. The tests can be a little challenging but I finished the class with a B. Nice prof, easy-going class. Take her!

Took her summer online cLass. Pretty easy straightforward material. Three exams, 25 q's for the first two and 50 q's for the final. A short one page paper and silly discussion board respoNses. The exams can be tricky.. She does the all the above, A and C, B and D type of test. Know the material well and you"ll be ok

Took the summer online course. Great class to take for upper division GE. Professor Leak is awesome and makes everything easy to understand. Test questions can be tricky, just have to read the book and listen to the lectures and you'll do great.

Good online class. 3 tests, discussion board ever few weeks, one paper. Tests were pretty easy. Didn't attend every lecture, but looked at all PP slides. Book came in handy many times too. Pretty easy class if you are familiar/good with online courses and can discipline yourself to remember and do all the work.

Very Funny, interesting, passionate about what she is teaching. Easy A or B if you show up to all classes and listen to lectures/ notes/ and def. the book. You need the book,alot of the test questions come from the book and not the lectures!

Took the summer course. lots of reading, but it's not too bad.I found some of the exam questions to be tricky. She likes to put the (all of the above) type options in a lot of the questions. Other than that it's a pretty chill and do-able class. Also the course material is pretty interesting. Learned a lot.

Easy online class. Used lectures and study guides for notes and had the book available when taking tests. Exams are pretty easy and the end project is also relatively simple. Weekly discussion boards/responses are pretty interesting but can also be annoying. Easy class to take for upper division GE exploration.

HER CLASS IS SO INTERESTING, I LOVE HER, SHE IS SO PASSIONATE. HER CLASSES ARE MANDATORY AND HER TESTS ARE ONLINE (SEMI-HARD)AND SHE HAD SMALL WRITING ASSIGNMENTS! TAKE THE CLASS!!

Easy class. I did not really watch the lectures to be honest. For the exams (2 exams, 1 final) I just read through the book and made a study guide listing the page numbers so I could look up every answer. Be sure to keep on track with the discussions. She is very strict with those. Essay is easy. Rent book from KB bookstore.

Easy course. Had close to 100% of the 400 total points. 1 extra credit opportunity worth 10-15 points. 2 tests (25 questions worth 3 points each, 2nd test had 3 bonus questions worth 1 point each), 1 final (50 questions 2 points each, 3 bonus questions worth 1 point each), 50 point assignment, 90 points for discussion board participation.

LOVED this class, i learned so amazing things and the teacher kept it interesting the whole time! i seriously considered minoring in wmnst after this class! easy test questions just gotta skim the chapters before the test and look over power points, gives study guides, all tests are online so its not hard to pass them, easy A.

Took this over summer, the text book is exactly that, a text book. chapters are 25-30 pages, interesting information, but she basically says the exact same thing during the power points. Provides study guides which are directly related to the exams.

This class was really interesting! I loved the videos she had made us watch and our assignments were graded in a timely manner. You have to read the book in order to do good on the exams.

This class might not be the easiest, but certainly pays off in the end. You don't have to watch all the online lectures, but you probably should study for the exams. Exams can be very tricky, and the discussion boards are graded harshly. Just put in work and you'll be fine! I ended with an A. (I encourage you to meet up for exams)

very interesting and educational class.I took it over summer,and was very hard.Book reading is a must, discussion boards 2 a week, 2 movies every week,online lecture..its hard to keep up, a lot of work.exams are ok, but some question required to remember very small details from chapter.Good, passionate professor, but tons of work.
