the class is easy if you study!! I do not think she is that funny! she goes off on tangents so you stay for the entire class talking about everything else but medical term. I loved the learning part but save social hour for the bar!

She is pretty funny and she does go off on her own little discussions that have nothing to do with the class and it gets old fast. But the class itself is very helpful and easy if you study.

great teacher. loved her. really understood the material and she made it fun. I liked her discussions on other things as well. It was fun in her class.

Wonderful person not to mention knowledgeable about what she's teaching. She knows Medical Terminology like the back of her hand. And she really cares about you and is always giving advice on how to live a happier life. If you're easily offended by "sex", you should take someone else though.

I'll admit she's a very nice intelligent and helpful teacher. The problem is she goes off the subject too damn much. I mean the class would be great if we didn't have the unecessary conversations, I really don't give a damn what my classmates or her did over the weekend hell talk about that**** lat

A wonderful teacher who brings great knowledge to her students. If you do the work, you'll get a good grade. Fair and fun. Open to answering questions.

She is very nice woman. She makes the class funny though its kinda boring. The class was real easy be'coz of her. But don't take this class if you don't want to memorize stuff b'coz this class is a lot to memorize. I'm so glad b'coz I had Ms. Moore as my prof. but now that she's not teaching, it is a big lose for incoming students of Medterm.

great teacher. as long as you pay attention in class and read the terms from the book you will do fine. she's funny and keeps the class interesting. and always wants you to have fun!

LOVE HER! It's like going to stand up show every class and getting college credits for it. She's super nice & funny. Do the homework in the text and your handouts or you will PAY CASH. She got $38+ last semester (from all her classes). She loves her subject, love her students, love life, and I love her!

Jo is an amazing human being and an excellent instructor. Take this class whether you need it or not, preferably before Anatomy, Physio and Micro because it will be a great help to you. Jo makes it easy and fun to learn. You'll be ahead of the game.

She is an amazing person. She is by far the best teacher i have ever taken. She truely cares for you and if your feeling a little down, she has such inspirational things she says that just really makes your day. The work isnt too bad. 2 tests a class but you go overit right before so its still pretty fresh. TAKE HER! she was teacher of the year!

Love her! cares for her students funny cusses alot and very androgynous 2 tests a week listen in class tests are simple weekly homework but easy and will help if needed. Goes off topic but its ok because her personality makes up for it won't be leaving early so plan to stay all 3 hours learned alot and I recommend her also gives extra credit.

LOVE LOVE LOVE HER! cares for the student study exactly what she lectures in class and you'll get a A. Absolutely need the book 2 tests every week and homework as well. Will not leave early so eat before you come. She's a doll and is funny. She lectures first and then the test so whatever is in the lecture is on the test. Tests are easy although just pay attention. Don't miss because missing one day drops your grade a whole letter grade

Great teacher, very funny and enthusiastic! Class is easy. DON't MISS CLASS. It penalizes you like no other because it's a once a week. As long as you attend every class you'll pull of a B with limited studying. Wish the class was twice a week instead of once, 3+ hours of learning vocab can be a pain. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T MISS CLASS.

I regret not taking this class before i began my science classes. This course is VERY helpful to health science majors! She's so awesome and funny. She's just a really unique woman who demonstrates her passion in what she does! She is very helpful and goes over the chapter before the test. 2 tests a week. DONT MISS CLASS you will be sorry!

She really cares about her students. She takes an incredibly dry subject and keeps it very interesting. She is funny and engaging. She does everything possible to help students do well on tests and in life. If you pay attention she gives good hints on what is on tests and quizzes. She is one in a million. Impossible to find a better Med Term prof!

Moore, hands down, is my favorite professor a El Camino. DO NOT miss this class or you'll be sorry. She assigns one scantron quiz and a written quiz every lecture. She really gets the terms stuck in your head and is great at teaching this subject. Making a quizlet is the only reason I passed this class. She used to be a comedian so she's hilarious

I love Jo! Her class is super easy if you can memorize things easily. Two quizzes per class but she will throughly review beforehand. I love to hear her speak. The three hours pass by quick. You definitely need a book!

Professor Moore is fantastic. She reviews before every test so you either need to be absent or really not paying attention to not pass. She is super funny and makes learning the terms really fun. Also don't slack on your homework because you will pay a penalty that she donates to a few different charities at the end of the semester.

Honestly amazing professor! She is very inspiring and its never a drag to go to class. You learn so much from her and she's hilarious. Makes lecture interesting. Absolutely loved medical terminology with Jo Moore she is very clear on what she wants you to know for all quizzes, midterm and final. Doesn't try to trick you on any of the quizzes. Just show up to class do your homework and you will pass! The class is long though but time flies because she makes class super fun and has a great sense of humor!!!

She is an amazing teacher. She reviews the whole test before you take it. Her lectures are never boring because of the stories she ties in with them. Also, gives a lot of homework but fairly easy. Overall, great teacher and I wish she taught other classes.

She has to be one of the best professors around. I thought this class was going to be long and boring, but it was the complete opposite. She makes it fun and really cares about all her students. Other professors need to take notes from her because she is amazing.

Medical terms can be intimidating and tedious to look at, but Professor Moore taught us how to break down and understand these words in a simple way. I'm glad I took this course before A&P because she gave me confidence in myself and prepared me for that brutal(but interesting) course.

Professor Moore is absolutely hilarious. Only class where I have actually genuinely enjoyed myself in and truly thought the teacher was funny. She's so caring - not only about her students but about all people around the world. Truly believes in motivating her students. Wish all teachers cared as much as she did! Professor Moore is a truly inspirational person. Her story is amazing and it would be a great opportunity for you to take her class. Her review of medical terms is very easy to follow and she makes it impossible to get a low grade. The homework can get long, but it really helps with your memorization. Quizzes every week but no reason not to pass.

She's an amazing teacher! If I could take her class again I would be honored. Class was once a week 4 hrs long but they flew by so fast! You have to take 2 quizes each class.

Wish she taught more classes at El Camino! She's fantastic and crystal clear on what she expects you to know. Show up for class and you'll be hard pressed to fail.

Jo Moore is one of the best professors I've had in college! She's so helpful, loves teaching, and being a resource to her students. Her medical terminology class was one of my favorite classes and I still have all her notes because its material i would never want to forget! She's amazing! I wish I could have her for a lot of other classes.

SHE IS AN AMAZING PROFESSOR!! I wish every professor was just like her! study, also doing the homework helps but she also reviews before taking the quiz which helps refresh your mind to do better on the quizzes. You'll take 2 quizzes per class. TAKE HER!

This was my first online class and it was great! The homework was really easy and the chapter quizzes were as well. She graded homework, chapter quizzes, chapter reviews and 1 exam. She is really understanding and responds back quickly if you have any questions.

The best, she really cares about her students. She gives us so much need info outside of class ( scholarship info, health info etc). I wish she taught every nursing pre-req class. Her stories are so inspiring and so interesting. Take her and study your med term words, because you can definitely get an A!! Love her !

Prof. Moore is such a great teacher she truly cares about her students. There is a lot of reading and quizzes but they help with her exams. She is very easy to approach and will respond to your emails. Did I mention she is super funny! If you can take her !!

Great professor, she's super funny and tells lots of stories. The only thing I didn't like about this class as that we had homework every week and she only looks to see if you did it, not if it's correct (essentially busywork). Tests were based on quizzes and quizzes were super easy. Don't even need to attend Zoom to pass the class.

She is the BEST!!! Don't paas up the chance to get into her class. And we had to make the transition as soon as Covid hit she made the transition seamless! Super caring professor! Get online and have fun with professor Moore!

Her class meetings via zoom were optional but I would attend because she tells you what words are going to be on the quiz/test. Shes really funny and educated and has amazing/funny stories. Just do the HW and quiz/test. She only checks to see if you did the homework, not if the answers are right or wrong. Lowkey can be better than A&P teachers.

I was originally scheduled to take this course with another professor but dropped to take with Professor Moore. She is hands down one of the best professors I've ever had in my educational career. She's kind, inspirational and just gets it. To anyone looking at going into any type of medical career, take her class. You won't regret it.

This Professor is AMAZING! I took her class over the winter and I would do it again. The class was an easy pass as long as you studied. Jo gives you EXACTLY everything you need for the quizzes and tests. Her class is very engaging and helpful. She really makes sure you understand the lectures. The class is a lot of work, but it is easy!

I just took MEDT spring 2021 and I could not help but leave her a few comments on here because she's so deserving! The most amazing professor I have ever had! She's willing to go above and beyond to make sure her students not only pass her class but also provides tips on how to be a successful student and how to apply for scholarships. Most caring!

Words cannot begin to describe how amazing professor Moore is! This was my final pre-nursing course at El Camino College, and she made the end of my pre-req journey such a positive experience. Professor Moore (JO) is a GEM!! She really made learning the Medical lingo so interesting and exciting. I would take the class over again just to sit and listen to her stories. She's straight up with about what's on her quizzes and exam. Jo if you read these, thank you so much for being so caring.

Wonderful class. Moore is very respectful and kind with her students. Her class is very straightforward. But, medical terminology is not an easy class in itself. There's lots of terms to learn and remember and it got kind of difficult to keep up when two HW's and quizzes were due a week. HW is tedious and long, but you really need to do it,

Professor Moore was very sweet! You can tell she really cares about her students. She helped me a lot throughout the semester and I recommend anyone to get her class! She also sends the class a link to the textbook so we don't have to purchase it.

She is a sweet angel teacher. This started as a live class but she had gotten surgery so it easily turned online. She gives you the textbook pdf so you do not have to buy anything. Easiest A ever.

The class was in person but transitioned to online due to professors health conditions but ALL Assignments are on Canvas. She provides the textbook for you hw is EASY its vocabulary copy right from the book. Late work is accepted! There are 2 quizzes each week, 4 review exams, and 1 final exam 75 questions. Extra credit worth 15 points.

She provides you with the Textbook, you have to do homework and write it down (by hand) and then upload it and submitted it. Her class is super easy, she allows you to submit late work and she will give you full credit (I submitted one assignment that was due November 15th, and she gave me full credit.

she provides you with a lot of extra credit, and she also gives you information about scholarships. Attendance is not mandatory as long as you submit your homework and do the quizzes you are going to get a good grade in this class.

On the quizzes, she gives you extra time to do the exam or quizzes, for example if the quiz has 10 questions, you get 30minutes to do it. Professor Moore also provides you with a study guide, or the quizzes' answers. She often uses the same quizzes' questions for the exams so keep that in mind.

If you have a learning disability I would take her for your Medical Terminology class. She is an amazing professor always wants to hear from her students. The way that she breaks things down and use real life things to connect with the students is amazing because it also helps you remember terminology better. She provides extra credit, scholarships

You can turn in late work and still get full credit. Zoom classes aren't mandatory, but you can always review them at another time. She does offer extra credit & study guides. She also does recommendation letters for scholarships. Quizzes are 10 points; exams are 20 points (don't quote me) One midterm, One final. She can be a little longwinded lol.

I had Professor Jo for MAP 64 and MAP 62. One online and one in person. She is very personable and truly cares about her students. She paid for the test fees and provided a test site on campus to take the NHA Billing and Coding Certification test. That is over and above and I am now CBCS certified thanks to her funding help and encouragement!

My first time ever giving anyone a review I felt the need to express how amazing this professor is as a person & as a teacher. Yes, you obviously have to put in work but it's so easy. Anyone who says otherwise must be lazy. I love her so much, I wish she was teaching ALL subjects, El Camino needs a lot more caring professors like her. -Linda

Professor Moore is an incredibly easy professor. Every week you have 2 homework assignments and 2 quizzes based on the e-textbook which she provides for free. It's a really fun and informative class. It's a guaranteed A if you do the assignments. Can't recommend this professor enough!

Professor Moore is super sweet. She truly cares about her students. Please take good notes, they will help you during quizzes and tests. The work isn't hard. Make sure to complete all of your assignments. She gives a lot of extra credit. I truly enjoyed her class!! Please take this class if you want to go into medicine!

Took Ms. Moore in the summer. Fun, funny and caring professor. If you pay attention and study the terms you will do well in all quizzes. Just study, study and study a lot! Do the homework assignments as well to help you learn the medical terms.

LITERALLY THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER. She is literally god sent. This professor understands that u are a person too. She offers so many extra credit opportunities and she is a great listener. Makes everything so easy to understand and quizzes are straightforward. Spelling does matter in this class, but she does offer partial credit if u get most of it
