Dr. Wu is the best professor! She gives you everything you need to get an A. If you want an A, complete each assignment and study well for her exams. When you study for the exams, do not read the book. Record her lectures and go through each lecture again, take notes again and go through them and the ppt x3. Have all study guide qs down really well

Professor Wu is one of the worst bio professors here. Her lecture style sucks, and she calls on students during class and acts rude and condescending when they dont get the answer right rather than explaining it and walking them through it. She hasnt adapted her class to online learning very well and the format and style is very confusing.

Online lectures are mostly just PP slides, you're often better off learning this yourself instead of relying on the professor to even teach. Some material you're yet to learn may be on exams which most of us failed at. All those low score reviews here ain't unfounded. Take BIO101 or other science class instead. This class makes me sick. 0/10.

I was a little hesitant on taking Dr. Wu for BIO 272 based on her mixed reviews. I ended up enrolling based on the time convenience. She tries to help her students and calls on students during class to try and keep everyone engaged and gives you the opportunity to pass if you do not know the answer. She gives hints to her essay questions in class.

Only 2 months into the semester but frankly she is almost intolerable. Get ready to teach yourself. Bio is not a horribly difficult subject, but she actually makes it worse. She is never prepared for class and has constant tech issues. If you are going to have lackluster slides, then you must commit to being a good lecturer. She is not.

just awful. never prepared so disorganized and lectures never match with tests. not a good lecturer either but relies so much on her "skill" to teach the class. not good at explaining things, wonder how she would do in her own class. avoid at all costs, seriously

The reading material/HW alone does not cover enough to help answer a lot of the questions on her tests and so the rest of them are covered during her lectures. However, her lectures are a pain to follow. She is disorganized and just never seems like she's enjoying herself. Twice this term now she has cancelled her once-a-week lectures. Don't do it.

Professor Wu is a really dedicated teacher. Yes you have to put in the effort for this class. She's really sweet and understanding if issues arise. It's a tough class, but you should expect that when you register. She really wants you to succeed. The other reviews seem a little harsh, but Jo Wu really wants to help you learn

Smart person -but a terrible teacher. One of the most poorly formatted classes I've ever taken. Lectures were pretty much useless. Exactly zero of the questions on the first exam were talked about in any of the lectures. Some exam questions had errors in them, so I said 'F it' & dropped. If the Prof. isn't going to try at all, why should I.

I really want to say nice things about Professor Wu, but it's seriously coming to a point where I'm pretty sure she has no idea what's going on. I have a discord chat with several classmates, and we all noticed that her lectures are on topics that were on the quiz the day before, so we never learn enough material from her for the upcoming quiz.

Okay so she treats this class as a medical school class. If you're not a biology major in hopes of becoming a doctor then don't take her. As someone thats not a biology major this class was too hard. She cold calls and puts you on the spot. She asks for too much. Her lectures are boring and she goes too fast. Expects you to know everything.
