She rocks in psych her tests are text book and her final was a piece of pie with ice cream. She was fun and funny and very nice to everyone.

AMAZING. She keeps things very simple. You know exactly what to expect before you walk into class. She follows along consistently with the textbook. You can pass this class easily by just keeping up with the reading. She's fun and interesting to listen to. Class was never boring.

Class was easy. Little homework, easy tests and an easy final. Also gave lots of extra credit from watching good movies.

BOGGS ROCKS! I had her last semester-- when you first start the class it seems like it's going to be very difficult- it's NOT. She gives you study guides (that are optional) and the same questions are on the tests. She grades very easy and you get a few take home tests and the final is a take home too :) FOR AN EASY "A" DO THE STUDY GUIDES!!

Depending on you style of learning, she could be hard or easy. If your the type that takes initiative, keeps up with class, you will get an A. If you get off track during the semister, it is hard to get back on track and off of that funk.

Prof. Boggs is so great! Her lectures are really interesting, and therefore, you'll be able to absorb the info. instead of coming in one ear and out the other like the other boring teachers. There's movies w/ questions, and the test questions are similar to her wkbk ques. Do the wkbk ques. and you'll def. pass! =)

Took her during the evening hours, & must admit that I have never fallen asleep. Test and assignments were straight forward. No Surprises. Do as you're told and you will get an easy A as I did. Good Luck.

I've taken introductory psychology classes at Loyola and DePaul University and she has been the only teacher to reach out to me. Her teaching style and excitement really grasp your attention unlike many other teachers. I would've gotten an A except for attendance. But my own fault for missing such an awesome class.

First class @ OCC. Very interesting. Great down to earth teacher! You need to study hard but she gives you a study guide prior to the test which is NEARLY identical as the study guide. Attendance quizzes nearly every class! But overall great teacher!

This was my favorite professor in college. She is very knowledgeable on the subject matter. She's very laid back. Comfortable environment. we watch a bunch of movies(like memento and rain man)..Very sweet lady. I learned ALOT. tests are from the text and handouts. LOVES this class!

Teacher is very knowledgeable of her field. She discusses a lot lessons that are helpful in everyday life. The final is 20%, tests are 70% and attendance is 10% of your final grade. Be prepared to read a lot for tests. Accompanying study guide helps a lot in terms of things to know for the tests. We had an open notes final and one open notes test.

Great Psych teacher to have. Very knowledged with the topic. Had her for an evening class that meets once a week, and was not too overwhelming. Fair at grading tests. Just make sure you study and do the study guide, and you will do fine.

She's an awesome teacher. She is very knowledgeable. She's very understanding and cares about her students. All of her exams are essay exams but if you read the material assigned and do the study guides you'll be fine. She's funny and will keep you interested until the last minute. Be prepared to read and for many class discussions. Easy "A"

Boggs is a really cool teacher. Whats great is that her class is really interesting and majority of her tests and quizzes come straight through the book. She can even tell you where. There's tests every two weeks or so and the final is a long take home test. Definitely an A course and teacher.

Boggs, is a very empathic instructor. She designs the course around each classes dynamic. Every test was thoroughly and explicitly covered in class and with assigned work from text. Got an A because I did what she told me. I was free to add as much or little to her requests.

She's a pretty good teacher overall. Attendance mandatory, if ya skip too much you fail. Tests do consist of some things that are taught only in class. High textbook use, but she gives study guides, and if you have any questions she's more than happy to help. She's very friendly, and has great lectures. Go to class, pay attention, get an A!

The study guides she hands out are extremely helpful. She is excellent at clarifying any questions and if she doesn't know she'll admit it and give you extra credit for finding out. she can be very scattered brained and forget about appointments you schedule with her

Boggs is the best psych professor! she has a passion for psychology and she makes it really fun. There are mostly tests for the whole semester which she gives study guides for. all the answers for the study guides are in the books. other hw MIGHT be a short summary of an article but is unlikely. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I LOVE HER!

She is a very easy teacher. There are no assignments at all, just tests. She gives study guides which are almost exactly the same as the test she gives a week later. Its an easy A.

Amazing teacher! Intersting lectures. Only about 7 tests that r really easy. The test questions come from the study guides she gives before each test. Study guide questions r right from the book. Just do the study guides and you'll pass with an easy A. Also one of the tests is a take-home final.Highly recommend that everyone should take her class.

This teacher is a wonderful instructor, who ever just rated her on 11/15 as a horrible teacher, is absolutely wrong! She cares about her students and really tries for everyone to do well in their tests. She is a good professor. She gives review packet and it is exactly same in the test. But you do need to study for it, there are 6 tests in her class. But make sure you do a review session with her before tests, so she will give you points on it. Easy teacher take it.

Sign up for her class now. All you have to do is go to class, take notes and work for an A on the tests. She gave me hints when I was stuck. Her tests are short answer but they are the easiest tests I have ever taken. If you pay attention in class and take good notes, you'll do great.

Prof. Boggs is very fair and an interesting and interested teacher. She uses real life examples and really wants to connect with the class. Her study guides are on the money and she will say in class "This will be on the test" or "write this down" If you do poorly, you haven't done the work. Highly Recommend!

I changed my major to psychology because of this class! She made it really interesting and helped me remember everything for the test because it stuck in your head! Shes super nice and really funny the tests are basically the same thing as the study guides so it's an easy A if you just study outside of class

I HIGHLY recommend her ! Her exams are all essay but they come straight off of the study guide if u do the study guide you will pass the exams !!! She will even go over the study guide if u do not understand concepts

Mrs. Boggs was a great teacher! Although her tests are tough , she does give you everything you need to know in a study guide handout. So in other words if you follow that and your notes taken in class you will do great. She also will help you out big time if you do not understand or are having problems with her tests.

She was the best teacher that I've ever had. She stopped me from dropping her course. She was always willing to give me extra help when I needed it. Even though her lectures weren't always straight forward I enjoyed them she made them fun. I would absolutely take her again.

She's a nice teacher but can ramble on at times and won't be very straight forward. All of her tests are short answers and tough. At the end of the semester she'll make you do a take home final which also takes up a big part of time.

Took this class just to fulfill my humanities requirement and ended up LOVING it. Joan is very entertaining and makes lectures fun and interactive. She encourages participation from everyone and explains everything clearly. You need to read to get the A though because tests are based on book readings but overall great class and relatively easy.

AMAZING teacher, she is super friendly and so interesting. The class is only 1 hr and 16 mins. Professor Boggs is the nicest professor I have had so far and she actually goes into details about topics and will help you out. Just do the study guides and take notes and you'll do fine.

Hands down the easiest class I've taken out of high school. I took AP psych in high school and that was definitely 100X harder compared to her class. The tests are literally off her study guides and some stuff off lectures. No homework/ papers just study guides (which arnt collected). Also the most lenient grader ever! And attendance counts

You have eight tests, one every other week usually one chapter. She posts powerpoints and gives readings for the quiz, but it's not hard. If you do the study guide you will be just fine. These test aren't impossible, she lets you retake one test. She is super nice and willing to work with you. Just talk to her!

Mrs. Boggs is an amazing teacher. Although she may be harsh with her testing method, she really makes you work for the grade and if you pay attention than you will get a good grade. Pay attention to the things she talks about in class, and I would personally recommend going over the notes of the new unit before she goes over it in class.

Fav professor. So sweet + interesting! I hated my hs psych class, but this class made me love psych again. Only "homework" is study guides for tests, which are super helpful for the tests, otherwise, it's in-class activities. She is so willing to help + just wants you to succeed. Professor Boggs is definitely my favorite professor I've had. She made psychology easy to understand and she gave very minimal homework. Never made class stressful, and was very clear about test dates and allowing make up tests.

She provides clear lectures and does in-class activities. Our only homework is study guides for tests (once or twice a month). Taking notes is highly recommended since most of her subjects are on the exams. Prof. Boggs isn't good with tech, that's the only negative flaw of her.

Favorite professor I've had so far. She makes a point to connect with students and appreciates participation in class. Textbook is mandatory - used for work on study guides + lecture content(posted on d2l). Study guides were the only homework and we had many tests (1 every other week), short answer. Take this class if you need Psychology 101. People who are giving bad reviews are the students who don't show up and are negative. Such an easy class the study guide is the exam. Professor Boggs is a sweet lady and will help you whenever. She would push back exams if the class didn't understand the material.

Professor Boggs is incredibly sweet and truly wants you to pass her class. if the class isn't understanding the material she will push back tests. She gives study guides for every exam that essentially outline exactly what material you need to know. not heavy on memorization she just wants to make sure you understand the material.

Shes a great professor who is fair and cares very much about her students. The study guide isnt that hard, but you have to be a little more careful on the tests. Most of the time, she asks questions that are from the slides on the presentations, the in class videos, and discussions.

Very sweet lady! This class was easy as long as you paid attention and took notes. Test and quizzes were only entered. However she gives you two days during the last week to makeup or retake. Final is optional. The test were easy and mostly based on what we discussed in class. She cares about your grade, I highly recommend her.

Sweet lady and although the lectures can be long, she dedicates the entire class period on test days going over the study guides which have some questions VERBATIM on the exams. Never failed an exam and hardly studied, would definitely take it again.
