OMG she is sooo gorgeous...She is very kind, helpful, and understanding..

The way she teachs is not meant for real Computer Science Majors, sorry
Looks good as hell, best lookin professor i've ever had. Decent amount of work, challenging and you definitely learn alot
a great advisor! very helpful, very understanding

BEST PROFESSOR AT SJU. SHE'S ONE OF THOSE PROFESSOR'S THAT TRULY MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND IS A TRUE ASSET TO SUCH A PRESTIGIOUS UNIVERSITY. IT WAS A REAL PLEASURE AND OPPORTUNITY TO WITNESS SUCH DEDICATED CHARACTER. SJU IS NOTHING WITHOUT YOU TEACH !!!! ~ME2
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
yeah, she's gorgeous- never went to class, but i shoulda--

This teacher has the slightest clue about what the in world fiber optics is. I never took her for comp sci, but I hear she's great for that, but Tel classes, you won't learn ****. I got an easy A though when I deserved a C. You won't learn though! HOT!!!
SHES A GREAT TEACHER. LEARNED A FEW THINGS IN JAVA MYSELF. ID LOVE TO TAKE HER OUT ONE DAY ALSO. I GRADUATED LAST YEAR, CANT 4GET THOSE EYES. ;)
Contrary to what the past ratings indicate, she became a really challinging professor. She assigns too much work and the programs are impossible!!! Her lectures do not make complete sense. She expects you to know the material allready. She becametough
DAMNN she is cute nice young and thick...very nice and good teacher..god i cant keep my eyes off her gorgeous and sexy as well!

im taking her for math now but i also too her for comp sci classes...VERY NICE LADY, Beautiful pretty girl, gorgeous eyes as well as a few other gorgeous ASSets...young, helpful down to earth teacher...you wont regret taking her........class :)
If there really were Gods back in the day. The Goddess of MAth would be Debello. Shes a beautiful professor with sick eyes, they make you melt. Oh yeah shes a good teacher also I forgot that part!!
Caring, she is. Looks, she really has. As a professor, good not great. When I took her her tests were not hard nor were they easy. She does help you on the HW. ALthough I here she is getting harder, students may want to rethink on taking her classes.
Very unclear at times. Do the homework and you should be fine.
She is a nice professor, I have never seen. She looks preety and sweet, she gave students easy test all the time, I wont forget how hard she taught me in few semesters.
Is unclear at times. Test can be difficult, must study hard on your own. She is willing to help students. Overall, very mediocre if you ask me.
She's very nice. If you need help, go and see her!! If you're not too good in Math, you WILL struggle. She's gives h/w on a regular basis and sometimes she collects it. Lots of quizzes and like 3 exams. Sometimes can be a little confusing, but she's cool.
Too many programs you litterally gotto do between 8 to 10 programs a week!!! tests are not that easy the only way you can A's her exams is if you do alllllll the pgrammes which at times are a bit complicated
shes a pretty good professor. cares about student progress.
Shes pretty good. Its cool to have a younger professor.
i think she is the best math teacher i ever had,so if u are looking for a teacher who u want to learn from take her...
Very nice teacher; a lot of notes, but easy tests; got an A in the class
she took over for our class when our teacher got sick. she was mean in the beginning but then very nice. she was also very helpful and worked to make sure we did well. she gives a lot of notes but they are very helpful. the tests are exactly the notes she gives in class. very easy tests. i think everyone in my class got an A. TAKE HER!
awesome prof!!!
She was absolutely THE hottest professor I've ever had.
She is very reliable when it comes to helping her students pass the class. I would recommend her to any student that would consider taking math as a class or major.
really easy. really nice. her classes always fill up fast.

Failed the class b.c. of grades. Good teacher and very helpful. She is very nice and I founder her hott!
at first glance of the course name i was scared but she made things very easy and simple..i actually started to like calc III :)did pretty well...she gives a quiz every week and a couple tests but she does prepare you well and knows her stuff..we need more teachers like her
she is a very easy going professor. There was a quiz every friday. The class was very easy and simple. I would take her again if i was given the chance.
Just a great overall professor. I can't really think of any reason not to take her.
just listen to what she says, read over your notes and you will be MORE than fine. 80% of her tests come from old quizzes. very simple and easy going - would be silly not to take her!
Easy professor, very helpful. Write homework on the board thats how she sees if you do it or not. Easy A! Take her!
Probably one of the best professors at St. John's. She grades fairly, explains everything very good and simply does everything a professor is suppose to do. Take Her!!! 1 of the best Math professors at St. John's
Very easy, even too easy. The material is taught at a very elementary level and there is no term project in C++ programming. Gives easy labs every monday, two/three exams and the final is a joke. If your major is Computer Science, look for a harder professor, or for a better major.
Very young but quite helpful
She was alright...you have to do your hw, as well as participate at least 3 times...all her tests and quizzes have bonus questions...if you do your hw, you'll do fine...
one of the best prof in SJU. Very clear abd helpful..she's just absolutely amazing. And did I say she's hot.
She is ok but I think its too much work for a class, quizzes every friday and homework and 3 exams plus midterm and a final. Strict about attendance, she moves through the matierial TOOOOOO fast. I don't think its worth it.
She is incomprehensible. Gives too much work and conceited.
Doesn't know too much about programming, but can be a good introduction to people who've never dealt with the subject. Gives some homework that takes 3 minutes to do and the tests are on the easy side.
Clear, Patient, Kind, Compassionate. Tests are very fair, reviews are thorough. If you attend all classes and do the work, you will succeed. Book helpful, but not necessary. Will challenge those who ask for more, and help those who need it. Approachable. Young-looking, but professional and intelligent.
She's not bad at all. She gives homework every class but usually only collects the friday homework. She gives quizzes every friday with 10 questions and they're usually straight forward. You probably will need the book. She's not bad at all. I got an A.
We need more teacher like her point blank. If you fail her class you didn't do the work or didnt even try. She helps all who ask for it & makes sure you understand everything she puts out. I would take andy course she has FOUR STARS!
first time taking a computer programming class. had no prior experience in writing programs. she taught well and was extremely helpful. 3 exams, gives review which covers what is on the exam, she remembers who you are so don't miss class! online resource was more helpful for me rather than using the textbook
I took the online course. Weekly quiz plus one question on the discussion board. A midterm and a final exam.
awesome teacher!!
I LOVEEEE her. easy the best teacher at sju. shes so nice, kind and beautiful. only prof il miss leaving the school.
Prof. Debello has been best decision I've made in stjohns. Very clear in her explanations, very helpful, she gives you assignments that help you in the course and they are relatively easy, her tests are super easy and she is a fair grader. just make sure you attend class! you want to do well in programming? TAKE HER!!!!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!!
Best programming teacher at St. John's don't take anyone else for programming just wait till she's teaching the class you need. She's very clear, explains things perfectly, gives great examples which truly help you understand the topic, and also gives great test review sheets. She's also extremely nice!
Very supportive professor and incredibly helpful. Her assignments are sometimes a bit unclear or have some typos in them. However, asking questions will solve those problems. She posts a ton of helpful notes on blackboard along with test reviews before every test. She is very creative with her teaching style. It was truly a great experience.
Dr. Debello is a great comp sci prof here at St. Johns. For all you freshman, I definitely recommend taking here for 1115. She will set you on the right path. I have learned how to code thanks to her. She grades you based on 3 tests, hws and participation. I've taken her for 2 semesters and she is just amazing!!
Everything you can ask for in a professor is Professor DeBello. As well as making the class easy as possible your learning a lot. She prepares you with everything you need. Also a nice person to talk to.
Dr. Debello is by far my favorite professor. I took computer science in high school, and didn't understand a single thing; I was hesitant on taking it again in college because I was afraid to fail but luckily I had Debello. She's crystal clear in her teachings, and makes coding enjoyable. I was quick to sign up to take her again next semester!
A wonderful woman who taught me so much about programming and simplified it immensely! Weekly assignments, two tests and a final, and one ASL learning project (either a 5 page paper or a brochure you can make in group). She posts notes and test/final reviews. Pleasant person to talk to, and she's always there to help you in any way possible!
She is an AMAZING teacher. He notes are there and straight to the point. She always gives out homework that resembles whatever you have done in class. For each test there are reviews for them that she will go over in class. The tests are easy if you take good notes in the class. Extra credit is always offered.
She does a great job explaining the material and gives extra credit. Make sure you do all the work because there are a lot of assignments but they don't take that long.
Literally the best teacher ever. Loves her students and is very encouraging. Make sure you use the computers in the computer room or she will be annoyed to have to help you on your laptop. But she is still the best!
Honestly one of the best Programming teachers you could want! Really nice and really good at explaining everything. She teaches at just the right pace so noobs can understand it and people with experience don't feel like class is going slowly. HW is due every week and we don't use the textbook so it's better if you can find it online instead.
Really nice and intelligent! Cannot express enough how awesome she is. Highly respected and she knows her stuff. Teaches at the perfect pace and very clear cut. Gives extra credit questions every test and tests are easy. You have to try hard to fail. If you're just starting in the CS major ask your dean to put you into her class you won't regret it
Dr. Debello is a gem in the computer science department at St. John's. I had the pleasure of taking her for CUS 1115, 1116, 1126. She helps freshman starting out in Java fit right in with no problems and teaches things at a very good pace. I highly recommend taking her if you can, she is THE BEST java programming professor in the school.
If you know nothing about java, then DO WHATEVER IS NECESSARY TO GET IN THIS CLASS!!! I came into Dr. Debello's class without having any knowledge of programming and got an A. She does a great job of breaking down and explaining the material. She also has multiple extra credit opportunities. By far, the best professor I have had at St. John's.
She is clearly one of the best. Her lectures tend to be length but contain great quality for tests/extra credit. You can tell she is very passionate and wants students to succeed. You should get a good grade in her class as long as you put in all the necessary effort. Just take her
Best computer science teacher ever.
Her lectures are top quality. She gives out extra credit, and study guides for midterm. I highly recommend you take her. BEST CUS PROFESSOR in school. She helps you a lot.
She is amazing! She is really nice and her class is clear and specific. Her lectures are really helpful and easy to pass her class if you pay attention. The course is really hard. I had a tough time but she did amazing as a professor!
Do not recommend.
Overall she is great! She does have a few flaws but nothing big to worry about. She is very helpful and does a great job explaining the material. She is definitely the best CPS professor at SJU so i would highly recommend taking her.
Best computer science professor. I was lucky to have her two semesters in a row. If you get a chance, take her, you will not be disappointed. Her tests are a little tough, but she really helps you understand the material. 10/10
I wish all CUS professors were like her.
Definitely a good prof to take if you're a complete beginner like I was. She really helps you understand concepts and has you memorize a lot because her tests are written. There were about 11 programming assignments as well as a couple other minor things. Often times the programming was quite fun and I didn't even consider them as assignments. 5/5
Really good professor, takes it slow in the beginning but make sure u understand everything cuz the material builds later on. Isn't very accessible outside of class. gives lots of extra credit. Tests are lots of memorization but she gives a review sheet. Don't need the txtbk but it helps. Really enjoyed the class. 3 tests, everything is cumulative
She explains the material well and is very helpful especially if you are a beginner and know nothing, just make sure you go to class. She gives weekly assignments to help practice what was learned in class and test are handwritten but very easy if you study the review sheet she gives. Overall she is an amazing professor and totally recommended.
She seemed nice at first but really doesnt teach outside of the textbook. You can learn the same thing by reading the textbook on your own. She favors the boys in her class, my one friend got to know her personally and said she was not all there. Not sure if she actually knows code or just teaches from a textbook. Wouldn't take her again.
Took her class in my freshman year with absolutely no background knowledge of computer science. I loved this class so much! Wished she teaches upper CUS classes. Always reviews before an exam and cares whenever you get below average scores. Most importantly, lots of extra credit opportunities. :)
I had her for both intro classes. She's nice on the surface, but you don't practice any problem solving skills that you'll need to get an actual programming job. Also, she's super busy. I've visited her during her office hours and she makes really passive aggressive comments about how busy she is and that I'm interrupting her
I'm so glad I got DeBello for my first CUS class. She does go straight by the textbook, which most didn't like. You don't need to buy the textbook, she used it maybe twice the whole year and posted the questions from the textbook on blackboard, anyways. The class was super easy and she's an easy grader.
she has very weak programming skills and is unable to help me to the point that I can consider myself proficient in Java her coding skills are fake and her personality is fake she doesn't care for me as a student try asking her emails and questions on programming see her nonexistent response avoid the entire computer science department is weak
If you know nothing about Java or coding in general this is the professor for you!
As someone who has previous knowledge on computer science and programming, and knowing someone who is a comp sci major at a tech school, she is not a good professor. She'll teach but she has no proper knowledge on correct programming skills. I get it, this university is not notorious for comp sci, but it's just bad here. Her directions are unclear
Her classwork and tests are relatively easy as long as you review and show up for class. Her as a professor is somewhat unorganized as she's unresponsive through email. However, she's the right professor if you have programming knowledge.
I started off knowing literally NOTHING... but now I can easily run a program. She posts everything she teaches on canvas. She's always open to helping students after class and gives a lot of demos and practices to get familiar with the info. 1 assignment a week and 1 ASL project. The test can be a bit tricky, but I would take her again: )
If you are a beginner, you will love her. Attend every class because the hw is basically redoing everything we go over in class. She posts weekly videos which help with the hw. There's a lot of extra credit qs on both hw and tests. The tests are easy if you study the review sheet, it's basically the same thing. You won't regret it if you take her!
Our class was half asynchronous, so half of the final exam was online. Homeworks every class, only tests are midterm and final, very easy course. Dr. Debello is always accessible and is super nice, so don't be afraid to ask for help. Although the course is easy to begin with, she definitely does a great job of teaching it.
We went over the basics at a relaxed pace and that was helpful for me as far as staying on track goes. The tests were clear, and she gave practice versions before each one which was basically the same as the actual test. There is homework, and you just have to follow through with it on time to get a full grade on that.
Very disappointed. You will not leave any of her classes having any real knowledge of coding. She does not have a background in this which is understandable but still unfair to her students. Lacks passion. Rude to students who email for extra help. Rude during office hours. Spent so much for my education and left disappointed.
Professor Debello is great for beginners. The class is easy with homework, tests, and a final project. Using unstuck AI along with the practice tests helped me prepare well. Definitely take this class if you're new to coding.
Will never go the extra mile to help students, always on her phone texting before, during and after class. Left knowing nothing about programming whatsoever. Disappointed. What computer professor in 2025 has no online presence on LinkedIn to help their students?
