I had this teacher a year ago. She was fantastic. She made powerpoint presentations, used the smart board, and spent time answering all questions and having you try problems while in class so you understand. She makes everything easier. If you fail, it's because you didn't do the work. Wish I had her for precalc!! Highly recommended!

If you show that your serious she will devote time during class and via e-mail to help. She creates power points for each individual class, and is very focused on helping you pass the final.Great teacher don't be put off by her sassy nature she works with high school students all day so when she comes to college shes ready to deal with adults.

Mrs. DeRosa is a great teacher she cares a lot about her students. She makes sure she gives credit to those who give an honest effort. take her class participate, do your hw and you will do well.

Uses mathlab for quizzes, unlimited trys. Rarely uses the book in class because she brings in here own powerpoint presentation. Which is more helpful than what the books says. She teaches the class in a way that you'll understand. Even if you're really bad at math you'll understand her. She Explains and shows every single steps and possibilities.

Professor DeRosa is a great teacher. We never use a book, tests are online which have unlimited attempts. The only thing I don't like about her is that she has a tendency to cut people off in the middle of there questions, and that gets really annoying. Other than that she's a great math teacher!

I absolutely hate Math and always passed through by the skin of my teeth. Professor DeRosa really made sure the entire class knew what we were doing before she moved on. We went over things often and she very rarely gave tests. Just make sure you have the access code for the online quizzes. You can take them unlimited times.

I failed math in high school, so I'm amazed I'm sitting in her class with an average of 98.7 right now. She gives you a lot of tools to use and a lot of ways to practice. Everything is spelled out clearly. I wish she could teach Precalc and Calculus too; I would definitely take her class again.

DeRosa is good. One thing though that will piss you off about her is that she spends so much time on reviewing previous class material that she barely leaves anytime for new material. She'll start teaching something new literally in the last 10min of class. Seriously? Also she helps way too much, and lets confused people ask way too many....

She explains each step in depth over and over so you really get it! I am taking 118 with her now and I already know I am going to get an A! I wish I could take my statistics class with her!

Prof DeRosa is a very good teacher. I have always struggle with math and she make it seem easy. She does expect you to attend all classes because we cover a lot of material in one class and when you miss a class it is hard to get caught up. Also if you talk to Prof DeRosa about missing a test before the day of the test she will make accommodations.

Prof. Derosa is the best math professor you can ever find. I received an A+ in her class which was actually a 100%. If you don't take advantage of the mylabs, then your going to have an issue. All your quizzes are on mylabsplus. They are done at home and you can take as long as you need to complete and you can do it over to improve your grade. She welcomes questions!

Professor Derosa is a very good instructor. I had her for 017 and 118. She explains everything in steps. This was my first online class. This course gave very clear directions on what has to be done. There are video lessons on Canvas/youtude and you have assignment on mylabsplus. No calculators are allowed and I recommend you not use them or you will not do well on the final which is on campus. When you email with questions she will respond quickly.

Can miss about four classes. No homework, just an online quiz every week. Clear lectures, easy tests as long as you the test review, theres one for every test. I would definitely recommend taking her class.

Took FNMT118 online and the work was straight forward. Homework, quizzes, discussions each week and a test every few weeks. Multiple attempts on all assignments. If you complete the work on time and get the best score it's an easy A/B. Only complaint is final is worth 30% of final grade. I had a 95 and my 75 on final brought me to an 89 overall.

One word explains this professor.... AWESOME!! It may seem like a lot of work but its all helpful, and shes understanding and explains things perfectly. Honestly I dont think it can get any better than her. You must show up to class because the info builds and missing too much will make the class confusing. Failing would be the students fault.

By starting back at the basics and giving you a new perspective on how to understand mathematics, you'll finish the class feeling a sense of accomplishment. She is great she explains everything and goes over examples of work on the board. She asks questions and tries to make sure every one understands. She also has PowerPoints so you can take notes next to the problem & go over the slide on paper while she has them on the broad.

One of the best online course I have ever had. I take all my course online and this course has vidoe lesson for each chapter. I love the pause and try part of the videos. I was never good at math and now I feel confident I will have success in my next math course. I highly recommend taking this class.

This class was an online. Professor DeRosa had video lessons that great! The only proctored test is the final, yes you need a minimum of a 40% or above to receive a passing grade but the practice final is very similar to the final. If you practice you will do well. I got a 95% on the final!

Love love love Professor DeRosa. she really want everyone to do well in her class. Her homework are worth 35% of the grade. Every test there is a test review with an answer key. if you practice these review you will ace the test. The final is accumulative but there is a final teview. DeRosa is the best ever!

I took Professor DeRosa online class and loved it. She does not extend due dates but you can work ahead so you do not miss any assignments. Most weeks there are 2 lessons which she has video on Canvas and 2 homeworks and a quiz. The homeworks you can work on until you get 100% and the quizzes/tests you get 3 chance.

I have never been good at math. I was worried about taking this course. Professor DeRosa really is a great teacher. I like that her notes are posted on Canvas and she had her personal videos for each lesson, which help when I was doing the homework assignments. I now for the first time understand algebra.

Derosa herself isn't so bad. If you don't understand the topic in class you will struggle. I had to learn the homework on the website because her examples were different from the homework. Overall she's a nice professor I just wish she was more accessable outside of class. She did not offer to help me even though I failed most tests.

I took Professor DeRosa's online class. This class was very well prepared. Video lessons and assignments went together. NO calculators, are allowed so do not use them because your final is in person and you must get a 40% or above in order to receive a passing grade. Which is easy if you practice the final review and do the class assignments.

I took math 118 class 2-d time and chose her. She does it easy to understand and always helps. It is required to do homework until the due dates and no make-ups for any reasons. I also had online class through the college closure and then we had video lessons plus 2 attempts for the tests. Her tests are same format as in review. Recommend only her.

I took Professor Derosa's online 7 week math fundamentals course this summer. I have really struggled with algebra two in the past, and was really nervous taking a math course online. Math has never been my strongest subject however, I always try my best. Something that has helped to complete the homework assignments is the videos before them that walk you through step by step how to complete the desired equation. The location of the video is so convenient and it kinda feels like we are actually in a classroom.

Took as an accelerated math course over winter, for context I have never gotten above a C in a math class ever, I ended up with an A. Its ALOT OF WORK but as long as you do the reviews over and over again you will get an A. I recommend taking her for an accelerated course, she explained the math really well in a way even i a math hater got.

The set up for this class was very organized and easy to follow. I am not great at math but now feel differently. Professor DeRosa's video make learning math easy. Step by step instructions. She does open the course early which help to prepare for the semester workload. This was a accelerated course which help to get an idea for my time management.

Didn't require in-person attendance as long as work was completed on time through canvas. Lectures were online and walks you through everything making it fairly simple. Always available in-person too if needed for extra clarification. Easy to talk to and get a hold of whether it was in-person or through email.

This course to be easy to follow. Video were well done. There are no extensions to due dates but 2 lowest quizzes were drop and the lowest test was replaced with the final review grade. This brought my grade to an A. Do the final review until you get a high grade. I could bump your overall average by a letter grade. Love this class. No regrets.

I took DeRosa for a seven-week course. This was completely online, she did not teach, she gave us videos to watch along with the videos that were already on mylab, and that is how we learned. If you can teach yourself the work then this is the class for you, if not, do not take this class. But I would recommend taking her class.
