Good professor but very hard. Her lectures are very clear and effective. Expect lots of work and very strict expectations. Not a rude professor but be prepared to have your speech critiqed by her in front of the class.

Difficult class, however topics discussed are extremely helpful for life, it will seriously change your life and the way you communicate with people. Test are very difficult, however there are ways to redeem your self. I thought she was really cool.

The class is so hard because the tests are pure memorization of ALL the notes she gives (and she gives a LOT of notes). But she is also lenient on number of tests and papers and the tests have LOTS of bonus points.

Hard class... test is all essay questions! Plus you have to do 3 speeches. Although it was so hard, I learned so much! She is a good teacher, but hard! If you want an easy 'A' this isn't the class.

quite hard, lots of notes. Tests were very extensive, but she tells you exactly what to study, its just ALOT!! Very funny, tells lots of loud comical stories about her life, keeps it fun. She will challenge you but not insanely. you cant fall behind.

mrs. g.a. is a tough cookie! She has strict rules when it comes to the speech assignments. cool thing: no tests!! i don't recommend her to the lazy students. In my eyes, she was a good teacher. and i don't think she hates men.

One of the best teachers I've had. She makes the class very interesting. Her test is a lot of memorization, but her tests are the same format she gives you on the notes. If you pay attention in class, which you shouldn't have any problem you'll be fine.

Huge workload, but VERY specific instructions for requirements of assignments. This is NOT an easy A class, but I got an A out of it. Don't fall behind in the work or you're dead meat.

Mrs. Gibbons-Anderson is an instructor who demands quite a bit of her students, but teaches her subject with humor and good cheer. Complete all of the assigments to the best of your ability and work hard at honing the material taught in class/the text and you'll be successful in this course.

One of the best teacher i've had at RCC. Her class is fun, and she's a great teacher. YOu have to write like 3 essays, and the notes she gives you, is exactly the test! Great teacher and class!

Class is a challange,however this is college & not high school.She really likes her job & it shows,go to class & pay attention you will do good in her class. If you show her papers ahead of time she will help you with them. I wish that I had more professors like her!

expect to study ALOT in her class.they're worksheets about 30 pages long of notes she gives for the test.that are expected to be memorized.

This teacher was very good, she cared about the students. granted there was ALOT of work, but it wasnt difficult work. just tidious. but i learned alot from the class and i enjoyed it. she was a fun instructor.

I loved her class. It as extremly hard and the group work was not fun, but she teaches you and you learn and then you can use it. I cant say that about most of the teachers I have had. Definately a teacher I respect.

DO not I repeat DO NOT be late or absent. Always keep track of her office hours you will need to ask for help at least once. Never slack on your homework because its not worth it. SHes a Pitt bull do not upset her.

Take this class if you have absolutely NO LIFE WHATSOEVER! I think she has no friends so she likes to make sure she gives so much work that you can never be with a friend the entire time you take her class. I will have to say outside the class i liked her but the class setting watch out the chiuaua has been let off her leash and she bites.

This class was so hard! I was going to drop, but didn't. I'm glad I didn't it got better. A lot of chances for make ups on work.

Ms. G-A is very hard but a really good teacher, if you need help she is there and if you do good on your speeches you will do great in the class, but there is ALOT of work so be prepared and if you don't like alot of work don't take her class!

Great teacher! The work was really hard at first and got easier later in the semester. Some people didn't like her, but they didn't want to do the work!She's very helpful. She always gave me extra help when I asked for it.

She is an excellent teacher, and anyone who isn't lazy will find the class interesting. Her lectures are excellent - she actually gives you an outline of the chapters and you do it together in class. She offers extra credit, and her quizzes are EASY. There can be a lot of homework, but it is all interesting and will help you on the tests.

She is very helpful if you ask questions. Sometimes the assignments can be confusing but if you read your chapters and go to class every day it isnt bad at all. She comes off very stritct at first but she gets to know her class and shes fun! I learned a lot and I liked the class I would not mind taking her again, anyone who says spe9 is hard is laz

She is Great, but she can, if you lagg it be hard. She will give you about two five page papers due the same day, plus having to study for a quiz, but her class is worth it. you will learn a lot A LOT! if your lazy dont take her you will hate it, but if your not, Shes great!

Amazing instructor. She knows what she is teaching and she practices it as she teaches. She cares about her students and is very reasonable and approachable. Her grading system is amazing and geared towards the students. Definitely recommend for any semester (I took her in winter).

Very good teacher that explains the subject very well, I would highly recommend her. If you're looking for an easy A this is not the class for you, its a lot of work but you also learn a lot. I heard this class would be really hard and it was nothing that I was expecting. The class is easy and totally fun.She's funny too. Just pay attention, do your homework,and ask questions and you should do just fine. She's more than willing to help. The Tests are dificult but i passed em all with B's.Just study your notes. She is a great professor is really into what she teaches but at the same time gives a lot of work if your going to be taking one class take her but if your going to be really busy with work and other classes it'll be hard to keep up but she is amazing teacher.

Though it seemed like a lot of work to re-write outlines and practice speeches, it helped a lot. Without re-writes I wouldn't have made the improvements I did. Just follow the instructions and make corrections as requested. Good vibe in the class.

I love this Instructor!! I'd recommend her to anyone, especially if you want to learn. She's especially good with the students who want to learn. Isn't that what college is about? She always went out of her way to help me.

This class is NOT easy, put in the effort and you WILL succeed. She is extremely knowledgable, and understanding. Great teacher, with high standard for her students and HERSELF. If you hold yourself to A LOW standard don't take her class because she expects nothing but the best from her students. Overall I'd say TAKE HER you'll learn A LOT

This was a tough class, but you will gain a lot of useful information about college expectations, social skills, and ways to improve yourself. I came in as an anxious person fearful of public speaking, but now I have a far better understanding of social life. I recommend her to those of you who want to improve yourselves as students and as people.

This Professor is awesome! She expects a lot but is extremely helpful and fun. She taught me so much even with basic note-taking that has been helpful through my entire college experience. I took both her com 1 and com 9 classes. She is the reason I became a communications major.

Currently finishing her COM 9 hybrid and yes it is labor-intensive but she's sweet and fun! Her class is enriching and it is worth the work. She really makes sure u do the work and that u learn. She is awesome!

I am annoyed because I loved this class and she is really sweet. I finally decided to man up and check my grade and somehow I got a D when I worked dedicatedly and got a B+ on the first test.

I really enjoyed this class and I really looked forward to going to class. She is very sweet and her lectures are interesting. I learned alot that I can actually use in my life. There is always homework though, you just have to keep up.

Dr. G-A is a great professor and I would definitely take another class. She gives a good amount of homework and by no means is this an easy A class but she gives you want you need to get a good grade. The class is very educational and can be life changing. One of the best professorsteachers I have ever had. She really wants you to succeed.

Seems like a lot of work but once you do it you'll understand everything she clarifies in class too. Participating is a must and aim to do all your work through the semester for the reward. I love her as a professor and person. she makes you earn your grade, and the class teaches life lessons it's worth it. Definitely taking her every chance I get.

I took her Hybrid class so we only met once a week. Class meetings were all about the material you read and the assignments you had done. You had to read every chapter and complete 2-3 assignments on that chapter, you had a week to do it. It seemed overwhelming at first but it was all repetition, the material really sticks. She is there to help.

LOVE LOVE LOVED HER! Yes this class is time consuming, but its college... what did you expect? She is there for you 100%. If you do all the work and come to class theres no way you can fail. Most of the tests have extra credit of at least 50 points. Super time consuming I wouldn't take it if you have a full time job. But love her none the less.

Com-9, Spring 15'. DR. G-A is a fantastic professor, her explanations are clear, if by any chance you do not understand something she will help you. The class is pretty easy, it only requires an open mind, time and effort. Basically, you have to be lazy to fail the class.

Intercultural comm online, its a great class, she's helpful and approachable, but its ALOT of work, I'm talking weekly essays (thats right 16 essays) I'm not lazy but thats over kill. Plus outline every chapter every week, plus cited responses. I thought I was writing killer essays only to get 29/40 Boo! Fear the Grading Rubric! Post Wed Due Sat

She is one of the best professors I've had at RCC! Take her if you are serious about learning. Her class is not an "easy A", but just put in the required work and attend class and you'll get the grade you want. Going to SI sessions is very helpful if you have one in your class.

This class is a tough class if you are a busy person, but if you manage your time well and get the material its not too hard. She gives online quizzes and tests so its soooo convenient if you need that extra help from your book or notes. Other then that its very interesting.

Sweet lady, but has extremely high standards. I've taken COM12 and COM13 online with her, and they were the hardest classes I've ever had as far as workload. If you have other obligations do not take either class. It's unrealistic to do well in either class if you have other priorites like work or other classes.

Dr. G-A is by far one of the best professors I've had at RCC. At the beginning of the course, I didn't expect to learn much from this class. I was amazed at how much I did though. Her class discussions are awesome and she is funny. If my schedule wasn't full next semester, I definitely would've taken another class with her.

This class was the most significant at RCC. Dr. G-A does assign numerous assignments throughout the semester--so PREPARE TO READ! She also allowed us to use our notes for all her quizzes, so that really helped. As long as you participate and you demonstrate you try & do the assignments, you'll do fine!

Love Dr G-A!!! This class is super easy, go to every class and do every assignment and you'll def. pass. If you do well enough and minimally miss a few assignments, you can skip the Final!! Gives Ex Cred away charitably. lots of tedious work, but refreshing material to learn. Very helpful and gets to know each student personally. Highly recommend3

She is personable, & nice. The syllabus is broken into 2, but is 27 pgs long. A lot of reading and homework, so if you are taking more than 6 units, or have kids, it can be quite a struggle. There was a ton of highly detailed homework which involved the text, on-line lectures, and numerous handouts. Feedback on the papers was quite illegible too.

I LOVED my comm9 class with Mrs. G-A. She is very sweet & I love the way she teaches. The class was really interesting and I feel like it did actually help me communicate differently. This class required no real public speaking assignments (which I loved). The class really breaks down how we communicate and helps you understand better ways to accomplish proper communication many different situations.

Best COM prof at RCC. Class is easy, watch videos, fill out skeleton and apply in RTL's. Use textbooks in the CCE if you need assistance, you don't NEED to buy 1 (Buy 13th edition online for $20 if you want, she encourages you to save money). DO ALL ASSIGNMENTS and you can skip the 3-part final, I passed with beyond an A+. Utilize your SI and CCE

This was my favorite professor this fall semester. There is a lot of homework but it isn't hard, it just time consuming, but if you do all of the assignments and the tests it pays off because she offers different options for the finals. The lectures were understandable and exactly on topic. SI sessions are available which were also super helpful.

You won't pass this class if you don't put in significant effort, but she is very kind when you reach out to her, even through email. There is chance to earn extra credit with every assignment and I suggest if you have the time to do the extra work to certainly do it.

She definitely makes you work for your grade. The class content itself is not that difficult, its just a lot of what feels like busy work. She is not very lenient when it comes to missing class/forgetting homework. Your grade is determined by the effort you put into the course; do every assignment & do well on tests no final & a good grade

I loved taking this class with Dr. GA! This class is a lot of work but it's worth taking because you learn so much. Work must have a lot of detail for full credit and tests have 2 parts to them. There's a lot of group discussion. she also has reward options at the end of the semester. Might be able to skip the final and big paper at the end.

She's a great professor. I enjoyed taking her online class. You will have to do a lot of reading but textbook was easy to read. Lots of work to keep up with but subject matter is interesting and relatable to your life experience. I will be taking her again for Com 9. You work for an A but feels great to ace her class.

There's a better chance of you getting a C than getting an A, so if you dont work for it, then thats what youll get. My class was fortunate enough to not have to take the midterm, but in all its a thorough class of social psychology and communications. Cool teacher and person, just dont forget to do your work

Awesome professor. You HAVE to work HARD if you want a good grade. Helped me realize my passion for the subject. With all this being said, DO NOT take this class if you have a demanding job, or have a lot of other classes. I had this class, POL 1, GUI 47, and Music History (easy-moderate course load). This class is awesome IF you have the time.

All of her lectures are online via videos for her hybrid class. During class you will review material from the previous week as a class discussion. Not hard, LOTS of work AND printing! We didnt have midterm but had a 8-12 page essay and the final consisted of 25 question, each question had 3-5 sub questions, which turned out to be 19 pages long.

Lots of work, but you really end up learning a whole lot and youd be thankful for it. Shes a great professor.

She is a great professor, I had enrolled in two of her courses. While there is a good amount of work and reading, it is structured. You will gain a lot out of her course. As long as you complete your readings and get your work done in a timely manner you will do great in this class. she also sticks to the syllabus schedule very well.

Professor G-A (what she likes for us to call her) is a great person and professor. She does give out a lot of homework and she loves details in the homework assignments. She does a great job explaining the subject and making sure we understand what is being taught.

Her interpersonal communications class (hybrid) is very tedious and a lot of work, however she gives a genuine effort back to her students. If you're looking for an easy A, this is definitely not the professor to take. However, she did a great job teaching her curriculum and makes it completely applicable to real life.

I ended up taking this class online because of quarantine as well and i had 5 other classes on top of com 9 plus a job and kids. Her class IS a lot of work, you just have to be willing to put the time in for your education. I passed with an A+ and it was hard but she is an amazing professor, very compassionate and worth the work.

I am super lazy and a big procrastinator and found this class relatively easy. She is unclear in some places in lectures, which can be frustrating and she is only available in the morning. She gave extra credit which boasted my grade up 5%. If you don't use the late work policy and show up to class you can be excused from the final! I recommend ��

I enjoyed this class, yes it has its hard duties on learning about how people communicate, but this professor would make it fun in lectures to make sure she knew that we understood what she was talking about. the midterm is based on a group project which wasn't so bad. Don't procrastinate and you will survive!

highly encourage to do the extra credit, it helps you do the homework and helps your grade. It does take a while to do homework but i learned alot and she is very kind. would take again. & it pays off to be on top of your homework!

You have to want to learn and take this class, or it'll be hard and demanding. But easily, one of the most caring/ respectful professors, gave good feedback when I didn't understand correctly and teaches in a way that's easy to process. Lectures are simple and direct, and the class participation helps if you actually do the work. Would take again.
