She is amazing. Very helpful and sweet. No matter the time she is always available and with a smile. I had her for 1045 and 1046 and I finish with A in both. Of course you have to study hard, but is Chem, right?
She is the sweetest person. I got her for Lab and she is extremly helpful. I study a lot and I got A. As you know your grade depends of your effort and not to the professor, but it was awesome be in her class

The exams are impossible. Can't explain well. Tests are different from what she covers in class, it's horrible.
I'm taking her for Lab and she's not that bad, I know there are better professors. She is a good, but she always goes the hard way around things and makes you do it like that. The exams are not bad but you obviously have to study, its chem. You get points for doing the modules and attendance. She's really nice and will explain to you :)
Teacher is nice an d will help you, if you as her for help. But she is all over the place with lecture and goes over things fast or forgets all together. Her lecture and test don't match and she does review. I took her for lab and she is so much better at teaching lab then lecture. I had to drop her lecture but was able to pass her lab.

Honestly, just study from the book and you'll do just fine. Her teaching can be a bit confusing, but she's always willing to take the time and help you understand, and is there in office hours and will take as much time as you need to help you. Sweet teacher, just a little lacking on teaching style.
Her class is not hard, but u do have to study. She is very nice, always willing to help. She has a confusing way of teaching. Although I got an A in her class, I had to learn stuff by myself
If you fail the first exam, drop the class. It is NOT going to get easier. You have to KNOW the content because everything is a review, and she explains very fast. She is very helpful, but exams are super long and time is not enough. Seriously, if u have to take this class, reconsider the idea.
Prof Lee is very nice and willing to help but you will need to prepare her class prior to attend otherwise you will get lost on doing the experiment. She grades fairly and your homework has to be done otherwise it will be hard to pass the class. You have to study the book and you will get an A.
She is a really good teacher but the material is really hard. Well is chemistry, but still she doesnt make it any easier. I studied for every test and understood every thing and still got a C. The tests are way too long and hard in order to do them in just 50 minutes, plus the material is not easy. This class was really hard!!
Overall, I'd say professor Lee is a good teacher. Sometimes things can be a little confusing, but she has tons of office hours for you to go visit her. She's very understanding and accommodating as long as you contact her and make your needs known. She's not the best, but there are tons of worse chemistry professors.
A bit unclear when she teachers, but if you have a question she's always willing to take the time to help you understand. This was lab, and I think she's better with teaching lab then lecture, so it wasn't that bad. She has a lot of experience in the lab so she knows what she's doing, she's a hard grader for the lab reports though.

Great professor and always willing to help. Practice the hw and do the chapter exams in the book and you will get an A. If you don't understand go to her office hours. I took her for 1025,1045 lecture and lab and got an A in all classes. You have to study, don't expect to only attend class and pass.
She goes at her own pace through the lectures and it is up to you to study on your own to do well in the class. Tests are multiple choice making it possible to pass as long as you put maximum effort

This professor has no idea how to teach chemistry. She teaches the class assuming that you know everything that she is talking about. She teaches too fast and often skips steps without letting you know, making you become confused. I would advise you to stay away from this teacher
Shes absolutely awesome , very dedicated professor she doesn't send out reviews but her tests are relatively similar to the material covered practice a lot and you should do great she is very nice and makes chemistry more bearable definitely considering taking her again in 1045
Extremely nice lady, and a good chemist, but a horrible, horrible teacher. I have a 3.7 GPA and about 60 credits I am fairly smart and this class has by far been the most difficult and ANNOYING class I have ever taken. The tests are extremely difficult, she is extremely unorganized and does not explain well. Find someone else or try someone else.

This teacher is nice, but I don't recommend taking her. Does not review, not organized, and does not explain thing clearly. All over the place, and test have not thing to do with her homework nor lessons she puts up on the angel website.
This class is extremely hard. Im a step by step person, I need things organized and she is all over the place with her lecture. Its very fast, I mostly teach myself. Her test are hard! She picks the hardest question and puts them on the test. She gives little hints on test but it wont help you much. Did good on 1st and 2nd.. down hill from there
DO NOT take this professor if you care about your GPA. She is very nice but a horrible teacher. There is no extra credit, no hw, no curves, no reviews, no structure, no nothing. You are honestly thrown into the deep end and expected to pass the tests which, btw consist of only the ABSOLUTE MOST DIFFICULT problems. You practically teach yourself.
She can be confusing at times, but she's very helpful and nice. Just make sure that you follow the text while she explains and you'll never get lost. Easy class if you work out the problems along with her. Taking 1045 next term with her.

Horrible teacher, there is no order or structure. CHM1045 is not an easy class but she makes this class MUCH harder than it has to be. She uses the philosophy that by making the test extremely difficult, you will be better for it in the long run. Do yourself a favor and find another professor. Try a different campus if you have to. Run... AWAY!!!!!

Terrible! She is a mess. EXTREMELY unorganized! Sge does the easiest examples in class and then puts the hardest questions on the test. I am countibg down the days until this semester ends. I had Pappas for 1025 who is AMAZING and actually teaches so having to take lee now has been the Worst experience ever. Nice lady personally but cant teach!!

If you are not naturally good in math do yourself a favor, turn around, and find someone else. This class is not easy and this professor makes it much worse than it has to be. Her philosophy is to OVER prepare you. Drive to a different MDC campus if you have to. You will not regret it. You have been warned.
It's chemistry, you can't just show up to class and expect to learn through osmosis, you have to put the work in. I've taken her for 1025, 1045, and now 1046... I SUCK at math and it takes me an hour to do 1 problem, but because of this woman, I GET IT. She is always open to help and will sit there with you UNTIL you understand.
chemistry is not an easy subject. not a good teacher. so to learn my advice is to get a tutor, go to the lab, or make appointments. it helps. other than that DONT WASTE UR TIME going to her class. just study on your own and read the module. and practice. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.

Very helpful teacher and nice but the class is hard, test are not easy even with studying. MC tests but you have to show work and no more than a certain amount of days missed in a row or your dropped. Lectures are ZzzZZ but at least she is very understanding and will help. TAKE HER FOR LAB !
She's not the worst professor, but definitely not the best either. She did a very good job at explaining the early material, but later material she just made it more confusing. Honestly, if there's no other professor I would likely take her again, but otherwise I would probably take someone else.
This is chemistry, not a easy class to begin with but prof, Lee is there to help. Offers some EC take advantage of it. 4 test one final. To pass honestly study alot, before and after many people dropped after the second test. The third test was where it got tough so study before and good luck. I got an A
She is super confusing. Doesnt explain the material well. Just do your best on your own and try to just understand each topic as the tests go in alot of detail dont just memorize everythinf actually know what your doing. What she explains in class is just a brief overview of what will be on the test. The test is much harder than what she teaches
DON'T rely on this professor to learn any of the material for the course. She's extraordinarily unorganized, & unclear w/ everything she says. The modular study guide book will be your best friend for this class. Read it, rewrite it, do all the exercises, practice problems, & practice tests, & you should be fine. Tough A, but definitely attainable.
It's chemistry, it's not easy but if you read, pay attention in class and do the exercises you will be fine. Her tests are multiple choice and drops the lowest grade of one of the tests . I got an A in all tests except the third one cause i didn't study and the final wasn't that hard.
The exams are easy given if you have done the work and study! An amazing professor and always willing to help you! These low ratings are nonsense, take her! If you work hard and want to get a good grade, she's for you! The HW helps a lot. She provides guided problems on Angel. Also, gives extra credit throughout the semester! She's fantastic!
Professor Lee goes rather quickly with her lectures, but she will always make sure to cover everything that is needed for the exam. She gives extra credit on the exams and its chemistry so you have to put the effort. Aside from that, she's passionate about getting us to learn the material and that passion drives me to better.
She is an excellent professor. She has an accent but nothing to be concerned about. I like the way she cares for students in a high school type of way. She is there for you and rreminds you what you should already know over and over. She covers all the material and always answets question. I really liked her class.

She's so sweet and kind. I would wish she would slow down, but it doesn't matter. Don't waste your money on tutors. Go to her office hours and Professor Lee will spend hours with you helping you understand anything you need help with. She really is there to help you.

Avoid taking at all costs. Goes too fast and if you ask her to slow down she doesn't. If you ask a question she treats you like you're dumb and genuinely gets mad and annoyed at questions. Online hw is helpful to passing but takes off points for wrong attempts& is $40. You'kll pass if you can teach yourself. TESTS ARE HARD!
Chemestry is a hard subject it's not the professor's fault. Study study study, but the books and READ AHEAD! Class periods are not long enough and professor Lee does her best to go through all the material. Online homework required (long, boring and tedious but it helps)... I would take professor lee again! But I'm done with all my chemistries :P
Take this professor, she's fantastic! She provides so much too help you and to add, don't take this course with another demanding course because you need to put all your focus into it if it is your first semester. She's beyond amazing in her office, yet she speeds through lectures because there's tons of information, but read ahead.
She needs to teach CHM1046 lecture! I want her to teach that subject so badly because she has helped me so much in 1045 and without her I wouldn't have understood hybridization. She truly is a gifted chemist. I hear she's a fantastic lab teacher for 1046, but I want to see how she applies that knowledge in a lecture format based course.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Professor nearly makes it objectionable to complete this course. She runs through lectures fairly quick. & dont even defy in asking concerning questions, she will literally degrade u & make u feel nonetheless like the gum at the bottom of your shoes. Want to pass her tests? Might as well try to decipher the Rosetta stone.
She is a very nice teacher but her way of explaining things is very confusing. She will show you how to get from point A to point D but won't explain what happened in point B and C. Take this class if you like teaching yourself. I would never take chemistry with her again.

I loved Professor Lee. She is amazing. She made love Chemistry. She is also always willing to help. She is an excellent person and professor. I am planning to take all my chemistry classes with her. Don't overthink, and take her as your professor, you won't be sorry.
This professor's teaching method is very unorganized. But she wants to help you. Its just sad, I wish she could just teach it better. She gave tons of extra credit too.
4 test and a Final. Gives extra credit , curves test, you get grades for homework! She really wants you to pass. Out of all the Chm teachers in Kendall campus she is the only one iv had that is nice, cares for her students, and gives you resources other than the horrible textbook book to learn from. Only complaint her notes in class are messy.

Very kind and patient but horrible teacher. Runs Through material and makes too many mistakes, which if you chem isn't your strong suit, Mistakes can cause a distraction in the learning process. Also Material is scattered , she is rushed and very old school, tests don't match up to her teaching so read read read!!!!! Tests are from the books.
chemistry is hard, you have to study and put a lot of time into it if not you won't pass. Prof. Lee follows the modular study guide instead of the text book and it makes life so much easier. Her class is tough, but thats Chemistry in General. She's fast in her lectures but she's excellent 1 on 1 in her office. Use the modular study guide, it's what she uses and you'll do excellent if you follow it.
I loved her! She's an amazing professor ! I wish she would teach chm1046 I would definitely take her again with no hesitation. She does give 4 exams, a final, hw & extra credit. Although the homework is time consuming it helps for the test. It was one of my ways of studying and she tries to help you out very easy to approach! Practice makes perfect

Probably a nice enough person but should have nothing to do with the profession of teaching. Conveying concepts to others in any decipherable fashion just isn't her thing. All you'll get out of attending lectures is attendance credit for being present. MDC really needs to do some in-house quality control.

Prof. Lee is very caring and knowledgeable. She tends to be rushed and a little messy during her lectures but if you go to her office she will try to help you. Had 4 tests and a final which replaces your lower grade, also online hw and extra credit on the test and on the hw. You need to read and study. Tests are not super easy but not too difficult
Professor Lee isn't too bad. If you ask for help during her office hours she will help you. The best thing is that she gives extra credit. READ BEFORE CLASS. She rushes through lectures a lot. Kind of hops from one thing to another. I didn't feel that going to lecture was helpful AT ALL. Read the book do, the home work & practice exams she sends.
she's not a bad professor and gives extra credit for every exam which helps a lot. she has given up to 10 points in extra credit by just doing 3 questions that can you take them home and bring it next class. She does rush the class a little but it's not bad.
Professor Lee is not bad, it is clear she knows her chemistry but the problem is that she doesn't know how to explain it. She made the course a little bit confusing. I suggest that if you had already taken chemistry before, take her, since you already have an idea of what's going on, but if you had never taken chemistry don't take her.
Actually I'm very disappointed with this professor.I studied a lot in order to pass this class, I did all my homework and went to PLTL but unfortunately I did do good on the test, so and I got a C.I've taken two chemistries before this one and I passed them with an A, which means that the way she teaches is not the right one. She's always in a rush
Professor Joan Lee is a very bad teacher. All her test is basically on the study guide book that you have to get in order to do well on the test. She copies the notes from the book to the power point and declares it her own words. She doesn't help you during her office hours and you basically have to do the work by yourself.
Great person, terrible professor. Not very clear during lecture. She expect for you to know everything already. She also just reads off the PowerPoint and doesn't fully write out the question. She's not clear explaining and takes up most of the test time, handing them out. Wouldn't recommend her to no one. You want to pass; study, study, study.

out of 33 questions more or less on her tests, 30 of them are problem solving. No one is ever finished by the time the class is over. Shes a great person in general, gives you a review for all exams, and everything is on black board. However, she moves very fast, doesn't do the problems on the board, and just goes by her notes that are also on BB..
She's a nice person, just not a good professor. She's very fast and only teaches off the slides from her blackboard or Professor Pappa's workbook. Pappa's workbook will be on her syllabus, if you want to understand anything that this woman is talking about I suggest buying the workbook. It will help a lot. SHE DOES NOT GIVE A GRADING CURVE.
Joan Lee is a very nice person, but her style of teaching is all over the place. Her exams are ridiculous, and have nothing to do with the practice exams she give out to practice. If you have no choice but to take her, buy the modular study guide. She bases her exams off of them. even though it is not a required text.

Do yourself a favor and pick another professor. You will have to teach yourself the class and rely on youtube videos and tutors to pass with anything above a C because her teaching style is horrible. She's a nice woman, but horrible teacher.
Professor Lee is a really nice person and she is always available in her office, but she is not a good professor. She rushes everything and in Chemistry you cannot rush anything. You have to take your time to learn the material. You can't read her handwriting and is so disorganized, won't recommend at all.
I finished Chm 1025 with an A. My past prof. was awesome and set me up for excellence, but prof. Lee made 1045 more difficult than it needed to be. Her lectures confused me when she taught the concepts I already knew, so I took it upon myself to stop going to class and study on my own! BEST decision. Avoid this prof. at all cost.
Don't pick this professor. For the first exam, her lectures consisted of doing a problem packet over a light projector over her confusing accent. That's all. Not surprisingly in the first exam only two people got A's out of more fifty students. If you want a good grade in her class, you will have to teach yourself everything at home. Read the book

Chemist Lee is knows a lot, and is very knowledgeable when it comes to Chemistry. She was more than willing to help teach me, and any other student who was willing to learn.
i had taken Lee for 1025 lecture and she seemed a little messy but nice so i took her for lab 1046 BIG MISTAKE! she's a nice lady and helps with labs but no joke she takes off points for EVERY LITTLE THING. like sig figs, decimal points, if u don't use the formula on ur test. it's ridiculous. she doesn't care if you got the right answer
Whatever you do- DO NOT PICK THIS PROFESSOR. I chose her because she was the only chemistry professor after my work hours and had no choice. I went to class the first week and did not learn one thing. I started to just teach myself and study which is already hard enough if you're bad at chemistry. She is nice and all but I care more about my grade.
Take this class you better know how to teach yourself + start going to the STEM lab in a daily basis + do "5classesin1" homework + get that PLTL help! + go to Lee's office +++++++++ I truly regret taking this class it messed up my GPA. I agree she is nice though :(
TERRIBLE....I'VE PASSED ALL MY COLLEGE CLASSES AND I HAVE NEVER WITHDRAWN FROM A CLASS UNTIL I TOOK THIS CLASS WITH LEE. SHE IS SUPER FAST IN HER LECTURE. She knows what she's talking about but she doesn't know how to TEACH and thats obviously the most important part. If you pick her class you are basically taking a self taught class
Very nice teacher that gives a lot of extra credit. Take her if you want to pass chemistry. Sometimes she makes mistakes but usually she teaches well and you find out the mistakes yourself. 5-6 tests (including the final) and theyre not cumulative except for the final.
I took her bc I had no other choice, and I have to say she's a very nice lady but not a good professor, she's confusing and skips important points. she does add 20 points to your final grade from homework based on a 500 pt max. this class will ruin your class.
Professor Lee is a very kind person. Despite this, she's all over the place lecture wise. She is definitely much more helpful in her office hours than in the class itself. If you take 1045 with her, be prepared to teach yourself a good amount of the content. However, she is a fair grader and will give you extra credit if you ask.
I wouldn't recommend this professor to my worst enemy. Her lectures are all over the place, there are students who are even having to correct her work. She doesn't care if the ENTIRE class hasn't finished the exam, she will pick it up and accept it the way it is. Wait till next term to pick a better professor if you have to. She's trash.
If you blink, you might miss an entire chapter from how fast she goes.. If you do the practice exams, you'll find that they're riddled with mistakes. Does not explain a single thing in-depth, and only works off examples. You're gonna be learning everything by yourself anyway so just take this class online. 0/10.
Basically be prepared to read, a lot. A lot of her lectures, at least to me, didn't make much sense. She is okay, a little hard to understand. She's always there to help you though and offers extra credit if you ask. I studied a lot for her class in order to do well
I took her over the summer, so I only had her for the first half of the semester. The homework for her class was optional, but do it for the extra credit (and it does help for studying). It is a class you need to study for, but she provides lecture notes and other resources on blackboard. If you ask for extra credit, she might give you some. ASK!!!
Great professor for lab very nice and caring
I dropped from this class 2 weeks after I began. Ever since it started I knew it wasn't going to work. Her power point presentations are so fast and she barely explains anything. After the first 2 weeks of class and meeting her twice a week she had her first exam and expected us to remember it all, she didn't even do a review. I don't recommend her
She is very helpful outside of class, she will try to advise you on how you can do better or what you can do to improve but she is honestly the worse professor i've ever had. SHE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN AND DOES NOT MAKE SURE EVERYBODY IS FOLLOWING. She makes you do Knewton but the tests are nothing like the quizzes on knewton.

I thought this class would be easy, but trust me IT WAS NOT EASY AT ALL, she teaches (two whole modules) in two weeks and then gives you a test with 30 questions, she expect you to remember EVERYTHING which is impossible because each module has a lot of new content... she makes you do 5 tests and the last one is mandatory... NOT A GOOD PROFESSOR
Professor Lee is the sweetest and she tries to be there for her students as much as she can. However, you can get lost easily in her lectures because she does not know how to explain herself. To pass this class you need to do homework on knewton, study a little everyday, and SIGN UP FOR PTL! (She gives extra credit if you do)

Shes super sweet, but really sloppy. the notes she provides on blackboard are paper with her hand writhing. the notes in blackboard are not even in the right folders. Her test were nothing like the review she provides. A lot of questions on test for short amount of time. if chemistry isnt your best subject dont take her.
Work hard and you will pass this class. I was one of a few students that got an A but that's because I did all of the practice problems she gave us and I did them multiple times. It was hard work but in the long run I was able to do well in Chem 2 and Orgo 1. This is my way of saying thank you. Don't take the easy way out it'll hurt later on.
Prof. Lee gives a bunch of resources to practice the tricky topics. She may come off as tough, but she truly wants everyone to succeed in her class. HW and the practice test prepare you well for tests. Dont procrastinate. Gives a lot of extra credit. You can finish her tests on time if you practice a ton of practice problems beforehand.
She is always in her office waiting to help. Amazing teacher. Taking her again next semester

Sitting there for a couple hours is pretty boring, especially if its chemistry. I like science but she wasn't making the class interesting.
Prof. Lee is a really nice lady and a great professor, but do not take this class if you suck at chemistry. The tests are difficult but if you study you will pass. Don't procrastinate

Lee's class was quite average and the lectures were a little all over the place. She is a nice professor and will surely help you in anything you need. The class is easy and gives homework over Knewton Alta that sometimes goes more in-depth than the lectures and exams but surely gives you a foundation to help you succeed on the exams.
Prof Lee is a really good processor. She gives extra credit questions in exams, hw that helps, good review packets for the material, and shes helpful if you dont understand something. You do need to study A TON to keep up and pass exams, so take that into account.

Her lectures are terrible very disorganized no effort, its like a review instead of a lecture and a bad one at that. The study guide is nowhere near as hard as the test and test has too many questions and not enough time. Also asks questions in class for a grade and puts you on the spot
Ive never done a review for any profesor this lady cant teach, you will never understand anything from her class, its super frustrating paying for a class and not being able to learn from your profesor
I've tried prof Lee twice in two separate courses. Both times I've felt that her teaching is atrocious, her assignments don't match the exam, and she is disorganized. I understand a test not mimicking a review, but what she assigns to study is only a fraction of what the test will look like or have. If you wanna do that you gotta teach better!
She puts huge amounts of effort into making the class difficult. Giving us 300 questions literally for homework and making the tests extremely challenging but no effort what so ever into actually teaching the class. There is no lecture or explaining only her working out problems on paper which I can find on youtube.
Worst professor ever, she doesn't care if you have the covid19, she will give you 0 and not chance to make up regardless if you prove to her that you were in the hospital sick. She has not sympathy whatsoever for students. Worst professor ever. If you want to get an F, pick her, otherwise stay away from her.
Please beware when choosing professors for CHM1045L she is not it. she is very tough, takes points off for literally any little thing (significant figures, not adding proper formula when answering the question, etc.) she wants everything a specific way she is very rude, you have to study so much for the exams. I am never taking this professor again
The class consisted of four exams plus the final. The exams were worth 60%. There were hundreds of homework problems, but they mainly for guided reading. The lectures were mediocre and the homework was more help learning the content. The exams were similar to the homework and the given practice problems. Topics on exams were given.
You have to work for your A in the class, and she doesn't explains things the best sometimes. Has extra credit for a few exams but after a few exams you won't have the same opportunity. Not the most understanding sometimes but she's overall a decent professor with a few downfalls.
Gives pop quizzes every class and puts you on the spot. The homework does not teach you at all and if you get it wrong more than three times you cannot redo it which is ridiculous how can I peacefully learn with this homework and she gives HUNDREDS of problems that take away from actual studying. Also, she decided to stop recording classes.
First of all I had her twice Chm 1033 and now Chm 1045 she is CRAZY!! She wants you to buy an external webcam just so she can see you whole body when you take a test... if you don't have we ow well cause she will exempt all your test grades and thinks that your "cheating" HW takes 4 hrs per chapter with a minimal of 3 attempts per question GOODLUCK
Too much homework that is not even relevant to her lectures, and it slows you down on your studying for tests because of the massive amount of homework. She is knowledgeable, that is for sure, but not the best at explaining things.
You can tell she really loves what she does but this course is too difficult to take online. I dont blame her entirely. Hw does not/barely relate(s) to the exam content. She either teaches too fast or too slow. Only teaches in one learning style. But, she is very helpful and sweet. I hope the other reviews dont reflect too poorly on her. She's nice
Very caring professor. If you participate you will learn; however, depends on your learning style. She can be quite messy and chaotic but the homework program really helps. Easy to pass if you study , use outside resources, and know how to teach yourself.
Jesus, what an angel. Tremendous opportunities for extra credit. My average ended up being >100%. Tests are multiple choice, not fill-in, thank the Gods! She will record explanation videos on topics if a class day falls on a day-off... So considerate and funny. Other reviews don't do Lee justice. Absolutely the best chemistry professor.
Really good teacher she records her lectures, there's 4 exam and one final which if you get a higher score then any of the four test she will drop your lowest grade. Nearly had extra credit for every test which helped ALOT. Extra credit can vary from 5-10 points. Homework helps a lot she also takes extra credit for HW and test are mostly multiple
Best professor to take a course as complex and difficult as chemistry. She has knowledge about her field and teaches with passion. Clear lectures, happy to help anytime, answers emails within the hour, and helps students out by giving hints and tips. If you need to take any chemistry class, Professor Lee should be your number one choice.
Prof Lee is a caring & heart warming woman, that being said her lectures at times are confusing and hard to follow. I was able to get an A by relying on my notes from 1025 and the online hw. Prof Lees course is by no means impossible or incredibly hard, just if you want to understand it well you need to self study. she gives alot of study problems.
Professor Joan Lee, is knowledgeable. While her class is moderately difficult, and the lectures reasonable. You actually learn about Chemistry itself. She responds quick, and when you need help, She is there willing to explain to you about the topic or subject matter. Nice, and Good human being. Just takes her job and teaching serious. 7/10 PROF.
WORST INSTRUCTOR. Doesn't explain TALKS ALOT and skips over the important things, uses lockdown expects you to have a PhD in chemistry already. I went to her office hours to ask for help and after 1 min of her helping me she just left and i was left wondering what to do. there were 150 students in the start of the semester but 105 students dropped
Bio is my forte, not chem, but I will say, Prof Lee is making me pay attention and appreciate chem as I've always secretly wanted to. Chem is intimidating, but when you have a humanitarian-like science professor like Lee, it works out. I've always wanted to like chem, but it's hard, you know? Even if I don't pass, I'm taking her again!
Prof Lee is probably the worst professor I've had for chem. Her test are impossible and she's a tough grader. Not multiple choice barely any time and she's very rude. She expects you to know all the answers during her lectures without her even teaching. Please pick someone else for chem lab if you want to pass. Hw every week and only 2 exams.
I am currently in the middle of the semester, and I realized prof Lee is the best lab teacher I could have had. Many said that she gives a lot of hw nd ask to show work on exams, but this is the same for" every lab". Everything assigned including exams are from the CHM department itself and not her. She makes her best to help us success. take her!!
By far toughest grader i've taken, no extra credit options, shows no remorse or sympathy for anything. Expects you to be a Chem expert. Doesn't know how to teach a student that isn't familiar with chemistry. Should consider retirement
Just follow instructions, this professor would say what we had to do like 5 times and people would still mess up. So just follow instructions. She was really helpful with homework, shes willing to answer questions and go over things again. The only thing is that she is for sure a tough grader. Study and obey instructions if you want to pass
The amount of work I had to do for this 2-credit lab course is insane. She not only wanted us to fill in the lab report packet, she also made us write the lab report WORD FOR WORD on a separate composition notebook. More than twice the work for no reason. Literally wasting time that could be used for other courses. Way too much work.
