she is so easy, her midterm and final are a joke, could be a little more lenient on the papers, quizzes are a little diff if you dont do the reading, overall easy and clear teacher, do the work and you'll ge an A.

SHE's GREAT! she explains the work before the quizz the following week so just pay ATTENTION and do the reading. she keeps the class interesting and she KNOWS her work!she gave thorough explanation and review of the final. trust me do the work and you'll do well!

This teacher is heaven sent. She genuinely cares about her students and is willing to help you by giving you further direction in and out of class. She keeps you in the know through email. She makes her class come alive through the use of images and relating material of class to other resources.I loved almost every 9:25 monday morning session.

I loved prof Luhrs. Shes intersting and un-boring. She brings the class to life and her assignments are fun and generally easy. I got an A+ in her class. I recommened her to anyone who might struggle with Mythology and anyone who just loves it- like i do.

She cares and is extremely understanding to the point where if she thinks she was to tough, ambiguous, etc. on a question on an exam she will give the class full credit on the question. She also knows her stuff, is very friendly, and awesome at relaying info to student in exciting way. Has to be best teacher for subject...HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!

she is a hard grader. uses dunkle's study guide. have about 10 or 11 books to read not too long. she does a quiz after each reading assgnment. she makes classics interesting. has 2 papers, department midterm &final, & quizzes.she is a nice,genuinely concerned professor. she does not let u redo a paper if you have a low grade. use tutors.

i liked her. show up to class & pay attention. while the subject matter may be boring she trys to make it interesting. reasonable amount of work to do but nothing ridiculous. grades a lil tough on the paper but everything else was fairly easy. she was very organized,gives a decent lecture, no surprises and fair .. to me that's a good professor.

Professor Luhrs is exactly the kind of teacher that we all look for. She is not only a wonderful teacher but she is also a terrific person. The readings are mandatory, but she does not assign too much reading per night. Plus she always assigns the most interesting readings. As long as you do the readings you can do very well in this class.

Prof. luhrs is a great teacher. i have her now. she is really nice and helpful. she wants everyone to do their best. gives a quiz at the end of a reading but its like a easy 5 question quiz. she is also available for tutoring for anyone. i never use to have any interest in greek readings but now i like it. take her if you want pass and learn too.

Prof. Luhrs is a great professor. She knows what she is talking about. You HAVE to do the readings or most likely you won't get a good grade. She would give quotes to identify and if you didn't do the readings it would be impossible to tell who said what. She gives a lot of quizzes, 2 response papers, a midterm and a final. She was a very good teacher. I took her in the summer and she gave lots of quizzes before class but they were just easy details from the book so you'd do well if you just read the Greek classics assigned. We also did powerpoint presentations and that wasn't too challenging, more like summarizing. And if you have a real problem, she will listen.

She is very helpful and clear. She cares about her students and likes class participation. She gives quizzes based on her lectures & readings but they are ok. I totally recommend her. So Take her. She's one of the best professors in classics!

She is an extremely helpful lady! She does require you to do work and attend class. She gives very clear lectures! Quizzes on reading, must buy books! She takes out personal time to help students. very passionate about what she teaches. Requires work to be done! If u listen carefully in class you can def.ace all the quizzes!

Only had for a week or two. But from what I see she is a great lady who knows what she talking about. She stopped coming due to surgery. But if she is back I think she would be a great professor to have. Her requirements to read the books assigned and be on TIME

Previous 3 comments are very untruthful. I took the class probably at the same time with those people and got A-. The only thing is that she does take things personally, other than that she is very helpful - she reviewed my paper draft 2 times and gave me comments hot to improve it. If you're paying attention and read all the book you'll do great.

She's ehhh...nice but moody sometimes. grades harshly on her essays. her exams might seem easy but they are sometimes tricky. She scolds the computer when it doesn't work..which is uber annoying. she really does tell us the story on a 3rd grade level.

Wants specific answers and can be boring with certain books. Don't need to read books just pay attention in class.

Goes over every reading so you don't really have to read, just pay attention to her lectures. Sometimes she's wants very specific answers on quizzes. Midterm and final exams are easy if you pay attention to her. She can put you asleep.

She explains everything crystal clear, do the reading assignments and you have an A guaranteed.

There's a lot of readings but they are interesting and she explains all of them very well. Just take notes and you will be set for her quizzes and exams!

I loved this professor! She is amazing, all of the reviews on here are false. This class will only be hard for those who are lazy. If you are too lazy to listen in class and to write some notes; you will obviously not pass. Every class requires some effort. Professor Luhrs explains all of the books crystal clear; it's up to you to pay attention.

As long as you read you should get an A. She is very clear. At first I thought she was mean because that is the way she comes off but she is a very sweet person once you get to know her. I asked her what she wanted from me in the paper and she told me exactly what to do. She is a good professor.

I took her for a College Now class back when I was in HS. She was so easy. There were tests every 2 weeks but if you study notes, everything from the notes were on the tests. Lectures were understandable, pretty much common sense. 1 project, also easy.

Professor Luhrs is an amazing tacher, I noticed many people don't like her because she is very upfront and honest. She doesn't give extra credit but if you read and memorize the tests are super easy. She's always willing to help her students and she's very knowledgable, her lectures are great (shes an awesome translator).

Great Professor!!! Gives amazing lectures on Greek mythology. She helps her students understand the material. Quizzes are based on her explanation of the book. Easy class to pass!

Overall she's a great professor. She is very knowledgeable and she shares that knowledge very well among her students. Things to note, make sure you focus on the material, study hard, make sure you aren't absent, and don't stress her course out. She's a straight forward professor, and she's very understanding, but she really makes you work hard.

This professor is very passionate about what she teaches and it shows. There will be a book or article to read for every movie you watch, and one of these you will have to write your paper on, so take good notes. The exams are half multiple choice half short response, and if you read all of the material you wont have a problem. The mc are easy.

This professor is great and amazing. If you ask her any questions or need help in class, she will try the best to help you out. She wouldn't give you a hard time, a very easy grader and class. If you read the books and movies she asks you to, you would pass easily with it. She also responds to email fast, her class is interesting and easy.

Great Professor! She throughly explains the readings to help us get a better understanding of the texts.
