she's a great teacher, but not like your high school spanish teacher. she grades test very harsh. like if you misplace one word its wrong. just make sure to study the material and you'll be fine. dedicate your time to her spanish class and make sure to go to tutoring

It took a lot of studying the vocab, grammar and verbs. Just dedicate a few days a week. The first few tests are Cake, but get harder like anything else. La profesora Manetta is pretty lenient with absences, but its your loss when you miss class. Shes a very funny, sincere and helpful teacher!!

I absolutely loved this teacher! She has a great upbeat personality. You really need to study your vocab cause she gives a lot of quizzes.

Excellent teacher for those who WANT to learn. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone who isn't already familiar with Spanish because her curriculum moves fast. Commit yourself, STUDY HARD! One drawback is her attractiveness. She's an intriguing woman, so I found it a great injustice I met her under the constraint of the student/teacher context.

this class is muy muy simpatico (very very simple). Miss Manetta's style of teaching, and her approach towards the subject are both rare as opposed to teachers I've had in the previous years (find out for yourself). Easy teacher, takes her job seriously but loves a good joke, lots of vocab quizzes, and retakes allowed! You'll love Spanish! I did.

Who would you rather have teaching you; some old washed up professor who only speaks 2 languages and teaches spanish because they can't get a job elsewhere, or a professor who really understands linguistics and how to learn a language? If a student is failing then the teacher is bad!!! If students arrive late its ok, but if an instrcutor does its the end of the world.. I loved the class, it was hard but i learned as well. And we were in the same class, she was testing us to see if we remembered the assignments!!!!

Need to say i am ashamed of being one of your classmate. Judging is so easy when you are failing the class. I studied hard and received a good grade. Study hard because we are in college!!

First off, yes she is hot. But she is also a pretty good teacher. Unclear at times w/ assignments. She doesn't really check any work that she assigns, sometimes forgets that she even assigned work. It's a pretty easy class to pass, tests are straight forward. Mid-term and final are nothing close to the tests like she said they would be.

You might actually have to open the book and learn some of the language yourself. Ms. Manetta isn't going to hold your hand and teach you everything. She's not a bad teacher. Sometimes she can be a little unclear, but most of the time she helps you understand the language. I didn't even go to the 5 tutoring sessions after the midterm & I got an A!!

I loved this class, last Fall. I miss Manetta. She was extremely helpful and made the class fun. There were times when people complained, but in the end, the majority of us all received an A. And yes, she is very HOT lol. Just study, work together, do the homework and you'll do fine.

Manetta's Spanish 1270 class was one of the easiest courses I've ever taken. She assigns a lot of book work, but it's not difficult. She's a big fan of translating passages as well as participation. As long as you do the work and put in the effort, you'll do fine. I would recommend her to anyone.

Prof.Manetta is an excellent teacher. She teaches every aspect of the languages and she tries to motivate the entire class. She helps when the students don't study by having us retake the tests. Very nice. Easy class if you study and do the work!! Don't take her class if you do not want to study!!Hates people that are tardy LOL

Professoressa Manetta is the best instructor I have ever had at MCC. She is native italian and knows the language 1000%. I enjoyed the class, at the end we were like a family..She is very understanding BUT no lies and study...She cannot stand excuses: STUDY!!!Recommend her if you truly want to learn Italian

I love this class , prof Manetta creates an easygoing environment where learning is the priority but it is not stressful. Quizzes every week on the topic of the week. Be prepared for daily oral conversations in class . I would recommend her to anyone she is the nicest and most knowledgeable instructor.

Prof Manetta is a great professor, very knowledgable and caring. She is firm and does give out grades. Many students cried when they received bad grades, and she was very nice in allowing to retake a quiz but some of my classmates were so demanding. She always handled the requests with professionalism and was fair to the students that studies

Prof. Manetta helps make Spanish more fun by encouraging participation and working together in groups. She lectures for half the class then let's us do homework with the class. Quizzes are fair and easy. She reviews before a test. She will help you I know tutoring If you're stuggling.

You need to work for your grade. Yes she is nice and caring but she is very fair, she does not give out grades. Be ready to use Spanish every time she asks questions, she is not looking for perfection but for effort. She is tough but I would recommend Prof Manetta to anyone that wants to learn Spanish and not just receive credit for the class

Loved the class We had the chance to learn and socialize with our classmates which made it fun as well. Pop quizzes every week some given with no notice which I loved because you needed to be prepared for each class. Some students complained only because they did not study and spent more time on their phones. next time in class pay attention

I hate when students think that college is like middle school. Professor Manetta is professional and very understanding but will not allow disrespect and ignorance in her classroom. Very exciting class. She's super friendly and makes the class like a fun highschool classroom. Everyone gets along and it makes it comfortable to learn easily. There is a lot of verbal practice but you get extra credit for that. She might go a little fast but if you pay attention it's an easy A. you just have to put the effort for it.

Prof. Manetta cares about your grade in the class, she offers tutoring and will allow to go over anything and was very helpful. She will stop and make sure everyone understands the material before we move on. Participation is highly emphasized in her class. She also has a humorous side, very knowledgeable. I took spanish for the credit but she made realize that It was valuable. Best professor I have ever had at Macomb, hands down. If you dont mind participating in class and working a little extra for your grade, she is for you. I am sad that the class is ending. I learned more in this semester than in HS. I enjoyed going to class even if it was at 8am because I am not a morning person. Professor Manetta encourages all of her students to participate and always creates new activities so we feel comfortable speaking in front of the class. I do 100% recommend Prof M.

Dr Manetta is the most caring person I have met. As a professor she is very knowledgeable. Due to the virus we went online and she is available anytime no matter the time. And to reply to a comment I read, some students are lazy and are taking advantage of this pandemic and online excuse to not do their work. Our courses have half of the workload

I took 3 years in HS and I thought I knew it all. Dr M is the real deal, I learned in a semester what I never learned in 3 years. She was patient during our zoom lectures when students asked the same question over and over. She was always available during office hours and tutoring. Love the class!!!! 100% recommend

Be prepared to work. Learning a language takes dedication and she will hold you to it. Engaging, helpful, and always available. Grading rubrics always supplied, attendance and hw policies clearly defined in syllabus. I did not have Span in HS & was returning as an adult to learn for work. If you put in the work, you'll get the grade.

Dr. Manetta was a wonderful teacher for SPAN1260. You have to be ready to learn spanish in order to pass her class, but she helps you majorly along the way. She offers extra credit if you missed a few assignments. Excellent choice of teacher.

The class is very hard as it is a fast paced 7 weeks. The professor is well organized and has set easy due dates. One thing that I love about the course is that everything is clear. Hard course as it is an accelerated one. Dr. Manetta had a well organized and clear course structure.Assignments and exams were due mid and end of week.Before class even started she sent out a detailed and informative welcome email about the course. she was very funny and straightforward sharing that the course is a "hard one" and a torture.

I will miss the class. The course was hard lord of work and deadlines on a Sunday but the resources were excellent . Everything you needed for extra help was on my canvas page. Dr.Manetta is exceptional . She wants all of her students to succeed, Although it was an online course she was always available but since the beginning of the course gave us rules and policies to follow. There is no way to fail her classes unless you are lazy and do not do the work. She also offered weekly Zoom meeting for who needed help.

I just stared the class and there is a lot of work, BUT the VHL is easy as all of the work is multiple choice or tutorials to watch. I have heard about this class being hard but being an 8 weeks class I was expecting this kind of workload. In these past days I contacted Professor Manetta 3 times and she always was available to help.

I took this course last semester and I loved it. Due to my work schedule it was the only available option. There is a lot of work but it is normal for an accelerated course. I read some comments below which are far from the truth. Now if you email anyone on a saturday at 2 am you will NOT get a reply. Dr. Manetta has been always available for zoom

I was having a hard time navigating the course and enrolling in the VHL program. Dr.Manetta helped me immediately. Always available. There is a lot of work but it is an 7 week course. If you are very busy i would recommend to take the 15 w course. But I love the class so far . Dr. M rocks

This is the best professor ever. For an online class it is so much. Exams are on Zoom but she is nice and helpful. Always available , and also sends emails with greetings and reminders. BUT you need to study as she is a tough grader

This class was an online 8-week class. Recommend taking this class in 16 weeks. There is a lot to learn and remember. The homework is through the textbook and then a midterm and final speaking exam. Overall, the class was well organized and Professora Manetta is amazing she wants her students to be successful. Would 100% take her again. Love her!

my grade isn't official yet but that is what it appears as. As an online class there is a lot of required online work that is tedious and can be annoying to use. As a professor she did a great job reminding when homework and exams were due and was very easy to talk to. I would recommend this class.

Tough 8-week course, but Dr. M is personable and always available to help. Use unstuckstudy and the VHL program to streamline the workload. Consistent due dates and organized structure make it manageable if you put in the time.
