SHE BRINGS HER VIEWS TO THE CLASS AND HER TEST I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THEY COME FOM AND i WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND THIS LADY AT ALL. SHE IS WAY OFF TOPIC AND SHE IS NOT VERY PERSONABLE AND COMES OFF VERY UNAPPROACHABLE. I ENDED UP GETTING A (D) IN THE CLASS.

SHE IS SO HARD THAT YOU WILL NOT PASS. SHE LIKES TO FAIL PEOPLE AND HER TEST WHERE DO SHE PULL THESE QUESTIONS. SHE IS JUST HARD.

How is she teaching soc. 101 with a master's in english... I felt like I was taking an english class. soc 101 was awful.

If you plan on taking this class do not plan on taking anything else during this time. She gives a ton of crazy nonsene homework that will leave you even more nuts then you were before. Also her study thats you have to fill out having nothing to do with the test.

I took her online class and dropped it the first week. 5 Chapters of the text book was our first week assignment. I had issues with some of her materal and it took her over a week to respond. Don't take!!!

This class was the worst. It was more time consuming than my English 102 class and Bio class combined. It was only a 3 credit online class and I feel like I should of received at least 5 credits for all the meaningless work that she made us do . You will regret taking her. I'm trying to spare you! IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!

Took class online. Class required to much work. She says that you should only spend 1 hour per night on the class. But she'll assign 7 assignments to be completed in 3 days. She really needs training on how to effectively teach online courses. My class started off with 20 people and we lost over half 3 weeks into class.

Do not take this class. It is just a ploy to steal your money. The teacher overloads with class work and you end up dropping the class. My class lost over half the people it started with. Someone should report them to the Better Business Bureau for stealing.

I am currently taking this professor's Anthropology 101 class.It is ridiculous!! Half of the class dropped after the first week. She assigns "8-10" hours of homework every week which has turned into about 18 for me. The work is not hard but there is a ton of it!! I am very disappointed and would not recommend her online classes to my worst enemy.

She is horriable! STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! She tells you that there will be 10 hours of homework a week but it really takes almost 20 hours TONS of busy work that have nothing to do with the tests and all gardes are subject to her personal thoughts if she likes you. She uses a different book then you and yells at you if you ask questions or for help

She is horrible. She shouldn't be a teacher. I am currently taking here and she is strict and gives a lot of homework! She is IRRESPONSIBLE and UNORGANIZED. Whatever you do, DON'T TAKE HER!

Worst Teacher I have ever had-run away! More homework then I have ever had and it is stupid stuff, grades more for english then content. Calls students liars, loses work(impossible in a online class), not helpful. If you have to take Soc 240 find somewhere else to go, you will regret taking her and/or have no life.

This teacher is THE WORST teacher i have ever had. She is disorganized, unclear with instructions and then penalizes you because she failed to do her job correctly, short with students, insulting, spiteful, ridiculous, STUPID. The class is easy but she makes it hard. If you take anything out of this review STUPID should be it. Avoid her if you can.

This teacher is horrible. She doesn't grade stuff on time. She makes excuses for why she isn't getting things done. Her directions are extremely confusing and don't make sense. There is so much homework its ridiculous. It’s not a class to take if you have three other classes. I would not recommend her for anyone. taken online.

Most insane class I ever took. Fine start (albeit 10 hrs/wk of HW), then morphed into an eerie ghosttown-like movie. Nothing after March 1 was graded until the Saturday of finals week (May 19). None of her grades post-3/1 ever appeared on Angel - your grade just magically transcripted itself. Started with ~24, 14 dropped, TWO did last assignment.

Absolutely worst professor I have EVER had. I took 240 online and she grades more strict that an in class professor would. Does not explain her grading either. She grades on her own opinion rather than the actual material

She is so terrible, that it is not even funny. She contradicts everything she says, and she has no idea what she is even talking about. She then yells at you for not understanding the material. She gives tests over book chapters, while the work she assigns is only youtube videos that have nothing to do with the book. DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH HER!!!

I normally try to be very objective when rating professors, but this is a challenge. Prof. Worthington takes a lot of personal time due to "Family Emergencies," is very disorganized, too many grammar errors for someone with background in English, does not grade in a timely manner, contradicts herself, assigns hw that does not make any sense. AVOID!

Not a good teacher. She does not respond to emails..and I had her for an ONLINE class. Her directions are very unclear! I would avoid taking her classes. I am only a few weeks into the class and I know it will be a pain to finish. She is not very helpful at all!

She is an awful professor. She is very confusing and her instructions are terrible. When you do ask about grades she is rude. It is a no win situation. Avoid this professor.

Hardest class I have ever taken.Material is easy but she assigns SO much work. She thinks everyone has no other life.Did the hw all last minute and got an A.She grades based on opinion and she is rude as well. She gives points off for spelling & she misspells all the time.She is late on getting grades up,forgets to put them in so you have zeros.

Does not give clear directions and makes course very frustrating. I came into this class expecting to learn a ton and have fun... not to be confused for weeks and have to drop the class just a few weeks in.

Easily one of the worst teachers I have ever had. She always goes back on what she says and tends to not really teach you anything anyways. She is terrible at posting grades and is always putting the wrong grade in. The class had so much work and was mostly an online class yet attendance was mandatory. I would avoid her class.

She's a nice lady, but I dont think she was meant to teach. We literally didnt do anything sociology related because she talked about her kids/life most of the time. She gave waaaay too much homework in the beginning, but she became so overwhelmed with all the classes she taught. Eventually she just stopped giving homework. Shes a crazy lady!

Professor Worthington is very unclear in her expectations for everything in the class. She has all her classes do this end of the semester project which is crammed into the end of semester. Her tests are word for word from the study guide that she makes you do, which you can use on the test, but she never lets you see what questions you got wrong.

Horrible teacher in my eyes! Do not take if you want to be graded like you are in an English class. She is very strict with spelling and grammar, and grades apa format, but does not even know the true aspect of it. Oh and the funny thing is you will find her making spelling mistakes, and try's to sound more sophisticated than what is needed.

Clearly does not know how to run an online class. For example, she would create an assignment and make it due Feb. 2nd. But she would have the assignment locked (students are unable to view it) until Feb. 9th. This happened multiple times. Did I mention she accidentally deleted our first assignment and we had to resubmit it? VERY unorganized.

Worthington is one of the worst professors I have ever had. She is extremely vague in her expectations and is a tough grader. She takes off points for minor spelling or grammar errors, but has many errors of her own. If you are looking for an instructor that makes the class fair, with clear expectations, this is the LAST TEACHER YOU'LL EVER WANT.

Unless you NEED this DO NOT take it. SO unclear, half the time all she talks about are her kids and how awesome they are. Reads right off the powerpoint in lectures and most times says out loud "I don't even know what that means" when reading. Group project is a huge portion, pick wisely. Study guides are long, but make the tests super easy.

I spent 6 hours on a study guide that was supposed to emulate the test exactly and the test was somewhat different! Save yourself the time and frustration!! Terrible at grading and terrible with attitude. I had huge problems with her regarding an assignment where she expected me to use another students account and refused to give me my own. Doesn't answer emails. Attitude problem. However, the class itself is easy. No homework. Do the study guides- they mirror the test word for word and you can use it

Her class is way more than it needs to be. She is very big on forum posts, but has us grade them very strict. Arguments broke out because of them! She has one long project going thoughout the semester which is a powerpoint, grades like an english teacher, requires updates that require 3+ hours of work,very unnecessary for an online class @ JJC!LOL

Reverse Transfer from Big 10 University For a professor who expects good grammar and knowledge of APA, she has neither. She does not have realistic expectations as to how long it takes to read the chapters, nor does she write clear and concise questions. She will take off points when you don't write exactly what she wants you to guess from her mind

Hello Everyone, I took this teacher for a religions class and it was suppose to be a simple class. I looked up Mrs. Worthington and she had a 2.5 when I looked. Not many people had good things to say so I said lets give her a chance. Boy was I wrong. Beware and make sure to do all updateds for your final PowerPoint. She is rude and good luck.

Barely taught but when she did she spoke from one perspective about everything which contradicts the whole concept of sociology. A teacher who would constantly get her dates mixed up for assignments. The dates that she would say in class would be completely different from the ones that would be on canvas. Would never take any class of hers again.

she reads off of one powerpoint slide for the entire class, assigns a new paper just about every week, and has an attitude. teaches through anecdotes and her own personal perspective which is contradictory to the whole point of sociology. could listen to her for the whole class and still not learn a thing. attendance is graded. do not recommend her

Omg this class was ridiculous. Only slideshow lectures, I did not learn a thing, the tests were impossible and none of the material was in the book. Plus she grades your essay questions like an English professor. She is always changing due dates and assigning new items last minute, she rambles about her personal life constantly. do not recommend.

DO NOT take one of her classes, pick anyone else!!! She doesn't let you use your computer to take notes even though that is where the study guide is posted. The class is so dumb, I learned more in high school soc. All she talks about is her kids and her personal life, I learned nothing.

She has completely lost her mind and needs to hang it up. Do not take one of her classes, it's a headache waiting to happen and such a waste of time. She spent 2 weeks going over the same chapter because she kept forgetting she already finished teaching it. Messed up my grade along with my classmates because she has no clue what's going on.
