The class can get a little boring sometimes, but if you can focus during class you will find that her test come straight from her lectures. You do have to study the material.

helps those who are in class and try hard, gives great notes, for tests make sure you know how to apply the knowledge and not just memorize it

I thought she did a wonderful job with this class. She is very willing to help and even throws out a joke during her lecture every now and then!

I think she is helpful when you go to every single class. but helpful isn't enough, because her test can make you feel stupid.

Makes biology harder than it should be, but is definately willing to help people, espescially those who come to class!!

She is a little difficult to understand sometimes (she has an accent, but I'm not sure where from), but she tries to make things clear. She has after class help groups before an exam and she emails the notes. She's not a bad teacher... but I've had better.

Diller sends her exact class notes straight to your email. I hardly attended her class and i ended up with an A. She does give bonus points for attendance on fridays and also gives a bonus quiz to help your grade. I thought the class was easy,and I it was great not having to go and still do well.

Diller is great. If you go to class, and read your notes you'll make an A. She gives tons of bonus on the tests, bonus for coming on some fridays, and a bonus quiz. This class is so easy.

If it is a big game weekend go to class b/c she will give bonus on Friday, So much bonus on every test is hard to do bad! I taught myself everything from her outline using my book. She emails you the outline every week, so I went probably 10 times. I studied the whole week before the test though.

Very nice professor, for an upper level class, quite easy... just study the old tests and all is well, as in the class average for our first test was a 92.5! Declines a slight bit after that, but just study the tests and 'key concepts' and you'll have a good grade.

Diller is a great techer and knows what she is talking about. She posts the PP slides on webct. she lectures straight from the book. go to class and listen. She offers great review sessions for the tests. If you don't mind her subconscience cough, than you'll be fine. Study for the tests, and you'll get an A. She offers bouns quizes 10pts added to each test for a total of 40 bonus pts.

it is college. they are not going to spoon feed it to you. she gives you the notes online and the test comes straight from the notes. but she also gives you a practice test.how much better could it get? plus she is so fine....

Her tests were like her practice tests except slightly reworded and she took the hard stuff off of her final. She's really not that bad.

Dr. Diller was a great professor. She knows what she's talking about, and if you pay attention, explains the concepts very well. I thought her class was easier than AP Biology in high school. The final was a breeze.

VERY EASY! if you are an actual student... and study a little... you will get an A. Tests are just like practice test, she is always helpful in her office hours... her office however is a little messy, kinda funny... she likes to give bonus points for attendance, but you have to ask! if you dont, she might not give it to you! overall she was easy!!

Shes as sick as those black shirts she wears the whole semester. I went 2 her office hours & stayed there 3 hours & she tried to help me and i did worse on the next test. She not a horrible teacher she just tries to trick u with the practice tests that are given. Show up every FRIDAY esp around BIG GAMES she gives bonus points and quizzes

Very easy teacher. Gave practice test and test were almost exactly like them she also gave a bonus quiz after the test for 10 ponts straight from the test so just look over it. easy A if your not completely stupid

do not buy the book if you have her, you wont need it. tests come straight from the notes and the online study guides. if you study the study guides you will do good. attendance is not mandatory but its always good to go to class anyway. she's extremely willing to help you understand, even on the test day she'll help you figure out the right answer

EASY. i half went to class, flunked one test made A's on the other. Still got a A in the class. Botton line don't go to class it's a waste of time memorize the study guide and you'll ge a A

Study guides and study questions were really helpful. Class was pointless. Not an impossible class. The final was REALLY easy.

Dr Diller was a good professor and was very easy. I didnt have Wooten, but from the horror stories I have heard, Diller was the way to go. I went to class (which was very boring...) studied one, MAYBE two days for each test and made a 94 in the class. She gives practice questions which are roughly 75% of the test, so it was easy. I recommend!

I loved her. If you can get her for genetics, DO IT! she is 100 times better than Wooten. I'm not saying that you will learn more, but if you put forth any effort, you should make an A. I'm a premed student, but no where near a genius...with the extra credit I made over a 100% in her class and feel over prepared for any genetics section of the MCAT

Take her over Wooten!! She is extremely nice, tests are just like previous ones and practice questions (which she gives before each test). Class is boring, but if you go occasionally and study 2 days before tests youll get an A.

Molecular genetics isn't an easy class. Attendance is mandatory and will make your grade go up (or will drop your grade). Get old tests and study those - they're very similar. She is extremely helpful in office hours and is very approachable. She really wants you to learn. Had her for BIOL 3000 too and would suggest taking her. Really nice lady!

Intro to Molecular Genetics isn't very interesting. It's incredibly vague and she doesn't do a fantastic job explaining things. That being said, it's an easy class if you just study the slides.

Took her over the Summer, for anyone who has a solid background in BIOL 1020, this class shouldn't be difficult. Do the sample test questions she posts and you should be fine.

Dr. Diller is a much better professor than previous reviews suggest. Mol. genetics isn't an easy class per se, but it is not bad if you know how to study. No textbook, so record her lectures and play them back before the test. Old exams are also helpful since she draws q's from a bank. Sweet professor, helpful, & cheerful… highly recommend!

Spring '15. No textbook, so the tests are completely from class lectures. This means that the material on the tests is limited to only what you cover in class. Tests aren't hard, and I believe the average on all the tests was around an 85. She does check attendance, but her lectures are enjoyable as she is passionate about the subject matter.

Dr. Diller gives a practice exam before each test and the questions are very similar to the real exam. No textbook. Make sure you study your notes and read the lecture powerpoints - many questions come straight from the slides! Overall, it was fairly easy to get an A.

Dr. Diller is a great professor. Would definitely recommend taking any class with her.

Dr. Diller is adorable and is a great teacher despite the dry material. She genuinely wants all of her students to do well, despite the majority of students in the class skipping class every day. She gives 3 exams and you can drop the lowest one. Lab is also very straightforward, too. Get your hands on old exams and you are golden!

She is so sweet and truly loves not only this subject matter but making sure her students understand it. Attendance is not mandatory, but you would be a fool not to come to class as she frequently gives out test questions and explains everything so well. Rarely had to study outside of class because of how well she lectured.

Test questions come straight from powerpoint and she gives away a lot of test problems in lecture. Her final exam is old test questions and she drops lowest test grade. Also the lab is very easy and she gives bonus points. I would definitely take her over any other professor.

Molecular genetics as a med elective. PPTs are posted online, as well as sample questions. Four exams (last is the "final") with a drop. Review the lecture notes and sample questions once or twice and you will be good.

I liked Dr. Diller a lot. Her lectures were heavy but shes really passionate about the material and makes it interesting. You have to go to class to get everything because her slides are pretty bare. I found the tests to be very difficult so dont underestimate how hard they will be. Study the slides and what she says and youll be fine.

Dr. Diller gives four exams which are all required for graduate students- from the first three she will drop the lowest score. It is necessary to pay attention to specific details for her exams, which she will give hints about in class. She is very helpful and more than willing to meet for office hours.
