Excellent professor, the class is interesting she gives extra credit and materials to have a better understanding of you assignments. A lot of homework long paper assignment. If you like to write, take the class ou will get a good grade.

8wk class, it was a lot of time consuming work, but it was so easy! She honestly cared about the class and always wanted to know what she could do to improve herself. She was very sweet and always willing to help. She also did a lot of group work which made time go by quicker. Ppl complained about the work, just don't be lazy. Would take again.

After each class meeting you type a 200 word reflection about the meeting. easy group projects are excepted and due at the end of the meeting (super easy though) and only 3 big hoework projects the whole semester (start on them as soon as the assignement is recieved, it sucks doing the whole thing the night before) my fav prof!

The professor is very kind and caring towards her students. She looks out for her students and wants them to succeed. The class has many group work but it is super easy. Including the homework. If you participate and do your work, you can get an easy A.

She makes classes informative and entertaining. A lot of group work, and short games at the beginning of each class, so you will get to know all students in your class. There is a lot of homework, but I guess that is normal for hybrid classes.

I guess she is one of those professors that you either love or hate lol. There is a lot of group work and discussions. If you are looking for a lot of lecturing and just want to sit there, don't take her lol.

Great professor! I wasn't sure what to expect from this class, and I ended up loving it. We read myths from different cultures. Everything was straight to the point. She replies back fast and is very helpful. Make sure to get the book early, as you will need it.

Joanna Nazario is an amazing professor. You need a book that's for sure, but the lectures are very interesting. She is a fair professor and give extra credit which is always appreciated. I would take her again.

I'm more of a science person. So I was not happy about taking Intro to Humanities, but I really did enjoy this class. The assignments are pretty simple. There are a few extra credit opportunities and assignments that require "field trips". Grading criteria is pretty straight forward. Just follow that, and you've pretty much got an A!

I really enjoyed the class. This was my very first time taking an online class and it wasn't difficult. Some of the assignments were time consuming but nothing too hard. The assignment were very informative and I was able to use what I learned in this class in my other classes. Great Professor. Take her!!!

Each week has a theme relating to the Humanities (i.e. Pop Culture, Classical Greece, Modernism) and there's usually anywhere from 3-6 small assignments (200-500 words) about the theme. There are a few independent outings you have to take (find Roman architecture, go to a museum). Overall, a pretty interesting class and I would recommend it.

This is a very easy class, but if you do not have a lot of time to do homework I would not take this as a hybrid format. All the assignments are easy as well. Professor Joanna was the best online professor I've ever had. The assignments are clear and time consuming but not hard. Towards the end of the semester she has you adventure into your town for a museum or food for assignments, which I thought was pretty cool. I enjoyed her class so much during spring I'm taking her again in summer!

Okay so this class was literally so easy and fun. There was absolutely NO HOMEWORK, ever and she gave us 4 Extra Credit opportunities that were each 25 points. The midterm and final project are online, so there is literally no reason you should fail. Its literally so easy and she understands when things happen take her, you will pass!!

I learned way more than I thought, she made it easier and fun. The classes are very interactive, requires participation. We did not use the book a lot, she use a lot of online materials.

I absolutely loved professor Joanna. She knows her stuff and is very much capable of teaching it. I had her for a flex term, and it was still easy. Show up, do what is asked, and you will pass with flying colors. We had projects for our midterm and final. Never actually had tests/quizzes. The projects were also easy. Wish I could take her again!!

You need to attend class and participate in order to receive your points. She grades things on time and gives you good feedback on how you are doing in the class. As long as you show up and listen and write notes you should have no issues. She is a very good teacher and super funny.

She is a great professor. She will kinda weird you out in the beginning because she made us play this name game for like the first ten classes, but youll see why its beneficial in the end. Participation really matters. It makes up at least 85 percent of your grade. And she only has two exams,a midterm and a final.

Just read the story she assigns every week and TAKE NOTES and you'll get an easy A. Participation is important. We sat in a circle and retold the story. If you didn't read you'll lose half your points for the day. You can gain points by participating in the discussion part of class. The stories are interesting, which makes discussion interesting

Prof. Joanna is a good teacher and she cares. The class is fairly easy, lots of reading for every class, you basically reiterate the myths you've read you have to take a lot of notes before each class thats the only annoying thing. Midterm and finals are papers and thats it. No real homework. Would take again.

I took her online Humanities class and had a great time. Prof. G does ask her students to take a few field trips on their own, and write a few papers. I thought the level of difficulty was just right for a Freshman level class. Stay involved, do your work, and you should get a good grade. Definitely would recommend!

I took her online class this fall. She's an excellent teacher. She doesn't accept late work however she does a lot of extra credit. She doesn't want you to fail. Her class can be easy if you do all the work on time. She likes doing field trip after a few weeks of hard work. You don't need to worry about essays tho. I recommend it.

Professor Grzechowiak was a good professor. All of the material was online (so no books or fees!). She did give out a lot of papers to write, but it seemed that as long as I did them, I got an 100. We also got to work on two fun projects, and she provided many extra-credit opportunities.

Professor Grzechowiak is one of my favorites at Valencia. She's super easy going and makes the class fun. There are quite a few assignments but they're manageable, and she's clear about her grading criteria. She also usually offers a few extra credit assignments. I would definitely recommend her class!

The professor gives you participation points for showing up to class, if you miss a class you miss out on those points. This professor is nice, fun and spunky. She definitely places the students outside of their comfort zones with the random presentations. I can honestly say that I had fun in this class!

This was my first time going to college, the best professor anyone can ask for. I was her assistant in class and obtained 50 points of extra credit. She cared about her students and provided amazing feedback. Attendance does matter and those are points that can help you pass the class. I passed her class with an 107 amazing right.

Professor Joanna was a very good professor. There is a lot of reading involved in her class, and participation is 70% of your grade. She does offer a lot of extra credit. As long as you do the work you'll pass. Every class we would just sit in a circle and talk about the myth we read, but you can't use the textbook, only notes.

This professor is very kind and understanding. I took an online class consisting of reading and clear grading rubric. The reading wasn't A LOT but it was time consuming. The assignments were really easy if you did the reading. The assignments weren't boring either, they were interesting and I actually learned. I recommend!

I had an amazing time in this class. She makes it clear what your in for with the course in the beginning and tells you your work load for the year. She had you go on 2 adventures which are actually fun and you meet new people. If you actually do and turn in your work you will pass this class. She also offers extra credit throughout the class.

Take Prof Joanna. You will not regret. If you come to class and do some of the interesting assignments she assigns you will receive an A. We only had two tests which were the midterm and final and they both were online. I missed a couple of classes due to catching the flu but still ended up with a B. You will learn a lot as well. She is very caring and understand of her students. A module is open every week with a couple of assignments and dissuasions. She offers a lot of extra credit to make up for any missed points. Midterm and final were open book and most of the materials on it were stuff taught. I 100% RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE! I wish I was able to have her again! UWU

I enjoyed taking her class and as a dual enrollment student she was very understanding of that. Even though she give at least 3 assignments with at least 300 she tries to switch it up and make learning about the past fun! As long a you stay on top of the work and don't wait until last minute you will be fine. Its very easy to get an A!

This class is an easy A. I took it online and she will have 3-5 assignments per week. All assignments are easy and can be done on the first day. There are two "group assignments" if you want to call them that. All you have to do is skype up 3-4 people to talk about a certain topic and screenshot it for a grade. Highly recommend this class. This was my favorite class so far! I enjoyed reading all myths, and I love our circle activity (Im going to miss that). When class was transferred to online mode, due to COVID-29, Professor handled it good. There were a lot of opportunities for extra credit, so its easy to get A. I highly recommend Professor Grzechowiak for any humanity classes.

If you're looking to take Intro to Humanities or Mythology, TAKE HER. I did into online, and then mythology was moved online due to COVID. Super easy A on both classes, and it's just busywork. There were no tests in Mythology, just discussions. In into to hum, the tests were all easy and the assignments took about 25 min each.

What a great professor! This class does have a lot of homework, but it is easy and thought-provoking. Extra credit assignments are fun and interesting. Her test is based on the material from the given assignments and is not hard. The professor is caring and wants you to pass. Very straightforward class. I would most defiantly take her class again!

There are many extra credit opportunities, so there is no excuse to not finish with an A. Professor provides students with a 5 day grace period so late assignments are accepted, without losing any credit. There are easy quizzes throughout the course with no time limit and one exam towards the end. I would highly recommend taking this professor! :)

She is a great teacher there are papers to write every week but they are often 100-300 word essays. Very easy class just make sure you do you work on time and you should get an easy A. She also gives extra credit so no reason why you can't get an A.

Professor Grzechowiak is a very respectable teacher. She makes each module easy to conquer because of the very useful and in-depth material that is provided to us each week. I will say that writing numerous 100-300 words (minimum) assignments has improved my writing skills. Be prepared to dedicate some time into those assignments!!

Professor Grzechowiak was my favorite teacher! All of the course teachings were just so interesting and fun. She gives lots of extra credit opportunities! The midterm and final was overall easy. I suggest to take notes for each module so you can use it as a study guide. I will be taking her mythology course in the summer because she was awesome.

Prepares for 6 to 8 assignments, but they are sometimes common sense easily to respond too. She gives fun actives. she also grades hard but follow her instructions and you will be find. She also speaks 8 languages.

I did withdraw during the first half (didn't need credit), but she was really nice. Lots of 300+ word writing assignments, so you absolutely cannot slack off and do work last minute. There is also 1-2 group demonstrations which require you to go out every once in a while. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a different type of online classes.

She is super awesome. Most of the assignments is a lot of reading and analyzing history. There is are two projects which forces you to zoom. Lots of extra credit. Midterm and final you have to do your own research on the answers. Super easy.

She gives so many assignments and homework but you have a week to work on them, they are not bad but they can be long but easy. she gives so many extra credits and you have up to three days to turn in assignments with no points off. she doesn't respond to the email fast, so you have to wait a day or two to get answers. overall she is amazing!

Not difficult but LOTS of assignments! Luckily I like this subject so I found it interesting + enjoyed most of the work. Shes very kind + has a lenient late policy. I wish I could take her every semester! I took her in fall and I cant even explain how sad I was when all her classes were full in spring (with good reason though :))!

i took her online 6-week summer course. a LOT of homework (as expected) but topics were fun and interesting. grades by points and gives many extra credit opportunities. no lectures just khan academy articles to read so don't expect a ton of interaction from her unless you email. midterm and final were open-google prob cause the course was so short.

She is good teacher. You got a lot assignments. You have to read a lot and the assignments need certain words length like 300 words or 1000 words. However its a easy class.

One of the most easiest class, understanding professor plus she communicates really quickly and efficiently, and almost all the assignments are graded automatically.There is however a lot of assignments due every Monday, however they are tend to be short. Ended the class with a 97 because I miss one big-ish assignment.

This is an perfect example of what a teacher should be, she was caring and sent plenty of reminders, and answered emails. The assignments aren't really hard I could've did better it was honestly my fault. She gives 3 days extensions with no points deducted and plenty of time to get the modules done. She is honestly great.

There is a lot of work, but it is easy to do. The topics were interesting, and the assignments were relevant. I loved that she had a 3-day grace period for due dates, meaning that if you turned in something up to 3 days late--there were no late penalties (other than the final exam, but she was clear with that expectation).

She is a great professor. 3 to 5 assignments per week, but it's very easy to complete. Most assignments must be done by handwriting or you can just record a video and submit it. There are plenty of assignments to earn extra points for your credit. Just read the materials provided, complete the assignments on time and you will get an A easily.

Interesting stuff. Expect to write a lot, posting discussion videos on Flipgrid 3-4 mins long (I usually did less, was able to use my phone, no webcam required), reply to 2. Sometimes get an option between writing words or doing a video. Two "Adventures" involved going to a museum, trying a new food.

Easy A! Initially skeptical of the "circle" discussions and group work, but they fostered class friendships. Many easy extra credit opportunities. Annoyingly, mostly handwritten assignments, but a workaround: submit a 2-3 min voice recording for equal credit. Watch out for last-minute assignment postings, stay resilient!

Easy A! Your grade is mainly based off participation. Usual assignments consist of a page of handwritten notes about whatever topic is getting ready to be discussed in class & a few group projects. Nothing hard, just show up & do the work :)

What rules did she want for the class like late penalties being late to class and what type of work we want to do and as a class we decided she stay true to her word The work was extremely easily as well

This was one of my easiest classes this semester. The assignments were fun and very interactive. She has this really unique way of teaching but it's very engaging and keeps you focused.

I took her Mythology class online and would 100% take her again. She was very clear in her grading strategies and your final grade is based on a point system so you don't have to do every single assignment to get an A. She has simple extra credit assignments in almost every module. Her course structure really helped me out this semester.

Always looked forward to her classes. Her class was a mix of fun and work. A lot of group projects and presentations but they were fun and allowed you to interact. She did have a habit of publishing assignments randomly so you would have to check canvas here and there to make sure u don't miss an assignment due the same day.

If you don't want to play a name game then do NOT take this class. Attendance is mandatory and the only way to make up for it is to message your fellow classmates and BEG them to tell you what happened that day on two pages of HAND WRITTEN paper. I live closer to the East campus so accidentally scheduling at West was not fun for this class :[

EASY class. You can breeze through it, and everything is self-graded. She occasionally audits your submissions, but it is rare.

She truly cares about the quality of her course. She takes feedback and gives quality content with sources/documents for assignments, so you're not left scouring the internet for information. She also gives clear instructions on all tasks, including question lists, so you know what to answer and aren't writing thoughtless notes.

She is amazing! Your grades basically reflect your attendance. She loves it when people participate in conversations. Her assignments/projects are simple and overall an easy A. She is extremely nice and understanding. She made this class enjoyable and comfortable for everyone. Be ready to step out of your comfort zone!
