Wouldn't take again

She is not good at online classes, the lectures are hard to follow (strong accent) and the labs are honestly pointless because you can's see anything, due to poor filming. She forgets what numbers she uses during calculations, or just does simple math wrong during her lectures. She DOES NOT like to be corrected. Worst science proff I have had.

Lectures are unorganized and chaotic. She has a heavy accent making it hard to understand and her notes are often grammatically incorrect. You will be told to look at the book if you ask questions. She gives a "pre test" however does not go over it nor provide an answer key.The material is not difficult but she makes it difficult. No Hw=No feedback

She assigns bassically no homework except for video lectures that she randomly posts on the canvas at the most random times of the week. The canvas is so disorganized. The lectures are so long, like 5 hours of lectures, and they are so disorganized, boring, and not helpful. She has a super strong accent that is really hard to understand.

Very disorganized teacher.I would avoid at ALL costs. She says to buy a book but she only tests to her lectures with no homework or feedback. Its also extremely advanced for an entry level class. Her lecture videos are around 8 hours a week, She will mark you wrong for grammar errors, and her questions are very vague& confusing. SHe also yells a lot

This was the most difficult class I have ever taken. Each week had 10+ hours of online lectures that were hard to understand because of her accent and inability to use the camera to actually show what she was talking about. She wastes time in labs by forgetting things or by lecturing about the same topics covered in the videos online.

Instead of going over the study guide or doing review for the test, she begins the next unit before the test for the previous unit has taken place. She is a tough grader. She tends to yell at students and is not afraid to shame and embarrass students for not understanding the material. This professor has made myself and others cry.

I'm taking this class online. She grades based on if you do it EXACTLY how she does. I've taken lots of chemistry and know how to do basic things but she counts them as wrong for not being “set up the right way” even though I have the right answers. It seems pointless to watch her hour long lectures, which are hard to understand. Isn't very helpful

Joanna is stuck in old ways of teaching. Very disrespectful. Rather explaining work that is wrong so that you understand, you get yelled at. Lectures are from covid (almost 5 years) and extremely unorganized. Even when she writes info on paper, it isn't all grammatically correct. Your ears will get blown out listening to lectures as she yells.

Do not take this class. She is not a good grader, and will not respond with understanding responses when you have a question.
