She is great! I didn't have any interest in humanities prior to this class, but she is extremely enthusiastic and allows you to choose what interests you for projects and essays. She is always available to help and offers great advice. I recommend her!
She's very nice. I loved her class. I had an "A". Even though humanities isn't very interesting, she made it way better.
She is amazing. Very understanding, very helpful, very nice and super easy to talk to. She is my favorite teacher at Edison!
If you have to take a Humanities class, (Renaissance to age of Reason) this is the one to take! The teacher wants to see you do well. She is not a high pressured teacher and really loves teaching and does it well. This was my favorite class. I learned so much.
Best Professor Ever. My first college A. She really wans you to do well. Really loves her job and gets into gets into her teaching. Mkes the subject intersting. I recomend her to anyone.
Amazing teacher! Everything is crystal clear. She gives a review sheet and it is exactly what is on the test. There was an extremely little amount of work and even that was graded lightly! She is so nice and fun. I highly recommend her!
Great teacher! She is passionate about what she's teaching and makes things very easy to understand. Also, not much HW and gives you all the info you need in order to get an A on tests. Plus, gives extra credit every test.
her favorite humanities class is the Hum 2235. you will learn everything that you will never know. excellent professor. high recommended of taking her. test are easy.
She is probably the best professor I've had for a humanities class yet. She made it extremely clear on what was on a test, and if you pay attention and take note it's easy!
This teacher is the best, she doesn't really tell the student what she wants on her papers but she?s a easy grader, she knows her stuff and her test are just like the reviews. She makes class interesting not monotone.
She made this class more bearable! Her cute accent made the lectures interesting. She is approachable and helpful.
Professor Sazonov is by far one of my favorite teachers at Edison. I really enjoyed her class! She is very knowledgeable and passionate about what she teaches. I have to say that I learned so much in her class and that I loved going to it! She is straight-forward in what she expects of you. I definitely recommend taking her class!!!
Amazing professor, she's a smart cookie, graduate from Yale. Her class is very easy...one research paper at the end, but she gives you a month to do it. she makes you do a 2 page study guide/review/summary before each test..which counts as writing assignments..its so easy..she will even tell you whats on the test. TAKE HER!
She has to be one of the best teachers I have ever had . Her test are easy, however you must do the study guide. Hey that helps you with the test. She will be teaching in the fall. Take her. I learned a few things that I never knew. She makes the class fun.
Prof. Sazonov is a wonderful teacher!! She GIVES you all of the information you need for the test, just pay attention and study for maybe an hour and you will get an A. One research paper(writing intensive) and she gives you about a month to do it and is a pretty easy grader. If I have to take anymore Humanities, I will DEFINITELY be taking her!
She's one of the best professors I've ever had. She teaches really well and makes the class very interesting. You can really tell she has a passion for Humanities. She's very smart, answers questions with clarity, and gives us exactly what to study for the test. She's also a very sweet and friendly person. I strongly suggest you take her class.
Amazing Class! She's so eloquent and informative in her lectures, and really captures your imagination no matter how dull or boring the subject matter. I hated all things art, but quite honestly I'm rethinking my professional pursuits. All attributed to Mrs. Sazonov. If anyone puts a negative comment on here about her, they're retarded or a turd.
All I can say is what a great professor is Mrs. Sazonov, in the begining I was a bit afraid about writing so many papers, but it turned out to be completely different, only 2 short answer easy , one research paper, and take a test for the chapters, She knew how to make you feel interested in the art pieces, At the end I earned an A!!!!!
I loved this professor, she is the best one ive had at edison so far. She is very nice, knows her art and history very well, and lets you know everything thats on the tests in her test reviews. she made the writing part really bearable, i will miss not going to this class.
The last thing I was interested in was art and architecture. She changed all that. The class is very easy and its your own fault if you don't get an A. Even though its easy, she makes it extremely interesting and the knowledge just sinks in. Loves her students and is very passionate about what she teaches. You'll love her, I promise!
She's AMAZING and beautiful! Truly a joy to be in her class! I wish she taught more classes! Take her, you won't be dissapointed!!!
Prof. Sazonov is absolutely amazing. Her class is very easy and somewhat interesting. You have to do 2 short responses, a couple study guides for tests, and a final 5 page paper for your 4000 words since its a writing intensive class. SO EASY! Study for your test and you will pass no problem. She is fine too!
She is the best prof I've ever had. Love to hear her teach, she is passionate and knows material well. She cares about the students and their success. A typed test review is due prior to each test, this becomes study guide. 100% for just doing it! Super helpful for studying test. This also fulfills some of writing req. Wish more like her!
One of the greatest professors at Edison really loves teaching she actually makes the class interesting gives you a research paper that you have to do weeks even a month in advance she makes you do a study guide typed so you can prepare for the tests no cheat sheets used unfortunately books rarely used inside the class mostly power point
The best teacher I have had at Edison. I never thought I would enjoy Humanities and yet, she did an awesome job! I loved it! I HIGHLY recommend you take her!
Didn't really want to take this class; however, I ended up loving it. I learned so much in an easy fun way! Greatest teacher ever! Easy A and you learn!
GREAT PROF!! Makes learning interesting. Show up to class, listen and do the study guides and it's an easy A. Loved this class!
What an amazing professor. She loves what she teaches and it shows. Very helpful. Would definitly take a class of hers again
Professor Sazonov is great! I would recommend her to everyone she goes over everything you need to know on the power point slides and gives you a study guide for the test if you study you should get an A! Very nice woman
Professor Sazonov is seriously one of the best professors at Edison!! Her class is deemed writing intensive but she only required two essays the rest of your word count comes from writing your studyguides for her tests. Plus she gives you the terms/ideas to be familiar with and you write as much or as little as you wanna study. Sign up!!
I took this class for one reason and one reason only, because it's a requirement. I must say after one summer session she changed my view of Humanities, and I ended up finding this class very intresting. She was a terrific professor despite she was gone for a few weeks. Thank you Sazonov!
Professor Sazonov was a great professor. She was very insightful, knowledgeable and I learned so much from her class. She requires a few papers but it is a writing intensive course. As long as you do your work and study the material she gives you, you will do great!
I absolutely love this teacher! I took her twice for a humanities credit and feel in love with this course, she has a love for humanities which shows when she is giving a lecture, she gives a study guide for you to fill out and turn in which is part of your test grade, everything on the study guide is on the test, I recommend taking her!
Very lovely lady and a very good professor! Makes class interesting and easy. It is an easy A class!!!!!! I would highly recommend her to everyone!!!!!!!
She is incredibly devoted to the topic and keeps her lectures interesting because of her passion for the subject. It is a writing intensive course, but there is very little writing involved and one oral presentation. Most of the grade comes from the exams, but she is willing to review any question with her students.
One of the BEST professors at FSW/Edison, I have been going her since it was still called Edison so I have taken many classes with many professors. I LEARNED, her lectures were very interesting. She is very educated and knows her stuff. She has traveled & I was so inspired. Easy Grader, She WANTS you to succeed & learn. That I did.
Great Professor, only one research paper the whole semester. Love her lectures and test are very easy if you study.
Great Professor, I love the way she teaches includes videos and pictures in her lectures. She assigns very little coursework and its easy. You should so take her class. She is awesome and very sweet.
She is so nice and caring.
She is so nice and caring. She gives reviews for each test. There are only 3 tests including the final.
She's a great teacher, tests are very easy if you study. I will definitely take her again.
Great professor totally recommend.
Professor Sazonov makes humanities interesting and exciting. I had to take the class for the summer as a mini A, and I really enjoyed the class. Just show up for lectures and read the chapters assigned, and you will get an "A". I would definitely take a class with Professor Sazonov again!
LOVED HER! She's easily the best professor I've ever had. She is incredibly intelligent and passionate about the course material. Her lectures are so interesting and thought provoking. Your grade is determined by three small research papers and three tests which she gives reviews for. I see no reason why someone would get less than an A. Take her!
Professor Sazonov is the best professor at FSW. She's very maternal and caring, she wants everyone to succeed. Her work is easy and you are never blindsided going into tests, she tells you everything you need to know. There are 3 tests including the final total throughout the course. She's great. Take her!
Class is really easy, show up and you will pass. If you get a B in this class you are stupid. This is the most straight forward class I have ever taken. Essays are an easy A, she gives a test review that helps you know everything for the test, and attendance is like 10% I think.
All you have to do is study for the tests and do the essays. Pretty simple class and her lectures are great! 10/10 would definitely recommend.
Amazing instructor.
Amazing instructor, for any humanities course.
Professor Sazonov is an AMAZING humanities instructor! She really knows her stuff! She also gives you test reviews and if you do them it's 10% extra to your test! She tells you a week in advance when your tests are and her papers are easy! You do have to do an oral presentation, but it's not bad!! If you do it you'll be fine! TAKE HER!!!
Honestly, you won't regret it. Most amazing professor on campus that is passionate about teaching. She is understanding, loves what she does, and is willing to help you thrive in her class. Probably one of the best professors to take for Humanities.
Professor Sazonov is the best humanities teacher. Highly recommend.
Best humanities teacher ever.
Great teacher. Highly recommend for human romantic to present.
Super amazing class to fulfill a humanities requirement.
Great teacher! Everything is in class besides essays, so you must attend. Pro side, little homework, just pay attention. She is very clear and passionate about her subject matter and makes time to explain.
Fantastic professor
This is one of the best professors at fsw. She manages to make learning easy and fun. The work is pretty simple, make sure to do the practice test papers. Also makes this writing intensive class easy.
She provides a study guide, which is incredibly helpful. Her lectures are so interesting, so what you discuss in class tends to stick with you anyway. She's passionate about what she does, and it shows. I would definitely take a class with her again if I could!! She makes the learning process so much better.
Prof. Sazonov is a lovely lady. She's pretty easy going, interested in the subject matter, and makes her assignments easy. Tests are a breeze because of the study guide you have to create, makes you look at the material but not in a tedious way. Highly recommend her.
Interesting class, easy, and you actually learn the material. I've learned that many professors that have a rating of five are an easy A and don't teach you much during this semester. Professor Sazonov makes her class incredibly easy but the test reviews and the essays you write forces you to learn the material in a completely stress free manner.
This Professor was great. She gives lectures with her notes that you use to study for tests. The test are pretty as long as you try to study the study guides she provides you with. The essay are also simple but you do have to do a bit of research to gather information from both the book and other sources. A very simple class for credit.
Truly a great Professor. There was 2 test and all you need to know is the study guide, no surprises. Test also had extra credit. 3 essays, which consisted of 2-3 pages only. One graded oral presentation, present a 5 slide Power Point, not difficult. One paragraph on an art piece. No final exam. Her lectures are really interesting and informational.
One of the easiest professors. Instead of one large 8 page paper, she split it up into three 2 page papers throughout the semester over different things. Basically class goes like this. Show up, go through a slide show, she will tell you what you need to write down for the test then you leave. Basically if you go to class, its the easiest A.
Professor Sazonov is by far my favorite professor, shes funny and super informational and gives lots of personal examples. She will give you feedback on papers and help you improve your writing techniques. Shes a really awesome person 11/10 would recommend.
Joanna is a very nice person, the class not hard at all. she will cover all the materials, her teaching is understandable, the test is easy, and she will give you the specific things to study for. Just stay connected to the work and you will pass. not only passed the class but you will also take away something from humanities. wonderful teacher
Professor Sazonov is the best! Her charisma and way of teaching is simply amazing!!! I took this class over the summer and it was a bit fast paced but walked away from it learning much more than what I had initially expected! 3 essays and 3 exams total! YOU HAVE TO TAKE HER!!!!
Professor Sazonov is the type of professor that really puts her all in her teachings by making it understandable and fun to learn. She's great. Show up to class, take notes and you'll have no trouble passing this course
Great professor! She loves what she teaches and it shows. The tests are really easy if you take notes in her class. She gives study guides for them too. The papers are all easy A's.
Prof. Sanozov is definitely the best. In a short period of time, I learned so much because of her knowledge. She took time to explain the subject and paid attention to her students. I really loved the study guide that she provided to us to fill out and turned in before each test. This really helped students to stay focus on the subject. Rock!
best professor I've had. as long as you show up and listen you will get an a. with tests do the study guide, it's 10% of your grade and it helps with the test so much. never had such an easy and interesting class
A great instructor! Her class is interesting and can be an easy A. Her assignments and tests are extremely doable, just show up for class, review her PowerPoints, listen and take a few notes! It is like an easy history course with some art, architecture, and archaeology thrown in the mix! You wont regret taking her classes!
Great class. Great teacher. Prepares you very well for the midterm and final.
One of the most amazing teachers I've ever had. If you've ever seen Matilda, she's a real-life Ms. Honey. Easy grader and actually makes lectures interesting. Tests are easy as long as you do your study guide which counts as part of the test so it helps boost your score. Essays are whatever you want to write about, so very flexible and actually fun
Joanna is a professor sent by God. I promise you will not regret taking her. She is super sweet and a very great lecturer. The class is only a few essays and exams that were super easy. You get to choose your topics for the essay. Also she does give study guides for the exams. There is also one oral presentation for the class.
I thought she was sweet and very knowledgable. She made the class enjoyable, sometimes a little dry but overall she was great.
Professor Sazonov was a great professor, however, she takes FOREVER to grade and return the papers that you write. This is a little annoying, especially considering most people want to know what they have received on your previous paper in order to make a better grade on your following paper. Overall she is passionate and is a wonderful professor.
Love this professor, no not need a textbook, she gives you a study guide at the beginning and goes over the lecture, giving you exactly what you need to put on the study guide. Everything on the study guide is on the tests, no quizzes. 3 essays, 2-3 pages. gives you what you need to do in advance so you can work on them ASAP. gives extra credit
She is a fantastic professor and a nice person. She cares about the class and does a great job explaining the material. She provides study guides which are 10% of your test grade and they help you a lot for tests. Great Professor, completely recommend her.
Professor Sazonov was an amazing. Her comprehensive break down of the slides made the material easy to understand. Theres 3 test and 3 papers assigned in this class. She also gives extra credit opportunities on test as well as provides a study guide that counts as 10% of your test grade. Overall this is a great class and youll actually learn.
Professor Sazonov is a wonderful educator. She's very dedicated and passionate about the subject she teaches and truly wants her students to learn about ancient history. I think I have learned more from Professor Sazonov than any other Professor I have taken classes with. The class is super easy/fun. Just show up, follow directions, and do the work
Understanding. Lets us turn in papers if we forget. Easy tests just pay attention to the lectures. The lectures are so interesting so you remember a bunch of information for the test.
I took this class as a summer A, the professor was knowledgeable and communicate the material very well. The professor make the class so interesting that I was looking forward to my next class. Whatever topics she askes the class to study that what is going to be on the test. Give extra credit on all test. Best professor so far.
She seems like a caring professor and will often push back due dates for assignments. But she often goes off-topic to talk about radical political things. I don't know how the other Humanities teachers are rated here at FSW but she is decent.
I've never enjoyed a class more than this one. You obviously need to do your assignments right but she makes this writing class a joy to take. She makes the lectures fun and its like learning from a friend. I moved my future class schedule around to ensure I could take her for hum2235 for the next semester. DO THE STUDY GUIDE SHE GIVES YOU.
Professor Sazonov makes class very entertaining if you're interested in the subject, there are a total of 3 papers and 3 tests in the entire semester. She is very understanding, flexible, easy to contact and talk to. There is no textbook needed for this class, all her information comes from powerpoints she uploads.
The only "homework" would be readings from textbook, there are a total of 3 "papers" and 3 tests for the entire semester. Professor Sazonov is very understanding, nice, and flexible.
I just finished this class and realized Professor Sazonov has no recent reviews. Before this class I had no idea what humanities was or what I was getting myself into. I thought her lectures were very interesting, only three tests, and for this semester we only had a few papers. I would definitely take her again for another humanities class.
Legit the most cut and dry grading I've had over my entire 3 years at college. 3 papers, 3 tests (one is the final which isn't cumulative) and they are all the same weight. Kinda sucks that participation isn't a 10% cause I didn't miss a class but Shes very kind. Easy B, kid next to me watches dexter all class and has a good grade.
