Her lectures are really, really good and helpful. She really understands the material and goes at a really good pace, she keeps you engaged all the time and makes sure you understand the material. Homework is online and so is textbook, it helps as preparation for the exam and its a god portion of your grade, def recommend this professor!

Easy class. The homework online may be tedious, but it doesn't reflect her midterms. You can always redo the homework before the deadline to get 100%. Her notes are straight forward, and the examples are not too hard. Go to class to understand it, posts her notes online. Her discussion sheets help with the exams and some are reused. Easy tests.

Very straightforward, only teaches basic basic basic statistics, no lsrl's or anything. She drops the lowest out of three midterms and is willing to curve if the class didn't do so hot. Show up, and you'll get at least a B in the class

She also provides discussion problems for more practice; I found these much more helpful than the homework as they resembled the types of questions on the midterms and final. There are 3 midterms (lowest grade is dropped) and a final. She was clear and concise in lecture.

JoAnna Whitener is a class act. She's extremely clear and direct in her lecturing. In fact, almost every class period ended early. She's very good at providing as many resources as possible for her students to succeed. 3 midterms, 1 final, online hw, and extra credit. If you need to take Stats 13, take it with JoAnna!

Whitener is a really sweet lady that cares about her students. She gives you everything you need to get an A (lecture slides, lecture notes, review questions). There are three midterms and homework is due before each exam. Discussion isn't mandatory. I definitely recommend taking STA 13 with her! She makes it easy and actually enjoyable.

She is the best professor ever. She will tell u exactly what will be on the test and final. During lecture, she gives you hint. If you just go to lecture and listen, you can easily pass. She writes a lot in lectures, but it all makes sense. She posts her notes online so I don't think attendance really matters. She is a really nice person and pretty generous on the test when it comes to re-grade. Listen in class, and basically just do exactly what she did in class. It's pretty simple. Her office hours are really helpful too!

Whitener is a great lecturer, she is very clear! There is very little homework, and tests are fair. Go over her slides and discussion homework before tests because questions can be similar! Even though this class is doable, don't underestimate it! If you make a couple silly mistakes on tests you can lose a ton of points, so be careful.

Dr. Whitener is a good stats professor. Her presentation style is fast yet clear and straight to the point. She mainly did examples and definitions. The 3 midterms were can be a bit tricky and do require calculations and critical thinking. Homework is easy but a bit time-consuming. She posts notes online which is helpful. Also, beware NO CURVE.

Granted I haven't taken STA 13 with every professor offered at Davis, but I can't imagine there's a better option than Whitener. Her lectures are extremely clear and straightforward, the tests are fair (and pretty similar to the discussion and class problems), and she offers tons of very helpful office hours. Take Whitener for stats 13!

TAKE WHITENER! There are three midterms, none are dropped, but 2/3 were HEAVILY curved for my class. They are not hard if you understand the material (aka straightforward). There is homework (not a lot), but it is impossible not to get 100% unless you just don't do it. She is SO nice, has great notes, posts everything online. Gave extra credit too.

She is very clearcut on what she expects. Her practice questions in class are similar to the exam questions and she gives you a formula sheet. She practically spoon feeds the information to you. The final was multiple choice. She curves as needed-for our class she curved the last two exams and in the end she adjusted the cut off points.

She is flexible and available for her students. I'm not a math person but this class was doable. Midterms and final is 35% each so study well. If I could, I'd take another class with JoAnna.

Professor Whitener is amazing. Made statistics seem easy but still taught us everything that other stats classes learn. Clear teaching with lots of examples and reasonable homework/practice exams/real exams. Great with questions and tons of office hours. Uses gradescope so regrade requests are easy. Truly a fantastic professor.

She's great! You don't really need to go to lecture. She posts all the notes online, but she clearly walks you through many examples. She also writes up detailed study guides with you before each test. She provides most of the formulas and material that will help you on the exam, but her questions are challenging so really understand the problem.

She was an amazing professor. She used webassign and piazza for hw and discussion about problems. She got back to me extremely fast. She also curves when need be so that is pretty great. She also used this thing called gradescope where she uploaded your graded test and you would see the corrections and point breakdown. This also offered regrading.

Dr. Whitener is such a sweet lady. Seems a bit confused sometimes, but very open to taking questions and helping students. The class was pretty straightforward, RHomework and Book work were pretty easy. Midterms were sometimes a bit tricky but graded fairly. Learn a bit of R, very good intro for stats. Overall, satisfied with this class.

I liked the professor and the class. I think it was pretty easy for a college stats class. Whitener is really easy on grading. You can literally request a regrade for a particular problem that you think was graded unfairly on the midterms. I only went to the first 3 weeks, then I just copied the notes from canvas (she uploads them to canvas).

Professor Whitener is a very patient and devoted professor. She has Office Hour on weekends, and she is willing to regrade your exams if you request. The exams will not be difficult if you work hard.

If you feel like a question isn't graded fairly, go to Professor Whitener and most likely she will give you some points back. Exams are straightforward if you keep up with lectures. No textbook! I felt her lectures were very clear for what was needed on the test. Her notated lecture content was also available online. There werent any surprises on the exams. Homework was very helpful for exam prep. Her and her TAs were alo helpful and get back to you very quickly.

Truly understand the hw and the study guide because it's the key to passing her tests. Overall, the concepts aren't hard to comprehend but be careful on tests since there are few questions.

She is a great Lecturer, however she is fast so I would reccomend pre-printed notes or looking over your notes right after lecture to grasp material. Grade based on 2 midterms and final. Use the homework , discussion problems, and practice exams as indicators/practice for the test! Put in the work and you will be fine!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I've never taken stats in my life, so I was kind of worried going into this class blind. Dr. Whitener was INCREDIBLE and was super thorough in her lectures. Her exams are graded beyond fair, even giving points to questions you didn't get correct and the option to regrade as well. Never went to my section, not once and got an A

lectures isn't very engaging; just reads and writes out lecture notes. very clear/easy to understand and goes over practice problems though so going to lecture is a Very good idea. do the homework on the suggested due dates so you're not overwhelmed later and it's effective for learning. do practice problems to study.

Prof. Whitener gave clear and concise lectures that were also available online. For an introductory class, clear and concise is exactly what you want. She gave lots of examples and practice for exams and was easily accessible outside of class through frequent office hours and piazza. Highly recommend this class.

This is a great instructor. She is extremely thorough in laying out the conceptual foundations of statistics. Everything is posted online, and homework isn't due until before an exam. If you show up to class with the intent to learn and do the homework steadily (don't procrastinate) you will do well. Would take again.

She is responsible. When students ask questions, she gives a quick response. She is organized. She creates outlines for us before each class. She is well-knowledge. She knows the stuff well and she can catch the key point and concepts. In addition, she gives us some examples for better understanding the concepts.

Never took STA in hs but got a B. I had to work hard for it. Shes really nice and the TAs are harsh graders but shes very nice about giving points back. Shes really nice but shes tough. I would take her again though. Lots of R coding. Didnt curve the class at all.

She makes the course a bit easier to work on the fact that all her homework and sample tests help a lot for the actual exam. She's the type of instructor that will tell you what is right and wrong exactly, but not too much of intuitive explanation in the lecture. She's very nice and friendly though feel free to go to office hour i guess

Professor Whitener is very caring and helpful in office hours. The exams were similar to the practice exams & homework. However, both the midterms & projects were graded very harshly. The first project had unclear grading criteria. However, she does offer regrades. It just seemed like she & the TAs weren't on the same page when it came to grading.

Material was concise, clear, and well presented. I honestly learned a lot. As long as you do all of the homework, go to discussion, read and understand your notes, you will pass. Getting a B is achievable, while an A is difficult. I would love to take another class from Professor Whitener. Grade is decided by 2 midterms, 2 R projects, and a final.

Teaches using worksheet problems. Attending discussions is optional. Exam grading is brutal, but she gives out extra credit points that help boost the grade a little. Grade is determined by weekly quizzes, 2 midterms, and the final. First midterm was more conceptual, second midterm was more computational, and final was multiple choice.

If you took stats in high school this class will be easy. If you didnt, its still definitely doable. She is very knowledgeable and lectures are organized. Go to class, take notes, and take the time to understand homework and practice tests. Shes a great teacher, but dont expect to be babied.

Never attended lecture after week 2 because she posted notes but make sure you still keep up as there is a lot of material covered. She explains concepts that sound simple but do the homework because the exams are difficult and graded harshly too. Discussion was optional, and could be helpful depending on your TA (mine was not). Dr. Whitener is a great professor. Very caring, holds multiple OH during the week and even on weekends, and tests fairly. Provides ample resources and examples during class, which make the material seem practical and easier to understand. R Coding is involved, but she is very helpful in providing hints. Definitely best choice in the STA Department!

Lectures go really fast but she posts everything online. Super accessible and holds extra OH on weekends before tests. She actually did curve the first midterm a bit (most people just didn't realize) and she offered two extra credit quizzes. Her tests are difficult but not impossible, but definitely study for them (go to OH!) or you'll be sorry.

Just do the homework and practice exams and you'll pass. She has a true/false portion on her tests which are super difficult and I never figured out how to study for those. She talks super fast and gives lots of examples so be prepared to take notes. She makes you code in R!! I've never coded so that was probably the hardest part of this course.

Whitener was literally one of the best STEM professors i've had at Davis. She's so caring and genuinely wants to help her students succeed. Though her class is difficult, it is possible to get a decent grade given you put the work in. Sometimes felt like a lot of assignments; but in retrospect, was helpful for midterms! There is a lot of coursework- weekly hmwk, 4 quizzes, a project, and a final quiz, but regarding COVID and political/social climate, Whitener was very understanding and accommodated us on choosing if we wanted to take the final quiz or do the group project. She is very responsive on Piazza as well and her teaching style is clear cut.

Dr. Whitener was EXTREMELY organized for being new to online learning. She was very considerate and kind throughout the quarter, always responding to students' questions and accommodating the course to the curve-balls being thrown at us in the world right now. Her teaching style was extremely effective and I learned a lot. Overall amazing woman.

One of the true gems in the stats dept. Whitener took every opportunity to give us support in STA 106, with detailed notes and a lot of time for hw. She rarely made mistakes. If you attended every office hours where she gave extra practice problems, you will do well (get an A). She was so helpful and all the questions on tests were fair. Recommend!

To do well in her class, only reading the lecture notes is not enough. Go through the textbook problems more. If you are a lazy student, you will probably do very poorly in her class because homework itself is not enough to prepare for the tests. I recommend her to people who truly want to learn statistics. Her class is not an easy A.

She was really understanding and was willing to move weekly quiz dates back a week after a one day holiday. Lectures were pre-recorded take at your own time. Drops low quiz scores and hw scores as well. All math classes will present some difficulty to a lot of students so I recommended taking it with her.

Because of her I was able to balance a full time job she is very very understanding about your circumstances. Her lectures are very clear and precise. Also provides practice exams and worksheets. The homework and tests are extremely similar to each other, which are both extremely similar to the example problems provided in lecture. Overall, the class is quite easy, but the lectures were a little dry since it was asynchronous. Maybe this class is better in person, but online, it was really boring.

There were like 5-6 homeworks and quizzes. The quizzes were similar to the homeworks but the exams sometimes had some curveballs such as T/Fs. Missing one TF would throw you off. Make sure you pace yourself on the timed final... There is also an R Report project you can do with a partner that was pretty easy. She's a solid choice.

Great lectures, clearly outlines and practice problems just like the test and homework. R is hard to navigate, but the TA pdfs and in lecture examples are very helpful. If you watch all the lectures and do the discussion practice you'll do well! Timing for tests is a little bit tight, so make sure you know your formulas.

The quizzes were easy if you take good notes, understand the homework, and know R functions from discussion. R was difficult/annoying in the beginning. She could've explained the basics in the very beginning but AATC was a big help for R. Her lectures were good, but at times she's monotone. Slow on grading. Final was not similar to quizzes :/

I personally really liked Whitener. I'm trash at math, but found her lectures to be very clear and her quizzes/exams to accurately reflect the content we learned in class and discussion worksheets. TAKE GOOD NOTES and actively learn the content in her lectures.

Overall, not bad. Her lectures were very clear. Homework, discussions, and quizzes were on the easier side (based off lecture + definitely do everything!). However, I felt the final was unfair (it wasn't similar to the quizzes + felt like it was written for a different class / covered things we didn't learn). It dropped my grade significantly.

Manageable workload; weekly homework and quizzes throughout quarter. You will need the online textbook to complete homework assignments, but you will not need to read it. All the material is covered in lecture; professor is friendly and professional.

Professor Whitener explains topics thoroughly and answers questions promptly! I had to study, but its not a hard A (I just h8 stats). If you love calculus, youll probably not enjoy this class (stats is weird math), but Professor Whitener makes it bearable! Overall fine course!

I loved her teaching style, it was so clear and concise and her notes are beautiful. Exams were super straight forward. We went over lots of examples in class which is what helps me the most, so if you also learn like that she's perfect. Taking STA 106 was a great experience with Professor Whitener. Her lectures and notes were always very clear and organized and she always made time to work through problems with us in the class. As long as you do the homework and study, I feel you should have no problem getting a good grade in the class.

Dr.Whitener mentions everything clearly and makes clearly notes. The homework problems are really helpful for exams. She gave extra credit for students who came to her lecture who attended the last class before Thanksgiving break. Thus, pay more attention on homeworks and attend lectures as much as possible may help you get a good grade.

Straightforward professor and attentive during office hours. Test material doesn't really stray from homework and classwork, except for the all-multiple-choice final we had, where the material was more elementary. I was also playing FromSoftware Inc.'s premiere triple-A title "Elden Ring" while taking this class so positive review may be biased idk

Homework, discussions (I didn't attend, just went over the problems uploaded), and study guides do a good job of preparing you for the tests. The review below this says the final was multiple choice but it wasn't, it followed the same format as the midterms with a true/false section and analytical question/free response questions.

Good explaining, attendance it's not mandatory, provides resources and you're able to ask questions freely through piazza. Exams are mid, really need to study for them! she provides practice exams, videos, and homework also helps you understand the content. Posts the notes and hw answers after class, discussions are helpful but not mandatory.

Stats is not my strong suit, but this class was okay. There is one weekly homework assignment and participation discussion (just typing "hello"). The tests aren't too bad, but you definitely need to study and have a pretty strong grasp of the content. She uploads helpful resources for exams, and going over the homework/discussion q's helps as well.

Professor Whitener is fantastic. She has an amazing supply of handouts and her lectures are very well formatted. I took notes on every lecture, completed all homework, and did the practice exams, and was pretty set for every exam. No surprises. The MC final has a lot of Qs for the time but was curved. Use what she gives you and you will succeed.

Took the asynchronous version. She provides very in-depth lecture videos with worksheets to fill out while watching. Tests are kinda straightforward, she sometimes likes to combine 3 or 4 concepts into one question which is a bit confusing. Overall, kind professor with clear expectations.

Attend lectures, carefully figure out what is going on on her handouts, spend some time afterclass for asking questions that you do not fully understand during class, and treat your homework seriously. Then, it should be an easy A.

Great prof, gives you tools to self study and her recorded lectures are very engaging. Class has a difficulty spike for the final, but everything remains doable. Nothing incredibly unique just a very good prof.

Good lectures, helpful TAs, Easy tests

Lectures were easy to follow and gave you exactly what you needed for the exams. Professor and TA's were accessible if you needed help. Class graded on HW, 3 tests, one final. Lowest test is dropped not including the final. Tests are SA, final was MC. Easy A if you put in the effort. I did not put much effort into this class.

Professor Whitener is professional and no-nonsense. Her lectures were straight-forward and to-the-point, and she's clear but very procedural. She's easy to get help from outside of class and she's prompt with email responses. The study guides didn't always correspond to the test material though, they help you study but they're not comprehensive.

The class is a bit difficult as someone who has never taken stats, but can get help from TAs/Prof. Attending lecture helped a lot. Section is optional (just going over questions). Weekly open-note quizzes, HW optional, 3 midterms (3rd is optional) + final.

Great prof for an intro to stats class. Overall, most concepts were explained clearly. Generous grading, drops two lowest quiz scores and lowest of three midterm grades. Allowed you to actually learn the material and grow instead of worrying too much about a grade. No graded homework, but offers a bunch of practice problems (which really help!)

Dr. Whitener presented material super clearly -- so well that I just attended lectures and didn't do outside studying (optional textbook) and succeeded in the class. STA13 is fairly easy if you have done well in previous math classes. I went to office hours a couple of times, and she was very helpful. Drops 1 midterm. Take her for stats if you can!

All resources are free! Lectures are recorded and very clear about what is on the tests and what is expected of you. A lot of test questions were from the HW (optional) or discussion (also optional), so you should attend disc and do the HW problems. Weekly online quizzes but they are simple and straight forward, often straight from the lecture.

Straight forward no BS professor. Lectures are crystal clear and easy to follow. There is no homework so its possible to fall behind on material but youll be fine as long as you attend class and donate a few hours out of class to study. There were weekly quizzes which were open note and 3 midterms and a final. She drops the lowest midterm.

Good professor. She goes straight to the point and records lectures. Weekly quizzes and its open note. The midterms can be a little hard but If you do all of the practice problems you'll pass with flying colors.She is very nice and understanding.

I didn't read a single word for the textbook but still managed. Two midterms make up to almost half of your course grade, so be careful; but you get to drop one out of the three you take. Weekly quizzes that boost your grade if you do good, and also let you know what is going on in terms of material. Uploaded lecture notes and recorded lectures.

Professor Whitener is a refreshingly clear and organized lecturer. I recommend downloading the worksheets she teaches with and fill it out with her as she goes. Personally, I did not go to the discussion sections after like the first week bc my TA wasn't helpful. There's weekly quizzes (lowest dropped), two midterms, and a final that's curved.

I went to all lectures and did all 8 HW but minimal studying otherwise. Course content revisits lots of topics from STA 13. Discussions aren't rlly helpful, nor required. Prof Whitener teaches plainly, but clearly. As long as you understand basic stats you'll do fine. 2 midterms, 1 dropped if you do better on the final, all written response format.

She is a really great teacher and teaches the concepts well. You really have to understand them though to do well on her exams. This first half of this class is just stat 13 again though, so if you are looking to learn a lot maybe pick another stats class.

Professor Whitener's stats class is straightforward with clear lectures and useful resources like recorded videos and practice problems. Using unstuck ai along with reviewing the material helped me grasp the concepts and ace the exams. The weekly quizzes were manageable.

Loved having Prof. Whitener. Took her online course but also attended in-person. Her lectures are SO CLEAR, and her office hours are especially helpful. She always addresses concerns and in a thoughtful way. Also exams are based on practice exam content and discussion problems. Discussions could be better with TAs though. Take her!

Such an amazing professor! the lectures were incredibly clear and straight forward. homework, discussion worksheets, and practice exams were basically the same as the tests. no trick questions whatsoever. i hate stats but this actually was very enjoyable. only one homework a week. nothing mandatory to attend. overall amazing!!!

I'm a PSC student. I was anxious to take STA because I'm very poor at anything related to Maths. However, Professor Whitener makes the class extremely well structured. She explains the concept very clearly with good example questions. As long as you follow the steps and know how to apply the formula, you shouldn't worry too much about the grades.

Prof Whitener makes stats look easy. 1 hw assignment per week and 3 midterms, which are fairly similar to her practice exams other than some conceptual questions like definitions. Overall, her exams are easy, just do the hw and study the practice exams. You don't even need to go to discussion, but can be helpful for people who are struggling

Super straightforward class. She is super organized, lectures are clear, gives plenty of resources to succeed, and no curveballs on tests. If you go to class, you will be totally fine. Discussions were kinda pointless but it depends on TA.

Great Professor, honestly so glad I had her. The class itself wasn't hard (basically AP Statistics) and the lectures are recorded. The main thing is that she's very accommodating. I got sick during finals week and she took the extra effort to give me a make up exam. Most bad reviews prolly cuz the content was difficult, but the professor is great!

The textbook is useful for mining practice problems, otherwise it's pretty poor and unclear at times. Lectures are where she clearly lays out how to work through the problems. Grading seems pretty lenient (seriously, her TAs seem to be on a mission to get you points on exams). She's a fantastic instructor for people who may not be the best at math.

clear lectures and non mandatory discussions; 3 midterms & 1 final. Lowest midterm is dropped & 2 lowest hw assignments. overall, not hard & I was consistently well above the average score in the class. just review practice problems before the exams and you are set.

Extremely organized, plenty of practice problems, + good at teaching! It was an effortful class, but not anything too bad (except I thought the final was really difficult) Homework was hard but not time consuming, if you went to office hours you could probably guarantee a better grade but tests were fine having never gone to office hours

I am a Psychology major student, and I was so scared taking Sta. But Prof Whitener is really great. She makes the notions very understandable. Finally, I found myself loving Sta. I really appreciate!

Dr. Whitener is the BEST; she provides every possible resource for students to succeed in the class and genuinely cares about questions/issues. Incredibly kind and hand-grades most of the work herself (for 300 students) which is absolutely insane. unrelated but with her cadence of speaking she'd make a really good news reporter

Nice professor. The class is very formulaic and there isn't much explanation as to WHY you do things, we just sort of went through a bunch of examples of how which made it a lot less interesting for me. Not a bad class but not exciting by any means.

Her lectures are really clear and concise. There was homework due about once a week, but she would sometimes teach homework material the day before it's due. However, I literally got 100% on the homework for simply doing it. To study for exams, I just redid homework and her practice exam, and I scored really well in the class. Love my queen!

her lectures are super straight forward with a lot of examples, only 6ish homeworks, discussion not mandatory and answers posted with r code, she does kind of go slow and taught material right before homeworks were due and midterms, but i thought the tests were super fair if you memorized the steps to each type of test, overall am doing really well

Although I didn't do as well in her class as I did, she was an extremely fair grader and have recorded lectures. attendance is not mandatory. She is extremely knowledgeable in her studies and seems nice

Dr. Whitener deserves all the praise, she is a true example of an amazing instructor. She truly cares about her students success and teaches material straight to the point. I truly do think you are making a mistake by not taking her, this lady truly is the best. People who think otherwise honestly did not study.

Dr. Whitener was a good professor- her teaching is straightforward and clear and made it easy to be successful in this class. She moves through content very quickly, but lecture recordings and notes are always posted in Canvas. She provides study guides for the exams and lots of practice problems. Coding in R for this class wasn't hard either.

Lecture notes are really well organized. 3 midterms with no drop the lowest, final cumulative, formula sheet provided. I think the exams are easy, just read the questions and plug the numbers in the formula, you just need to memorize which type of question uses which equation. The R code part is pretty annoying, but it is take take-home portion.

She takes FOREVER grading which was super annoying but I did like her lectures and notes because they were super clear and concise. She would also take a long time releasing the answer key for the homework and practice exams during midterm weeks which would stress me out so much.

Stats is a daunting class but lectures were very clear and not too difficult to understand imo. The homework can be difficult sometimes but once you understand that and the practice exams the actual exams are very fair. She's open to questions and seems very nice. would recommend!

Material can get very confusing sometimes, I recommend joining the Co-Class, 100% that's what helped me get an A in the class. Whitener's lectures are pretty direct, if something is confusing just review the lecture dont let it pile up. She drops the lowest midterm. She was kind and open to answering questions in class. Reallyyyyy slow grader tho

literally the sweetest professor ever!! she's so patient and kind during office hours. this was my first stats class at davis and she was so helpful in answering my questions and teaching me how to use R. her lectures are really straight forward, and her exams aren't that tricky either if you review the homework and practice exams. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

EZ class I took it alongside BIS2B Ochem+GE (17 units) and got an A. Graded on 3 exams drops lowest 1+a final, weekly hw+discusion post. Discussion is optional personally I never went Just do practice exams+look at study checklist tells u wat topics exam will cover & youll be fine She gives alot of example Qs in class similar to exam so study those

Professor Whitener's lectures are very clear and detailed, and she is very willing to help during office hours. She provides plenty of example problems during lectures, and examples are formatted similarly to homework and test questions. Homework and exams are reasonable in difficulty, but very little curve so it's hard to get an A

very kind professor (says wish u have a great weekend at the end of every friday classes lol). attendence is not mandatory. not too much homework. explaining concept clearly sta013 could be too easy if you r a math major, however it is good for ge credit

I really liked this professor she has good lectures and is approachable. The tests reflect the homework/practice midterms, also the textbook can provide extra practice. Its 50% midterms, 30% final, 15% homework, and 5% participation (test heavy) but your basically guaranteed 20% because homework can be retaken, 1 homework and 1 midterm are dropped.

The professor is really nice, and her teaching style is more based on problem-solving. The course overall is not that hard if you know how to use the formula, and you don't really need to understand it. One suggestion to all who want to take this course in the future: do not overthink any problem and concepts, and things will be much easier.

Difficulty escalates pretty quickly, but a great teacher overall. The final was not too difficult. Very fair grader, and she will remove your two lowest test scores. The videos weren't very helpful, but otherwise great teacher.

Her lectures are pretty organized and directly reflect her tests (the tests were easy besides the final). There are many resources to study from (textbook, which is free, hw, review guides) and are honestly all helpful. She drops your lowest test score, which helped me a lot after I stopped coming to class lol (tip: get notes from a friend).

She is super good! Though the grading criteria says we are supposed to take 3 midterms and drop the lowest one, she actually gave us one more chance (an optional exam) and you can choose to take it to replace the second lowest grade (if you do well in this optional one). What's more, her lecture is really clear and in a comfortable pace.

Very nice prof! Lectures are very easy to understand, and lecture videos are posted on canvas. Exams are reflective of the materials taught and the practice exams, maybe a little harder but can be ready for. Optional exam adds in so she drops 2 exams out of 4 I think. Class average was good. Study and you will be fine. Discussions are optional.
